to this day i will never get over how konami just abandoned the design potential of pendulums in favor of links generic combo spam. like right off the top of my head i can already make up 5 whole deck gimmicks using basic pendulum mechanics alone

#imagine having 2 scale 4 pends in zone and you could make a rank 4 xyz using rhem #a synchro using scale numbers instead of levels and treating them as such #a pend thats a archetype ritual card using the other pend scale as material #pends in the extra deck banishing from there as cost for fusions #pends that can pop themselves to act like trap cards to fulfill an action spell/trap themeing like in the anime #GUH.
