That joy which is everlasting is the real joy. Fleeting moments of joy have no meaning. In the life of this world, man is forgetful of this fact. But in the Hereafter, it will become abundantly clear to him. Truth manifests itself to a man in this world, but he does not want to disturb his status quo, so he does not accept it. He is not prepared to forego the already available present gain for the sake of any promised future gain. The comforts and the considerations of this world appear valuable to him and he is unable to understand why he should ignore them all and attach himself to a ‘non-thing,’ or abstract promise.

Allah calls Himself Al-Musta’aan— The One whose help is sought— on two occasions in the Quran. Al-Musta’aan is the one whose assistance and support are sought and in whom refuge is taken. Any help the creation provides to each other, is through His help alone!
 The One sought for help
Musta’aan comes from the root ‘ayn-waaw-noon which points  to two main meanings. The first main meaning is to seek or ask for help and assistance and the second is to aid, cooperate and help one another. A third meaning is to be middle-aged.
This root appears 11 times in the Quran in five derived forms. Examples of these forms are wa a’aanahu (“and helped him”), ta’aawanoo (“help one another”), nasta’eenu “(we ask for help”) and ‘awaanun (“middle-aged”).
Linguistically, isti’aanah refers to the concept of seeking help. It comes from the same root as nasta’een— we seek help— ta’aawun –help one another- and musta’aan – the one whose help is sought. Allah is Al-Musta’aan, which means that not only He is the Helper (An-Naseer), but He is the only one whose help first and foremost should be sought. He is the One who knows, sees, hears and controls all affairs and therefore His help is perfect at all times.
Al-Musta’aan Himself says: . . .And they brought upon his shirt false blood. [Jacob] said, Rather, your souls have enticed you to something, so patience is most fitting. And Allah is the one sought for help against that which you describe [Quran, 12:18] and . . . [The Prophet] has said, My Lord, judge [between us] in truth. And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the one whose help is sought against that which you describe. [Quran, 21:112].
The meaning of seeking help from Allah
In Islamic context, isti’aanah means to seek help from Allah ‘azza wa jall alone and it is an act of worship. In some circumstances seeking someone’s help other than Allah is considered as shirk and in certain circumstances it is not.
Firstly, in some issues you can only ask Allah and Allah alone and asking others in these circumstances is major shirk. Examples are asking others to seek blessings, provisions, removal of a disease or giving security.
Secondly, there are both worldly and religious matters that can be sought from the creation, however with certain conditions. An example is when you loose something and ask someone to help you look for it. Still you first turn to Allah and then ask the assistance of someone else in that matter.
The one sought for help needs to meet three conditions: they have to be alive, present and capable. We cannot ask the dead for help and we cannot ask those for help who are not present (the prophets could also not hear the calls for help from people who were not within their hearing). And we cannot seek that which others are not capable to give; like asking a shaykh to put you in Paradise, even if he is alive and you are with him. Only Allah ‘azza wa jall is capable of doing so, and asking someone else in this matter would be shirk.
How can you live by this name?
1.Say Allaahul Musta’aan.  Each prayer you say: You alone do we worship, and You alone do we turn for help [Quran, 1:5] Do you really seek His help?  Allaahul musta’aan is a beautiful statement  you can find twice in the Quran.
In Surah Yuusuf, his sons clearly described something that had not taken place to Yaqoob; no wolf ate Yuusuf, but what could Yaqoob do? All he could do was turn to Allah and he said: Allaahul musta’aanu ‘alaa ma tasifoon – And Allah is the one sought for help against that which you describe. [Quran, 12:18] We can learn to use this dhikr when falsehood is presented as truth which causes you or others difficulty.
In surah Al-‘Anbiyaa the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam used this statement himself when disbelievers were disrespecting Allah: wa Rabbunar-Rahmaanul Musta’aan’alaa maa tasifoon– And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the One Whose help is sought against that which you describe [Quran, 21:112]
2. Seek Al-Musta’aan first and foremost. Ibn Abbaas radiyallahu ‘anhu said: One day, I was riding behind the Prophet when he said: O boy! I will instruct you in some matters. Protect the commandments of Allah, He will preserve you. Safeguard His Rights, He will be ever with you. If you seek help, seek help from Allah alone; and if you need assistance, supplicate to Allah Alone for help. And remember that if all the people gather to benefit you, they will not be able to benefit you except that which Allah had foreordained (for you); and if all of them gather to do harm to you, they will not be able to afflict you with anything other than that which Allah had pre-destined against you. The pens had been lifted and the ink had dried up. [At-Tirmidhee]
Focus less on people, don’t fear the effect of anyone’s decisions and know that even if people seem to benefit you, the true source is Al-Musta’aan. Even though you are permitted to seek help from others; it is crucial you first call on Al-Musta’aan to provide help and rely on Him alone and not on others. So next time you borrow money of a friend, or even ask a teacher to help you understanding a lesson, first ask Allah to help and guide you and He will provide His help, sometimes by means of other people or even objects or animals (think of the birds who destroyed the army of Abraha described in Surah Al-Feel)!
3.Help one another.  Al-Musta’aan says: And co-operate all of you together upon piety and righteousness. Help you one another in righteousness and piety; but do not help one another in sin and transgression.  And fear Allaah.  Verily, Allaah is severe in punishment. [Quran, 5:2] Extend help in that which is good and halaal to others and never help others in doing that which Allah ‘azza wa jall forbade. For example helping someone to buy alcohol, commit zinaa, etc.
4. Limit yourself in asking others.  Allah’s Messenger salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Who will guarantee me that he will not ask mankind for anything, and I will guarantee for him Paradise (in return)? So Thawban said, “I”, and he added, “And I would never ask anyone for anything.” [Abu Dawood] Even though in cases it is permissible to ask others, limiting yourself in seeking aid from others is a characteristic of the pious and takes courage and strength and truly reliance on Allah; the promise for those people is no less than Paradise. A dhikr you can use in this  context is:
فَقُلْ حَسْبِي اللَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ Say: Allah is sufficient for me. None has the right to be worshiped but He, in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne [Quran, 9:129]. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam used to say this seven times in the morning and evening. Revive this sunnah and live by it!
Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem
O Allah, Al-Musta’aan, we know that You are the only One whose help is sought. Make us of those who truly seek Your help first and foremost, beautify us with the feature of not asking others often and make us of those who help others in that which is good and encouraged by You, ameen!

