the trouble with keeping things by the book
I have to admit, when I first saw a preview of IWTV, I groaned and completely disregarded it. Why? Because my head had already come up with who these characters were, where they lived and what they looked like (thanks to the movie, they all pretty much looked like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and the version of Armand from Queen Of The DamnedâŠwho looks more like Sam honestly). It was utterly bizarre that âtheyâ had decided to revamp the story with clear lgbt themes, different timelines, actors that werenât just all white, racism and classist themesâŠthe story wasnât as cut and dry anymore. This frightened me. I was worried what Anne would think of all this change happening to her story. And I was worried it would likeâŠI dunnoâŠif Girls was a show about vampires. How many social issues can we cram into an hour sorta deal. This is a story that one reads to escape into. Itâs very special for doing that for those of us who have sat in a lonely school library during lunch hour. No friends but in my head I was Claudia. And I took parts of her away with me after reading. The confidence, the swagger, the mouth. So I panicked. It took until this late summer to jump on the bandwagon. AMC was free for a month so why not? And ya know what? I think Anne would be proud. If you had the joy of interacting with her on Facebook, you know that she was an advocate and loved the fan interactions and interpretations. She loved the questions (Lestat did not kill Paul. Thatâs on the record now) and had a lot of fun with us. She wrote those books awhile ago. Things change. Characters evolve even if the author isnât there writing about them. The author births them and the fans and the world helps them grow. The world changed and so did âourâ little vampire family. Itâs good. This is good. What are these ramblings really about? Iâve learned to give things a chance.

Biggest Cruise Moments of 2024
2024 has been a big year for cruising and cruise lines, with close to 36 million people taking to the sea aboard one of the more than 300 cruise ships in service today.
Letâs start 12 months ago in January 2024 when one of the biggest news stories was Princess Cruises announcement that the maiden voyage of their new Sun Princess had been delayed.
It was happier January news for Royal Caribbean, which placed its new Icon of the Seas into service â taking the title of the Worldâs Biggest Cruise Ship!
In February, we learnt of another delay to Sun Princess, with the maiden voyage pushed back yet again to 28 February.
That same month, Carnival announced an order for another LNG powered ship, due for arrival in 2027, while the Cunard Queen Anne completed her sea trials successfully, marking a major milestone in the shipâs building progress.
youtube
In March international cruise brands returned to the Taiwanese market, while the Villa Vie Residences took delivery of the former Fred Olden Braemar, and commenced transforming it into a residential cruise ship, which they named Villa Via Odyssey.
March also saw Carnival make headlines, due to a fire onboard Carnival Freedom, which resulted in the cancellation of several cruises.
April 2024 saw the P&O Cruises Pacific Adventure treated to a drydock, where onboard enhancements added to the already popular ship. Features included new cabanas, an improved sound system as well as recarpeting & reupholstery work done.
Windstar had an exciting April, announcing their intent to build two new ships â Star Seeker and Star Explorer while on 24 April, Cunardâs Queen Anne left the Fincantieri shipyard enroute to Southampton on her delivery voyage.
May 2024 was a huge month for Cunard, with Queen Anneâs maiden voyage taking place. The roundtrip Southampton sailing was a big deal for Cunard given it was the first time in a decade they had welcomed a new ship to their fleet.

Above: Queen Anne.
I was aboard as the inaugural Cunard Insights speaker sharing the story of the Passenger Ship to packed out audiences in the Royal Court Theatre!
May also saw Margheritaville at Sea welcome their 2nd ship, the Margheritaville at Sea Islander. This Spirit class cruise ship originally sailed with Costa as Costa Atlantica.
In June, Villa Via Odysseyâs voyage was delayed, while June was also a very sad month for Australian cruisers, with the announcement that P&O Cruises Australia will close in 2025.
The announcement was quite a shock to even the keenest observers and will bring to an end P&O branded cruising in Australia, a tradition that dates to 1932.

