Moon checked his audio receptors. Surely he was hearing incorrectly, right…? He’d never imagine he’d be that cruel to anyone. Well, it wasn’t him—but it was a different version, and that, at least to Moon, was close enough.

Truly, he didn’t know what he expected when he accepted the offer to spread his services out of his own dimension by—who was it? Pastry? He couldn’t remember.

All that matters is that he was in way over his head. He had no idea how to help these… clones, of him and his brother. And whoever Topaz is.

Could he even help anyone?

Everything he heard was far too overwhelming to his processors. He was… oh, what’s the term… overstimulated. Perhaps faking a degree and saying you could help people wasn’t the best idea.

He couldn’t cry. Not really. He could mimic tears, though! And that’s what he was doing right now, his head in his hands.

He couldn’t help anyone.

He stood, approached his “degree,” and opened the container it was held in with shaky hands… right before ripping it apart.