Surat al-Ikhlas worth one-third of Quran
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: A man heard another man reciting, “Say, He is Allah, the One,” (112:1) again and again. The next morning he came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and told him about it, as if he thought it was not enough to recite. The Prophet said, “By the One in whose hand is my soul, it is equal to a third of the Quran.”

What does the Quran say about the location of God?
The Quran describes Allah (God) as being beyond human comprehension and transcendent, yet simultaneously close and intimate. Here are some verses that discuss the location of God:
1. "He is the One who is above all things" (Quran 6:18, 31:22, 42:4)
2. "He is with you wherever you are" (Quran 57:4, 58:7)
3. "He is closer to you than your jugular vein" (Quran 50:16)
4. "He is above the Throne" (Quran 20:5, 25:59, 32:4)
5. "He is not contained by space or direction" (Quran 112:4)
The Quran emphasizes that Allah is not confined to a specific location or direction, and is beyond human understanding. The concept of "above" or "with" is not meant to be taken physically, but rather metaphorically, to convey His majesty, power, and closeness.
In Islamic theology, the idea of Allah's location is often discussed in terms of:
- Transcendence (Tanzih): Allah is beyond human comprehension and not bound by physical laws.
- Immanence (Tashbih): Allah is close and intimate with His creation.
This paradox highlights the complexity and mystery of Allah's nature, encouraging believers to focus on their relationship with Him rather than trying to define His physical location.

A letter from Iran, to American university students:
(This is from the letter) …The Quran's lesson for us Muslims and all of humanity, is to stand up for that which is right: "So be steadfast as you have been commanded" (11:112).
Note: I noticed maybe 3 or 4 mistakes in the reading of the letter, and one of them is the word “ungovernable”, which must be replaced by “unforgivable“.

