Radio!

Radio is free and a really fun way to listen to new music, all you need is either the mobile app, website, cd player that has a built in radio, or even a separate radio if you have the space.

Radio station genres obviously vary depending on where you are but the usual set compromises of country, pop/hits, classical, and alternative.

Here in Australia our "alternative" station Triple J also has a sub station called Triple J Unearthed where you can listen to smaller Australian artists. As far as I'm aware though you can only listen to unearthed via tv station or the app but do correct me if there is an actual station cause I haven't found it ^^;

Of course each country is different so be sure to look up your local stations!

Radio stations are dying because of the mass movement towards subscription services like Spotify and Apple Music, they're becoming obsolete for the sake of 'convenience'. Sure you have everything at your fingertips but it loses the magic on turning on the radio to see what's on. Those streaming companies don't even give that much money to your favourite artists and in my opinion the dopamine you get from your favourite song or artist coming on the radio will forever outdo the feeling of an algorithm made playlist just happening to have your favourite song in it. Radio stations are human. Radio stations are actually curated by people for people.

tomorrow morning at finnie's house we'll all get together and our partner's too and have our monthly big breakfast and visit some more. i know this window where we are all so near and we can get together so often, i know it will close eventually. i am trying so hard to pay attention to every minute

i had dark dreams and restless sleep last night but boba kept me company the whole time. i got so hungry thinking about tomorrow, i made myself a big breakfast this morning too and it felt so good. it's a sunny day. i am finishing my coffee. boba is warming herself in a bright spot and chirping happy thoughts. i have a new poetry collection waiting for me at the library and i'm going to walk up the hill and across the park and through the woods to go get it and i'll see where the day goes from there
