had a massage this afternoon and my neck and shoulders were so trashed, my massage therapist ended the massage with “the torture’s over” and gave me some free biofreeze. so for anyone like me who apparently needs to schedule hourly reminders to stand up, drink water, and now drop my shoulders into my watch like I’m some tamagotchi pet:
roll your shoulders up, back, and down. release that tension, besties. ✨

Joni's interview
https://politiko.al/english/politikoff/ish-truproja-i-liam-payne-flet-pas-s-se-kengetarit-ishte-viktim-i517144
Joni Proni, who has served as the personal bodyguard of Liam Payne, the famous former member of the One Direction group, has expressed his emotions after the tragic news of the singer's death. In an interview for the show "Jetë Shqiptare" on RTSH, Proni expressed his shock and deep pain for the loss of Liam, describing him as a wonderful and loving man.
According to Proni, Liam was a closed person and had struggled with alcohol problems for years. He pointed out that he had often criticized her [him] for this habit and had even tried to help her [him] by taking the alcohol from her [his] hand.
"I was very shocked, although I did not expect good news from Liam. I've been worried and upset about it lately. I spent 14 years with him, and I know that Liam has not been very well. I don't blame him too much, but those around him, because they all said 'YES' to everything, even when he said 'I want to die'. I loved him as if he were my son; he was a wonderful boy", said Proni.
He blamed the music industry for the negative influence on Liam, describing it as an environment full of degenerates. Proni believes that the pressures and challenges of this industry played a significant role in the difficulties Liam experienced and the tragedy that followed.
"The music industry has the most degenerate people in the world. Everything negative you see in the world is related to music. The way you are treated and servile to artists is strange. I am sorry to say that Liam was a victim of this industry. If I was with him, he would be alive today," said Proni.
The tragic event has shocked the music world and fans of Liam Payne, as his former bodyguard mourns a person he considered an important part of his life for more than a decade.
Thank you!!

WITHIN TEMPTATION Shares Preview Of New Single 'A Fool's Parade'
Tumblr media
On April 5, 2024, WITHIN TEMPTATION will release their brand-new song, "A Fool's Parade", which marks a collaboration with the talented Ukrainian producer Alex Yarmak. According to a press release from WITHIN TEMPTATION's publicist, "A Fool's Parade" "highlights Russia's pretense regarding the war, and condemns its lies, ongoing crimes and brutal intentions."
A preview of "A Fool's Parade" is available below.
The song, released as a harbinger of the much-anticipated "Bleed Out 2024 Tour", is a powerful expression of what the press release calls "WITHIN TEMPTATION's commitment to continue shedding light on the ongoing existential struggle that Ukraine is facing against Russia's cruel invasion."
For the recording of the accompanying music video for "A Fool's Parade", Sharon den Adel — the frontwoman of WITHIN TEMPTATION — traveled to Kyiv, Ukraine. The music video is being directed by renowned Ukrainian video director Indy Hait.
With involvement in initiatives such as the Ukraine Aid OPS foundation, WITHIN TEMPTATION aims to keep drawing attention to Europe's much-needed support for Ukraine's defense.
In a June 2023 interview with James Wilson-Taylor of Rock Sound, Den Adel spoke about the lyrical inspiration for WITHIN TEMPTATION's "Wireless" single: "When the war started in the Ukraine, we were in the studio writing songs, And it's one of the songs that we wrote. And it is about war, of course. It's about a soldier going to war and thinking he's going to liberate people, do good stuff and be a hero and everything, but then he finds out that he's been lied to by media but also government. And then he finds that he can't go back because he's already in his army gear, for instance. You can't go forward, you can't go backward because you have your buddies next to you and you'll all die in the field. And in front of you, you have a mission impossible almost."
The Dutch singer continued: "So that's what we try to do — maybe also shine a light on certain situations within the war. It's just we're storytellers — it's like amplifying a certain kind of emotion that people could feel in this situation."
Asked how she and her bandmates decided to use Russia's invasion of Ukraine as inspiration for one of their songs, Sharon said: "Well, from my point of view, it's not just their war. I really believe what some people are saying — it's really our war as well. Because it's next to us. They already said, they're not gonna stop at Ukraine; they're gonna go further. And a couple of hours flying from my home, it's already Kyiv. So it's also our war. I think we should be aware of the fact that this is a danger for all of us. They won't stop. And hopefully — we wanna keep this a little bit alive in our own small way by writing about it and talking about it and waving a flag on stage about it."
In March 2022, WITHIN TEMPTATION was one of the artists who took part in a telethon concert in support of Ukraine. "Save Ukraine - #StopWar" united more than 20 countries and bring together more than 50 participants. The marathon was broadcast from Warsaw on the Polish TV channel TVP. In addition, broadcasters from many countries around the world, including Estonia (EBR),Lithuania (LTR),the Czech Republic (ČT2),Georgia (GPB / First),Albania (RTSH 2),Montenegro, Slovenia, Latvia (LTV),Croatia (HRT),Slovakia (RTVS),Austria (Puls 4),Cyprus, Canada (OMNI) and others, rebroadcasted the marathon on their local channels.
In an interview with Greece's Rock Overdose, Den Adel stated about her band's participation in the event: "For us, it was an honor to be asked for it. I think as a band and as people, we really value freedom of speech and freedom and democracy. I think as a band, people sometimes say, 'Don't be so political,' people say, 'Don't be so expressive and don't take a side on things.' But as a musician, I think it's important to represent who you are, not just in music but really stand for what you make and what you are saying in your lyrics in a way. And things that are happening in the world inspire us to write music, and then you also have to take a stance and what side you are. I think when it's so obvious where there's an aggressor and where there is a country being violated, invaded, you should take a stance and then it makes it much easier even to be very clear about where you stand in this whole conflict. Of course, it's something that we are keeping ourselves updated with every day because we find it very sad to see that a country that wants to be a democracy is invaded this way. So we are very honored to be asked also to play for this event, this marathon, and happy to do it."
Released last October, WITHIN TEMPTATION's latest album, "Bleed Out", signifies a bold leap forward for the band. From contemporary, hard-hitting, and djenty riffs to soaring melodies displaying their symphonic roots, WITHIN TEMPTATION has created a sonic journey that fuses diverse musical styles and thought-provoking themes. This is an album that is as epic as it is unflinchingly outspoken, and now more than ever, this is a band who isn't afraid to make a stand on issues the members care about.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, WITHIN TEMPTATION have shifted their focus from writing about personal emotions and societal subjects to tackling global injustices and reflecting the tumultuous state of the world in a way that other artists seem unable or unwilling to do.
While songs such as "Wireless" and "We Go To War" examine the authoritarian aggression on display in Ukraine and other warzones, the title track itself addresses the plight of women fighting for their rights in Iran after the murder of Mahsa Amini.
The album also grapples with the complex issues around a woman's right to choose in recent single "Don't Pray For Me" and throughout, this impassioned and political focus is reflected in the intensity and heaviness of the music. Embracing a new era of musical exploration and lyrical depth, WITHIN TEMPTATION have pushed boundaries and showcased their artistic evolution, delivering a fist-in-the-air proclamation of both their moral convictions and their fearless approach to music.

