Daggerheart Character Build thoughts!
I am actually out at work and haven't checked the version that's since come out, but I did participate in the character build beta, and the NDA is officially lifted, so here's my thoughts from that! It's definitely limited since I just made a L1 character and didn't go through gameplay, though I surmise about some aspects of gameplay.
Overall, it clearly seems to be made by people who love a lot of things about D&D 5e but wanted both more flexibility and more simplicity, which is difficult. I think they succeed.
To that end, it takes away some of the crunchier aspects (precise positioning, exact amounts of gold) and I think for some people that will be a problem, and that's valid, but ultimately this game wants to both allow for interesting mechanics in and out of combat while also not being terribly math/map/resource management heavy. It is a hard line to walk; most systems either go hard crunch or go entirely gooey.
The dice mechanic (2d12, Hope and Fear system) is fantastic; look it up but I think it handles mixed successes more gracefully and interestingly than a lot of games.
The playtest was not super clear on armor and evasion choices (or indeed what evasion means; it seems to be sort of initiative but sort of dex save, or maybe more like the Pathfinder/old school D&D varying ACs by scenario?). It was much, MUCH clearer than D&D on weapon choices (part of why I play casters? Weapon rules in D&D are annoying and poorly explained and many people rightfully ignore them) so I'm hoping this becomes clear when there's a full guide rather than just the character creation info.
The character creation questions by class were fantastic and in general, and this is a theme, this feels like it guides people towards collaboration. FWIW I feel like D&D has that information, but the way it's presented is very much as flavor text rather than a thing you should be doing. Daggerheart makes this a much more core part of creation. The Experience mechanic is particularly clear: you better be working with your GM and really thinking about background, rather than slapping it on as a mechanic.
The other side of character creation questions is that it really encourages engagement with the class, which is something I've talked about. I think either subversion for the sake of subversion, or picking a class for the mechanics and aesthetic but not the fundamental concept, will be much harder to justify in Daggerheart, and I think that's a good thing because when people do that, their characters tend to be weaker.
The downtime is designed for you to write hurt/comfort fanfic about and this is a compliment. There are a number of mechanics that reward RP, particularly one of the healing mechanics under the Splendor track. I feel like a weakness of D&D is that when you try to reward RP it's really nebulous because there's not actually a ton of space to put that - you can give inspiration, but, for example, the empathy domain Matt homebrewed actually feels kind of off because it's based on such fuzzy concepts amid mechanics that are usually more rigid. Daggerheart comes off as much cleaner yet still RP-focused, and I'm excited to see it in action.
A judgement of Candela and I suppose Daggerheart might be that it's designed for actual play. I've mentioned before that I know people who are super into the crunch and combat and numbers of TTRPGs and are less story-oriented, and again, that's valid, but actual play is just storytelling using a ttrpg and so yes, a game that encourages RP while also having mechanics to support that and influence it is an extremely good goal. I am not an actual player, but I do like D&D games with a good plot and not just Go Kill Monsters, and I want to play this. (I also have some real salty thoughts about how if you modify an existing game for AP purposes that's staggering genius apparently, but if you make your own game how dare you but that's another post).
And now, the classes/subclasses. I am going to sort of use D&D language to describe them because that's a point of reference most people reading this will understand, but they are not one-to-one. A couple notes: everyone can use weapons and armor. HP is not totally clear to me but it seems to be threshold based - everyone has the same HP to start but people have different thresholds and armor, so the tank classes have the same amount of HP but are much harder to actually do damage to.
All classes are built on a combination of a subclass and two domains. There are 9 classes and 9 domains. This technically means that if you wanted to fuck around and homebrew you could make up to 36 classes (27 additional) by just grabbing two domains that weren't otherwise combined, which is fun to consider for the potential. Anyway I cover the classes and briefly describe domains within them. You can take any domain card within your domain, regardless of subclass.
There are six stats. Presence, Instinct, Knowledge, and Strength map roughly to Charisma, Wisdom, Intelligence, and Strength. Dex is split into Agility and Finesse; Agility covers gross motor skills (jumping, most ranged weapons, "maneuvering") and Finesse finer ones (lockpicking and tinkering, though also it does cover hiding). The really big wins are first, no CON score, so you don't need to sink stat points into something that grants no skills but keeps you alive. The second one is that the "hybrid" classes spellcast from their physical stat. This is fucking fantastic. The thing about ranger or paladin or the spellcasting subclasses of rogue and fighter in D&D is that if you don't roll pretty well you're locked into the core stats and CON and nothing else. (This also doesn't have rolling for stats: you assign +2 to one stat, presumably your main, and then distribute two +1s, two 0s, and one -1.)
Your HP, Evasion, and Thresholds are set by class, and there's a core ability; the rest is all from the cards you take for subclass and domain.
Leveling up is very much based on taking more domain cards (abilities) but has a certain degree of flexibility. It's by chunks: in leveling up anywhere levels 2-4, you can, for example, increase your proficiency by +1 once, so if you wanted to do that at level 2 but your fellow player wanted to wait until level 4 and take something else at level 2 instead, they could. It allows for more min-maxing, but also everyone has the same level up rules and differs only in the abilities on the cards, which is very cool.
Bard: Grace (enchantment spells) and Codex (learned spellcaster stuff; the spells available are definitely arcane in vibes) based, Presence is your main stat. The two subclasses map roughly to lore-style stuff and eloquence. Core class ability is sort of like inspiration but not entirely. It's a bard; I like bards a lot, and this is very similar vibes-wise to your D&D bards. If you like D&D bards you will like this.
Druid: Sage (nature spells) and Arcana (raw magical power spellcaster stuff), Instinct is your spellcasting/main stat. The two subclasses are elemental but frankly cooler than circle of the moon, and a more healing/tranquility of nature focused one. I really think Marisha probably gave feedback on this one, because the elemental version is really strong. You do get beastform; it is quite similar to a D&D druid under a different system, as the bard, but the beastform options are, frankly, better and easier to understand.
Guardian: Valor (melee tank/damager) and Blade (damage). Strength based for the most part (Valor mechanics assume strength) though you could go for like, +2 Agility +1 Strength to start. This is barbarian but like. 20 times better. It is, fundamentally, a tank class, and it is very good at it, with one even more tank-focused subclass and one that is more about retaliatory damage. You do have a damage-halving ability once per day, but really guardian's questions are incredible. I think Travis and Ashley likely gave feedback. Also rage doesn't render you incapable of concentration as that doesn't seem to be a thing, so multiclassing seems way more possible (you are, I think, only allowed to do one multiclass, and not until you reach level 5 minimum, which I am in favor of). Yes, you can be a Bardian.
Ranger: This is what I built! It is based on Sage and Bone (movement around the field/dodging stuff) and it is Agility-based, including for spellcasting, which is a MASSIVE help (as is, again, the fact that CON isn't a thing.) The subclasses are basically being really good at navigation, or animal companion. Most importantly to me you can be a ranger with a longsword and you are not penalized; Bone works with either ranged weapons or melee.
Rogue: Midnight (stealth/disguise/assassination spells and skills) and Grace-based. Yes, rogue is by default a spellcaster, which does help a LOT with the vibes for me. One subclass is basically about having lots of connections (as a spy or criminal might) and the other is about magical slinking about. Hiding/sneak attack are also streamlined. I will admit I'm still more interested in…almost everything else, but I think it evened out a lot of rogue weaknesses.
Seraph: Splendor (healing/divine magic) and Valor. This is your Paladin equivalent. It is strength-based for casting, again making hybrid classes way less stressful. Questions for this area also incredible; you do have something not unlike a lay on hands pool as well. Your subclasses are being able to fly and do extra damage; or being able to make your melee weapon do ranged attacks and also some extra healing stuff, the latter of which is my favorite. Yasha vibes from this, honestly. Single downside is this is the only class where they recommend you dump Knowledge. I will not, and I never will. Now that I don't have to make sure CON is high? I am for REAL never giving myself less than a +1 Knowledge in this game.
Sorcerer: Arcana (raw nature of magic/elemental vibes) and Midnight based. Yes, sorcerers and rogues now share a vibe, for your convenient….less enthused feelings. Instinct-based, which intrigues me, and the core features are in fact really good. The two subclasses are either one that focuses on metamagic abilities, or one that is elemental based. I would play this for a long-running game, though it's not my favorite, and I can't say that for D&D sorcerer (except divine soul).
Warrior: Blade and Bone, and the recommended build is Agility but you could do a strength build. Fighter! One subclass is about doing damage and one is about the hope/fear mechanics core to the game that I have NOT talked much about. I will admit, the hybrid martials and Guardian are more interesting to me but you do have good battle knowledge.
Wizard: Codex and Splendor. Wizards can heal in this system; farewell, I will be doing nothing else (jk). Knowledge-based, and you can either go hardcore expertise in knowledge, or be a battle wizard.
Other scattered thoughts: healing is not as big a deal here; there is no pure cleric class! There is also no monk, warlock, or artificer. There is not a way to do monk as a weaponless class really though you might be able to flavor the glowing rings as a monk weapon and play a warrior. Wizard, meanwhile, with the right experiences and high finesse, would allow for some artificer flavor. Cleric and Warlock are the two tough ones and I will admit those are tricky; I feel like you'd have to multiclass (which you cannot do until level 5) between perhaps seraph and a caster class and you're still going to come off very paladin.

book meme : A MONSTER CALLS by PATRICK NESS.
a selection of lines from the novel a monster calls. modified slightly for rp purposes.
what happened in the nightmare is something no one else ever needs to know.
don't be stupid. you're too old for monsters.
shout all you want. i've seen worse.
you really aren't afraid, are you?
i'm sorry i wasn't up.
was that you i heard last night?
i thought i was dreaming but i could have sworn i heard your voice.
there's the smile i love.
i wish you didn't have to be quite so good.
don't think you haven't lived long enough to have a story to tell.
why did you butt in when it was none of your business?
i'm kind of used to it by now.
open up. i want to talk to you.
it is not what i want from you. it is what you want from me.
i am everything untamed and untameable.
i am this wild earth, come for you.
stories are the wildest things of all. stories chase and bite and hunt.
you know that your truth, the one that you hide, is the thing you are most afraid of.
we need to talk about what's going to happen.
nothing i do seems to make you frightened of me.
you thought i might have come to topple your enemies. slay your dragons.
you would not say that if you heard the screams of a man killed by a spear. or his cries of terror as he was torn to pieces by wolves.
i know injustice when i see it.
sometimes people need to lie to themselves most of all.
how long are you here for?
i'll come back, though.
i'm fine on my own.
you would give up everything you believed in?
that's quite a mess you made.
i know i must look a fright.
this is a talk, isn't it? everybody always wants to have a talk lately.
stories don't always have happy endings.
you still do not know why you called me, do you?
stories are important. they can be more important than anything. if they carry the truth.
i no longer see you.
there once was an invisible man who had grown tired of being unseen.
it was not that he was actually invisible. it was that people had become used to not seeing him.
if no one sees you, are you really there at all?
i will make them see me.
you think i'm ever going to be afraid of you?
what secrets do you hide that are so terrible?
there are harder things than being invisible.
i've never been more sorry about anything in my life.
i think, deep in your heart, you've always known. haven't you?
it's okay that you're angry.
i'm pretty angry myself.
i know everything you needed to tell me without you having to say it out loud.
i wish i had a hundred years. a hundred years i could give to you.
i did not come to heal them. i came to heal you.
it will kill you if you do not. you must say it.
a part of you wished it would just end. even if it meant losing them.
you were merely wishing for the end of pain. your own pain.
it is the most human wish of all.
you do not write your life with words. you write it with actions.

