PSA: This RP Blog is firmly Anti-AI.

There's been somebody (or some people) using anonymous messages going around certain RPC's threatening people that if they don't become less selective and write with them, they'll use their writing to feed an AI so they can write with that instead.

Not only is this weird and blatantly creepy, as people are allowed to be as selective as they please and threatening someone only looks bad on your end. Even outside of the broad debates about AI, AI generated work has no place in the RPC, a collaborative hobby between artists and writers to engage with another human being.

This blog will not engage with people who openly use AI to generate writing, graphics, or whatever the machine coughs out with stolen work. AI's are well documented to scrape different places for data. You are using stolen work. AI generated content, writing especially, goes against what the RPC stands for. End of story.

jimmy isn't a bad person because he's mentally ill- jimmy is a bad person because he knowingly engaged in making horrible decisions and Did Not Take Responsibility. he kept digging himself a bigger grave instead of attempting to take change. first it was the curly situation and now this.

My name is Coryander (or Cory but Thebe's the only one who calls me that)! she/her only please and thank you! oh ya my callsign is Ouroboros (or Oro for short) and I currently pilot a swallowtail chassis named Wallcreeper (like Tichodroma muraria)!! uuh i'm pretty new to this whole piloting thing too, well like piloting a big mech i've "piloted" my old ship a bit.. but anyways Wallcreeper's been a nice experience so far!

2016/2017?

Real shit tho, just gonna reminisce here, gonna be a lil earnest and all: Homestuck was my first ever fandom back in 2016. What introduced me to fandom, and helped me really get into art. It's what drove me to WANT to get better at art so I could bring characters I loved to life and have them look as I envisioned them in my mind.

Karkat was my favorite and I really resonated with him, he was the first character I ever felt really, really attached to. I met so many great people, so many friends, a fun community for the most part. It was such an important part of my life, too, during a very bumpy time in my life.

For the first time in my little middle school life I felt a real sense of belonging. It helped me explore self expression, allowed me self expression in healthier ways, in a multitude of ways. It was the first place I could explore my queer identity, especially my transness, and be met with understanding. Where people really understood, ykno? Not even queerness, but just.. met me with understanding with how life can be sometimes.

Have people who were older than me treat me fairly as a kid, who gave great life advice, who didn't mind indulging me when I got hyper over my interests or characters I loved. It's probably ironic in some ass backwards way, but I don't think I'd be as mature as I am either, or, at least, know half the things I know now. I wouldn't be half the queermo I am today if it weren't for these funky little space aliens and the really cool and smart and creative people I met. It opened my eyes in a lot of ways. And I just... I dunno.

I might not be stuck in the house anymore but It's like driving down the road to look at my old childhood home once in a while just to sigh all wistfully a little before returning to the one I live at now :) ty karkat 4 being the guy of all time and sticking with me thru my formative years <3

I truly believe that there are no wrong ways of creating art; we should all be free to express ourselves and convey meaningful messages through mediums we see fit, unless our messages are harmful or disruptive in some way. However, it does not mean that I have to condone every creation I come across. For instance, there are things that I simply do not understand, such as this example of photo editing. There is nothing I have to explain, as this scene has never happened and is just another part of the collective fantasy that Victor and I are secretly in love. What nonsense!

On an unrelated note, this website has taught me more internet jargon than I would ever be willing to learn. Hopefully, one day I will be able to forget all of the horrifying grammar constructions and words that were created by the users of this platform.

I never thought I would say this, but always being first does not sound as good anymore. Does your statement imply there are other "ships"? Why had I been involved in something I had no clue existed? I am astonished.

i couldn't tell you what started it that was…a…[mumbled number of years] ago and like i barely remember what i have for breakfast most days.  what i can tell you is that one of my earliest memories of me writing things for shits and giggles was way back in the dark ages when a baby me and my best friend at the time had a notebook we'd pass to each other between classes where we'd write our self-insert fanfic (if that tells you how baby i was) for a fandom i shall not name.  i remember this notebook exactly, for what it's worth, it was a little almost a5 thing we picked up from the dollar tree and i wrote in it with a sparkly purple gel pen so you knew who was writing what.
