I wouldn't consider this a crossover as much as an inspired AU because autism brain drew parallels between the two narratives and I think it would be fun to explore the earlier years of the apocalypse, before the world is absolutely decimated (alongside many of the resources), before the fam loses Donnie and Raph, et cetera. Donnie watched as the credits rolled once more. It was his favorite movie. The real one. Not the one he told his brothers. This one was his, this one was special. Just like you.

He turned his head to the side to see you passed out. You could never stay awake when it got this late. You were kinda cute.

His hand went up, he wanted to brush your hair back. He wanted to skim his fingers along your cheeks. He wanted to touch you.

But he held back, his hand dropping in favor of closing the laptop. He didn’t want to wake you up. He settled back into the pillows that were piled up behind him.

This was enough, he thought as he placed the laptop on the bedside table. You here with him. Comfortable enough to sleep. You were kinda cute, and his heart jumped as if to nod along in agreement.

He got as close as he dared. Inching closer to your side. Your hand was above the covers. Maybe he could.. reach out.. touch there.. hold your hand. And as he reached out once more he felt his chest tighten.

Don’t.

It was a sudden thought. One that surprised him. One moment he had been building up the courage just to reach out and now his mind was telling him to do the opposite.

Move back. You’ll ruin this. Don’t do it.

He blinked as he watched you breathe in deeply, turning over closer to him. You had touched him. Knees coming up and knocking against his leg.

He swallowed.

That was all it took, his hand went out on its own accord. Brushing away your hair like how he had wanted. How he had wished to do.

He leaned down, kissing your forehead. Murmuring how much he loved you. His eyes closed once more, breathing in, before moving back.

And when his eyes opened you were no longer there. Not beside him.

You were there on the screen though. And the credits started to roll once more. His chest panged.

This was his favorite movie..

Whispers of Distant Souls - Ch.14 sneak peek (#1)

Blue’s and Purple’s faces immediately light up with a growing smile, holding each other’s hands in silent awe. Yellow’s, Red’s, and Orange’s faces drop in shock and awe as they stand silently watching Draxum rub his cheek. Splinter points and laughs where Leonardo left him, nudging Casey to look at the pained yokai.

“This is what I receive after stabilizing your mystic energy for over eight hours?” Draxum asks grouchy as he motions for Orange and Red to help him to his feet again.

“You didn’t tell me it would hurt, I felt like I was dying,” Leonardo answered sharply.

Draxum waves off Leonardo’s retort and says, “It is nothing you can’t handle.”

Raphael’s voice echoes, “Forgot he used to be an ass.”

Leonardo snorts in response, a smile crawling up his cheeks before he realizes how it might look to the others in the room.

Purple leans in Yellow’s direction to whisper aloud, “Oh my sweet gardenias, he’s lost it.”

*mischievous cackle* It has begun, bring in the wall!

But seriously, my mind is doing flips and tricks trying to keep up with all the people in this one room. It hasn’t been easy hahaha (that and I’m restraining myself from jumping to the “fun” part (restrain is actually code for stop making it angsty this is not the vibe you’re going for))

if you don’t mind, what do you think about The Dog Days are Over by Florence + The Machine?

OH MY GOD, I’ve loved this song with my whole being for so so so many years, a song that no matter the time of day, if it plays, I shall sing <3 in the car, in the shower, outside, inside, ANYWHERE!!!!!!!

My favorite part is when the clapping suddenly stops, it’s silent for a moment, and the music comes back full swing “RUN FAST FOR~~♪” yk??? Anyways when that parts comes on I imagine Rise Leo closing his eyes, taking a deep breath, and then opening them full of calm resolve. He’s decided to get serious, he’s decided this isn’t a game anymore, he’s decided he’s not fucking around.

Tbh it reallyyyyy reminds me of the scene where it’s just him and kraang one, all his brothers are down (in staten island?? lol) and he opens his eyes and he is moving so fast now that he’s a blur, running to meet kraang one, fighting to the death. He’s fighting for the world. He’s fighting for his family. For his brothers. He can’t keep up with the immature or childish act. He has to take responsibility.

Alternatively, taking the song quite literally, I can imagine Leo coming to a similar crossroads. Where he’s got to make a big decision, or be serious. He can’t hide behind his ‘playful’ act anymore. Those days are over and to keep his family safe he has to run away. Maybe something’s chasing him? Threatening his family, April and his brothers?

Idk but this song goes hard! My mom is a big fan of Florence + The Machine so this one was introduced to me pretty early on hehe. In summation THIS SONG IS AMAZING, and epic scenes should roll when it comes on, running away/running to/that look of finality when someone’s made a decision/action/drama ✨

Huge changes are coming to my Rise Ramblings…

Hey yooo!

So as the title suggests, there will be some major changes to the RiseStarKiss blog going forward.

The full explanation is below but I also included a TLDR version at the end of the post.

Instead of continuing to post my long form “Rise Ramblings” on Tumblr, I’ll be taking them to the small screen…In other words, my larger Rise Ramblings will be in video format from now on. I also want to go back and adapt my older/more popular Rise Ramblings to video as well.

And for that reason, I’m starting a YouTube Channel!

As a more detailed explanation, I’ve found that creating the long form posts on Tumblr just doesn’t allow for the freedom and flexibility that I need to fully express myself. Even in my older posts I had to leave so much content on the chopping block in order to facilitate readability.

But not anymore!

So, what is the plan?

Well for starters, my channel, RiseStarKissStudios, is now live.

Also, I plan on creating ONLY Rise of the TMNT content on this channel.

Why? Mainly because from what I’ve seen, usually when Rise is addressed by large channels it’s generally looked down upon. Other than that, Rise is ignored completely!

*tsk* So I’m going to give ROTTMNT the spotlight it deserves.

But I can’t do it alone…

Mystic Odyssey - Underworld, Thunder Saga

Yuichi and Dysseus are almost out of the hidden city, but they have one more challenge to face before they are free.

One day I will figure out how many scars they have and where they are.

The Thunder Sage helped me figure what their outfits should look like. I guess that's what happens when some new songs from your favorite WIP musical are released and you spend a whole week pacing around your room making turtle based music videos in your head. and thanks to that I have come up with a new outfit and a character also I've had the idea of Dysseus losing an arm to match Leo for awhile but thanks to coming up with a cool shot in my brain while listening to to Different Beast.

tbh I love their designs in this drawing they really look so cool for depressed little fucked up boys in their 30s

Also I got rid of the scar on Dysseus's Plastron I once again changed something thanks to making music videos in my head 👍🏽