What is the spiritual jihad, how should it be done?
The spiritual jihad is a spiritual war that all Muslims need to wage in order not to be overcome in the face of the entrapment and tricks of the Satan and evil-self, and restrain their own selfish desires. The purpose of the spiritual jihad, which is also called spiritual fight or Jihad-u Akbar (the Great Jihad), is to fight against the evil-self and the Satan during Muslims whole lifetime, is to be a pure servant on the right path, a benevolent Muslim, a virtuous and perfect human being, by purifying their own evil-selves from all sorts of temptations. The spiritual jihad means strengthening the order of the inner-world. In addition, it is to wash ones heart away from dirt and evil, and try to get rid of every sort of evil. The spiritual jihad, which aims at ones improving and amending his own inner-world, is the responsibility of being a human.
Spiritual fight is a constant necessity for all Muslims. Spiritual fight is to endeavor to have the consciousness of servitude within constancy. The importance of the spiritual jihad is clearly emphasized in the Holy Quran and hadiths. With regard to the verse, Therefore stand firm (in the straight path) as thou art commanded (Hud Surah, 11:112) the Prophet (PBUH) says : the Surah Hud has made me aged (Tirmidi, Tafseer, part 56) and thus expressed the importance of keeping the right path as Allah (SWT) commands, and his sensitivity towards the task of servitude for Allah (SWT).
In the Holy Quran, with the declaration of By the sun and his brightness, And the moon when she followed him, And the day when it revealed him, And the night when it enshrouded him, And the heaven and Him Who built it, And the earth and Him Who spread it, And a soul and Him Who perfected it, And inspired it (with conscience of) what is wrong for it and (what is) right for it. He is indeed successful who caused it to grow, And he is indeed a failure who stunted it. (As-Shams Surah, 91:1-10) Allah Almighty declares that to reach salvation will only be possible to keep ones self away from evil.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) indicates the importance of the struggle against the evil-self in his hadith The mujaheed (one who performs jihad) is the one who struggles against his evil-self, and Allah Almighty warns people seriously with His verses in the Holy Quran against the evil sides of self, The (human) soul is certainly prone to evil (Yusuf Surah, 12:53), And believe in what I reveal, confirming the revelation which is with you, and be not the first to reject Faith therein, nor sell My Signs for a small price; and fear Me, and Me alone. (Al-Baqarah Surah, 2:41) Along with this warning, He also shows the ways of cleansening and purification: A similar (favor have ye already received) in that We have sent among you a Messenger of your own, rehearsing to you Our Signs, AND PURIFYING YOU, and instructing you in Scripture and Wisdom, and in new knowledge. (Al-Baqarah Surah, 2:151)
Achievement in religion largely rests on the spiritual achievement. The one who cannot perform jihad against his evil-self in following the commands of Allah (SWT) cannot also make a war against the enemy.
Allah (SWT) has assistance and favor for the Muslims who make spiritual wars. This verse confirms this: And those who strive in Our (Cause), We will certainly guide them to Our Paths: for verily Allah is with those who do right (Al-Ankaboot Surah, 29:69).

WHO CREATED ALLAH?
Nothing has arrived by itself, there is a creator behind everything. Allah initiated the creation from the fused mass of earth & heavens. He split apart the both & created heavens, earth & whatever is in it. He creates whatever He wills. So, Allah is called ٱلْخَالِقُ  (Al-Khaliq The Creator)
But then who created Allah? (Muslims are prohibited to ask such Q but today we have to face such Q)
Just imagine a creation and a creator. The creator is always superior to His creation. If there is a Creator of Allah then that Creator becomes Allah. So the name of Allah always arrives first. This is Allah the “الأوَّلُ  (Al-Awwal” The First, one of the names of Allah). So, there is always an initiator who initiates and Allah is the first, the initiator, from whom everything arrived. This is Allah, The Originator, also called “الْبَدِيعُ (AL-BADEE- The Originator).
So, there is no creator of Allah. He created everything and declares this in Quran: Say: He is Allah, the One! Allah, the Eternal, The Absolute! Who did not give birth to anyone, nor did anyone give birth to Him.  And there is none that can be compared like Him (112:1-4)
Similarly, His creation never destroys or vanishes, all return back to Him and no one can pass Him because He is the “الآخِرُ (AL-AAKHIR- The Last). Such is Allah. The Creator. For Muslims, these words of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) are enough. He said that Satan (Shaitan) will come to you and trouble you with questions like: “Who created this or that?” To which you would logically respond: “Allah.” Until he would come to the question: “Then who created Allah?” Then the Prophet (Peace be upon him) instructed us to quit those discussions and say, at that time: “ I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil (أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ) [16:98].” (Bukhari/Muslim)