Above: Pacific Encounter in Brisbane (P&O Cruises)
Hurricane Beryl interrupted numerous cruise itineraries in July, as ships diverted to avoid the weather, an event repeated by Tropical Storm Debbie in August, and Hurricane Milton in October.Â
August shipping headlines featured the SS United States. It was revealed that the ship could no longer remain alongside at her long-term pier and is reported that she will likely be sunk off the coast of Florida, to become an artificial reef â though environmental and ship-structural concerns are delaying this process.
Seabourn Odyssey retired in September, with the much beloved cruise ship having been sold to Mitsui OSK Lines. She now sails as Mitsui Ocean Fuji.
Carnival Splendor returned to Sydney in September, having been given a refurbishment. Carnival also announced that the Pacific Encounter and Pacific Adventure will sail with the brand as Carnival Encounter and Carnival Adventure.
Above: Pacific Encounter.
October saw the Norwegian Spirit complete her Asian charter with Lion Travel. October was also a big month for RCI, with the brand ordering 2 new mega-ships, both an Icon Class and an Oasis Class, due to enter service in 2027, while the Icon-class Star of the Seas floated out for the first time.
NCLâs ship redeployments dominated the headlines in November, with multiple itineraries changed for 2025 and beyond. These included Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Star and Norwegian Jade â all of which had existing cruises cancelled and redeployment plans announced.
And finally in December, Cunard announced a significant refit of the Queen Elizabeth to take place in Singapore next year.
And thanks from us:
It has also been a big year for us, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support.
In the last year, we relaunched the YouTube channel, with a new name â Cruise News and Ship History with Chris Frame, launched an accompanying cruise news blog here and started offering weekly cruise news videos.
We launched channel membership, and launched two new ship history books â The Evolution of the Passenger Ship and A Photographic History of P&O Cruises, as well as publishing our Cruise Consultancy website at www.frameandcross.com.
We also launched a new Aviation YouTube channel â Two Aussie Avgeeks, and won an award for Best Aviation Feature Article from the Australasian Aviation Press Club â for a story I wrote about the impact Jet Airliners had on Ocean Liners published by Airline Ratings!
What a year!

Dang...
So July.
A definite crescendo of a month. Especially for one that starts off with explosions.
One month after moving back to the house after four years living on the Hill, it turns out the correct answer was...
Moving back to the house.
What can I say?

The reasons that made the choice such a difficult one not even two months ago... weren't so tough to navigate after all. Especially the commute side of the equation. It actually does work better than we would've guessed. Plus... the house is super chill, very quiet. Which makes sense since I-5 doesn't run right in front of it. Plus, though the remodeling of the house wasn't actually intended for us, it sure makes the house more optimized for what we do and want.
So yeah. A great call.

July fifth was our dating anniversary, the date of our establishing being July 5, 1990. Kind of a while ago. We lazed the morning. Went to see Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny at the Crest Theater, hit the Ballard GoodWill for some random browsing, derailed a trip to Trader Joe's by going to PCC across the street instead for orange creamsicles we subsequently enjoyed on the roof. Had a picnic on the shores of Smith Cove in front of Expedia. Did a walkabout of the Seattle Center for old time's sake. Finished off at Tapster on South Lake Union allâ
On a sunny summer's day.
It was a fantastic dating anniversary.

Moving through the month, the next big event was this year's 48 Hour Film Project competition with the Combat Wombats, the production team that was kind enough to invite me to be a Wombat a coupla years ago for their short film, "Cleaners". This year's effort, "PTAgent" was, yes, hard work and a delight for all of us. It also feels like we're getting better at this having begun the journey at a high level to begin with.
By the way, the 48 Hour weekend was also proof of something Kimmer created: my edit suite. This was basically the shakedown cruise for using the room as intended, including the space for clients.
Initially I was thinking the overstuffed couch should be replaced with something a more sleek. That is... until Saturday night and Sunday during the day when the weary director and producer of "PTAgent" put its overstuffed comfort to good use.

The end of the 48 Hour extravaganza always features a dinner out with Kimmer. It's a tradition we didn't know was gonna be a tradition... but a tradition we started with my first 48 Hour Film Project editing "Cleaners", an experience that kept me up that particular Saturday night until 5AM Sunday morning and then up again by 9... four hours later. I think I finished with the edit around 4 that afternoon? At which point Kimmer offers dinner at Maggie Bluffs, our first such celebratory dinner with this year's, our fourth, at Las Brisas in Edmonds. âșïžâșïžâșïž

The reward for our 48 Hour experience, of course, was the opportunity to watch our work on the big screen at the Uptown Cinema in lower Queen Ann where, once upon a time as a youngster, I watched Young Sherlock Holmes.

youtube
Moving on, the second half of the month was definitely the most incredibly packed half.Â

So the 48 Hour Film Project competition began the evening of Friday, July 14 ending on the evening of July 16. Four days later, Thursday the 20th, Kimmer 'n I drive up to the neighborhood behind the Grand Avenue Park Bridge, park our car, and walk down to the Everett Marina where Linzy's performing with the band The Little Lies.

