I've been a bit slow about transferring all my TTRPG session writeups from Cohost to here for various reasons, but here's a doodle of my character I made on the map margins last session. Her name is REINA, she is a construction robot with a pilebunker in her right palm. She is very emotional and has bat ears.

We all hate DnD in the group so we're running a game called Armour Astir, which is a science fantasy giant mecha game. REINA can't pilot the mecha because her class is scout, but the other two players can.

okay i had this idea stuck in my head

the last part ended with this moment of like benjamin and ramon at odds

benjamin was out here trying to butter mayo up and have you dance with him and at the same time, ramon is sicking his dogs on you to keep you away from mayo

and if this wasn't the representation of your life, watching on the sidelines as like wtf while the boys make these decisions for you

and the idea that stuck in my head was just like what if in that moment you snapped

you had lived your who life being calm, agreeable and this, this just made you snap

so kitty is wrapping his arm around you, guiding you away from mayo who is measuring his next move and you just stop

"no, no, no dejame" you protests, shaking kitty off but when he comes off to grab you by the elbow that's when you truly fucking pop off

"no me escuchastes? get the fuck out of my way, en serio. i'm an arellano-felix just as much as my brothers are dont fucking forget it"

the fucking look on literally everyone's faces when you reminded people who's fucking twin you were

kitty lowering his glasses, giving ramon this look before turing to you with a little like damn girl smirk "orale, perdoname patrona"

i swear dina is in the background with this big ol fucking smile on her face

and you kinda turning around to mayo who is standing there with arms crossed shaking his head in lowkey amazement

"pues, mi princesa, por lo menos ya se quien realmente manda aqui" he teases as he reaches out to you with this little teasing look

you reaching out to grab his hand, him pulling you into him with much less hesitancy now and slinging his arm around your waist as he leads you to go dance

i just pout of getting to the dance floor and he bring you up against him gently, slow dancing to luis miguel and you just kinda melting into him

i'm screaming, head pressed against him and him leaning down to whisper something like "i could get used to this" or or something about like "quizas puedo dejar de ser mi propio patron, solo si tu eres la patrona"

i will never and i mean never get over the thought of mayo calling you his patrona because he will always defer to you

when they stopped the music to transition to the speeches and stuff, you and mayo being the last ones on the dance floor and you being pulled away by one of your sister

"ahorita te la regreso" she'd tease mayo and i just the logging looks you give each others please kill me

okay but then we get to that fucking moment in the speeches, where the poor fucking soul from the sinaloa cartel who was like "and a toast to the eight inches she'll be swallowing" or some shit like that

but could you picture if he added something about baby arellano too if he added something about "and i have some inches the youngest can choke on, don't worry nena"

i'm screeching at the idea of mayo slamming his fucking fist down on the table and standing to like death glare this man almost just almost as fast as ramon gets up to fucking take care of it

dina and benjamin escorting you to go sit down, mayo i just :(( coming over to you and reaching his hand out to caress your face making sure you're okay

thumb going softly across your cheek and he's searching your face "ay, nos encargamos de esto, no te preocupas, reina"

and him winking at you before turning and just casually walking out the door not far behind ramon and his juniors

why do i have this idea of mayo being the kind of man that would want to bring you out and have this piece of shit apologize to you

like holding this guys head up, blowing smoke in his face and being like "pidale perdon, mas bien ruega que te perdona porque yo no"

thinking bout hasegawa's relationship with his mother (hasemama if you will)/ his parents generally

SECRET LOGS SPOILERS BTW GO READ THEM NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T

in the prologue we get the impression that hasemama's one of those obnoxious overbearing tiktok moms. it's not all too surprising when we get to the interview and hear that hasegawa only spends his prize money on bills and stuff for her.

in the killing game she's mentioned vaguely in people waiting at home who would go looking for him and within her role in how reina died (there's gotta be some feelings of guilt in there, and maybe part of the reason she's so overbearing. but like we don't know how old mao was if ken was 6, this could be worse for hasemama than we thought). overall in line with how he would view her, since this is all info coming from him

but then we get onto the secret logs, and things get weird. hasegawa's dad is seemingly still quite a presence in his life, despite him never being mentioned by hasegawa. unless something drastic happened between the month (ish) of surveillance and the initial kidnapping, this is strange. stranger yet is that hasemama is mentioned less than hasefather within the logs. there's plenty of interactions between him and mao, matching up with him calling them close. i went through, and there are five days in which he does something with his da, with mao's there 8 times and hasemama's only got two. it could be that interactions with his father are more notable because they entail hasegawa leaving the house and his interactions with hasemama are so common that they need no note, but like then again we've got mao. plus the logs are so invasive and specific normally, why is kuneyasu (at least that's who i think is doing the logs) choosing now to hold back?

ok but leading off that is it just me or is kuneyasu like way nicer about hasegawa in his log compared to the others?

