Turning the next corner... I believe

I refurbished this tumblr account as my “author’s page” but there is nothing in the associated creative page (”Flaming Hoot Stories and Sundry”). I’m at that point of readiness where I don’t quite know the ‘shape’ of my powers, so I keep doing small things to trip myself. More than two weeks ago I locked eyes with a barred-owl in a nearby woods (this is nonfiction). I turned to Google for interpretations. Today I returned to one of the Shamanic pages I found ~ I won’t filch that author’s precise words but the sum of the message seems to be that my goals are attainable but there is a price to be paid. Nothing can prevent me from receiving what is destined for me but first comes the work-- and whatever it precludes... When my mental health was much worse (and I didn’t understand why) these leadings intimidated me -- I felt as if I didn’t have the energy and discipline required to pay the price, felt inadequate. Yet the owl brings mystic empowerment in its medicine. Bear in mind, too, that I didn’t spot the owl gliding past. She sat on her limb and watched me watching her, through my binoculars. I stayed there, content, for as long as she was alert. I decided to leave her to nap in privacy when her eyes sank into her downy face.