Two days after that, Saturday, middle of the day, we join the band again at their Bite of Seattle performance that's taking place on one of the busiest weekends in Seattle history including but not limited to a Mariners game, the Capitol Hill Block Party, various cruise ship departures, and a Taylor Swift at Lumen Field mega concert. All of which conspired to bring everyone into the heart of Seattle.

youtube
Every place in the city was packed, is all I'm saying.
Same deal the next day, Sunday the 23rd, when we return to the Bite to see another band of which Linzy's a member: Midnight High (more on that band in a moment).

The Midnight High performance was around 1 in the afternoon after which we went back to the house as Linzy went on to that evening's Taylor Swift concert which, according to everyone, was a VERY big deal. Certainly for Linzy who basically grew up as a musician with Taylor's career. đ€©đ€©đ€©

Now, while all these shows were happening, as the world premiere of the film I cut approached, Kimmer was also up to her eyeballs... having officially applied to a doctorate program at her alma mater. And, by the time the screening happened, she was officially accepted.
HUZZAH!!!!!! đđđ
And the doctorate program?
Doctor of Science in Integrative Health from the American College of Healthcare Sciences.
So there it is.
We all three were having a very busy week.

A coupla evenings later, Tuesday the 25th, I'm prefunctioning at the home of the Combat Wombats' director as most of the team gathers for pizza oven cooked pizza and drinks and talking shop and talking life⊠before heading to the Uptown Cinema for the world premiere of "PTAgent" on the big screen. By the time I get home, it's already a half hour into Sunday the 26th, the morning on which we're leaving for southern California to visit family and check in on Kimmer's aunt. At this point, we've gotta be out the door in six hours but manage to eat one of those hours watching an episode of Madame Secretary, a series that's turned out to be a big deal for us this summer after we blitzed through the eight episode season one of The Diplomat four times in a row.
Yeah. We desperately needed another show to watch.
So credits roll on Madam Secretary and now it's a little after 130AM. The way things work out, we'll be up three and a half hours later at 5AM, ready and on the road to the airport by 640AM, in the air by 8, and so on.
Which pretty much explains how tired we were the rest of the day.
Our California family's family, though, which means they give us a huuuuge shot of energy for four solid days of taking our home life on the road, an essential part of which is about seeing Kimmer's aunt who lives in a memory care community.

By the time we're home again, we're into the first minutes of Sunday the 30th, a day that we figured will be a normal-ish, chores-ish day that suddenly turns into the world premiere of Linzy's music on the radio.

One of the bands in which she performs harmonies and keys, you see, is called Midnight High, their latest gig being that one at the Bite of Seattle. And Sunday evening, our day back from California, they're on the Locals Only show on KNDD-FM 107.7 The End. They're promoting their new album, "Swimming Lessons", showcasing a few songs from that album and sharing some of their favorite music including "I Don't Wanna Know" from Linzy's debut Dream Patrol project EP titled "Made For TV".
Dang.
That made for a very "That Thing You Do" moment for us at home and for Linzy over at her place.
youtube
And yup.
After a crazy busy July, that's seven months down.
Five to go.