Complete crack but Mage got me into it, 5996.
[My KHR ship game] ||Accepting|| @whiskeysmulti Reminder: This is me just talking in general, so in no way is RP portrayals or anything being considered her. All Neo in her head. Characterizations are based off what I think would be interesting set up for the ship.

Phew… well… I mean… you and I talk about a lot of stuff so you already know my stance on how I think Mukuro and Chrome are just a unit. A duo, are supposed to be together. So anything that breaks them up is kinda SQUINT to me. Still, the dynamic of 5996 sounds fun to me, lolol so I mean… yeah… I suppose I could ship it lololol. (So much for they are a duo, and they are supposed to be for each other amirite?)
We’ve seen the way that both Gokudera and Chrome have developed as characters throughout the series. He certainly becomes a bit more patient (in regards to the violence) and he is able to open up to more people. He can accept more people into his life and be ready to do what he can for them. He’s a very loyal kind of character who inwardly feels a lot of things, complex emotions but may not be very aware of what the complex emotions mean.
Emotional intelligence a lil slow with him. Chrome has more emotional intelligence I’d say but it is also a bit… flawed in a sense? I think in due time it will heal and be better because it does seem that she’s a bit more wary about people, especially if they extend goodness towards her. Likely due to her experiences in her ‘past life’ meaning her life as Nagi.
The ways in which I think that they can work well together largely stems from the fact of their pasts. Both have some hurtful history when it comes to parents. Gokudera feels his father had his mother killed and he lost his mother on the day of his birthday. Chrome… as we know… was basically being abandoned by her parents if you really think about it. How the mother refused to ‘cut herself for the sake of that child’. Both have the pains of their parents, and this is pretty different from a whole lot of the Vongola crew. Tsuna has a wonderful mother who loves him (yes I’m ignoring Iemitsu, but we know he cares too). Haru has a doting father canonically. We can assume she has a loving mother as well. Yamamoto has a good dad, no idea on mother. The Sasagawas surely have a good relationship with their parents. Lambo basically has Nana now.
These two have pains from their pasts with parents that could possibly let them feel a bit out of place when with the others. It is a bit different when you talk to people who had such a vastly different upbringing than you did from what I personally noticed. Sometimes it can make you feel out of place and it could feel harder to relate. They both may be able to feel more in tune with each other in such circumstances. Like if they ever take a step back because they don’t really know how to act in situations of say… parent teacher conferences, or the days where parents can come in to watch how their children are at school. Both of them may feel out of place there even though Gokudera has Bianchi. I’m not sure if Chrome would have someone stand in. Maybe someone from Kokuyo--?
Anyways I think they could bond in such situations because they get it. They understand how it is. Chrome is a polite girl, reserved, and isn’t too nosey. Her personality isn’t too strong. It does work kind of nicely in the sense that they wouldn’t really have issues of altercations and fights because of having two strong personalities. What I do think is nice is that because of their differences in personalities and vibes, that they could rub off on one another. Gokudera can learn to be more calm and patient. Learn a bit more of her passive kind of attitude, and she can learn how to be more assertive. To be more dominant, and to be more defensive when it comes to herself. Don’t just take whatever nonsense people say to you (looking at you MM).
They could be a good influence on each other. I can see as the right hand, Gokudera would want to look out for all the guardians, and with his general distrust in Mukuro, he would look after her. If he for any reason thinks that Chrome isn’t being treated well, he’d watch out for her. He is a bit awkward about things but he’s also pretty logical and efficient. I could see him dropping hints to the girls so they could check up on Chrome if he worried. If the situation was something that he thought he could deal with, he would step in himself, but more the more emotional affairs, he’d leave that to the girls. He’s considerate in that logical way.
The main source of contention, I suppose, would be Mukuro. He and Chrome are a unit and she does ally herself to him. The biggest character development for her is wanting to stand on her own and be able to stand side by side with Mukuro. To be a warrior alongside him. With that kind of a set up, it is a bit more difficult to have the room to accept someone else into that equation, especially someone who doesn’t quite trust the person you’ve tied yourself to. Makes it a bit more complex.
However, we do know that Gokudera is a pretty stubborn guy, so it is possible that he was worried about Chrome and as the right hand, made it a point to check in on her often. This results in him spending more time with them and he gets to understand Mukuro better and maybe come to terms with the idea that he can sorta trust the guy, and be more or less okay with him due to Chrome’s positive influence of her wanting for everyone to get along. I see her trying her best so that both sides can come together and accept each other. Help Gokudera see that Mukuro isn’t so bad, if you take his entirety into account.
One day that it may work is that though they are a unit and they work great together, Mukuro doesn’t see Chrome as anything past a sister or another extension of himself. IF he were to regard Chrome as such, then I could see there being room for Chrome and Gokudera being able to be a couple, since then it opens her up to seeing people so as long as Mukuro gives the okay. He would care for having someone who can protect Chrome and be there to take care of her. Someone who would be able to understand her pains and be patient enough to work with her through them.
Gokudera has a very protective aspect to his personality so he could protect her fine. He isn’t one to see anyone as lesser because they aren’t skilled, are sickly, are less charismatic, etc. He sees people for who they are and that’s it. That is a great quality to have for a person who may struggle to see their own worth as themselves. It is good for someone who has insecurity issues. It’s good for someone who may doubt themselves, etc. I’d suppose a good way to look at it is that Gokudera doesn’t have expectations for people, he just looks at them for what they are. It’s a lot harder to do than most would think.
You may look at someone and have expectations without realizing it. Like you may think that they may do such and such for you, or that you may want to enjoy writing out certain scenarios with someone and that you hope that they’d be excited about it just as much as you are. You may hope that they’ll like the same ships that you do for example. People just have expectations and hopes for people. Gokudera doesn’t really do that and he looks at people for who they are and what they’ve shown themselves to be.
Tsuna is a bit of a curve ball because Gokudera does seem to have expectations for him based off how he acts, but it’s really based off the feats that Tsuna has done when in dying will mode. He knows and has seen Tsuna do great things. A lot of what he says and boasts Tsuna for aren’t exactly incorrect because Dying will mode Tsuna IS a part of who he is. So yeah, Gokudera is one who sees people for who they are. So he won’t get disappointed or anything if they turn out differently than he thought or came off as weak.
He's a great source of support in that way because you can count on him to just like you for you. He observes and gets to know who people are based on their actions.
His temper sure is a thing, but I think Mukuro could forgive that lol. I think if it came to that kind of a situation, Mukuro would be okay with entrusting Chrome with him when Mukuro wasn’t around to watch over her. I think it’s a good dynamic of two people who could become comfortable with each other, console in each other about their experiences and both try to go down a path of healing. Just journey on the path of healing together and support the other when possible. It’s kinda sweet.
I suppose for some cute ideas/scenarios… hm… like Gokudera letting it go if someone is talking shit about him because it’s not worth his time and energy and Chrome going nope, I’m going to talk to them. Asserting herself because she doesn’t want anyone talking badly about him and she’s not backing down from it. Like lil Chrome putting her foot down to really assert herself for his sake. I feel like that would be a oh, this feels nice, to have someone care this much for me and it comes from someone who normally has a bit more of a passive side. Ahhhh… yes… good food.
AS THE CERTIFIED MUKURO DISDAINER THAT I AM- jk, but imagine a spat between Gokudera and Mukuro and Chrome actually takes Gokudera’s side for once. Mukuro feeling like a brother who got betrayed by his sis, and Gokudera feeling like oh- OH! She took my side, in your FACE, Mukuro! But there’s always that side too where he feels touched that she was willing to take his side against Mukuro because she does value his opinion and his stance on things. It isn’t just her devoted loyalty to Mukuro that makes up who she is. There’s more to her than that. I just find it simple but cute. Mhm mhm. I like small things like that. Sue me.
I… like the idea that Uri is very hissy towards most people and other animals, but she starts to notice that Chrome starts having more of Gokudera’s scent because they spend a lot of time together and so she curiously just walks right up to the girl to sniff her and then gets taken in by her calm and sweet aura. We know Chrome likes cats so it’s like oho, I like this one! She’s very nice! Just curl up to Chrome and hiss at Gokudera. Just rub up against Chrome a lot. If the owl comes around, sucks to SUCK! YOU GO AWAY! You can have Gokudera (for now). So you have Uri just bonding with Chrome and Gokudera and Fukurou having no other choice but to bond together over them losing to Uri. (ehehehehe) Then they just get used to that too and the day Uri notices why is that owl and my master getting along well? He has treats for it too? NOT ON MY PAW!!!! THAT’S MY SPOT! Kekek. Willful Uri. BEST

I did my best. Again, this is in no way associated to RP and what portrayals I see on dash. This is just a thought exercise based off how I think things could work.

The (Re)Adventures of Marzel Amell
Sooooooo ok I ended up binge playing DA:O for the last two weeks. And it might as well have been a blind playthrough because I forgot almost everything ^_^;; Below are Carrinth's Random Observations or Things That Have Happened to Marzel (Redux):
DA armor is still ugly as sin. I'm sorry. Robes 4 lyfe.
Man I tell you, a single Heal spell makes ALL the difference. Especially early on when you don't have money or potions or skillz. Dying less apparently makes game moar fun! SHOCKING.
I have recruited Sten.
I have also recruited Shale for the first time. I love Shale. Shale is best rock. Squish me. (Not really pls don't Shale) DLC ftw!
Sten really, really, REALLY likes my warden this time wtf. His affection is the HIGHEST of everyone, second only to dog. I have no idea how that happened. O_O I just RP-ed Marzel as being very indifferent to Sten. "I'm not here to impress you, bruh." Sten is a tsundere confirmed.
I did the FADE quest. Again. I told myself it wasn't as bad this round and that I'm fine but obviously I'm not fine but you just have to hold it in and my bags are full of junk and I need to sell them bcos I needs the money but I can't leave pls pls let me out LET ME OUT!2111
Wynne talking about what makes an abomination made me have Anders/Justice feels. "If one retains one's humanity, one is not an abomination." 😥
Still bff with Jowan. We bros for life. Alistair didn't like that.
"Teagan! Who iZ dis mAN?" Idk but the second round I really enjoyed her voice-acting. She's a distraught mother close to hysterics. It's amazingly hilarious and compelling! <3
Wait. Wait. I totally forgot about Connor. So wait. We CAN CURE demonic possession??? I thought it was permanent?! No way of saving but death via a pokey sword yadda yadda?? Omg is this one of those 'we could cure you but it's too expensive and you can't afford it' scenarios? IT IS. Poor farmer's kid can't afford a pile of lyrium but if you're the son of an arl? No problem! Whole Circle bending over just to help you. Wow. Goddamn. Chantry/Circle seriously just kill mages because it's the cheaper alternative! >:O
MMmmmm. People say I should save Orzammar for last because it is harder. But. Oghren. But. Difficult. But OGHREN. But BROODMOTHER. DO YOU NOT REMEMBER THE SUFFERING OF DEEP ROADS?! .......... OGHREN. Marzel and friends died a lot. Mostly because I stubbornly wanted my party to consist of Oghren and Shale. That's like, two warriors ugh. We got by. Shale extra conversations were worth it ;)
Got Flemeth's grimoire for Morrigan. Formed a team made only of dude-bros to help Marzel get laid. Which meant they had to make do without any healing or bard song. I named them... the Snu Snu Squad (affectionate). Zevran died almost immediately. (Note: Dragon bum be dangerous position) Marzel stupidly killed his own self with blood magic while throwing his single Heal spell >_> MVP goes to Alistair for keeping alive long enough to whittle away Flemeth's health and died just exact moment Sten landed a killing blow. Grimoire was given and snu snu was had!
Marzel is in weird love triangle where all romancable persons love him. This cannot end well.
Why are there so many Desire demons? Holy crap, with the DLCs I have encountered no less than 4. Were there always this many?? Are Fereldans so horny?
People who challenge MAGES to duels deserve to die... from stupidity. I don't make the rules. You sir, have a pointy stick. Marzel can conjure blizzards and crushing barriers with his fingertips. We are not the same.
MANA CLASH IS OP.
Ok I just read codex that those Wild Sylvan trees are possessed by Rage demons?? Omg. They are Angry Trees. Low-key wanna see Justice fight Angry Trees while yelling about demons.
Haha I missed this game. Now onward to Sacred Ashes and moar stuff I can't remember!

