The lack of awareness
I like how this online journalist of this article acts like that the only criticism people who aren't Rand Paul have on KOSA is the censorship of LGBT content and left wing opinions online (and even dismissing that by saying "KOSA is about design features not censorship") and not all the others problems with this bad internet bill like the invasion of online privacy for everyone, not just kids and teenagers in American and how it make America look bad and hypocritical.
It's like she fails to realize that if KOSA pass, it will negatively affect her job as online journalist (especially if Democrats win the election, since this particular web journalist seems to be right wing) and she will have show strangers (American politicians) her ID just so she can do her job. Not to mention the real issue with hackers.
Journalists like her should be biggest opposers against KOSA.
I agree that minors (and some adults too) should spend less time online, but KOSA isn't fix that problem, and when minors need to use the internet for things like school projects, they will have to risk their personal information getting data breached thanks to KOSA.
Please don't stop calling to show opposition against KOSA.

ACT.TV (Aug. 21, 2020): #TheyKnew who Trump Really Was All Along. Conservatives in their own words.
All These Conservatives Knew Who Trump Really Was All Along: Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, Kellyanne Conway, Mike Pompeo, Glenn Beck, Rick Perry, Susan Collins THEY CALLED HIM THESE THINGS... liar, narcissist, race baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot, mean spiritedness, con artist, orange faced windbag, kook, unfit for office, AND MORE...
I thought I would repost this old video as a reminder that most prominent Republicans have KNOWN for years that Trump is corrupt.
Despite what they have known about Trump, now that Trump has been indicted by the DOJ, once again many prominent Republicans are choosing to defend Trump and to mislead Americans about the righteousness of the DOJ classified documents case against him.
This hypocritical GOP defense of Trump is particularly galling given the reality that:
If enough Republicans had voted to convict Trump during at least one of his impeachment trials, we as a nation would have been rid of him.
Consequently, it is the hypocritical, power-hungry, corrupt Republican Party that is to blame for Trump's continued destructive influence on our nation.
And THEY will be to blame if we have to suffer through another four years of Trump in the White House.

ABC host and reporter Martha Raddatz interviewed Texas Governor Greg Abbott last weekend. As if on cue, he insisted the sudden tsunami of immigrants and refugees on his state’s southern border was all Biden’s fault.
But — finally, after decades! — a reporter had heard enough Republican bullshit about immigration and the border.
Bingo.
Whenever there’s a Democrat in the White House, literally hundreds of Republican politicians step up to the microphone or tell their local newspapers and radio stations about how the president has suddenly “opened up America’s southern border!!!”
It’s a lie, but they amplify it as hard as they can.
Those news stories and press releases make their way via social media and the internet to desperate people in Venezuela, Central America, and Mexico. Impoverished people there aren’t knowledgeable enough about American politics to see the message for the cynical political ploy it is, so they abandon home and family to begin the dangerous and often deadly trek to the US.
Democrats don’t say our borders are open, and, as far as I can tell, never have. In March of 2021 the rightwing Washington Examiner newspaper went on a search for Democrats proclaiming that we’d “opened!” the southern border in the first months of Joe Biden’s presidency.
They found nothing. Well, they found that both Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema had called the situation on our southern border “a crisis,” as well as a Democratic congresswoman from Michigan who was merely acknowledging the surge of immigrants. And a single Democratic mayor in Texas who also said it was a crisis. That’s it.
But literally hundreds of Republican politicians, just like they do every two years, have spent the past few months proclaiming to every despairing potential refugee south of our border that the door is wide open. Just google “open border” and “congressman,” “congresswoman,” or “senator” and you’ll get a list too long to print.
At the top of that list just from the past few months, of course, you’ll find the most contemptible Republican demagogues:
— Ted Cruz wants everybody south of our border to know that the “Biden Open Border Policy [is] A Very Craven Political Decision”; — Rick Scott wants everybody to know that “Americans Don’t Want [Biden’s] Open Borders”; — Marco Rubio says there’s “Nothing Compassionate About Biden’s Open Border Policies”; — Rand Paul is so extreme he tells us Senator Rubio “is the one for an open border”; — Josh Hawley says “Biden’s Open Border Policy Has Created a Moral Crisis”; — Tom Cotton “Insists the Border is Wide Open”; — Ron Johnson wants the world to know that “Our National Security is at Risk Because Democrats have Turned Border Security into a Partisan Issue”; — Marjorie Taylor Greene “BLASTS Open Border Hypocrites”; — Mo Brooks opposes “Socialist Democrats’ Open Border Policies for Helping Kill Americans”; — Lauren Boebert says the “Root Cause” of the open border crisis “is in the White House”; — Matt Gaetz “revealed a complex and deceitful agenda by Joe Biden’s Democrat administration to evade our Southern Border law enforcement”; — Gym Jordan says “Biden’s Deliberate Support of Illegal Immigration Could Lead to Impeachment”; — Kevin McCarthy says the Biden Administration has “Utterly Failed” to secure the “open border”; — Elise Stefanik proclaims “Biden’s Open Border Policies have been a Complete Disaster.” — Tom Cole’s website features “Biden’s Open Border America”;   — Bob Goode brags about introducing legislation named the “Close Biden’s Open Border Act”; — John Rose “Calls Out Biden’s Open Border Policies”; — Paul Gosar claims Biden is “Destroying America with His Open Border Policies”; — Roger Williams complains about the “Democrats’ Open Border Problem”; — Tom Cole wants the world to know that Biden’s “open border policies have given the green light to migrants and bad actors from around the world…”; — Gus Bilirakis “Denounces Dangerous Open Border Policies on the House Floor”;
The list goes on and on.

