i love love love to think that it was actually maru who had a crush on her first, when they were still teenagers, like sixteen/seventeen? and she's like kept it all the way through their adolescence and adulthood too. penny didn't realise she loved maru until way way way later, at which point it had become such a huge thing

10. What are some non-sexual activities they do together? 

picnics! neither of them are good at cooking but they are slowly learning together, so they have picnics every once in a while just to get a break from both their hectic lives. it's just a cute little thing they love to do. also, they love just watching movies together and cuddling under a blanket. maru is huge on physical contact and penny is all too happy to get to cuddle her for two hours

40. Who makes the other smile with almost no effort at all?

both of them obviously, but for the most part it's maru. like this absolute colossal robotics nerd could be talking about absolutely ANYTHING and penny will just be watching her with the biggest smile. she's so smitten and tbh i would be too. she could listen to maru talk all day

The Last Of Us ep 2 was a masterpiece, right? Amazing set design, actors killed it, KILLER prosthetic makeup, all in all wonderful. But atop all of that, the cinematography, right? They use it as a story element so well so I’m going to just ramble abt it for a second

The scene where Joel and Tess have Ellie cornered with the gun, her in the spot of light and then in the darkness. This symbolizes that she is the light, the hope, and they are in disbelief and therefore disregarding their hopes.

Then, Tess steps into the light to go beside Ellie. We then have a side shot of Ellie in the light, Joel shrouded in darkness, and Tess acting as a mediator kneeling in the center. She has to physically choose a side; light or darkness?

She chooses Ellie, chooses to believe in hope and a bright future. And Joel stays in the darkness.