HELLO, I'm going to try and be the chance I want to see in the world, hahaha. So TELL ME PLEASE, who is your favourite swtor OC? And how do you relate them to the story of the game; is it canon for them, do you write/imagine/rp stories for them adjacent to the game or totally divorced from it...?
eeeey thank you for the ask! sorry it's taken me so long to get to it, my brain has not been cooperative on any front this week
I have several I'm very attached to but I'd have to say my favorite is my Imp Agent, Khatte Antilles (pronounced "cat." he's a cathar. I originally made him as a joke character before he developed a personality/backstory and now I just have to live with my choices.)
Tumblr media
the fact that I had to go back four years in my art folders to find an image of him suitable for all audiences really tells you all you need to know already tbh
Overall he lines up pretty strongly with the canon basegame Agent story, it was kinda one of those "if it ain't broke don't fix it" situations because I do love the Agent storyline a lot. The headcanons kick in more in the DLC/Alliance zone and in his backstory, and I definitely fiddled with the timeline of things because he was very young for his first mission on Hutta (definitely no older than 20, probably closer to 17/18, he lied about his age and joined ImpInt at 13 claiming he was 16 so that makes everything more complicated. he only got away with it because the people doing his paperwork were all human and Imperial and had no idea what a 16 year old cathar would actually look like), but he's in his mid 20s for most of the basegame questline and in his early 30s by the Zakuul era. Basically it all works out that there are some unaccounted for years between Hutta and the rest of act one, and some very accounted for years during the Carbonite Timeskip because he's not the canon Commander and being incorrectly frozen in carbonite is one of the few medical horrors that hasn't happened to him. He spent that time having a mental breakdown because he believed that the only person he still trusted in the galaxy had been killed by the Empire, and channeled his feelings about that into wiping out every trace of the Castellan Restraints and their development, including the people who worked on the project. It was all very dramatic and probably would have also have included himself if Lana Beniko hadn't tracked him down before the Empire did and dragged him back to the Alliance to help organize and lead their Intelligence division, which wasn't fun for anybody but did ultimately lead to him getting therapy and starting to heal from the clusterfuck that was his career.
I also expanded on his relationship with a few NPCs quite a bit, he's got a History with Darth Jadus and met him not long after joining ImpInt, because Jadus saw someone that young and vulnerable as a perfect opportunity to mold himself a loyal (or at least scared into submission) man on the inside and eventual personal Hand. it did not work out for him; Khatte was both more willful and more loyal to Keeper than he bargained for, and by the events of the game he absolutely loathed Jadus and also knew him well enough to handily unravel the rest of his plan. he clashed even harder with Zhorrid once she "inherited" him because unlike Jadus he held no fear or respect toward her and no amount of getting barbecued by Force lightning at every meeting would change his mind. This has all lead to him having a distinctly unfavorable view toward Sith, which he voices probably more often than is advisable for one's continued health and safety in the Empire.
he also had an extremely toxic and mutually abusive situationship with Hunter throughout the latter two acts that he's still unpacking the baggage from to this day, and still has a much healthier slow burn romance with Vector (let him kiss the bug man EA I am begging you it's 2024).
But yeah, Alliance era he's honestly thriving as much as could be expected for someone with his history, I've got him in a whole multiverse situation with some friends' ocs where he's free to be a horny disaster in a much safer and healthier way than he used to be.

Hey! Thanks for peeking in on my Dragalia Lost RP Blog! Chances are, you have no idea who my character is or what Dragalia Lost Is about, and my pages aren’t helping. That’s okay! I’m under no delusion that Dragalia Lost took off any harder than it tragically actually did, nor do I think my actual about page as it is - or even as it probably will be - actually suffices.
Instead of making you wait for a long About page you probably won’t have the time to read anyways (meant with no disrespect! We’re all busy people), have the significant bullet points of the character I’m writing.
Zena is the youngest (twin) member of the royal family of a country known as New Alberia. Her role is acting as the Auspex - the mana-gifted princess that acts to keep the world and its mana purified and protected. At least, for as long as she could hold such a peaceful position in peaceful times…
To disrespect a great game by simplifying the plot, Zena is a deeply traumatized character whose backstory consists of being possessed by a great evil and harming/killing her family and the people of her family’s kingdom that she truly loves and adores; losing her beloved brother to said possession and living in her world after, a world that now feared and resented her; traveling across alternate realities to find a world that can actually win, so she can save her own world, only to witness the tragic devastation of so many others; ultimately saving her world, only to witness its end very shortly after; and ultimately being left to save what’s left of a reality that isn’t her’s.
Unlike canon, where everything is restored with a neat little bow and some Convenient Amnesia after, Zena restores possibility to reality and grants the multiverse new life with the help of allies; here, she brings back the successful reality back, but as a new origin point, rather than restoring everything, leaving her without a world of her own. She holds everything; the loss, the trauma, the guilt, and the hope; with her from there on.
For crossover’s sake, she has also been dimensionally displaced after all’s said and done, as a result of her being left only in a world that already HAS its version of her. With no place in the world she helped save, she can only wait for a world that will take her.
My goal with writing Zena is to put a focus on her moving forward separate from her trauma, with only herself clinging to the pain she’s felt. She has to say goodbye to a lot to face tomorrow, and what I want most is for her to form new bonds she can never give away, that can grant her a new life after all she lost, even if she’s starting from nothing.
My central focus, given I’m writing a rather niche character, IS to be crossover friendly, and in fact crossover-reliant. Zena is a Lost presence from an ended world with nowhere to go but where fate has brought her. The crux of many of her interactions will be finding a place for herself wherever she’s found herself. Note that I can, in fact, stick with Dragalia characters and keep her in her world, but a lack of Dragalia blogs makes this hard to rely on.
Though traumatized and rather lonely, Zena is a loving, hopeful and gentle soul, and predominately a healer. While she wields offensive capabilities with light and dark magic she can use to protect what she loves, she would rather use her power to heal than destroy. She is very friendly and while somewhat embittered by everything she’s gone through, she’ll express nothing but kindness unless given a reason not to. Through and through, in spite of everything, she’s the same auspex she once was… just with a much heavier weight to bear, and memories of a world that was now her’s alone.

I am back on my FFXIV/LU bullshit. Let's go!!!!!!
Zelda's:
Sun: white mage: no. Glare mage: Yes! Sun does the bare minimum amount of healing so she can kill the monsters faster. This terrifies Sky when he tanks for her, thank Hylia he plays warrior and can just heal himself. Second option: Dragoon, she really likes being able to divebomb her enemies. He likes playing bard with her dragoon. It makes him smile when he can watch her damage increase because of him. They are smitten and everyone can tell.
Dot: *confused Pikachu face* I honestly don't know.... Maybe Pictomancy to have her mirror four as a creator. Let me be honest here Four and Dot get on to craft with each other. Now Four and Shadow get on to destroy every boss they can find (or in Vio and shadow's case rp being the bad guys).
Lullaby: Ninja, no contest. She has that job down so well that no bunnies are ever seen. She also uses her sneak ability outside of combat like a weirdo. Time gets frustrated that he can't complete his rotation before the mobs are destroyed because of her. She is living the high life of being the best at the game.
Tetra: Machinist. She embodies Joye's love of fire arms and skill in it from the Machinist story quests. Her and wind are constantly moving around the boss.
Dusk: Black Mage. Big damage, small HP. Keeps getting hit by the bosses because she refuses to move. Has her rotation so perfected that the healers sigh and let it happen. Twi almost debates healing just so that they can complete their roulettes. (Midna plays summoner and when it's the three of them together she refuses to move as well just to mess with Twi.)
Fable: *shrug* Dancer, has all of the diplomacy of a dancer while being able to do a little bit of everything. Attack, heal, shield, and buff. Her and Legend don't often play together unless it's an 8 man. He can be dance partnered when he picks a higher dps class she says jokingly. Legend refuses to play anything but Red mage with her now just to mess with her back.
Spirit Tracks Zelda: Black Knight, I wanna give her a big sword and a phantasm to help her fight.... ST Zelda is trying to get ST Link into the game. It is slow going as he is only interested in the mounts. (This is a nod to my best friend's play style.) He starts as a gladiator cause he wants a sword and shield.
Dawn: *Shrug* Blue mage, because I don't know what to give her but maybe she should have the ability to do anything and everything? Her, Hyrule, wild and others party up to do stuff as a Blue mage party.
Aurora: Astrologian, so many time based attacks. She has enough patience from sleeping so long to handle waiting till her spells reach maximum potency to use. Aurora sometimes plays with Hyrule and Dawn but only when they're not playing Blue mage.
Artemis: Red mage, she deserves a rapier. Nough said. She tries to stay far enough from Warrior's that his use of cover can't work on her... He always manages to get her no matter what she tries.
Flora: Summoner, using geometry to create constructs to fight for her? Absolutely a flora thing while allowing her to thrive as an academic. Or Sage, the healer class built around technology. Flora and Wild cause chaos as a Blue mage and summoner but work amazingly as a team when paired as a gunbreaker/sage duo. They use Gunbreaker/Sage when doing Ultimates.
I told ya the Zelda's would be here. This was so much harder than the links. If anyone has better ideas for Dawn, Fable, and Dot; please do tell!
Ya'll wanna see companions like Midna and Ravio? Might do that next.
Me just over here wondering to myself I wonder what would happen if my lalafell warrior of light met the links from Linked universe....
Chaos insued:
First thought on my mind is size. My "this is the tallest I can make for his race" lalafell is probably four size. I can only wonder at them seeing someone older than four who is still four's size. It would really put into perspective his shortness.
Second thought: If my wol dance partnered four and then four used the four sword to split, what would happen? I've determined that that 2 minute buff window would become more like an 8 minute buff window. But also what if the dance partner attribute almost keeps four from splitting as if the ability doesn't want to have more than one user and will keep you from that to the best of it's ability.
Third thought: Time and legend looking at the dark Knight lore as if the dark Knight power source makes the most sense and in some way they want it.
Fourth thought: Everyone freaks out when Scholar!wol summons Eos or Selene. You cannot tell me that all of them wouldn't be somewhat concerned by a fairy appearing out of nowhere from someone not of their world. They then become very concerned when it's revealed where we place our fairies in battle. (Death comes to any who place a fairy under the boss while with the chain)
Fifth thought: Hyrule and a wol vibing together from having friends who were "sleeping" for hundreds of years.
Sixth thought: wild and the wol vibing over exploring new places.
Seventh thought: I wonder what would happen if you just let the chain fuck around with your soul crystals(changes your job in FFXIV).
Addendum kinda wanna give fun and interesting classes to them all. This is less about their abilities and more about the chain having fun.
Legend- Red mage: legend should absolutely be given the right to both sword and magic. He would also look perfect in the red mage's armor.
On the other hand a black mage who refuses to use thunder is hilarious. Everyone else in a dungeon gets pissed off legend won't use his dot.
Hyrule: Blue mage- Chaos time! Let Hyrule both heal and cause massive damage. Also, why wouldn't I give him the job that requires you to learn spells from monsters. It's probably where he learned most of his skills from.
Twilight: monk- kinda boring but his fists are rated teen for violence. Beast master: we don't have this job yet but it is coming so that could be my second option. Would friend every animal and then be confused when they have violence in their eyes when anything tries to attack him.
Time: Dark knight: this man would absolutely use his trauma to become better at saving people. Am I wrong????
Warriors: Paladin- but let's make it fun and make him self sacrifice by having him always use cover (takes 100% of damage from a chosen party member) on his party members...even when they are already using their own shields.
Sky: Warrior- I never wanna see this man pissed off. On a more vibe aspect: Bard- just let him play his harp till the enemies stop coming.
Wind: Ninja- shut up, I know he's pirate themed and I should give him a gun but who else but wind could have a bunny of "you missed up your mudras" and make that look cool. Plus I wanna let him go fast.( Ninja's have the highest speed.)
Wild: Blue mage: Again, the monsters taught him how to fight after waking up again. Second option: Gunbreaker- fusing. Enough said. (Gunbreaker also has the highest damage ceiling of all tanks. Of course I'm giving one of the best dpsing tanks to the link who takes on lynels for fun.)
Four: machinist- no one else fits the machinist's goal of creating new and better weaponry than four. All of the different mechanisms you use to fight as a machinist just fit fours need to build and create.
Addendum for colors:
Green: viper- wanted to give him a sword plus it looks fairly swooshy from the trailer (secondary option dragoon: let my second wimdy boi fly with those jumps)
Red: black mage- fire only. Everyone keeps telling him to use ice but he refuses especially when playing with blue. Second option: Pictomancy! - let red draw his way to victory.
Blue: Warrior- he deserves to have a big axe and this way he can use his anger to help bolster his damage.
Vio: Bard- but not your stereotypical bard no, Vio is singing or reciting old takes of wars and myths. He'll use all the darkest old tales to win a fight.
(Shadow[I just wanna give him a pretty weapon.]: Dark knight: emotionally he fits it very well but Reaper: a play style that has the coolest movement ability and lots of cool effects. He likes acting like he's actually death coming for people.
Kinda wanna do all the Zelda's......)
Either thought: if the chain played FFXIV what would happen? Legend would get every class as soon as he could and then level them all to Max first. He's also on the grind to get every single achievement. May his soul rest in peace.
Sky would spend so much time crafting. Main quest? No. Side quest? No. Carpentry class quest? Yes. (He also is one of those players who stands in one of the city states and plays music for others.)
Time and twilight have their fishing class at mat lvl and regularly do ocean fishing to relax.
Wild does ultimates for fun. He also has the best glams (don't tell wars) out of the chain.
Hyrule has all of the sight seeing locations done for every expansion. He likes to go and get lost in the new locations of every expansion. It takes him at least a week longer than everyone else to finish the main content due to this.
Four: most recent crafting recipes and island sanctuary (he's here to make cool shit and relax) I could see him also enjoying the tribal quests as well.
Warrior: the most mentor to mentor out of all mentors. He does the mentor roulette for fun the poor bastard.
Wind: rps with his friends. They have a rp going on in Limsa about a land flooded by the gods.
(I think that's all of my FFXIV x Linked universe hyperfixation, for now at least. CX

It's harder to heal than it is to kill.
A good part of the most important things that had happened to Newt throughout his life had happened without him really intending to. He’d been expelled from Hogwarts when Leta had unleashed his first hippogriff on a group of students because they’d mocked her; he’d found Frank the Thunderstorm because Albus Dumbledore had told him where to find him; he’d found Credence, the Obscurial, when he’d just meant to release said Thunderstorm.
All in all, he most often happened to endure his life rather than give it any willing direction.
Which meant it shouldn’t be a surprise, really, when, during one of his searches through the huge forests of Taiwan looking for a Dai - an owl with three eyes and three ears, that Taiwanese muggles liked to kill and eat to keep them from drowning, according to their legends -, he stumbled on a frozen body with a very familiar face.
He’d heard about the Dai from one of his acquaintances who’d visited Taiwan not so long ago, and he’d told him that the species was endangered, because of Chinese legends that had been incorporated to the Taiwanese folklore when the Chinese colonised it in the 17th Century. People still hunted it down for its flesh, believing that it kept the sailors safe and prevented them to drown; and for an island that mostly survived through fishing, the safety of its sailors was absolutely primordial.
So Newt hadn’t thought. As soon as he’d received the letter, he’d packed his stuff, grabbed his suitcase, and left for Taiwan, and this despite the fact that he’d been forbidden to travel.
He’d already been there for a week, spending his days and nights in the wild forests of Taiwan to find the owl, when he emerged into a clearing and almost immediately stumbled onto something cold and hard.
Looking down, he was only mildly surprised to realise that what he’d stumbled upon wasn’t a tree branch like he’d expected, but the rigid, cold body of one Percival Graves.
The face was exactly like he’d remembered it when Grindelwald had impersonated him, except the hair was longer, and he wore an unkept beard - And judging by how skinny he was, and the condition of his clothes (torn and dirty), he’d been kept prisoner for a while before Grindelwald sent him there.
He knelt down, and tried everything he could to awake the man - To no avail. He was unconscious, and not even close to waking up. But at least he was alive - he was breathing and despite how cold his body was, his heart beat a steady rhythm under Newt’s fingers.
So Newt did the only thing that came to his mind. He levitated him to the shack inside his suitcase, laid him on the bed there, and he spent the next couple of weeks trying to wake him up. He managed to feed him soup, to keep him hydrated, but even his trips to the closest villages, even his many, many talks with the healers there and the many, many books he’d read didn’t help him to find what was wrong with the Director.
He was starting to get a fair bit desperate, to be honest, but he didn’t dare moving him back to the United States, and he knew that putting him in a hospital wouldn’t help him.
Instead, that night, he chose to sit down on a chair next to him, reading aloud a book he’d found about the magical creatures here in Asia, in the hope that at least his voice could reach to him.

“For this I would be damned forever. For this I would have given up everything.”
"I have that effect on women,"
“He’s very broken, like a lovely vase that someone has smashed. Only luck and skill can put it back together the way it was before.”
"Wherever we are, we are as one.”
That for my father, there was only ever one woman he loved, and it was her for him, or nothing. You are that for me. I love you, and I will only ever love you until I die —”
We are bound, you and I, over the divide of death, down through whatever generations may come. Forever.”
“Has no one respect for the classics these days?”

“If no one cares for you at all, do you even really exist?”
“You endure what is unbearable, and you bear it. That is all.”
You are not the last dream of my soul. You are the first dream, the only dream I ever was unable to stop myself from dreaming. You are the first dream of my soul, and from that dream I hope will come all other dreams, a lifetime’s worth.”
“I'm afraid to answer that. I've heard that when I speak, it makes American women wish to strike me with umbrellas.”
“since you say there will be another life for me, let us both pray I do not make as colossal a mess of it as I have this one.”
“Our souls are knit. We are one person,”
“Those of you who are mortal, you burn so fiercely. And you fiercer than most. I will not ever forget you.”
“I've never minded it,Being lost, that is. I had always thought one could not truly be lost if one knew one's own heart. But I fear I may be lost without knowing yours.”
“What he needs now is to love and have that love returned.”
"I can offer you my life, but it is a short life; I can offer you my heart, though I have no idea how many more beats it shall sustain. But I love you enough to hope that you wil not care that I am being selfish in trying to make the rest of my life - whatever length - happy, by spending it with you. I want to be married to you. I want it more than I have ever wanted anything else in my life."
“that heroes all come to bad ends, and he could not imagine why anyone would want to be one, anyway.”
“Dear God, woman. Are there any questions you don't want to know the answer to?”
“Whoever loves you now—and you must also love yourself—will love the truth of you.”
“There was something peculiarly gratifying about shouting in a blind rage until your words ran out.”
“I could not tell you if I loved you the first moment I saw you, or if it was the second or third or fourth. But I remember the first moment I looked at you walking toward me and realized that somehow the rest of the world seemed to vanish when I was with you.”
“Every meeting led to a parting, and so it would, as long as life was mortal. In every meeting there was some of the sorrow of parting, but in everything parting there was some of the joy of meeting as well.”
“And now I need you to do for me what I cannot do for myself. For you to be my eyes when I do not have them. For you to be my hands when I cannot use my own. For you to be my heart when mine is done beating.”
“Never trust a duck.”
"How rude. Many who have gazed upon me have compared the experience to gazing at the radiance of the sun."
“Must you go? I was rather hoping you'd stay and be a ministering angel, but if you must go, you must."
“Lies and secrets, they are like a cancer in the soul. They eat away what is good and leave only destruction behind.”
"Can you make things that don't have potatoes in them? We had an Irish cook once when I was a boy. Potato pie, potato custard, potatoes with potato sauce...”
T’aint my way to turn down payment, but any man who looks like you has got no need of love potions, and that’s a fact.”
“Look at him. The face of a bad angel and eyes like the night sky in Hell. He's very pretty, and vampires like that. I can't say I mind either.”

Figure I should condense a lot of Repo Rick's info on this blog since I don't expect people to follow his rp blog just to learn about him.
(TW: drugs, alcohol, torture, death)
Retrieval Units are Ricks and Mortys that committed some crime against the Citadel in one way or another, and rather than killed outright or sent to some unimaginable torture device, their memories are wiped, their genius is severed and they are transformed into servants of the Council. Retrieval Units (or REPOs) are intellectually castrated Ricks and emotionally detached Mortys who are fully aware that they are supposed to be different than what they are now. For example, the Ricks know they’re supposed to be super geniuses, but when they look at complex equations, they cannot put anything together, turning to significantly higher percentages of alcohol and drugs to numb their frustrations and mental impotence. Repo Mortys are more apathetic than regular Mortys, finding it harder to become excited about strange and new things–this isn’t just because of their brains being fucked with, but because the Council has had the REPO units beaten and tortured until they are compliant. Because even if you can take away a Rick’s intellect, you also have to break his spirit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite turning to something to numb their pain, those highs are short lived. Cloning facilities were taking way too many resources, and so they were cut for the Retrieval Units. Instead, all Retrieval Units are injected with an Immortality Serum that makes them, effectively, unable to die. They will heal from every single injury, no matter how fatal. If a Repo Unit is blown to smithereens, those smithereens will regrow, bit by bit, until a singular entity is completely full again, in horrific, screaming agony. Every second is felt, and it is painful. They will always grow back, no matter what.
The collar around their necks are meant to track their location, but also have a more sinister use. Instead of just blowing them up because if their immortality, the collars have an atomized black hole located within them–removing the collar without the proper protocols will cause the one it’s assigned to to crush into themselves, becoming a black hole singularity completely contained to themselves, until they are retrieved by the Citadel (usually in a small marble of agony.) And they feel all of it. C-137 has gotten Repo quite a few times with that number. Repo Units don’t get numbers, they don’t have universes anymore. They’re seen as lower than dogs, they are looked down on by every Rick out there. They represent what no Rick should ever be–subservient and stupid.
Repo as he’s nicknamed since he doesn’t have any other descriptors (other than ponytail) doesn’t have a Morty anymore. Rattail, his Morty, died. When they were supposed to be injected with the immortality serum and sent through trials to prepare them for actual missions, Rattail somehow missed his injections. Whether it was due to a fear of needles and craftiness, or Repo’s personal training officer having some fun at Repo’s expense by giving Rattail a placebo, no one can really say. Certainly not Repo, as he stood at the end of a corridor, staring in abject horror as his assigned Morty–Rattail–lay impaled and smushed between two spiked platforms–one that came from the floor, the other from the ceiling. Repo pulled Rattail’s wreckage of a body from the trap, waiting for him to regenerate, ready to hold his assigned grandson as the kid would undoubtedly shriek as his body regrew–but it never happened. His Morty was dead, forever. There was no cloning allowed for Retrieval Units.
Tumblr media
Repo would gather some of Rattail’s corpse into a small vial, keeping it on his person at all times–hope that he could have Rattail cloned from that small sample, and see his grandson again. Assigned or not.
During the Rickshaw Redempetion, Repo fought against Federation Bugs AND Ricks--he was trying to defend himself, for the most part, but seeing Ricks using their Mortys as meat shields disgusted him. He ended up getting disabled when his collar was ripped off and he got stuck in his own black hole until around the time of the Ricklantis Mixup. When seen again, he's trapped in a cell, under penalization for killing Ricks that weren't on the list. When President Morty is elected, Repo is released from prison, and his work parameters are adjusted to suit the President's needs.
He's also able to live in the city rather than just stay to the facility or out in his space ship. Repo usually lives in Mortytown these days when he's not traveling, although he prefers NOT to go back to the citadel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(these comics are old)
I'll put what he's doing post season 5 in another post.
Why doesn't Repo go to any Rick to get the collar removed? Well, because, the technology to create it isn't that difficult but a whole black hole is pretty powerful to own. If you create the technology to seal that black hole and keep it from activating, it's likely a conditional. Repo doesn't trust a Rick to not just put the collar back on him, and he knows most of them aren't dumb enough to not arm themselves with auto-defense measures.
The other thing was that MOST RICKs are disgusted by Retrieval Units. They're basically slave-class Ricks and Mortys and seeing a Rick reduced to servitude is too much for the egotists to handle. They could do something about it, but most Ricks would rather point and laugh. A Rick going to them and begging for help is extremely disgusting, by their standards. Repo has a little dignity left, and he refuses to hold any Rick in such high regard.
If he's gonna get Rattail back, it's going to be at gun point, with a lot of screaming and threats. If he has to threaten a Rick's family to do it, he will. Really, the only Rick that might actually help him based on it being the Right Thing to Do would either be Doofus or Healthy Rick.
Tumblr media
Personality wise, he's closer to Cop Rick except washed down with so much apathy and a lot... a LOT of rage. He has a soft spot for kids, he grew more compassionate after being made into this undying slave to fascist ideals that is the Citadel. Being immortal wouldn't be so bad if he were actually free, like he's supposed to be.
Maybe one day he'll get his massive intellect restored, but if it happens, don't expect warm hugs and wholesome moments. YOU WANT A TERRORIST? I'LL SHOW YOU A TERRORIST, CITADEL--
Repo's playlist is here.
Songs referenced in these comics and overall pretty important to his character: "Psycho" by MUSE, "my name is human" by highly suspect

Hello im a Tommy enthusiast who watched that one stream where he monologued to foolish for like hafe an hour bc i heard it was a cool stream or wtv to realize how much amazing character moments it had that barly anyone in this damn fandom is talking about so ill fucking do it
(Only after finishing this i realized i wrote 1.7k words LOL OOPS)
If u dont know what in talking about its this stream (apologies for linking a clips channel the actual vod on foolish's channel is deleted by now)
Also heads up /rp /dsmp every time i refer to someone here by name is their character unless stated otherwise bc writing c! Before every name Is tiring LOL
Also // suicidal idealization , death mentions
The conversation starts off with foolish and tommy mining for Wilbur, and foolish questions how simply mining will solve the problem to which Tommy reponds with "they dont get solved, do they? It just ends uo with some madman screaming 'Hes solved it!' And now look at him." And how he wants to "prevent the problem before it goes outta hand" something that clearly references Wilbur and his destruction of lmanburg, which paired with him collecting stone for Wilbur as the way to stop said problems he believes if he does anything he can for Wilbur and support him by his side enough this time around, that he wont do anything like thay again, which as im writing this makes be realize by doing that we learn hes blaming himself for what happened to Wilbur in November 16th and pogtopia and a whole, by not being enough for Wilbur in his mind.
The conversation continues, foolish off hand asks why would tommy want to stop Wilbur? Weren't they friends at some point? To which tommy leads foolish to lmanburg and tells him the story of the nation (how it was him and Wilbur's nation, how they made it to espace dream's iron fist and how they held an election "which puts your life on the line, which is good- if you're confident but- perhaps we were too confident", how they lost)
Tommy: "You know the phrase: 'treat other how you wanna be treated', foolish? People dont ever listen to it. Wilbur- he decided he wanted to be treated poorly so he treated everyone around him poorly "
This Tommy quote, to me at least, so so amazingly strong in conveying how understanding he is? To the world around him. Like-
I have not seen one person bring this quote up, and yet its (at least to me) shows such growth and understanding in Tommy i saw little to nothing like it in other streams. It shows he understands, he knew Wilbur didnt change just because, he knows he was struggling, that he thought everyone around him were againt him, were going to abandon him the first chance theyll get- and he thought he deserved it. So he, as a last way to defend himself against that, hurt them first, abandoned them first, so theyll see how much of a 'bad' person he was and take him out- and tommy saw right through that, possibly understanding it more after exile.
This next qoute was talked about much more but i still wanna bring it up
Foolish: "Do you believe in second chances?"
Tommy: "Oh, no I don't really believe that its not really a thing for me foolish its just that-" *sigh* "- i believe everyone has a little bit of good in then and this is not about giving him a second chance or a third chance- its not about *chances* foolish. Its about not giving up on the poeple you care about. "
Which. I mean. I dont know how healthy that mindset is, but comign from Tommy it makes so much sense.
Techno, tubbo, eret, sapnap. These are all people Tommy used to be extremely close to, had either a war or had been betrayed by them, and yet still found it in his heart that he still cares for them, with all of these, they did horrendous things, that hurt tommy physically and mentally, while also not being once or twice, but a contentious thing, but while tommy is to this day still effected by their actions he still found it in himself to forgive, because he knows he fucked up too, a lot, and he knoes they learned from their mistakes just as he had (except c!techno FUCKKK c!techno mf doesnt learn SHITTT) and he knows, when the time comes he knows hed want the people he hurt to forgive him too. (And he wants Wilbur to do the same)
Next qoute i will cut to a couple parts because its really so good and full of character i had to bro
Foolish: "Do you consider yourself to be the good guy or the bad guy?"
Tommy: "It really depends who you ask, isn't it? Yknow? If you asked dream he'd say im *his little toy that he plays with* you know? It doesnt.."
This part really stunned me when i first heard it because, and correct me If im wrong, but i dont think tommy ever acknowledged how dream sees him, and  how right he has his viewpoint too. Just the fact tommy is so *painfully* aware of how dream doesnt even see him as a person anymore but just a toy to mess around with for a while than just throw it away when it get too boring really hurt me. Someone give this kid a hug
(Continued) Tommy: "...foolish, honestly? I used to consider myself 'the good guy', you know? The fuckin'- second in command! But these past- these past like six months or so, foolish, everything got so much harder than it was before. Because before it was just us vs bad guys, it was all so clear! But- its not been 'clear' for so long, right? It wasn't; 'these are the bad guys! These are the good guys!' Now it's : 'he's doing this and it makes him a bit worse-' i mean, it all got so complicated, so- i don't know. Depends who you ask."
He says this, in response to foolish asking if hes a good guy- but its awfully similar to if Wilbur asked him if they were the bad guys. Because foolish just asked about him, and yet in his answer tommy made sure to keep using the words "us, he's, guys" as if hes not really talking about himself, as if hes explaining how Wilbur was wrong. Which he was. Also something interesting ive noticed, he says "the last 6 months or so", which indicated that with Wilbur he knew better to follow his word and leadership- with Wilbur he was always on the right side but when he lost him he felt much more lost alone, and couldn't trust himself enough to be on the "right side" .
Foolish: "I dont know, it all seems strange because just from, you know- hearing from others and, you know, learing a little bit, its seems like you've been the hero, you've been the villain, the conqueror, the savior, and, even now, i have no idea what you exactly are."
Tommy: "that's up to you to decide, isn't it? Im just- *uh*  i dont know. These days, foolish, I'm a little weaker than i used to be"
Foolish couldn't be more right with what he said, another example of this we see where a character acknowledges tommy never sticks to one thing us Charlie when calling him "tommy fron nowhere" which shows more how he cant stick to one thing, during the course of him on the server he had been friends and enemy with nearly everyone, been on pretty much all sides, and while never really intentionally, being in the center of conflict. When foolish says he doesnt know who tommy is anymroe at this point and all Tommy says in return is that "hes a little weaker than he used to be" does to show he misses who he used to be, with lmanburg, with Wilbur, when he knew who he was, now he doesn't know who he is anymore, but still so desperately want to be more demonstrated by the lines coming rigth after that one:
(Continued) Tommy: "..I'm not- I'm now who i want to be, but-"
Foolish: "Being honest with you, Tommy, that's the same case for me as well."
Tommy: "...heres the thing, foolish, unlike you i dont really have a choice. I have to try and be who i want to be, because if i dont, very bad things are gonna happen in this server. And now that Wilbur's back i can't- quite frankly *no one* can risk that. So i dont really have a choice."
Tommy want's to change- he wants to be better than he is now, to be closer to who he used to be, no matter how impossible that might be, but he also sees it as an immediate thing, he wants to change now, or asap, which is why hes collecting stone for Wilbur in the first place- old him would've done that with ease just because Wilbur asked and he wants to have that back so badly, asap. The way he talked about this reminded me of when he tried getting over his trauma stream before he went in the prison to kill dream: he knew he wasnt the best but he tried getting over that asap to go kill dream asap. He didnt wanna take the long road of years of healing and instead thought he could get over it just like that, and that experience clearly didnt teach him anything because now hes trying to slide back to the relationship he and Wilbur used to have and ignoring the drastic changes they both had plus the bad moments that were the reason they feel out in the first place, or maybe he knows, but at this point, after everything that happened to him and the server, he doesnt care anymore? He knows hes not the same he was and he'll never be the same, because thats not how it works, but his mentor, president, big brother is back after so long tommy felt so lost and alone he thinks maybe, this time around, with Wilbur, he could try and be better again.