So reader is working from home for the day and Pedro has the day off. Throughout the course of the day (when he pops in to check on or bring drinks/food) he notices them getting stressed cos they have deadlines to meet. He decides he wants to do something about it, something for reader to enjoy and forget about the stress of work.

Reader logs off for the day and heads downstairs to find a romantic date night setup with Pedro cooking a full 3 course meal and wine - i’ll let you decide where it goes after that!

Javi didn't like seeing you so stressed out like that. There were so many things you could be doing - things you could be doing with him and yet you were trapped in your room, stressing yourself out with work 

You didn't need to work, Javi's…. Business was extremely profitable and he could offer you a lifetime of living like a queen but he admired your strength and your passion for work 

However, you could be swimming with him, or joined him for a walk on the beach, a movie marathon or a boat ride where he'd take you to your favorite restaurant by the shore 

Javi always made sure to check on you every couple of hours, he brought you drinks, some snacks and some dessert too 

He couldn't help but linger around you like a puppy, always waiting for you to be done and give him some attention

You could swear that even the way his curls bounced reminded you of fluffy dog fur 

It just made you want to run your fingers through it and spend the whole afternoon playing with his hair 

But you had to work and you needed to focus, though it was making you more and more annoyed at every passing minute 

"FUCK!" Javi heard you cursing out loud and widened his sweet eyes, seeing you needed some relaxing time, so he had an idea, grabbing his phone 

Another two hours go by until you are finally able to go downstairs, your body hurts from being in one position most of the day and also because of your tension, so you're thinking of maybe finding your boyfriend and getting into the jacuzzi

But he's nowhere to be found 

Until your phone buzzes and a text tells you to go to the balcony, you frown but you go anyway, curious to see what Javi had planned out for you 

And when you get there, you find a gorgeous table set especially for you. Javi had a big smile as he watched your surprise face 

"What's this Javi?" You gasped as you noticed all your favorites beautifully organized. He walked towards you and took your hand, kissing it in a dramatic way, just like he'd seen a million times in several movies "I just wanted you to relax after working so much" he smiled "it means a lot you're relax, mi reina" 

Your heart melted at how thoughtful he was, you took a step closer and pecked his lips gently, feeling so lucky to have him in your life 

You went to sit down and have dinner with Javi, but he shook his head, giving you the saddest eyes a human being could ever have and you had no other option than sit on his lap and have dinner as humanly close to him as possible 

After dinner, you and Javi killed a bottle of expensive wine and walked under the moonlight 

He said he loved you and you told him you loved him too 

And you went to bed being even more sure that some things were more important than work and love was definitely one of them

What is your favourite time of year and why? (Season, holiday, general period) My wardrobe is minmaxed for warm weather, I hate layers and I like having my window open, and having hours and hours of daylight. So summer.

What is your IRL occupation? IT.

Some interests and things you like/enjoy? Pixel art and cross-stitch, card games, social deduction games, doctor who, long walks.

How did you get into Fire Emblem? At the time feh was released I was just playing every nintendo mobile game that came out. I thought the characters were cute and I found a second-hand copy of birthright sometime later. I then had to wait until Christmas to play it cause my brother's 3DS was broken.

Who was the first character ever to make you go “ooh I like this one in particular” and why? Can be any context and reason! I liked M!Robin's art in heroes and he was the first 5* I summoned. Also I fell in love with Kaden the instant I met him cause he's cute (unfortunately my Corrin was already married)

Any Fire Emblem crushes? Like so many. For brevity I'll give the biggest one from each game: Wolf, Sonya, Arvis, Karel (FE7), Joshua/Cormag, Nasir, Reina, Jeritza, Zelkov. Who was your first TOA muse? If you no longer have them, can you see yourself picking them up again? I had Larcei for over a year and honestly I'm really happy with what I did with her (even if rereading her stuff makes me cringe). So as much as I love her I have no strong reason to pick her up... apart from that swordmaster drabble I never got around to.

Do you believe you have a type of character you gravitate towards writing? (If you filled this out last year, has this changed in any way?) There's overlap between the 'old' and 'new' gens of my muses. There's a hotheaded sword girl, a mage with issues :tm: and a cute blond guy. I think I have an easier time writing characters that have a positive outlook, and say what they mean.

Do you have characters or types of characters you don’t think you can handle writing, but wish you could? Idk really. I don't think I'm that good at writing sad shit, so muses that have heavier stuff going on I'd struggle with.

What kind of scenes, situations etc do you believe you enjoy writing the most? (If you filled this out last year, has this changed in any way?) I like being a little silly. Some of my favourite posts have been where I've just thought up some nonsense, and allowed myself to write it.

Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? I want Forde to be obliterated emotionally. I do not care if these emotions are positive or negative.

Favourite TOA-related memories? SO many this group is awesome. I loved coming back after some time off and seeing what muses were still around. There's one in particular that Larcei and Forde are both close friends with and it cheeses me so much. Anyway happyland was my favourite event ever thank you mods.

I like to imagine that Rika is secretly just smoldering with rage at wearing the Angel Mort uniform. How much you want to bet that for sure is one of the pieces of merch you can buy for this series? A Rika Furude figure in the Angel Mort costume. *one discreet googling later* Wowee, I'm a prophet, although let's be honest are you really that surprised by the outcome?

And so, the dessert eating competition begins. Also the POV switches to Rena's perspective.

The individual lines were displayed pink, but in the log they turn back into the uniform gray.

Let's not be too hasty visual novel, there's still basically three entries to go.

So, as you can tell obviously things are going to be getting really heavy here shortly. Shortly being relative.

Initially when I read that line thought it was a pretty stupid line. But thinking about it I can understand what she means. I don't agree that you'll feel the happiness when you're at your lowest, but I can agree that having happy memories to fall back on can certainly help to drag you out of the thickest of it when you're going through rough times. It can really help to keep your mind afloat and not just sink into the ocean of despair. I don't think she'll be thinking these happy thoughts when she's in the middle of killing the hell out of whoever in this chapter, but hey.

When I read the name Rina I couldn't shake the feeling that that's a name that was mentioned earlier on. Then I remembered, Rina was the name of the woman who was found murdered at the very start of Tatarigoroshi, Teppei Houjou's lover. Which made me start trying to remember the stuff about Rena from before she moved to back to Hinamizawa for some reason. I can't quite remember, but didn't Rena transfer to a school in Tokyo? Then she lost her marbles, smashed up her class and classmates before transferring back? Or has the location not been mentioned other than "she transferred there, and back?" And I'm just entirely making up that she went to Tokyo?

Rena knowing Rina did make a couple of other thoughts pop up. 1: Why does Rena seem to know, and have a relationship with Satoko's uncles lover? 2: Is this why Rena acted so over-protective of Satoko in chapter three? Because she somehow is deeper connected to Satoko's situation than everyone else is aware of? 3: why does Rena go by Rena and not Reina? I'm positive all of these questions will be answered in short order, but they just occurred as I got to this part of the chapter.

Clearly the two know each other a lot more closely than has been established (in this the first meeting we're shown) since Rena mentions Rina's perfume and her don't gel well.

I seem to recall in Tatarigoroshi they mentioned that Rina worked at the Blue Mermaid (also I might be misremembering, but I seem to recall her work being prostitution), but only as a base employee, not a manager. I seem to remember an offhand mention in either a TIP or some characters just talking about whatever that Teppei was fundamentally her pimp. So going by this business card is Rina basically the assistant pimp? Keep the other girls in line for Teppei when he's not around? Because I doubt this chapter is going to be a particularly happy one, despite the mentions of watching the clowns dance and caper.

Hello Rotomblr! I’m Professor Reina Maple, and this blog is a joint account between myself and my wife, Professor Mari Cedar. It will mostly be me posting on here, however, as Mari doesn’t particularly care for social media. We’re based in Nacrene City of the Unova region, and have a lab just outside of the city, in the outskirts of Pinwheel Forest. Feel free to ask us any questions you may have!

Our daughter Vivi convinced us (me) that making an account here would help with networking. She logs her adventures here and has gotten some rather useful information from people. Her username is @vivid-mandrake I believe?

I’ll do personal introductions here, and then talk about our teams below the cut!

As mentioned above, my name is Reina Kondo Maple, and I am an immigrant to Unova from Johto. I grew up in Azalea Town, where my family lived for… quite a few generations. I have a sister who lives there still. My research focuses on the ways that pokemon adapt to different climates, status conditions, and other external factors. My Trainer Card is attached below. Also, Vivi told me about ‘signatures’ that people often do with emojis, so I will use “🍁” to signify that it is me speaking and not Mari.

Uhhh Reina says I’ve gotta introduce myself? For the rotumble or whatever she’s doing? So I’m Mari Cedar, and I’m Unovan, born ‘n raised. I grew up in Nacrene City and took a liking to the native pokemon, so I’ve been researching pokemon migration patterns and how they can affect local wildlife. I also much prefer learning about pokemon in a hands-on way out in the field, so I let Reina do most of the lab work. I also study pokemon behavior fairly extensively, and my pet project is a rewrite of the pokedex given to kids when they start their journey. I hope to travel and work on this more extensively in the future. Also, according to Vivi, my passion about inaccurate pokedex entries has done numbers on here? Anyhow, I’ll sign off with -🌊 whenever i have time to be on the account. Here’s my Trainer Card.

🍁’s Pokemon:

My starter is a Slowking named Daryl. I caught him in the Slowpoke Well when I was 10, and he’s been my closest companion ever since. He is very intelligent and checks behind me in the lab to make sure that I don’t mess anything up. He understands spoken Johtoan and Unovan, and can communicate telepathically in Johtoan. I’m currently teaching him how to write so that he can help check my numbers and records as well. He gives surprisingly good life advice.

One of the first pokemon that I caught back when I was on my journey was Jenna the Bellossom. She’s very sweet and laid-back. She spends most of her time relaxing in the garden and coming up with new dance routines. When we need her to help with lab work, though, she’s able to put wild pokemon to sleep so that we can transport them or get away from them with minimal harm.

The last of my original teammates is Edward the Espeon. I received him from the kind daycare couple when he was an Eevee. Apparently some trainer had left him there and never picked him back up. Despite that, he’s a very kind and affectionate pokemon. He used to be trouble, but he’s settled down some with age. He isn’t trained or registered as a service pokemon, but he helps quite a bit with my anxiety problems. He is also bonded with Mari’s Cincinno, and they’re an adorable couple.

My last pokemon that I have presently is Nokoribi the Ninetales. She has been in the Kondo family for the past 357 years, and was given to me when my mother passed away. Despite the reputation that Ninetales have of being majestic and wise, Nokoribi is much more like a young Growlithe. One of her favorite activities is trying to eat plastic. She does have her majestic moments from time to time though.

🌊’s Pokemon:

My starter’s a Seismitoad named Foggy. I caught him right outside of town when he was a Tympole. He’s a more stoic sort of ‘mon, but it’s just because he shows his affection differently. He ‘works’ as a security guard around the lab, making sure wild pokemon don’t set up shop too close by.

Pretty soon after I caught Foggy, I met Missy the Cincinno. She’s a real stickler for cleanliness and has always made sure I keep myself straight (heh). Now, she’s in charge of storage and tidiness in the lab spaces, and she couldn’t be happier with that job. She can be sorta overbearing when you do something ‘wrong,’ but it comes from a good place. She’s bonded with Reina’s Espeon, Edward, and they’re one of the cutest couples you’ll ever see. They balance each other out.

Back between my seventh and eighth gym badge, my father got me Seashell the Floatzel while he was on some business trip in Sinnoh. I’m not the biggest fan of her origins (and don’t ask me about them), but she’s an important part of my team. She’s a very laid-back sort of pokemon, but when she has a job to do, she takes it very seriously. She used to do scout work for me and Helena, but now she just makes sure that the populations we’re studying aren’t going to become hostile. From what I hear, the Pinwheel Rangers are big fans of hers, and she works with them when she gets bored.

More recently, I took Evergreen the Haxorus (Fraxure back then) off the hands of a shelter that couldn’t take care of her. She broke one of her tusks as a Fraxure, which caused a lot of behavioral issues and hostility. But, after a few years of TLC, she’s nearly as relaxed as Seashell. She helps with ‘security’ alongside Foggy, or whenever he’s off doing something else. She also made a surprisingly good babysitter when Vivi was younger.

It had been a couple years since Reina and her team were given four kids to care and protect and right now it was in short chaos. The twins were running around trying to be helpful. Grabted that wasnt going well.

Donnie had tried to help clean peoples houses using his bubblefoam. He forgot to wash it away causing people to slip all over the place. The poor tot very confused on why that was happening.

Leo was trying to help the fishers try and bring their catches up. It wasnt going well because one of the older fishers kept tossing him away fearing he was trying to eat the catches, never mind he wasnt a orimarly fish eating species.

Amya was in charge of talking to Donnie about the fact he missed a step in cleaning. Reina was trying her best to not break the fisher's nose as she...debated with him. Chiaki was cleaning up a scrape on Leo's knee. Kaiyo was with Raph and Mikey who were eating some Bunny Dango.

"Some people! He was just trying to help" Reina huffed after she finished her 'conversation' "does he know the habits of an Ivory Lagiacrus or Red eared sliders? No! Thank fuck for the Felynes." The green haired woman sighed.

"Cant teach people unwilling to learn. Hey Leo wanna go help Iori with the Buddies?" He looked at leo who looked up and gave some very happy chirps in agreements. Leo and Donnie didnt talk when they were too stressed sticking to turtle sounds or their levithan sounds. It was adorable really. Chiaki started taking Leo to see Iori to go and help.

"Ok is that the last of it in this house?" Amya asked Donnie.

"Yeah sorry I didnt realize my bubblefoam needed to be washed away like that." Donnie gave a sad chirp after that.

"Yeah its like super slippery soap and soap needs to be washed away after its used." She explained to Donnie.

"That makes sense Ill keep that in mind next time...if people let me help..."

"Im sure they well look at how clean this is!" She motioned to the blacksmith area theyd finished cleaning. It looked brand new pretty much.

"I have to agree" the gruff voice of Hammon spoke causing the two to jump and turn to the old man and his curent aprentice. "Donnie's welcome at any point so long as he remebers to use water next time. Hes lucky we noticed before stepping in."

"Sorry Hammon" Donnie sighed

"Its not a problem kid no one got hurt." Hammon bent doen and used one finger to rub the hybrids head.

"Hey Raph Kiddo youve barely touched your food something the matter?" Kaiyo asked him

"Wanna do stuff to help but dunno what." Raph slumped a bit. "Claws keep accidently ripping things."

"That is a problem I think I can help with." Kaiyo stated before calling to Riena. "Hey Rei can you watch Mikey? Im gonna go help Raph with something."

"Of course." Reina went over to Mikey. The little elder dragon hybrid chirped happily.

"Alright lets go help you with your claw problem!" Kaiyo picked raph up and took him to the crafts area where they were making various clothes and other things.

Leo got curious about a random small log he and Amya had found on the way to see Iroi and the Buddies. He was humming as he looked at it and started digging into it.

"What cha doing bud?" He looked up at Amya

"Mama Reina has a lotta wood statues so I thoiught I could make her one too!"

"Alright but theres safer ways to do that. Well go check em out after we see Iori ok?"

"Ok!"

Mean while Mikey had finished his meal and was...bored. so he wandered with Reina following. Eventually wandering into the crafts area himself and Reina got stopped by someone. Which Mikey continued on oblivious his mom was being stalled by a very persistent villager.

Eventually he came acrosd a unused thing og paints and a peice of leather. Curious he tilted his head and forwned usually leather like this was colored in the craftd area. So he dipped his hands into the paint and started splattering it on the leather.

It took about 5 minutes before Reina found him again, looking mildly paniced. She internally screamed as someone was watching Mikey splatter leather with paint and he was clearly trying to make something but he was an itty bitty thing trying to do that, their turtle genetics were currently very strong when it came to the kids sizes.

"Mikey?" The little hybrid jumped and turned to her. "Hi mama!"

"Mikey did you ask to help paint the leather?" She asked. By the look on his face ge did not.

"Its fine this time deary." The lady who was watching spoke. "I was having difficulties making a design any ways. Though next time you shoukd ask." She smiled Kindly at Mikey.

"How is this gonna help" raph blinked as he was given a bunch of wool yarn.

"Simple itll help you learn fine control over your fingers. How much presure to use how quick they move all the things you need tk learn." Kaiyo didnt list all the things but he's sure Raph got it. "Sewing will help you learn too but lests start with something that has bigger things for you to hold."

"Ok" Raph nodded and grabbed the knitting needles. Kaiyo nodded to the other person across from them. They began to show Raph how to knit.

In the science cave. The woman was standing looking at a large orb. It was slowly getting more mutagen into it. The blood of a mutch larger hybrid monster being drained. The corpeses of many of the previous hybrids infront of it as food...not that the eoman cared if it servived beyond it producing the mutagen in its blood.

"Its going to take me years before I get more of this stuff" she mused. "Good thing I have that time. I can make more plans in the mean time."
