They need your help to get through this. How the situation last turned out was not ideal, particularly on social media. They were elated to see you or hear from you, but fell into a kind of inertia. Perhaps they ignore you, ghosted you, or simply didn’t realize how much you care about them. 

Now they feel none the wiser, in fact, figuratively caught between chairs. There could be a third person involved and you don’t know a thing about them. They got away with not telling you at all after they departed. They met up with the other woman/man and had a good time, even. Now they’re bogged down, though, as the good mood was short-lived. They don’t want to admit that they feel guilty. Wanting to suppress it and drink it away is a topic here.

Emotionally, they’re not apologetic as they are too busy figuring this dilemma out in their head. Clueless is what I’m hearing. In an extreme scenario: To cheat or not to cheat, even. Until now, it’s all in limbo, they just didn’t inform you. Couldn’t inform you! They’re too confused and in a daze. As of recently, they don’t know what to do, and they could use a hint to tip their scales because they can’t handle this on their own. However, this situation is fleeting, and most of it goes down in their head rather than reality. They just need to choose wisely.

a report on the state and availability of (mostly dollars trilogy) cowboy novels since i started setting ebay alerts in 2019, prompted by an amazon listing for the Return of Sabata novelization that seemed a little too good to be true:

the novelizations of A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More; The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: widely available in paperback at many price points and conditions on ebay and on libgen

A Coffin Full of Dollars (Millard): widely available on libgen and other sites, frequently available on ebay at many price points north of $20

A Dollar to Die For (Fox): somewhat mercurial existence on libgen, the current epub does NOT have the correct paragraph spacing and is missing chapters 12 & 13, very very scarce on ebay

The Devil's Dollar Sign (Millard): NOT on libgen but IS on the internet archive, frequently available on ebay but usually north of $30

The Million-Dollar Bloodhunt (Millard): almost never under $40 on ebay, i don't think this one has ever been digitized

Blood For A Dirty Dollar (Millard): very very rarely under $40 on ebay, i don't think this one has ever been digitized either

oh my god i forgot about the mid-aughts comics: The Man With No Name and The Good The Bad and The Ugly. they're not very good. they exist digitally bc i pirated most of them in 2019 but i cannot easily find digital versions today. they're like ten bucks tho

if you wanted to read all eight novels tonight, you cannot and you're simply fucked, at least not without coughing up $80-100 USD for semi-readable copies for the two that were never digitized. you may ask yourself and also me; are these good? to which i answer, you can't possibly be in the spaghetti fandom to engage with perfect art.

Sabata: this has become much much much more widely available since i found my copy in 2022, when it was an absolute nightmare to find. many price points on abebooks, never digitized.

Return of Sabata: i've had an ebay alert for this book for two years and i think exactly one sixty-dollar copy has popped up, doesn't seem to be digitized either

Red River: on the internet archive, the novelization seems to be different from the original story in the Saturday Evening Post but i don't care to subscribe to their online archives to check

Johnny Guitar: i resorted to INTERLIBRARY LOAN and then OCR'ing it with my iphone, typesetting the fucking thing myself, and creating an epub from SCRATCH. in the process of writing this post i discovered an "acceptable" copy on ebay for $2 which is fucking infuriating

Gunpla #9 - HG Aerial/Lfrith

It's her! It's John Gundam from the hit series Gundam!

You won't be shocked to learn that Witch From Mercury was what originally drew me in to both Gundam and Gunpla. So unsurprisingly Aerial and Lfrith were some of my first builds. The red eyes on the Aerial are a bit menacing, I'd probably recommend the green over them.

Both were one of my earlier experiments with panel lining. I think I'm less disappointed with it now that I'm looking at it again but it felt like a real botched job at the time. It's a pretty complex design up close, and I was just applying panel lines wherever I thought they'd fit. less is more.

The bits forming a shield is a cool gimmick, but the individual bit designs are a little meh. If you don't have the flashy blue trails like the anime, they look a little underwhelming compared to Nu's funnels. You can totally make that effect in real life though, and some of the Aerial customs I've seen online have been absolutely fantastic!

Holding out for a RG of one of these - or the Calibarn. If I had to choose one though it'd have to be the Calibarn.

As for the Aerial's pilot; Suletta is an absolute delight, and probably one of my favourite anime protagonists ever. I'd buy twenty more of these if it meant Bandai greenlights a sequel series. (and if they promised to kick the 'up to interpretation' shit to the curb).

Mercury (☿): How did you discover yandere/obsessive love/etc. community? What has your experience of having a yandere blog been like?

Discovered the communities like 3 years ago. First intro was rough, but that was Instagram. Here on Tumblr it's really nice actually <3

Venus (♀︎): What is your relationship with your darling(s)? What initially drew you to them? Were your feelings sudden or gradual?

We're engaged. What drew me in was her interest in comics, not common to find a girl into comics. And the feelings were in a matter of like a day or two. No matter how rough we are together, I love her dearly and to death

Mars (♂︎): How do you deal with "rivals" or those that wish to covet your beloved, if at all?

Luckily I don't have rivals, but that doesn't mean there's people around I wish weren't around. But I don't do anything, I just want her happy.