Peter is called Jeremy here since that's his birth name. Also I know in rl someone,  especially the age he is here, wouldn’t really be able to adjust as quickly to something like this, but it’s rp and one with things like werewolves and faeries in it so obviously things are already NOT realistic, and also he hasn’t actually adjusted so much as he’s forced himself to based on upbringing already, and has the fact that he’s half vampire aiding him as well.
tw: abuse, child abuse
Ever since the Petrovs and the other families that made up the clan of hunters that formed centuries ago they had started training their offspring at a young age. Jeremy was no different. Unlike many hunters, they had always seen witches as potential allies. Ones that could provide them with healing draughts and enchanted items that could help keep them alive, or make the hunt and kill easier. Over time they started having them assist with the training too. Today was one of those trainings.
Jeremy followed in silence as his uncle led him further and further into the woods from where they had left the dirt bike they’d ridden out from the family home. He knew not to talk. At only six years old the boy had already learned what happened when you talked out of turn during training time. “We’re here” his uncle said, coming to a stop in a small clearing, and turning around to face Jeremy, who had almost walked into the man.
They were here, but where was here, and why were they here? Questions Jeremy wanted to ask, but didn’t. His hand was still healing from the last time. “Do you remember which way we came from?” his uncle asked.
“Yes, sir” Jeremy nodded, “We came from that way” he added confidently, as he turned around and pointed in the direction they had come. It had been a fairly easy question.
“Good.” his uncle pulled out a small black case that he unzipped to reveal held a couple small vials of liquid. He took two out. One a clear liquid and the other with an orangish hue to it. One that would take effect almost immediately, and the other that would take no longer than fifteen minutes to. He unscrewed the one with the orange hue and held it out to his nephew. “Drink”
“What is - “ Jeremy started to ask as he took it, but quickly closed his mouth when he saw the look his uncle shot him, and instead gave an obedient nod before drinking it. It was only after he had swallowed down what was in the first vial that his uncle explained exactly what they were doing out there. Today’s training was about training the senses, and being able to hone in on certain ones. Given that he wasn’t fully human, something that the boy didn’t actually know, Jeremy already had an advantage, but that didn’t excuse him from the training. If anything it had just made them train him harder. The objective of today’s training was simple. Make it back home on his own.
There were no objections from him as he was told this, and that he would have to find his way back home alone. When he was handed the vial of clear liquid he drank it down, this time without a word, and no sooner had he swallowed did his eyes close and body drop its short distance to the ground. His uncle bent down, first taking the vial and screwing the lid back on to put it back in the case, and then to scoop Jeremy up. He walked a few feet and laid him down next to a tree, facing him in a different direction from where they had come from. The sleeping potion would last for an hour, more than enough time for the other potion to take effect, and for him to make his way back to his dirt bike and back to the Petrov property.
When Jeremy awoke again everything was dark. Not the kind of dark when night fell or the power went out or when it was closet time. No, this was a different kind of dark. It was like a void and Jeremy couldn’t see anything. He brought his hands up to touch his eyes, thinking maybe he hadn’t actually opened them, but they were open. He had successfully touched an eyeball with his tiny fingers. The small boy wanted to do nothing more but cry, but that would be unacceptable. Crying was unacceptable.
Instead, he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath in order to steady the bit of nerves running through him. He remembered what his uncle had said, this was about training his senses, so he would just need to focus on the others. While a sense of touch would come in handy, it would be focusing on his senses of smell and sound that he would need to use the most in order to succeed in the day’s training.
First he would need to find the direction to start in. There were plenty of smells out in the forest, but once he was able to concentrate he was able to pick up on what lingered of his uncle’s scent. It had him walking in a circle before he realized that it was much stronger in one area. That would be the direction to start in. One foot in front of the other, he told himself internally as took off.
It was a slow, but steady pace. Jeremy stopped frequently to make sure he was still following the scent, a few times having to correct his course. He kept his ears open for the sounds of wild creatures or monsters that might be lurking in the woods, and every now and then he would stop to feel a tree and how thick and low a branch was in the event he might need to climb. It was then he would count in his head how many steps until he got to a new tree and did the same. This was all in the event he would need to run back to it to climb for safety he would be able to count his steps back.
Jeremy couldn’t tell what time it was or how long had passed since he’d started, but it had eventually started to cool, which must have meant it was somewhere in the later afternoon or close to evening at least. Having grown hungry he stopped and sat, and did what he did in secret sometimes, especially when not feeding him had been part of a punishment, he pushed up a sleeve and sank his slightly protruding canines into his arm. It never made him feel full, but it would hopefully be enough to sustain him til he made it back home.
After a few minutes he started on his way again. Eventually he could hear the sound of running water. It wasn’t rapid running water, but still it was a steady flow. Either way, Jeremy followed it, having remembered crossing over a stream on the way out with his uncle. On the way out they had used some stones to step across, but as Jeremy finally reached the stream he knew there wouldn’t really be a way for him to know if he had gone back to the same spot or if there were stones he could use to hop across to the other side at all.
Going across would just have to be a chance he took. He sat down near the stream and took his shoes and socks off, stuffing the socks down into the shoes and tying his shoes together with the shoelaces to hang them around his neck. Lastly, he rolled his pants up some, before standing and stepping forward to the stream. As he started to make his way across he found that it was deeper than he thought it had looked, and more than once did he get knocked off his feet and carried downstream a little before he was able to feel a rock to grab onto or simply be able to manage to find his footing again. Banged up from hitting some rocks and completely soaked, Jeremy was able to make it to the other side. He laid down on the shore, coughing and catching his breath for a few minutes.
Abandoning his shoes and socks he continued on barefoot and soaked from head to toe. The more he walked the more he started to second guess himself and wonder if he was even going in the right direction. He had lost his uncle’s scent and was trying to find it again, and there was no sound to focus on for a direction now that he was past the stream. Every part of this boy wanted to just sit and cry, but he couldn’t. Once again he had to remind himself that crying wasn’t acceptable, and if there was any evidence that he had been when he found his way back home there would be consequences. So, once again he swallowed them down and put on a brave face, if only for himself as there was no one else out there to see.
There had been another shift in the weather after Jeremy had been walking for a while. It was even cooler now and as Jeremy inhaled he took in the scent of the cool night air. He had also noticed a shift in sounds. Animals that he hadn’t heard throughout the day now hit his ear, and others had disappeared as they had settled in for the night.
Onward he went, until sleep started to overtake him. Jeremy stopped, turned around,  and counted the fifty-seven steps he’d taken since the last tree he’d been counting from. He took his shirt off, tossing it to the ground, then felt for the lowest climbable branch and pushed himself up into the tree. This would be his resting place for the night. He pulled his arm close to him to bite into and drink from, having grown hungry again, before falling asleep.
When morning came and the sun beamed down upon him, he hopped down off the branch, and followed the scent back to his shirt. He’d left it on the ground, so that he could remember which direction he had been going in. One thing he had been taught early on was to always leave a trail, and as he couldn’t leave one that he could see he had left one that he could smell.
On and on he walked, still unsure if he was even going in the right direction, as he didn’t even know where he was outside of just generally being in the forest. He didn’t know if  any of the trees looked familiar, or if there were other markers that could tell him where he was. At this point his other senses weren’t helping him with directions so much as they were keeping him alert and aware of his surroundings. No, he was just moving forward on his journey based on gut feeling.
Jeremy followed that gut feeling until something familiar caught his nose. There were certain flowers that grew in the area of the forest near the Petrov property. Following the scent, he was able to soon hear the familiar sounds of barking coming from the family's dogs. Yes, he now knew for sure he was going in the right direction. What solidified it, however, was the sound of bullets pinging against metal targets.
When he finally made it back onto the family property, no one was out there to greet him with any sort of affection or congratulations for finding his way back despite one of the potions having taken his ability to see. Nor the fact that every other member of the family hadn’t undergone this particular type of training til they were twice his age.
No, what he was greeted with when he was able to find the front door to the house and went inside was the sound of his grandfather’s disapproval. It had taken him too long to find his way back. He should have been back within the same day the training had started. All Jeremy could do was apologize, go to his room,  and wait for his punishment for failing and losing his shoes.
During the wait his grandmother brought him the potion that would reverse the effects of the one he had taken that had left him blind. She didn’t say anything before or after, simply made sure he took it, that it worked, and then left. It wasn’t until several hours later that Jeremy heard his grandfather call for him to come down the stairs and into the kitchen.
Jeremy obeyed and made his way down to the kitchen. He didn’t have to be told what to do as he saw his grandfather with the small circular  branding iron stuck in the flames on one of the burners on the stove, and took his shirt off. This wasn’t the first time this particular punishment had been used. The cry out when hot iron hit skin was one the boy hadn’t meant to make, it was a sign of weakness, same as tears were. Both were unacceptable. Jeremy clenched his jaw and fought back another cry out and tears as the iron was set against his skin a second time. Punishment for showing weakness. This time on his side rather than his back.
His grandfather turned the burner off, and dismissed Jeremy to go outside and find his cousin who would be starting him on training with a bow and arrow.

5e Rakan, the Charmer build (League of Legends)
Tumblr media
(Artwork by Riot Games)
Happy day after Valentine's Day friends. I wrote this build in August, and a lot has happened to my little bird twink during that time. Along with a damn good new skin (and you know: new season) he’s become one of the more sought out supports in pro play. Also I got him to Mastery 5 at time of writing (December 13th, 2020.) Who knows: I might update this little blurb to say I got him to a higher mastery.
Sadly I don’t have a Xayah to duo queue with. But I’m always ready to be the support that you need~ 💓
GOALS
Am I not magnificent? - Rakan’s title is literally “the charmer.” Of course we’re gonna need some charms.
War is in the dance - With an ability called “Battle Dance” we’ll need to be quick on our feat, dashing around our foes and popping them up with a Grand Entrance.
Nothing's fun without risk - While he may not be the best enchanter Rakan has a ton of heals and shields for both himself and his allies.
RACE
Rakan is half bird, but he doesn’t do a lot of flying which leaves Aarakocra out of the picture. He’s also incredibly chatty (holy shit have you seen how many voice lines Xayah and Rakan have?) so Kenku is definitely not an option. So when in Rome as a furry look no further than a Shifter.
All Shifters have Darkvision and their Shifting ability to gain temporary hitpoints, but everything else is determined by their subrace: to be ever quick and ever charming go for a Swiftstride. As a Swiftstride Shifter your Dexterity increases by 2 and your Charisma increases by 1. You are Graceful and have proficiency with the Acrobatics skill, and your Shifting feature lets you get down with The Quickness, moving 10 feet faster and being able to move 10 feet as a reaction if an enemy ends their turn within 5 feet of you, all while not provoking oppertunity attacks!
ABILITY SCORES
15; WISDOM - Rakan is all about the spirit of the wild and the subtle magic of nature. Wait Nature and Arcana are Intelligence skills? Uhhhhh...
14; INTELLIGENCE - Rakan certainly doesn’t show that he’s smart but Nature and Arcana are Intelligence skills. That, and this is a requirement for a very particular class.
13; CHARISMA - A charmer of course needs to be charming. (Feel free to swap this with CON if you want more health but worse RP.)
12; DEXTERITY - Even if Rakan is normally shirtless this is enough for good ol’ Medium Armor thanks to our Racial stat increases.
10; CONSTITUTION - Even though Rakan plays up close and personal he’s certainly not a tank.
8; STRENGTH - You wouldn’t risk ruffling your feathers by doing heavy lifting.
BACKGROUND
While Rakan didn’t start out a rebel like Xayah he gladly joined her cause, and while a background like Entertainer might make more sense for him he’s without a doubt a Freedom Fighter now... unfortunately there’s no Freedom Fighter background so Faction Agent is the next best thing.
You get proficiency with any Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma ability and naturally we’ll be going for Performance. You also get proficiency in Insight but we’re actually going to be replacing it with Arcana for knowledge of the magic of the wild. Additionally you can learn two languages of your choice: unfortunately Aarakocra isn’t an option but Auran (or rather Primordial) is. And to learn the ancient language of Ionia I’d recommend Sylvan.
As a vastayan rebel you can gain access to a Safe Haven for you and your allies. By using secret signs and passwords you can identify other rebels who can bring you to a safe house, give you a free place to stay, or assist you in finding information. They won’t risk their lives for you but as long as you remember the password they’ll be willing to help. You... did remember the password, right?

