Genuine question, What's Ramadan Kareem? Ik that Ramadan is a Muslim holiday but what's Ramadan Kareem?

Ramadan’s the holiday, but saying ‘Ramadan Mubarak’ or ‘Ramadan Kareem’ is basically saying “Merry Ramadan” (Mubarak = fortunate) (Kareem = Generous)!

It was narrated that 'Aishah (R.A) said:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say:
