One of the things I just love so much about the Smallville fandom is that we've all just agreed that regardless of who you're pairing him with, Lex Luthor is a fucking Sex God.

It's particularly interesting because the show barely gives us ANYTHING to support this. We have one (1) Lex sex scene, plus one deleted scene, and while they're both hot, they're not at all spectacular. Zero characters, including Lex himself, discuss his sexual prowess (or lack thereof). And yet somehow, every single fic I've read (and written!) paints him as absolute dynamite in the sack.

Don't get me wrong: I'm not disagreeing or complaining about this! I fully support Sex God Lex Luthor (as evidenced by my inclusion of my own writing). I just find it SO interesting that we've collectively decided it. I feel like it's a competency kink sort of thing: Lex is shown to be someone who is generally very successful at everything he puts his mind to, so it does track that he'd be good at sex too. I don't know what, if anything, the comics have to say about his skills, so I can't draw any conclusions from that side of things.

I just adore the fact that we all looked at Lex Luthor in Smallville canon and went "yup, that guy FUCKS."

for those curious abt progress on Devil's Moon, I've added 5k to chapter 1 (bc im adding a new Deal and Occupation wheeeee) and 15k to Chapter 2 so far ...... I probs need another 5~7k before I'm fully finished with Chapter 2 (!!!!!). Scary to think about ....... I wanna draft it all before I code it. I wanna finish before Feb 1st so baaaddd

(also not gonna put out the CSS version until ch2 is done, ive decided. its just too time consuming rn and im more in a mood to write new story than learn new code)

fav new things ive written so far is a call with flynn (i got heebie jeebies re-reading so thats a good sign ???), one of Marius' flirty scenes and the backstory stuff for the new Deal

Just applied for a summer childcare position (like for a camp type thing) that pays 20–28 dollars an hour based on qualifications (I should be towards the end of that scale because I work in a school; and the only requirement the job lists is to be 16 and have experience with children). So hopefully they’ll consider me. That would be wonderful.

happy 5am I have 10 drawings I never did from my OcTober list, and I know I kinda uhh silently abandoned the project but I didn't mean to let it go this long without mentioning it haha

I've been getting back into drawing so hopefully I'll have some out sooner than later, I just can't, and won't, say any dates cuz I don't wanna say something then not follow it (again), but yeah just. I didn't forget nor did I mean to abandon it lol