Balkan states Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Serbia have tumbled down the latest press freedom rankings compiled by media watchdog Reporters Without Borders, which highlighted on Friday the threat around the world from political authorities.
In its 2024 World Press Freedom Index, Reporters Without Borders said certain “political groups” were fuelling “hatred and distrust of journalists” by insulting them, discrediting them and threatening them.
“Others are orchestrating a takeover of the media ecosystem, whether through state-owned media under their control, or privately owned media via acquisitions by allied businessmen,” it warned.
Greece, Turkey and Moldova rose in the ranking, despite continued shortcomings, but several Balkan states registered significant declines.
Kosovo and Bosnia register significant decline
Of 180 countries covered by the index, Kosovo dropped 19 places on last year to 75th amid direct attacks on journalists from political groups and physical attacks in the field.
Reporters Without Borders warned that public broadcaster Radio Television of Kosovo, RTK, risked being politicised with the election of Rilind Gervalla, who previously gave money to the ruling Vetevendosje party, as director in January 2023; it said the biggest private Albanian-language broadcaster, Klan Kosova, had been subjected to “administrative harassment from the government”; and the Serbian language media had come under pressure from Serbian politicians while also complaining of discrimination in terms of access to public information.
Bosnia and Herzegovina tumbled 17 places to 81st, mainly thanks to restrictions and political pressure in the predominantly Serb-populated Republika Srpska entity.
The watchdog noted the Republika Srpska’s criminalisation of defamation and political control of the public broadcaster, RTRS.
Albania slipped three places to 99th, amid intimidation of journalists by politicians and organised crime interests.
Reporters Without Borders warned that the right to access to public information is often violated in Albania, with the government centralising communication; it said that the ruling Socialist Party has politicised the public media by appointing political affiliates in charge of the public broadcaster Radio Television of Albania, RTSH, in 2023.
The seizure of material obtained by investigative journalist Elton Qyno last year demonstrated that although Albania’s legal framework is very progressive in guaranteeing the freedom of press, in reality the confidentiality of sources is not respected, the watchdog said.
Serbia dropped seven places to 98th, with Reporters Without Borders citing a polarised political climate in which journalists are targeted by politicians of the ruling Progressive Party in attacks amplified by national broadcasters.
The media noted some positive results on the part of the judiciary in response to attacks against journalists but said that proceedings are often ineffective and lack independence.
Significant shortcomings remain
Turkey rose seven places to 158th, but the watchdog said that media pluralism is still threatened given that 90 per cent of national media are controlled by the government. Last year, dozens of Kurdish journalists were arrested when reporting on elections won by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The media continue to face online censorship and arbitrary lawsuits, it said.
Hungary also improved its ranking, rising five places to 67th despite Reporters Without Borders designating Prime Minister Viktor Orban “a predator of press freedom”.
Public broadcasting is a propaganda machine, the watchdog warned, and 80 per cent of the media is controlled by the ruling Fidesz party with some private media either taken over or silenced, often by oligarchs with close ties to Fidesz.
Greece climbed 19 places to 88th despite a number of SLAPP lawsuits targeting journalists, arbitrary convictions for fake news and the continued failure to shed further light on the surveillance of journalists by the National Intelligence Service.