Lineages of spirits: ropes from men and spirits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
... Ignominy shall be their portion wheresoever they are found save (where they grasp) a rope from Allah(Spirits) and a rope from men.  Quran 3:112
The meaning of this verse was specifically for the Israelites under the Islamic rulership but I'd like to expand the meaning and give a more esoteric view on it, we as the Israelites in this verse as a practitioner and someone learning magic, witchcraft and so on.
Spirits and humans aren't infallibles and that's something we have to keep in mind when we work with all of them. There are always jump of faith, jump of faith that the person talking with you isn't trying to exploit you for money or the jump of faith that the spirit you're talking to have your interest in mind as you have their interest in mind. It's nice to look at it as two polarity but that's a false dichotomy and there are MANY influence into this sphere. Some people get too bent on the psychicism of "oh I can do it myself" or "Oh I don't need a teacher I will figure it out myself", the self-initiation, and so on. I mean I am kinda self-initiated but not in every part of my practice and that's the important thing is that we can't rely on the astral for it all, and you can't just take the human words for it all. The other side of it is someone human, of flesh and bones who can talk to us, and speak to us as human and not as some pompous persona on the internet but someone who speaks with us as a normal person. A teacher, lineage, mentor, passing person, or a friends on the path are also important because they ground us, give us an avenue to talk, and we have this back and forth conversation going on. What is worse that we can also get stuck in our bubble, echo-chamber, in our based and cringe literature or this and that. We can get so stuck on our teacher that we forget their flaws, or get so stuck about our school that we don't think that our practice can improve outside of it. You can see where I am going with in this case, we can't rely TOTALLY on spirit interaction because our whole vocabulary will become so distorted by our own pre-spiritual culture that the word we use to describe our own experience won't be understandable for other people. We can't get too attached to our lineage because we might lose the helpful instructions and guidance we get out of it, in the same sense the system become the "The System" that Valentine Tomberg had a very apt way to describe it:
mysticism is the YOD of the Tetragrammaton, just as gnosis is the first HÉ, magic is the VAU—or “child” of mysticism and gnosis—and Hermetic philosophy is the second (final) HÉ [...] A person who has had the misfortune to fall victim to the spell of a philosophical system (and the spells of sorcerers are mere trifles in comparison to the disastrous effect of the spell of a philosophical system!) can no longer see the world, or people, or historic events, as they are; he sees everything only through the distorting prism of the system by which he is possessed. Yes, autonomous philosophical systems separated from the living body of tradition are parasitic structures, which seize the thought, feeling and finally the will of human beings. In fact, they play a role comparable to the psychopathological complexes of neurosis or other psychic maladies of obsession. Their physical analogy is cancer. Am I against learning from teachers? no, Am I against learning from Spirits? no, but there is some subtleness in the whole situation that's lost. In reality we always need guidance even in lack thereof finding someone to teach us as a teacher always, we can see guidance. It's not wrong to be misguided but what's wrong is charging ahead like it's nothing. "No, this person doesn't know what they're talking about, I will do it my own way" which is valid but then you have to realize that we are all cycling and going back throughout the year and seasons aiming to "grow" and transform rather than dying and "perishing". To cap all of this off, learn, listen, contemplate, widen your horizon and don't keep yourself locked in either boxes, there's more to the world.

What does the Quran say about Jesus and his life? What do Muslims believe to be the truth about his reported miracles? In other words, do Muslims believe in the gospel accounts of miracles by Jesus or in other writings/hadith regarding it or some sort of combination? Weird question, I know.
🌸
Thank you angel for the ask... This is going to be a long answer I hope I can explain well with my little knowledge and even little eloquence... and No this is not weird question...
Jesus (peace be upon him) was the son of Mary, servant of Allah and a messenger of Allah to guide people... His (peace be upon him) birth was a miracle as mention in the Quran (3:45) because He (peace be upon him) was born to the virgin Mary. Indeed Allah creates what He wills. Another miracle He (peace be upon him) had was, He (peace be upon him) spoke while being a infant giving the proof that His (peace be upon him) mother was not unchaste (Quran 19:16). He (peace be upon him) was a prophet from the birth. In the Quran we get to know that He (peace be upon him) confirmed the teachings of the Torah (Bible) and Allah gave Him (peace be upon him) a new book the Injeel (Gospel). His (peace be upon him) other miracles are healing the blind, and the lepers, even bringing the dead back to life, making birds shapes and breathing life in them, telling people what they had cooked in their houses and what they ate (Quran 5:110) (3:49). These all miracles happened with Allah's will. I read some of the miracles in Gospel, and I think in Gospel, His (peace be upon him) miracles were elaborated more but in Quran they were generalized to show that He (peace be upon him) was a true prophet from Allah. I don't know if it will be counted as a miracle but Allah provided Him (peace be upon him) and the companions with the food from heaven (Quran 5:112). And ofcourse last but not least Allah lifted Him (peace be upon him) up to heavens when people plotted to crucify Him (peace be upon him) (Quran 3:55). He (peace be upon him) will be back to this world near judgement day. His (peace be upon him) life was dedicated to educate people to believe in one Allah. He (peace be upon him) is one of the closest person to Allah. He (peace be upon him)
Lastly here is link for Ahadeeth which have mentioned Jesus (peace be upon him). This link is also helpful. I will ask you to read Surah Maryam and have a good understanding.

Allah calls Himself Al-Mubeen— The Clear, The Manifest One— once in the Quran. Al-Mubeen is the Clear and Manifest Truth. He is the One who clarifies what is falsehood and what is truth and manifests His signs to the creation!
The Clear, the Manifest, the One Beyond Resemblance
Mubeen comes from the root baa-yaa-noon, which points to  main meanings. The first meaning is to be far and the second is to be of any type of distance. The third meaning is to be clear.
This root appears 523 times in the Quran in 13 derived forms. Examples of these forms are yabayyinu (“makes clear”), bayna (“between”), al-bayinaatu (“the clear proofs”)and mubeenun (“clear”).
Linguistically, mubeen implies something that is clear in essence and something which clarifies something else. Al-Mubeen is the One who is far from and above anything else in resemblance, His Names and Attributes are clear and He is the One who clarifies the truth from falsehood in this life and ultimately on the Day of Judgement.
Al-Mubeen Himself says: . . . That Day, Allah will pay them in full their deserved recompense, and they will know that it is Allah who is the perfect in justice [Quran, 24:25]
The Quran is Mubeen
Allah ‘azza wa jall described His Book as mubeen; al kitaabil-mubeen. This characteristic of the Quran can be found especially in chapters after the disjointed letters (al huroof muqatt’aat) are mentioned. For example: Ta-Seen-Meem. These are the ayaat of the ‘mubeen’ Book [Quran, 28:1-2] and Ha-meem. And by the ‘mubeen’ book [Quran, 43:1-2].
The Quran is far from being compared to any other book, it is a clear proof (bayyinah) in itself – it is authentic and unique-  and it clarifies the truth from falsehood and guidance from misguidance!
How Can You Live By This Name?
1.     Follow the signs.
Follow the way Allah Al-Mubeen made clear for you from the two sources: the Quran and sunnah. Al-Mubeen says: There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear (mubeen) Book [Quran, 5:15] Make sure you complete reading the Quran from cover to cover in your own language as a minimum. Study the explanation of the Quran, such as the Tafseer of Ibn Katheer to gain more understanding of the meanings. Don’t be satisfied by merely reciting the Quran without understanding it, how else can it be a source of guidance? So treat the ayaat of the Quran as the signs on your way through this life they are meant to be and focus on your final destination: Paradise.
Study the ways of the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam as Allah ‘azza wa jall describes him as mubeen:It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear (mubeen) warner [Quran, 38:70]. Revive his sunnah in your daily life( click here for the Revive a Sunnah Series: https://understandquran.com/revive-a-sunnah)
2. Know your enemy.
One of the ways Allah Al-Mubeen clarifies the straight path is by warning us against hindrances and enemies on our way for whom we should be prepared. Allah ‘azza wa jall says: O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy [Quran, 2:168] Treat shaytan as your enemy and use ‘a’oodhu billaahi minash-shaytanir rajeem’ as a daily life weapon in times of anger, doubt and fear!
3. Never belittle sins.
It is Al-Mubeen clarifies for you what is right and what is wrong; never see a sin as small or big, rather consider the One you are sinning against. Allah ‘azza wa jall says: But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [person] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest(mubeen) sin [Quran, 4:112]. Ask Al-Mubeen sincerely to make you recognize your sins, so you are able to repent and set them straight. How many people are blinded by their own sins?
4. Call yourself to account before you are called to account.
Al-Mubeen will ultimately clarify everything for us on the Day of Judgement, where lies will be made evident and the truth cannot be escaped from by the disbelievers. Allah ‘azza wa jall says: So worship what you will besides Him.” Say, “Indeed, the losers are the ones who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the manifest (mubeen) loss [Quran, 39:15]
Pray to Al-Mubeen that you will not become a case against yourself on this dreadful day because of your bad deeds overshadowing your good deeds, because of the sins you belittled or because of the friends you chose: O you who have believed, do not take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah against yourselves a clear (mubeen) case? [Quran, 4:144]
Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem.
O Allah, Al-Mubeen we know that You are the Clear and Manifest Truth. Enable us to follow Your signs of the Quran and sunnah and increase our knowledge. Make us aware of our enemies and protect us against them and make clear for us the way to Your pleasure by giving us the ability to differentiate between right and wrong and acting upon this, ameen!

Allah calls Himself Al-Ahad — The Only One, the Unique — on one occasion in the Quran (112:1). Al-Ahad is the One who was, is, and will ever remain alone. He is indivisible and the essence of unity, and nothing or no one can ever be equal to Him in essence in all His beautiful attributes.
