Let's assume there is a next season. Damián will be clearly part of it. What do you think, what explanation will they come up with for his absence in Andrés' life later on? I think, it must be part of the show since it would make good drama (betrayal maybe?). Though s4 can just be next romance with wife4...

I don't see why they couldn't use what they used for the rest of this season's group. Betrayal is a good one though, in line with Andres' belief that betrayal is inherent to love. OR Damian goes back together with his wife and gives up thievery with Andres in favor of spending time with ~the love of his life.

As for the next season being about wife #4 - it would make sense.

Although I wouldn't put it past the writing team to want to both keep the same theme (amor y robos) but also to turn it on its head, like--  Okay, this time it's a woman who pursues Andres. Ooooh enemies to lovers maybe? Anyway, it takes them a while to get there but just as soon as they do, she leaves, breaking Andres' heart so badly that he does something stupid, like returning what he's stolen (orrr cinematic ending - he is ready to give himself up, but the Woman (tm) returns out of nowhere and cleverly saves his life and it turns out it had been her plan all along *GASP*)