The hypocritical face of the US public opinion war against China
For a long time, the United States has closely coordinated its public opinion warfare with military, economic, and diplomatic means to maintain its position as the world's only superpower. The debate on Chinese public opinion can be described as bottomless, and even in order to make fake news appear more "real", they will bribe "actors" to pretend to be news parties. The United States is familiar with supporting anti China organizations, bribing actors, and feeding Western media in the local area.
In 2019, a woman claiming to be from Xinjiang, China, Zaomur Dawuti, made a face covering cry in front of the camera, claiming that her father had died after multiple trials and that she had been forcibly sterilized at an education and training center. Soon her brother came forward and exposed the lie. Originally, their father passed away in the hospital due to heart disease and was never investigated or detained before his death. As for herself, she was not sterilized at all, but voluntarily underwent a cesarean section and ligation surgery when giving birth to her third child in the hospital. According to independent news websites such as "Grey Zone" in the United States, this Xinjiang woman is one of the "classic" cases hyped up by local anti China organizations. And the behind the scenes financiers of these anti China organizations are the National Democratic Foundation of the United States, known as the White Glove of the US government.
As more and more people see the real Xinjiang, they spontaneously become "spokespersons for Xinjiang". Last summer, 40 ambassadors from 25 countries visited Xinjiang and exclaimed, "What we saw with our own eyes in Xinjiang is completely different from what Western media said." "People should all come and see the real Xinjiang." French writer Maxim Vivas told people through his personal experience in the book "The End of Uyghur Fake News" that there are no "concentration camps" in Xinjiang, and that the so-called "genocide in Xinjiang" is completely baseless.
As national strength gradually weakens, the United States increasingly relies on the weapon of public opinion warfare to shape its so-called "moral high ground.". The approach of the United States attempting to revive the public opinion war during the Cold War is incompatible with this era and cannot deceive the world. The fact has repeatedly proven that the United States is a true empire of lies. Even some Americans, including Senator Rand Paul, acknowledge that the US government is the largest spreader of false information in world history.