So I see weâre sharing how we got into the Vampire Chronicles, which I think is a pretty neat idea (hope you donât mind me tagging you @i-want-my-iwtv - I was thinking of inboxing you but then realised âhmm.. bit too long for thatâ đ), so hereâs my experience.
Iâve been into vampires for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, it was very much the kid-friendly stuff (still iconic!) like The Little Vampire and Young Dracula. Then when the Vampire Renaissance of 2008-2010s occurred (I was.. I want to say 12? some age around then?), I saw Twilight and the Vampire Diaries and was like âok this is certainly different from what Iâm used to but I am enjoying it (yeah... that definitely changed with the latter show eventually đ) but I think thereâs something about my love of vampires that Iâm not really getting with these franchisesâ. And then I went further down the âgrown-up vampireâ media rabbit hole and found That 90s Vampire Film Starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.Â
I thought it was going to be one of the most âplease come see our film, itâs mediocre as hell but weâve got all these pretty A-list actors to distract you from that!â films ever. But as it turned out, Iâve never been so happy to be wrong in my life. I was just enthralled with this film. The acting was phenomenal, the look of the film was just stunning, and the characters were exactly what I was looking for in, letâs say, the next step in my vampire-loving adventure. This was the first vampire film I watched that really emphasised the metaphor of vampires being outsiders, and how their immortal existence can be a gift and a curse. It showed how different vampires deal with that immortality - some are gleefully sadistic, some are apathetic, some find it to be the worst hell imaginable that drives them completely insane, and some are... well... Louis. Love her or hate her, itâs easy to see that Anne Rice definitely changed the way we view vampires in fiction, and what they represent about our own human nature.Â
So, then I found out the film was based on a book. So I raced to the book store and bought it, then found out itâs a whole series! Yeah... Iâve only read the first three books đ (I will get around to the others eventually itâs just.. thereâs a lot of them, haha!) but to summarise, much like the other vampire shows I briefly touched on, Interview With the Vampire was a very formative film for me growing up. And itâs a film (and book) that I love revisiting. So, I cannot wait to see this new AMC series, to see what fresh blood (pun fully intended) is brought into this wonderful franchise.Â
P.S. Yes, I watched Queen of the Damned around that time too and... look, Iâm not saying anything new by calling it a pretty bad adaptation and I canât exactly say itâs a good film all-in-all BUT it does have one of my favourite soundtracks and Aaliyah was legit amazing as Akasha, sooooo, yep.Â

Hey I saw one of your older posts where you mentioned that you didnât like anne rice. And so with that i wanted to know your thoughts on Interview with the Vampire??
I have a love/hate relationship with Interview with the Vampire and I stopped reading her books after The Vampire Lestat.
One of the things I really don't like is the fact that Louis was a slave owner and that's...just kind of brushed off like it's no big deal. Yes, I know that this was normalized in the time period takes place, but Louis is telling the story from his perspective in the present day, and, at least from what I can remember, Louis offers no self-criticism for his actions? 300 years is not enough time to reflect on your past actions?
Also, thanks to Tumblr, as an adult I now realize how laughably ridiculous Anne Rice's writing style can be. It really is not that much different than the My Immortal fanfiction.
With all of this said, I think what saves both books for me is that the characters on their own are interesting and unique, and I think that's what ultimately gave her stories staying power...but I think it also has a lot to do with the fandom's dedication to them. This is also ironic as Anne Rice was vehemently against fanfiction...and I think the fans could probably do more for her characters than she was able to. This is probably why I enjoyed the movie adaptations of Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the Damned more than the books. I mean, yes, they did leave a lot of stuff out, but Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Aaliyah, and Stuart Townsend, I think, brought the characters to life way more than Rice herself did.

