oh my god you'll love him (i hope!)

his name is raj, short for rajinder. (full name rajinder singh) he's kind of the baby of the group because he's shorter and smaller than everyone else (december birthdayyyyy). but basically raj is one of 3 siblings who all got seperated after his parents died in a car accident(cliche, i know lol), and he's been bouncing around foster care for about a year. now, raj and his family are sikh. though they don't practice actively, his parents still kept some of the sikh traditions (raj wears both a kara (steel bracelet) and has kes (uncut hair)). raj really was the only one of his siblings who kept his hair long and it means a lot to him to have long hair (especially bc it connects him back to his family/traditions/culture). but basically in foster care one day his foster family were assholes. they thought boys shouldn't have long hair and tried to forcibly cut it for him. Only for... the scissors to shatter instead. His mutation ended up manifesting by turning his hair into vibranium (and by that i mean like. ALL of his hair. he's brown so he has Quite a Bit of arm + leg hair as well). and when he's scared it kind of... like scrunches/sticks and becomes sharp (touching his braid while he's scared or angry is basically like slapping your palm on barbed wire). a bit like a porcupine/hedgehog. (raj has ruined a Lot of clothing by accident) i was going to go with hedgehog until i realized it is the most unintimidating name ever, so I went with Tenrec. which are these sckrunkly mfs:

raj still thinks his name should be Spike but everyone other character was like "there are five different heroes names Spike. choose literally anything else". he's also a lil on the spectrum but like. not enough to be diagnosable. raj Will infodump about sonic Lore though (his favourite character is Tails and his favourite color is orange bc it reminds him of Tails). i have some (potential) picrew designs of him, art-wise:

Sachin Tendulkar is probably going to win the CK Nayudu Award

It is anticipated that Sachin Tendulkar would receive recognition on Saturday at the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) annual awards ceremony in Mumbai. Although it is yet unclear if he would receive the coveted CK Nayudu Award, the Maestro is set to receive one.

Tendulkar had played for India in 463 ODIs and one T20I, for a total of 664 international matches, in addition to his nearly unbeatable 200 Tests. He has amassed nearly 34,000 runs and 100 international hundreds in these games. In addition, he received the nation's highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna.

The other recipients of the CK Nayudu Award include: Lala Amarnath, Syed Mushtaq Ali, Vijay Hazare, KN Prabhu, Hemu Adhikari, Subhash Gupte, MAK Pataudi, BB Nimbalkar, Chandu Borde, Bishan Singh Bedi, S Venkataraghavan, EAS Prasanna, BS Chadrasekhar, Mohinder Amarnath, Salim Durani, Ajit Wadekar, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Dilip Vengsarkar, Syed Kirmani, Rajinder Goel, Padmakar Shivalkar, K Srikkanth, and Farookh Engineer. The honor was given to Ravi Shastri in 2023, making him the last recipient.

The other big point of interest at the awards night is the guest speaker for the annual MAK Pataudi lecture. It is still not clear who will deliver the lecture.

In the meantime, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is receiving recognition for being the top domestic cricket association. Mumbai won the Ranji Trophy for the 42nd time last year. The Mumbai Cricket Association will get the BCCI Annual Awards' Best Performance in BCCI Domestic Tournaments (2023–24) prize at the Naman 2023–24 ceremony.
