Y'know... Literally all I want to do is to be allowed to be who I truly am. I am a woman, plain and simple. That's who I am, what I am and it is how I feel about myself. I did not get prescribed hormone therapy to assault women. I am a human being; not a threat. FARTs just need to leave us trans women the fuck alone. All I want is to live how I please without hurting anyone.
That said, TERFs and FARTs have no place in the fight for women's liberation. Quite frankly, I wouldn't feel safe in the same bathroom as you. You appropriate feminism to cloak your white supremacist, colonizing, transphobic bigotry. You are all white supremacist colonizers appropriating the language of feminism to act like bigots.

Is it possible to be pan but have a preference of gender/“see” gender? I just learned about pan vs Omni and I guess Omni fits better but I love the pan flag and colors and more people know about it. Idk it’s a little confusing
Alright, getting on my etymological soap box here.
The point of words is to communicate ideas. They work based off shared understandings that shift through time and between cultures. Most people do not fit entirely into the definition of one word because words are simplifications of concepts and people are complex. Specialized terminology can be a useful shorthand so you don’t have to spend a couple paragraphs describing all the intricacies of a concept every time, but they’re never going to be absolutely completely accurate all the time. Like when you call something ‘red.’ Yeah, it’s pretty much garrenteed whatever it is is not entirely red, it’s probably got some orange or purple or whatever else hues in it, and even those are just categories made up by humans anyways. But calling it red is a workable enough simplification so other people get the gist of what you’re talking about.
If you want to describe yourself as pansexual because it gets the basic idea across to most people, that perfectly fine. If you want to clerify by using the word omnisexual around people who would understand the difference, that’s great too. If you’d rather not, that’s also fine. Nobody is entitled to the complete description of all your feelings and experiences. If them understanding you as pansexual works just fine for you, then go ahead and use that word.
There’s always going to be more precise and accurate microlabels. You can use those if you like, or you can choose not too. Most of the time the way I describe myself is simply “queer as fuck” because it gets the general idea across and I have fun saying it 😎 When I want to be a little more specific I say pan because it lets people know I like everybody. I also percieve gender though, so maybe it’d be a more accurate to describe myself as omnisexual? But I also don’t think the ways I experience attraction are exactly the same as other people so maybe it really ought to be greyomniace? Is that even a word? (Trick question, of course it’s a word cuz I just used it as one and that’s all words are, sounds we string together to represent ideas) I could probably go down the rabbit trail of a hundred different sub labels if I really wanted to get precise about it, but I don’t really care to, and that’s fine. I’ve got a good enough understanding of me, and the terms I use give other people a good enough understanding. Purpose accomplished.

Not to stir shit but. Yes, romantic relationships are prioritised in fandom. Yes, this is is part of amatonormativity. Yes, a-spec coding is often ignored for the sake of romantic parings. BUT I think people, especially a-spec people, need to watch it a bit when they talk about this stuff bc recently I’ve been seeing more and more takes edging towards “non romantic relationships or media that does not have romantic parings as a focus or “encourage” shipping is inherently better” which starts so slide into “romantic relationships bad and gross & all shipping nasty” which can get a bit homophobicy.
I know that a lot of us are a bit fed up but I’m begging y’all to understand that a-specs just like everyone else in the queer community are not immune to falling into anti-queer mindsets or being queerphobic against other identities within the queer community and that online fandom spaces are deeply queer spaces with a long history of shipping as a way to safely engage with queer experiences when you can’t do it openly or IRL. To degrade shipping bc it’s gross and frame all of it (which is very very often queer pairings) as downgrades from pure and untainted nonsexual nonromantic relationships is kinda fucking questionable!
These spaces need positive & healthy relationships to sex and romance because queer people and society at large needs those things and yes that includes acceptance and respect for a-specs and a deconstruction of amatanormativity & allonormativity but it ALSO includes a-specs managing their own online experiences so they can engage with sex and romance as much or as little as they want & respecting and understanding the allo queer community. Want more non shipping centered fandom experience? Well friend you are on the curate your own experience website! Make what you want to see, manage who you follow and what tags you have blocked. There’s nothing wrong with discussing amatanormativity and allonormativity in fandom spaces. I think it’s important. But please, you are not immune to the propaganda. None of us are. Try not to swing too hard in the other direction bc nothing good will come of it.

I want this level of queer energy for Rockstar Lestat, please.
Also side note, but gender bent the song and I can hear Lestat lamenting about Louis in the closet way back when 😂