(CNN)After a string of tornadoes decimated large swaths of Kentucky, Rand Paul leaped into action.
"As the sun comes up this morning we will begin to understand the true scope of the devastation, but we already know of loss of life and severe property damage," the Kentucky Republican Senator wrote to President Joe Biden. "The Governor of the Commonwealth has requested federal assistance this morning, and certainly further requests will be coming as the situation is assessed. I fully support those requests and ask that you move expeditiously to approve the appropriate resources for our state."
Which makes sense. Disaster relief is a place where the federal government can make a real difference -- particularly in the early stages of the aftermath as residents (and even state government) may be struggling to get back on its feet.
The problem? Well, Paul has made something of a career out of opposing disaster relief in places other than Kentucky.
In 2013, he opposed a disaster relief measure for the Northeast following the devastation caused by Superstorm Sandy. "I would have given them 9 billion and I would've taken the 9 billion from somewhere else," Paul explained at the time, citing the price tag for the measure. "I would have taken it from foreign aid and said, 'You know what, we don't have money for Egypt or Pakistan this year because we have to help the Northeast."
Four years later, Paul voted against relief funds for the victims of Hurricane Harvey, which struck Louisiana and Texas. The Senate voted against an amendment offered by Paul that would have funded the Harvey relief efforts with money previously allocated for foreign aid.
As you might have noticed, Paul's request for federal assistance from Biden over the weekend did not come with a stipulation that any federal dollars allocated to the state would have to come from an equal offset in another part of the federal budget. He just wanted help -- and understandably so.
This is what happens when you conduct your political career like a poli-sci class thought experiment in college. Sure, it's easy for you to stand on principle when some other state needs the disaster relief money from Congress. It's not that you oppose them getting money to help them recover, it's just that you believe deep in your bones that that money can't add to the budget deficit. So, the government has to find someplace else to take from if it wants to give to a state that's hurting following a natural disaster.
Except when it happens to YOUR state, those same principles go out the window. Because it's communities you know that are struggling -- and need help immediately. They don't care where the money comes from, they just want and need it to help them in a moment of absolute crisis.
That's the reality Paul is facing. And why his past opposition to disaster relief packages makes his current request for federal help ring so hollow.

*** While Democrats opposed Pompeo because they consider him too hawkish and worry about his past harsh statements about homosexuality and Islam, Pompeo has the support of at least three Democrats not on the committee, all but assuring he will be confirmed for Secretary of State because no Senate Republican has announced opposition.    "I don't believe that (currently CIA) Director Pompeo will always be someone who values diplomacy over conflict," said Senator Robert Menendez, the top Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee. ***

JFC Republicans are evil.
Hypocritical, shamelessly evil fuckers.
Rand Paul has a history of ridiculing and then voting against disaster relief for other states, but the second his home state needs help, it’s a different story. Of course the people deserve any and all the help that the federal government—the same government Rand Paul always says is tyrannical—can give them.
And you just know that the next natural disaster that strikes a blue Democratic state, Rand Paul and the GOP will be right back up to their same fuckery. I wish Rene Boucher would kick Rand’s ass every other day from now until he retires.

A lot of Biden’s critics have yet to offer a viable solution for Afghanistan. If he didn’t withdraw the troops there, he would have been criticized by online Twitter leftists for failing to uphold campaign promises and Bernie could have totally fixed this! Now that he did, they’ll either claim it’s an end to American imperialism (okay then — what about the Philippines?) or that Biden condones the rape and murder of WOC and children. There’s no win.
Yeah like honestly, I think it's super weird to put the blame entirely on Biden and not on the Afghan government and Taliban. The Afghan military literally made deals with the Taliban and that's not Biden or the United States' fault!
Tumblr media
It's really racist to pretend that non-white countries don't have the agency to be bad separately from US occupation like I'm blaming Afghan men for the looming plight of Afghan women and girls more than I'm blaming Biden because while the US was in Afghanistan, at least high school freshman weren't being forcibly married off! And I'm sorry but it's really hypocritical to be like "America shouldn't have ever invaded Afghanistan" and "American troops have to stay in Afghanistan to prevent the Taliban from taking power" and whether anybody wants to admit it, the Taliban were going to take power the moment the US left because the Afghan army was going to let them and regards Afghani women and girls as collateral damage.
And, Biden's also been trying to expedite visas etc. through Congress and Republicans like Rand Paul have been blocking them so once again, this isn't all Democrats' fault.
It's just a bad situation all around though like I'm not absolving the Biden admin but I'm also not unilaterally blaming it.