THE BUILD
LEVEL 1 - CLERIC 1
Starting off as a Cleric, the king of supports. As a Cleric you get proficiency in two skills from the Cleric list: this is actually where we’ll be grabbing Insight proficiency from along with Medicine to keep Xayah safe.
Clerics get to choose their subclass at level 1 and there are obviously a lot of options to go for: Peace to bond with Xayah, War to better your battle dance, Nature or Arcana to further your connection to natural magic... Bet you wouldn’t expect the choice to be the Order Domain from Guildmasters’ Guide to Ravnica! (Also reprinted in Tasha’s Cauldron.) (I’ll go over why Order whenever we get abilities important to the build.)
For a start Order Clerics get proficiency in Heavy Armor as well as either Intimidation or Persuasion; Xayah’s got the scary part down so go for Persuasion, since someone’s gotta be the smooth talker! You also get Voice of Authority, letting you set up for an ally with a Grand Entrance. If you cast a spell with a spell slot and target an ally they can use their reaction to make one weapon attack against a creature of your choice. You have to be able to see the enemy you want them to target, and if you target multiple allies with a spell only one of them can use their reaction to attack. But setting up for friends to cut through foes is what you do best!
Speaking of spells and set-up Clerics get access to Spellcasting! You can learn three cantrips at level 1: for a Gleaming Quill grab Sacred Flame which does Radiant damage (not Fire damage!) to a foe. If you’re getting surrounded however Word of Radiance will let you shine on your foes for more Radiant damage! And to be a good support and help your allies out of combat Guidance lets you add a d4 to ability checks.
You can also prepare a number of spells equal to your Wisdom modifier plus your Cleric level. As an Order Domain Cleric you have Heroism and Command as part of your Domain Spells, meaning that you don’t have to prepare to be the hero and force your enemies in line. For a close range heal look no further than Cure Wounds. For a shield grab Shield of Faith to make it harder for enemies to kill your allies. And to set up for your friends grab Bless, making it easier for them to hit and survive.
LEVEL 2 - CLERIC 2
Second level Clerics can Channel Divinity once per short or long rest, invoking the power of the gods to help them. All Clerics can Turn Undead, forcing undead within 30 feet to make a Wisdom save or run away from you. However Order Clerics can charm their foes with Order’s Demand. You can charm (yes charm!) anyone of your choice within 30 feet until the end of your next turn, or until they take damage. Additionally you can force them to drop whatever they’re holding so they don’t shoot Xayah!
This is one of the many abilities I wanted out of Order Domain. A big AoE charm that also stops enemies from hitting you and your friends is right up Rakan’s alley.
You can also prepare another spell and while Rakan doesn’t have a ranged heal in-game Healing Word is just too good to pass up on as an Order Cleric. Bonus action let your friend whack an enemy!
LEVEL 3 - WIZARD 1
Didn’t take Rakan as the bookish type, did you? Well, he isn’t, but we need some abilities from Wizard that we can’t get elsewhere except Clockwork Sorcerer which makes even less sense for Rakan. Regardless Wizards also get Spellcasting. You learn 3 cantrips from the Wizard list: for a more direct autoattack grab Firebolt because I like having a variety of damaging cantrips, to add some pizzazz to your dance Prestidigitation will let you add a bunch of funky visual effects as you please, and for some coordination in Team Chat grab Message! "Did you notice the sky?" "It's lovely." "Not as beautiful as you."
You can prepare a number of spells equal to your Wizard level plus your Intelligence modifier, but when you multiclass into Wizard you can learn 4 spells to put in your spellbook. You can only prepare spells in your spellbook is the long-and-short of the class. Anyways: to bedazzle your foes grab Color Spray and blind them with your beauty. For a little owl companion take Find Familiar. To run when you need to Expeditious Retreat will help. And finally to detect the magic of the world take... Detect Magic...
Wizards also have Arcane Recovery, letting them recover a spell slots of a combined level equal to half their Wizard level rounded down. In short every spell slot counts the same number of “points” as the spell’s level, and you can recover a number of spell points equal to half your Wizard level. So a third level Wizard can either recover a 2nd level spell or two 1st level spells. Oh and you can’t recover spell slots past 5th level.
LEVEL 4 - WIZARD 2
Second level Wizards can choose their Arcane Tradition, and to protect yourself with Fey Feathers the School of Abjuration is here for you. Along with being an Abjuration Savant (letting you learn Abjuration spells in half the time for half the cost) you have an Arcane Ward to shield you: when you cast a leveled Abjuration spell you can also create a magical ward on yourself that lasts until you finish a long rest. The ward has a hit point maximum equal to twice your Wizard level plus your Intelligence modifier. (So currently 6 HP.)
Whenever you take damage, the ward takes the damage instead. If the damage reduces the ward to 0 hit points, you take any remaining damage. Whenever you cast an abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, the ward regains a number of hit points equal to twice the level of the spell.
You also learn 2 more spells so how about some Abjuration spells? Shield is a reaction Abjuration spell to protect you from melee attacks, while Absorb Elements is a reaction Abjuration spell to protect you from magic. AR and MR!
Tumblr media
(Artist unknown. Made for Riot Games.)
LEVEL 5 - WIZARD 3
3rd level Wizards can learn second level spells but I’d actually suggest learning Alarm back at 1st level. Why Alarm? It’s an Abjuration spell you can cast as a Ritual, so you can just cast it continuously to refresh your Arcane Ward even without preparing the spell. For your other spell Mirror Image is a quick and easy way to keep the baddies from whacking you.
LEVEL 6 - WIZARD 4
4th level Wizards get an Ability Score Improvement but I’m actually going to suggest the Observant feat to increase your uneven Wisdom score. Every Support’s gotta pay attention to their wards!
You can also learn another two spells along with a cantrip: take Dancing Lights to set up a stage! As for spells you’re the loud and proud sort so to make a Grand Entrance grab Knock to make way for your party! Meanwhile if you want to keep yourself and your allies safe from ranged harm Warding Wind will do just that and more, but it will also make it harder for Xayah to hit. "What the hell were you thinking?" "Back there?" "Yes." "I wasn't. I never think. Ugh... thinking."
LEVEL 7 - WIZARD 5
5th level Wizards can learn third level spells so it’s time to grab our first mass charm: Hypnotic Pattern, which isn’t an Enchantment spell but in fact an Illusion spell (which will be important later.) If you want to get down with The Quickness however there’s nothing better than some good old-fashioned Haste.
LEVEL 8 - WIZARD 6
6th level Abjuration Wizards can finally protect their party and their girlfriend thanks to Projected Ward, letting you use your reaction to reduce the damage an ally takes with your Arcane Ward. “Thank you honey!”
You can also learn two more spells from the Wizard spell list. Xayah need to call someone? Help her with Sending. Want to go full AP for the traditional D&D Grand Entrance? Fireball.

LEVEL 9 - CLERIC 3
We’ve spent enough time down in Nerdsville so how about some more Cleric levels? Third level Clerics can prepare second level spells like Aid to boost up your teammates with a Knight’s Vow. Speaking of Knight’s Vow Warding Bond will let you bond with Xayah so you take some damage for her.
Additionally as an Order Domain Cleric you have Hold Person and Zone of Truth innately prepared. Keep enemies at bay and let them know the truth!
LEVEL 10 - CLERIC 4
4th level Clerics get an Ability Score Improvement and I’m going to suggest further increasing your Wisdom, as it’ll help us more with our Cleric abilities which will be important later.
You also learn another cantrip such as Mending to keep your outfit in check. Additionally you can prepare two new spells with your increased Wisdom: Lesser Restoration can give you or Xayah some Tenacity when needed, but I’d suggest holding off on the other slot.
LEVEL 11 - CLERIC 5
5th level Clerics who use Turn Undead now Destroy Undead of CR 1/2 or lower. It’s unlikely that you’ll be fighting CR 1/2 enemies at level 11 but hey: it’s still useful!
What’s more useful however is that you can now prepare third level spells! As an Order Cleric you have Mass Healing Word for Redemption, or Slow to... slow the enemy. Maybe you grabbed Righteous Glory? Who knows.
Regardless the important thing is your charms so grab Fast Friends to charm single targets and Incite Greed to get a whole crowd to follow your Fey Feathers!
You may be asking why we’re grabbing Enchantment Spells of all the spells that Clerics get a third level. Well for one it’s because you’re The Charmer, but more importantly...
LEVEL 12 - CLERIC 6
At 6th level you become an Embodiment of the Law as an Order Domain Cleric. The law of dance that is! If you cast an Enchantment spell of first level or higher you can choose to make that spell a bonus action instead, and can do it a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier. You regain these fast charms after a long rest.
This was the main reason I went into Order Domain. Being able to quickly charm foes is textbook for Rakan, which made this subclass ideal for this build.
You can also prepare another spell at this level: Dispel Magic with Mikael's Crucible in case of any strong debuffs. Also more Abjuration spells for your shield!
Tumblr media
(Artwork by Yusuh on DeviantArt. You have no idea how hard it is to find solo artwork for these two.)
LEVEL 13 - WIZARD 7
7th level Wizards can learn 4th level spells like Confusion; something that fills my allies whenever I take Rakan into the jungle. For your other spell I’d actually suggest hopping back to third level for Counterspell to keep your allies safe with more Abjuration. Trust me it’ll be important later.
LEVEL 14 - WIZARD 8
At 8th level you get an Ability Score Improvement and despite being a Wizard we’ve kinda been ignoring Intelligence: let’s fix that with a +2 so our Ward can be stronger as can our Wizard spells.
You can also learn two new spells: more Charms? Charm Monster, so even the mighty Volibear can’t resist you. Other than that there are tons of great Wizard spells but I’m never going to say no to Dimension Door.
LEVEL 15 - WIZARD 9
9th level Wizards can cast 5th level spells like Dominate Person for charms on-par with mind control! (Because it is Mind Control.) For more combative 5th level spells Synaptic Status will let you bedazzle everyone in a 20 foot radius sphere, making it harder to hit as they’re stunned by your beauty. Rakan can have some AP; as a treat.
LEVEL 16 - WIZARD 10
10th level Abjuration Wizards get Improved Abjuration, letting them add their proficiency bonus to any ability check to Dispel Magic (such as with Dispel Magic or Counterspell.) If you wish you can also have Bless active on yourself for a d4 + 5 to any counterspell check. When you consider that the DC is equal to 10 plus the spell’s level and you have up to a +9 to the check it’s more than likely that you can be a Guardian against any dangerous spells!
You also get another cantrip at this level: do you already have too many cantrips? Yeah probably, but to get more props for your dance take Minor Illusion.
As for your two new Wizard spells Hold Monster is like Hold Person, but it works on Baron! And how about something to keep Zoe in her dimension? Banishment is a 4th level spell that works like a super CC that knocks an enemy out of the fight completely. You can’t attack them while they’re on another plane, but if they’re not native to the plane and spend a full minute Banished they go back to their original plane.