Jupiter (♃): What nicknames or terms of endearment do you enjoy using for your darling, if any? What pet names do you like for yourself?

She has a special one, Little Doe. She loves deer and eats like a woodland creature. I also call her love, my love, darling, hon, honey, sweetie, sweetheart, all of those. And I like the same basic ones as I use for her.

Saturn (♄): What sets off your obsessive and/or possessive feelings?

Her spending time with her online friend and gaming with him. Sucks, but I don't want her unhappy. That's the biggest thing. When she's gone by choice, like streaming and such.

Uranus (♅): How do you personally define "yandere" as it relates to you?

Hard question, idk

Neptune (♆): Would you say you are more dominant or submissive to your darling? Also, god complex or inferiority complex?

Definitely submissive and I do stuffer with an inferiority complex (and a saviour complex)

Pluto (♇): Have you always had obsessive/possessive inclinations or did you develop them from your current darling? When did you to realise you were a yandere?

Always had them. Mainly came from my bpd, ocd and cptsd. Bad and traumatizing relationships, bad life, all that. I realized about being a yan in 2021.

Whumptober Day 12: Rumor Has It

Written for the Whumptober Day 12 prompt: Red

There’s something wrong with Mementos today. 

Akira can’t really explain it. Everything seems sharper. The reds are redder, the lights are pulsing harder, and the entire place feels like it’s about to pounce on them.

…Maybe he’s been spending too much time with Fox.

“Is something going on today?” he asks.

“I don’t think so,” Queen says. “No one’s been complaining about allergies or anything.”

“Only buzz I’ve seen online are like, spooky season stuff,” Oracle says. “You know, lots of rumors about ghosts and weird stuff.”

“I’ve heard a lot of those too,” Panther says, “I dunno if that’d really affect Mementos though.”

“You’re the leader Joker,” Morgana says. “If you say something’s off, we can go.”

Akira thinks. It could very well just be his nerves, and these requests are pretty urgent. Then again, it’s not good to take too many risks when it comes to Mementos. The Metaverse is as mercurial as the populace that formed it, who knows what could affect it.

“Let’s spend some time scoping our floors with weaker shadows,” he says. “That should tell us if there’s something we should be worried about.”

They pack up into the Mona van, and a few shadows in he’s convinced the bad feeling was just nerves. The shadows are acting completely normal, and the team takes them down easily.

He’s about to decide they should go back when one group of shadows they run into includes a shadow he’s never seen before.

“Oracle, what is that?” he asks.

“Uh, it looks like a Lilim?” Oracle says.

“But… it’s green,” Fox says.

“That’s what you focus on? Not the weird bat head?” Panther sighs.

“Whatever, let’s just ask,” Joker says. He pulls out his gun and shoots at the weird Lilim, but it isn’t knocked down. “Not weak to that anymore?” Joker mutters. 

“I’m on it!” Morgana says, casting Garula on the shadow, but that doesn’t knock it down either.

“Would it kill these things to be consistent?” Skull mutters. 

Suddenly, the Lilim casts a spell Joker doesn’t recognize and… explodes into smoke?

“Did it just knock itself out?” Noir asks. 

“But it didn’t even do anything,” Queen says. “That’s weird, why—”

Suddenly Queen’s hit with a psiodyne.

That Akira cast.

“Joker?! What are you doing?” Noir gasps, and Akira wants to say he doesn’t know. 

He’s felt the power of dozens of Personas flow through him before, but this feels wrong. Something has forced his way into his body and is making him move.

“Is he brainwashed?” Queen coughs, still dizzy from his hit.

No, he isn’t. Being brainwashed feels terrible in its own right, but that’s in hindsight. That’s in realizing that what you thought you were doing wasn’t what was actually going on. But you’re not aware of it at the time.

This is a front row seat to someone else using his body, forcing his lips to curl as he attacks his friends, forcing him to call upon the multitude of selves within him and fire off attack after attack.

In short: it’s violating. He’s never felt so powerless.

Something forces itself through him, a spell he doesn’t know currently, and suddenly a Garula heads straight for Skull, though Mona pushes him out of the way.

“It’s the Lilim!” Oracle says. “It’s possessing him or something!”

“How do we fix it?” Haru gasps, “Amrita drop isn’t working!”

“Neither is Me Patra!” Mona says.

“Then we’ll just have to knock him out,” Queen says, pulling herself up.

Please, please knock me out, Akira thinks.

“Panther, go for Agidyne!” 

Kumbhanda is forced out of Akira to take the hit, and Haru hits him with her own Psio skill.

Despite not being in control, he feels every bit of pain and is so thankful when it overwhelms him and he succumbs to darkness.

“Recarm!”

Akira sits up immediately and breathes a sigh of relief that he’s in control of his own body again. “Thank goodness,” he says. “Queen, are you alright?”

“None the worse for wear,” she says. “You?”

“I feel like I need a shower. Or an exorcism, or both,” Akira says. “Either way, let’s get out of here.”

Everyone nods in agreement. Ann takes the wheel since neither Akira or Makoto are really in a state to drive, and they can’t get out of there soon enough.

Akira shudders at the thought of what just happened. He doesn’t think he’ll be able to sleep tonight.