Introducing The Complicated History of Festivali i Këngës
There's more to Albania's Eurovision selection than giving us something to watch over the holidays. Eurovision Wars' Phil Dore talks to author Nicholas Tochka on the roots of Albania's Festivali i Këngës.
The Eurovision Song Contest community may love Festivali i Kenges as our unofficial Christmas party, where we all digitally tune in to Albanian broadcaster RTSH on its livestream. But many of us may not know its complicated and at times difficult history; a history that tracks the nation’s former status as a totalitarian communist regime, as well as its transition to capitalism and democracy. Eurovision 2007 - Number 45 - Greta Koçi - "Eja zemër"
youtube
Greta Koçi gets as many YouTube views as Kabát do. She has thousands of fans in Albania and beyond. She got started in 2004 at the age of thirteen and was already in the Albanian charts a year later. Her first album was released and she was winning prizes in music festivals all before she turned sixteen. It probably helped that her father was the head of the local TV station in Shkodra, her hometown.
Oddly missing from her Wikipedia pages and her own website are her two appearances at Festivali i Këngës, the first of which was this year. Also odd is that this clip isn't from the broadcaster, RTSH who publish most of the FiK clips on the YouTube channel - this if from Greta herself, and I have a feeling that the audio has been altered, possibly with a recording from a different performance until there's a cut back to the live track at the end to get the crowd reaction.
All this oddness might have something to do with her being only fifteen according to her official birth date at the time she was on stage at FiK
Eja zemër (Come On, Honey) is a suggestive song for a fifteen year old to be singing at a national song festival. The chorus is
Eja, eja zemer tretur nga kjo enderr eja, ti eja eja ndize zjarrin eja merr nektarin eja, ti eja
or
Come, come, my heart melted by this dream come, you come, light the fire come, take the nectar[ine] come, you
It's by song-writer Genti Lako and lyricist Arben Duka. The former would go on to have several FiK entries in the years to come, but as with Greta herself, this is his first appearance. The only word for Arben Duka is prolific. According to his Wikipedia page not only has he written thousands of songs, but also over fifty volumes of poetry. He too will have several other FiK entries in the years to come. Genti also wrote several songs on Greta's first album that was being promoted alongside this appearance.
Her stage show isn't particularly suggestive, though what rules were in place by the competition organisers, I don't know. If she'd won and had gone to Eurovision in Helsinki, there almost certainly would have been issues, even if the song is the girl-bop of many Eurovision fans' dreams. Hi-energy pop is not unusual in FiK, but it's not a ballad from a time when ballads were very much in fashion across the Balkans. The arrangement is similar to her previous songs, even if the attitude isn't
She ended up fifth. A perfectly decent result and one that would also see her invited back for FiK #46 the year afterwards. Not bad for a debut.
If Greta hadn't been noticed already she had been now. Her early singing career was already going places, and this would have got her on TVs across Albania and not just in her hometown. Many more albums and singles followed into the streaming era.
Her style and songs have remained constant up to the present. A mix of pop and ethnic elements that along with her celebrity guarantee a steadfast audience of Albanian fans who have grown up with her.

Nuclear medicine, in a sense, is “radiology done inside out” or “endoradiology” because it records radiation emitting from within the body rather than radiation that is generated by external sources like X-rays. In addition, nuclear medicine scans differ from radiology as the emphasis is not on imaging anatomy but the function and for such reason, it is called a physiological imaging modality.

I'm sorry but you can't drop "Rounding Third, Sliding Home sequel" in those tags and not say more about it. Sequel when? A oneshot? A full second fic?
okay anon, first of all, thank you!! lmao I texted @withacapitalp like "someone wants more of rtsh!! what??!" so this made my night. 💕
secondly, good eye! honestly, I was toying around with the idea of a sequel while writing rtsh but didn't wanna get too carried away, so I gave the fic a proper ending that could absolutely stand alone in a (hopefully!) satisfying way.
but now that it's all wrapped up, I do feel like there's another story to tell for those two in that universe. if all goes according to plan, I'd love for it to be a full second fic! likely not as long as rtsh, but probably still multi-chaptered. as far as when, ideally, by the end of this year! I have two reverse bangs, a co-writing project, and a football au that's been eating me alive on the docket as well though, so I can't give a firm date just yet!