LEVEL 17 - WIZARD 11
11th Wizards can prepare 6th level spells. Want to keep Xayah safe from a falling temple and shadow ninjas? Globe of Invulnerability blocks all spells of one level lower than you used to cast the spell. In general. The globe surrounds you but you can dive in to protect Xayah. But what if you just want to dance? Look no further than Otto's Irresistible Dance! It’s a spell that forces everyone to dance; that’s all you need to know! But seriously read the description of your spells.
LEVEL 18 - WIZARD 12
12th level Wizards get another Ability Score Improvement: seeing as we are going deep down the Wizard path it only makes sense to get a bit more Intelligence.
You can also learn 2 more spells: Contingency will let you cast a spell in case of emergency. Choose a spell of 5th level or lower that can target yourself and a trigger for the spell: when the trigger happens the spell activates. Backup plans are more of Xayah’s thing, but something like “Banish myself if I’m about to die because Xayah would kill herself if I died” is a good plan.
There are tons of other good Wizard spells; so many that I can’t choose any that would particularly fit Rakan or the build as a whole. You have a limited number of prepared spells anyways so take something you think will be useful.
LEVEL 19 - WIZARD 13
13th level Wizards can prepare 7th level spells: want to do a conjoined recall? Teleport will let you and up to 8 willing creates teleport to a location, such as your fountain. There’s a table of places you can end up which I suggest looking at for the full details of the spell, because it’s a rather overwhelming spell to explain without copy-pasting the description. But because I further suffer with what spells to give you in a high leveled Wizard build how about a fancy light show? Crown of Stars lets seven stars orbit your head which you can shoot out at enemies or light up the night!
LEVEL 20 - WIZARD 14
Our capstone is the 14th level of Abjuration Wizard for some much needed MR. Spell Resistance lets you resist all damage coming from spells and have advantage on all saving throws against spells!
Speaking of spells you can learn your final two but... pick for yourself this time! Xayah will love you despite all your faults, and I’m sure that you can make a choice for yourself. This is my way of saying I’m sick of picking Wizard spells.
FINAL BUILD
PROS
You will see my dance - You are the master of keeping your friends safe with charms to keep fights from happening and both shields and heals to keep your allies from being hurt.
Look at me now! - You are incredibly elusive: 18 AC (Scale Mail + Shield) you can bump up with the Shield spell, a 32 HP ward to protect you and your allies, and even Shifting for Temp HP and more dodging.
You put us in a cage? I put you in the ground - And of course as a caster with full caster levels you are more than capable of putting down the hurt, especially due to the added efficiency of being able to cast two spells in a turn (well a leveled spell and a cantrip) thanks to Embodiment of the Law.
CONS
I don't have to remember the plan if you do - You are essentially mixing two spellcasters who want you to use extremely dedicated spell lists. Abjuration spells to make Abjuration Wizard work and Enchantment Spells to make Order Cleric work. Sure you don’t only need to cast Enchantment and Abjuration spells but there also aren’t that many Abjuration spells to power up your ward.
I can't die looking this good! - The vast majority of your levels being in Wizard combined with a 0 Constitution score results in a health bar that’s easily under 100. You may have advantage on all saving throws but Power Word Kill has no save.
Woo! You animals are dumb! - The other problem with mixing two full casters together is that you can’t get the best of both worlds. You aren’t getting 9th level spells in general (even if you get the slots for ‘em) and both your Wisdom and your Intelligence aren’t maxed out. Sure if you aren’t using Standard Array that isn’t an issue but you’re bound to drop something.
But if you were perfect why would you need Xayah? She completes you, and you complete her. Fight along side her and together you’ll be unstoppable. There’s nothing you can’t defeat with the power of love... But a plan would also probably be good. "I think Xayah told me to improvise. At least, that's the only part of the plan I remember."

I just want to say to the people who are worried about the revival arc going the same way as the post doomsday arc, I honestly... don't think it is. Not the exact same way. The main reason for this is that, Tommy's death was so much more real this time and people's reactions are much different. When Tommy came back last time, he'd lost a lot and they were all pretty collectively against Dream, everyone was willing to put aside their differences to help.
He and Tubbo had worked out their differences and repair their long relationship before taking on the supposed monster of the server. And Tommy had had time to sort out his emotions before returning. This time? It's a very different story. He's suddenly been thrust back with a lot more truama thats much harder for him to hide. This time as well, Dream's behind bars. To most people? He's no longer a threat. They're not going to listen to his warnings or band with him this time. I think the only one who would genuinely be on Tommy's side here is Ranboo. This arc is going to be a lot more focused for certain people, but much less focused for the majority.
Honestly I'm not even sure if Tommy and Ranboo will work together, or if they do it's going to require a lot of healing and opening up on both of their parts (and we know how good they are at doing that). This time as well, I think Tommy's feeling a lot more hurt and anxious than ever before, and we know that Tommy is not his best self in those cases. Do I think he's going to have a villian arc? No. I do however think he and Ranboo both are going to be willing to do a lot of stuff people won't be happy about in order to kill Dream. Over all I think this is arc is going to be less cathartic as the post doomsday one, based on their last streams we're going to see just how far Tommy and Ranboo are willing to go to actually see this through and prevent Dream from resurrecting anyone else.

As a warning, this is going to be a looooong post! Not long after my last post, another rp server on discord I help run opened up and I was finally able to start using this man. Pantherheart is very soon to become Pantherstar and take over leading his clan, Boneclan. I should probably explain his world a bit before I jump into him, so let’s go! The world Pantherheart and his family live in is a dangerous one. Locating in Central America, living in the rainforest where humans have stopped clearing out trees due to finding Mayan ruins in the area, lies the territories of Wispclan, Boneclan, and Berryclan. Filled with predators no other clan must deal with (unless of course they’re in a similar setting lol), as well as the weather and floods that often come with living in this biome, life is harder here than anywhere else. The cats of these clans have been in this area since the Mayan times, having descended from cats who were kept by the ancient people and who stayed in the area after their people disappeared. The land here is divided into three territories, with the largest river in the area creating the border between Wispclan and the other two. Wispclan’s territory is arguably the safest and best, they very rarely ever have issues with food due to the number of prey animals living in the trees and in the temple they’ve made into their camp. Boneclan is the north-most territory on the other side of the river and is mostly mountainous towards the top of the territory with a desert created by deforestation the farther south in their lands you go. Due to the caves and the sheer number of bats in the area, they tend to be less affected by starvation, but there are times where bats are the only prey they can find. Berryclan has by far the worst territory and are farther south across the river border. Their territory is purely made up of desert caused by deforestation, though they do have an oasis on their territory where various berries grow which they use to dye their pelts. Berryclan is unique in that they dye their fur various colors and patterns and they don’t have a medicine cat! Instead, most cats after completeing their warrior training begin training under another cat in the clan and learn herbs, so anyone in the clan can help heal. These healing warriors are referred to as Zen Warriors and tend to hold much more respect than regular warriors in camp. Wispclan also has an extra role called Shamans who preform sacrifices to Spiritclan (their ancestors) from atop their temple home. Boneclan has Knights which are essentially Senior Warriors. Due to the nature of where they live, it’s not uncommon for cats to die early deaths, so any warrior that makes it to a certain age, performs an act of heroism, or has fought in at least 6 battles is elevated to the rank of Knight. Now that that’s out of the way, let me tell you a bit about Pantherheart! Pantherheart is a bit of a grump, but wasn’t always this way. From a kit to the day he got his warrior name, Pantherheart was as happy as any other young cat. He was excited to learn and play and just exist. It wasn’t until his first patrol as a warrior that he changed. Boneclan has always struggled with Howlers (howler monkeys) and he was put on a patrol with his now ex-mentor and a few others to see  just howbig the current troop on their territory was. Pantherheart was the only one to come back alive. Some of the younger, more aggressive male Howlers had spotted the patrol and attacked. Pantherheart was shoved under a fern by his mentor, his pelt helping hide him better, and had to watch the Howlers kill every single cat on his patrol. As soon as they were all dead, he had to carry all of them back to camp one by one after the Howlers grew bored and dropped the cats back to the ground below. After the mouring period for his mentor and friend, Pantherheart spoke to his leader about leading a patrol to drive the Howlers off their territory once and for all. It took about half the clan, the only cats left in camp being the elders, kits, queens, and apprentices, but they managed to drive them off without any casualties (that’s not to say no one was hurt, but no one died at least). Pantherheart was then made a Knight as this was seen as an act of heroism in saving the clan from the monsters who had claimed so many lives. Pantherheart’s family unfortunately has had many, many losses. He was the only kit to survive in his litter. His parents went on to try 3 more times, each time only coming out with 1 surviving kit. Whether they died in birth or due to an accident as a kit, despite being there for all 9 of his siblings births he has only had the privilege of watching 3 of them become warriors. So far he hasn’t had the opportunity to watch one of them become a Knight like him, but he believes it should be their own choice either way on if they accept the title or not. Of his parents, only his mother has accepted the title of Knight while his father declined when offered the promotion. This piece was made by Shiro46 on ArtFight!

Rules
General:
1. Don’t be a dick. Only be rude in-character. I’m happy to RP arguments, fights, enemies, and the like, but if we talk OOC, be courteous. Feel free to IM me about plot ideas, but don’t harass me. Also, I consider going out of your way to troll people (mainly those who don’t know you/the character well) to be dickish behavior.
2. I only RP things like smut and violence with those who are 18+. If you’re a minor or have no indication of your age on your page, I will only do things like fluff, humor, snarky banter, and some angst. NSFW threads and asks will be tagged Honeymoon (smut) so feel free to blacklist that tag. I also use the Keep Reading feature for my smut threads out of consideration for others.
3. This blog is low-activity and threads are mutuals-only. I will sometimes accept unprompted starters but I am not required to. Non-mutuals and anons are welcome to send asks.
4. No Godmodding! I’m ok with certain characters killing Baby 5 if she says something stupid in your askbox, but don’t come into mine just to kill her. I also consider things like controlling my character’s actions in major ways or deciding what our character’s relationship is like without first discussing with me to be Godmodding.
5. I only follow/interact with RPers that have an easily accessible Rules page (pinned posts or mobile-friendly links are best). All canon muses, whether we would have met in the story or not, please feel free to interact! I also interact with OCs and non-canon characters, however I am selective and you must have either an easily accessible link to your OC’s bio or have it in a pinned post. Multi-muses are also allowed, however you must specify which muse you want Baby 5 to interact with.
6. Be patient, as this blog is low-activity. If I haven’t replied to something in over a week, I give you full permission to IM me a polite reminder – sometimes I missed it, or sometimes I’m just behind on drafts. Either way, it’s ok to check in. I also try not to drop threads unless I feel like they’ve reached a decent conclusion, so feel free to check with me if you think it should keep going.
7. I will do my best to tag triggers if applicable, and if we RP and something makes you uncomfortable, please tell me. I want this to be a fun experience for everyone! I am more than happy to discuss things.
8. I can be a bit wordy, so don’t feel pressured to match lengths with me. That being said, I do expect more than a couple lines in a response. It’s not fun if one person is doing most of the work.
9. RPers and personals, free to like any post, but only reblog headcanons and aesthetic stuff/fanart, not threads. Only RPers who are part of the thread may reblog, as otherwise it makes it harder to keep track of things. RPers at least please make a token effort to reblog memes from the source, and if you do reblog from me, consider sending in an ask.
10. This blog is NOT for hateful people. Bullies, racists, misogynists, ableists, homophobes, transphobes (especially TERFS) are not welcome here. It’s one thing for your character to be (canonically) intolerant of fictional races if it’s played as a straight-up character flaw, but OOC I’m not standing for that shit. This blog is a safe space that welcomes muns and muses from all walks of life.
Shipping:
1. Canonically, Baby 5 is married to Sai. However, if you’re interested in shipping and we have chemistry, I will treat it as if they did not get married but he still got her away from the Doflamingo Family and helped her heal from the manipulation she endured. Alternatively, we could set the relationship pre-Dressrosa Arc.
2. Speaking of canon, I will be toning down Baby 5’s quirk of misinterpreting just about everything as a marriage proposal just so I don’t find myself in ships I don’t want. We can still use it as a joke once I’m comfortable with you.
3. I am also multi-ship and do not tolerate jealousy or drama. If you’re single-ship, that’s fine, but don’t demand the same of me. Each ship is treated as if it’s in its own separate universe.
4. If you wish to engage in some smut or other NSFW threads, please IM me first (though sinday asks are permitted even if we haven’t interacted). I do reserve the right to say no, and I am most comfortable RPing such things with someone I’ve done other threads with just so we have a level of trust and familiarity. Chemistry is also important.
