This one is ANCIENT, like 2015 levels of ancient, so it might be bad!

The host’s voice is a handsome baritone, like a stream of melodious velvet as he introduces song after song. The sound of it is more captivating than the music, which already has a hold on him. Having nothing else to do, Hawke’s imagination wanders to what this radio host might look like. Is he a human or an elf? A dwarf, or void, even a qunari?

“Remember,” the enrapturing voice reminds him just after a song so catchy that it has Hawke whistling its tune. “Callers may submit requests using the radio call line.”

The next song is just as fantastic as its predecessors, and so is every song that follows. Whoever is choosing the music, be it the host or otherwise, is doing a damn fine job.

“Welcome back,” the host says in a tone more deep and formal than previous song introductions, “It is now two in the morning. This has been Fenris with Late Night Beat on KWDL, Kirkwall University’s own campus radio station. Thank you and goodnight.”

This is a playlist I made inspired by what grade 3 me imagined college students listened to. Listening to this playlist brings me back to a time I've never lived, but always pictured and longed for.

The reporting from WKCR has been unlike anything I've ever seen or heard. These students were so courageous and important. I also have felt so much anger and fear in the last few days/weeks (especially the last 24 hours).

This is going to be something that will implant itself in myself for the rest of my life.

In my high school every classroom had 2 TV sets for educational purposes. We also had a student-run TV station that would play MTV and entertainment programs during our daily one-hour lunch break. Some of my friends used to prank me using this setup:

One day, they asked the TV station to play some clips about Hide. After lunch, when we saw Japanese school girls gathering on TV, someone initially thought it was about Glay's concert. Then I realized with horror : ''Oh no, that's the funeral!'' and ran out of the classroom in shock. Who in their right mind would want to watch clips of Hide's funeral right after lunch? Later, the literature teaching assistant came up to me and asked : ''Is that guy connected to X-Japan? I like their ballads, but their makeup is wild.'' I really wasn't in the mood to explain everything.

Another day during our English conversation class, the Australian teacher (a sweet chubby girl about 26 yo) asked us about our ''idols''. The class assistant - an outgoing and friendly girl - stood up and said : ''My idol's name is Tetsu. He is a Japanese bassist and plays in a rock band called L'arc-en-ciel.'' One morning, she arrived at school very early when only the two of us were in the classroom. She took out her CD player and invited me to listen to Tetsu's new solo album (I don't remember anything I heard but the cover art did look cool).

this castle is much more of an sad chill indie mood contrasting to my focus on pop exclusionism. i'm sad. the mountains that form my blood and backbone have been swept away drowned and sunk by forces of oil and gas industry. i sit at the river for hours and wonder how much it can raise up and kill.
