dabi refused to acknowledge it at all. a cold hearted villain like him falling for someone? unheard of. he couldn’t do it. but god your smile. he loved everything about you, whether he wanted to acknowledge it or not. despite being a villain you were so kind and gentle to him. it was unbearable for him. he even found himself resenting you for a little bit because of the new found feelings. it’s only when you finally confront him about his harsh attitude towards you that he finds himself spilling his guts. you can’t help but be astonished. never had you expected it from someone like him. but nonetheless you welcomed him with open arms.

but don’t be fooled, a relationship with him is complicated as fuck. he lacks any sense of communication skills and is so back and forth. he can’t choose between being harsh and shutting you out or being affectionate in his own ways. he’s more of a “i’ll do things for you to prove my love but i wont show affection” type of guy, contrary to popular believe. it takes forever for you to be able to touch him without him flinching or being repulsed.

shoto is more open about it all. he absolutely loves your attention and finds it comforting. being that he lacked it so much in his child hood, he is soooo clingy and demanding. it takes awhile for this side to introduce itself to you, but it’s so worth it in the end. he’s not really a pda type of person so it’s all i’m private. but he does do little things in public when he’s feeling extra needy or jealous. little things like resting his chin on your shoulder, holding pinkies with you, and subtly wrapping an arm around your waist.

but like i said, it takes awhile for this side of him to warm up to you. at first he doesn’t like the attention, thinking it’s too much and uncomfortable. but once he gets used to it he’s demanding for it constantly. he needs you to make up for it after all these years loll.

the rooftop was quiet. nothing could be heard for miles except for the echo of your muffled hiccups.

it was one of those nights. one of those nights where think back on all the bullshit and it haunts your mind once again. never being enough, working so hard to fit the role given to you, only to be met with nothing but disappointment. nothing was ever enough. being a villain didn’t make it any better.

but it was an escape.

while your mind was at war, you didn’t register the building door opening to the roof top. a black haired male took notice of your form, especially shocked to see that you were crying.

you weren’t the type to cry so easily. so when he saw you nearly hyperventilating he knew it was bad.

so in his own, fucked up way, he tried to help.

“aye, got a smoke?” his hoarse voice broke through the silence.

you quickly whipped your head around, slightly startled by the voice. how long had he been there?

“calm it woman i just got here. so you got any smokes or what?” he said, almost as if reading your mind. “i dont wanna be out here all night.”

you quickly shoved your hand into your pocket, pulling out a little box of cheap cigarettes and throwing it at him. “have the whole thing i don’t want them.” you huffed, before discreetly trying to wipe away any excess tears that had fallen.

“what’s got you so worked up doll?”

you let out a humorless laugh, “oh we’d be here for hours.”

“i’ve got some time, just not all night. i got a mission tomorrow.” he huffed as he sat down beside you.

you took notice of how close he was immediately. you didn’t say anything about it though, and just continued thinking. “just the past coming back to haunt me. especially on nights like these.”

“we all get those nights, doll. and what might be haunting you?”

you sighed, before tacking a drag of the cigarette he lit for you. “i was the oldest child of my family, and i guess i just over reflect sometimes and feel like i’m back in the pit i once was in. trying so hard to meet expectations and coming short handed. nothing is ever enough. and when we fail missions, as we did tonight, i feel back in that head space. i feel like i cant do anything right.” you sniffled again, water works beginning to form again.

damn it, you didn’t want to cry in front of him. especially with how complicated your feelings were for him.

“i was the oldest too. and i could never meet my fathers expectations. he fucked me up. and i’ve come to resent him instead of pity the situation. you need to fight back against that little thought in your head driving you insane. it’ll kill your spirit if you keep entertaining it. i talk from experience.” he slung an arm around your head and pulled you closer.

“you’re gonna be alright, doll. the expectations set on you are not a reflection of who you are. your worth is not determined if you meet them or not. you determine your own worth. and who gives a damn what other people think of you?” he finished, lightly petting your head.

he then leaned down to your ear, “and if you want my opinion, hand job is a man child who cries like a bitch when he doesn’t get what he wants. that’s not a reflection of you.” he chuckled when he heard you giggled at the nickname.

you sat up and brushed the excess tears off your face, sitting up straight and giving him a small smile. “thank you, dabi. really.”

“of course doll, if you need me i’m here. don’t tell anyone about this though. can’t have them thinking i’m all soft and shit.”

you giggled and punched his shoulder, “alright bacon bits.”

maybe just one kiss would get it out of his system. he could stop thinking about you constantly and get over this little crush of his. but god kirishima would kill him. his only friend, yet he’s directly disobeying the one thing he said was a boundary.

todoroki is blunt about it, very straight to thr point but also gentle. he’d bring you flowers and show up at your house (assuming you’ve showed him before) or your dorm. he’d put together a small, yet meaningful speech about how he adores you and wants to be more than friends. he can’t help but have a small smile when you get all excited and say yes. sooooo cute.

bakugo has tried to do it multiple times but seemed to fail every chance he got. you’d think with all the romance manga he reads he would have an idea of what to do. but no. he doesn’t. it always starts with “hey shitty woman-” and then he either gets frustrated or flustered. but finally, he’ll spit it out and ask you to go out with him. “you’re not so shitty and annoying as everyone else.” he’ll say, hoping to get his point across. he’ll let out a very uncommon genuine small smile when you say yes.

izuku is a mess. he doesn’t know how to ask you, where to ask you, or what to get you. so izuku being izuku, he does his research. he gets you flowers, chocolates, and a piece of manga you’ve been raving about that he just so happened to notice. then he’d get all nervous and shy when asking you, rambling about how beautiful and kind and smart you are. but when you say yes he can’t help but sigh in relief. all the nerves leave and he’s now contently walking with you hand in hand to go get some ice cream.

kirishima is hiding his nervousness behind confidence as he walks up to you, flowers in hand, ready to ask you out. “you’re so manly and so pretty-” and the list goes on. if you think you’re not a blushing mess by the end of his rambles then you’re sorely mistaken. he’s such a sweetie and can’t help but shower you in compliment, similar to izuku. you have to stop him before he starts tripping over his words, “kiri, id love to go out with you.”

denki would try some shitty pickup line on you and ask to go out, not expecting you to say yes. but when you do? he’s ecstatic. he’s practically jumping up and down bragging to anyone and everyone about how he has a date with “the prettiest girl in ever”. and would not let it end. that is until bakugo threatens to blow the both of you up (even though you’re innocent (guilty by association)).

sero is very relaxed about it. he, unlike the others, picked up on the hints you were dropping for him. he was confident you’d say yes, so he doesn’t go all out and plan a speech or anything. he’d figure he’d save all that stuff for when it’s actually the date. so he just gets you flowers and a little trinket you’d like and asks if he can do the honor of taking you out. truly a gentleman and not too much either. he’s just a relaxed sweetheart.