Little Mix on what it takes to survive being the most bullied band in pop
Still teenagers when they were catapulted to fame, superstardom came at a price for Little Mix. They open up to Francesca Babb about the soaring highs and crashing lows of the past nine years. It is the end of our YOU cover shoot, and I am facing the lesser-spotted sight of a barefaced Little Mix. Wet wipes swipe back and forth across their faces and, as the foundation departs in a deluge of coffee-coloured tissues, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, both 29, and Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, both 27, visibly relax into their tracksuits and boyfriend jeans, shoulders dropping as they settle into themselves. Iâm so used to seeing them contoured and camera ready that I assumed full glamour was their happy place. But perhaps the real Little Mix are not the war-paint-and-leotard-clad pop stars weâve spent almost ten years watching grow up, but rather the four women they have become behind the glare of the spotlight. Itâs those four women that Iâm intrigued to meet. Since winning The X Factor nine years ago, there have been highs â selling over 50 million records globally, a significant percentage of which were self-penned, and creating enough accompanying make-up lines and merchandise to keep them and their families comfortable for the foreseeable future (recent reports suggest they have earned a combined ÂŁ28.5 million to date). But there have also been lows ïżœïżœïżœ perpetual picking apart by both the public and the press, bullying and vitriol from online trolls. The most extreme cases of which led Jesy to attempt suicide during Little Mixâs early days in 2013 (she regards a tweet from the controversial Katie Hopkins â âPacket Mix have still got a chubber in their ranks. Less Little Mix. More Pick n Mixâ â as the âpinnacle pointâ for her depression) and pushed Perrie into an ongoing struggle with anxiety. Fame has changed them. In some ways they are still youthful and silly â dropping phrases into conversation that wouldnât be out of place in a playground â yet, in others, they are wise beyond their years, diving headfirst into battles on feminism, race and mental health. Theyâre fun enough to be light relief, smart enough to inspire a generation struggling with the pressures of youth and social media even before a pandemic was thrown at them, and ballsy enough to leave Simon Cowellâs record label because they didnât feel he had their best interests at heart. âItâs never really been a cruise, has it?â Jade ponders, a copy of social activist Bell Hooksâ 2002 feminist theory Communion: The Female Search For Love in her hand (not for show, I might add; when I ask her about it, she is well versed in its content). âItâs either been a really big high, or a really big low.â Jesy, who has found herself the target of some of the cruelest contempt from the world outside Little Mix, agrees: âSome of the best times, some of the worst times.â Comments on her weight, her looks, her place in the band, comments that she should take her own life, all led her into a deep depression and the aforementioned suicide attempt. Her documentary last year, Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out, revealed her journey through it all and, while harrowing, it is essential viewing on the realities of growing up in a world dominated by social media. âBefore we got in the group, I never looked at myself and thought, âI donât like thatâ â I donât think any of us did. I never thought, âOh god, Iâm fatâ, and then we got in the industry, and we all started wanting to change things about ourselves. Itâs so sad. There are things [in the past] I definitely wish I hadnât done,â she says, referring to the suicide attempt, in which she took an overdose after a two-year battle with depression and an eating disorder. âBut would I be the person I am today if I hadnât gone through all of that?â âThere was a time when it was worse than it is now,â adds Leigh-Anne, who has increasingly used her own Instagram channel to vocalise her experience of racism, both overt and underlying, throughout her time in the band. âI guess weâre taking steps forward, but I fear for my [future] daughtersâŠâ âIt makes me not want to have a kid,â agrees Jesy. âThose insecurities that we all have now because of social media, imagine having that embedded in you as a child?â Before you write them off as four very lucky girls ungratefully complaining about a lifestyle so many dream of, I should point out that they are fully aware of the paradox of their privilege. I suppose the point is, itâs not too much to ask to not be bullied to the point of hospitalisation as a by-product, is it? âLittle Mix has changed our lives for the better, and our familiesâ lives, and we have achieved so much,â says Perrie. âDonât get me wrong,â agrees Jesy (a warning I will hear repeatedly throughout our hour together, perhaps thanks to almost a decade of their quotes being blasted out of context for click-bait). âIâm not going to sit here and say weâve got a terrible life, because we havenât, but I do think our innocence was taken from us.â Itâs a while since the girls last did any press. Lockdown saw a halt to any activity they had planned, including the launch of their new talent show, BBC1âs Little Mix: The Search (in which they, well, search for a new band to mentor and join them on tour). But the time apart has not diminished their ability to finish each otherâs sentences and jump to each otherâs aid. It has, it seems, been really rather good for them and allowed them to come back fired up for the release of their sixth album, Confetti, which came out this week. âIt was needed,â agrees Jesy. âWeâre never not with each other and weâre always busy. Our mornings start early, we finish really late.â Being at home has meant more time spent with their families, with Jade even starting her own show on MTV with her mum Norma. Called Served!, the self-filmed series saw the pair interview celebrity drag queens and challenge each other to cooking competitions. âI love drag culture,â she says, âand me mam was by herself in lockdown, so I thought itâd be something nice to keep her entertained.â âYour mum could be on Loose Women,â Leigh-Anne muses. âImagine our mams on a show!â shrieks Jade. âNobody else would get a word in edgeways with my mam,â laughs Perrie. âOoh, when Debbie goes off on Twitter,â says Jade, of Perrieâs mumâs habit of weighing in on comments from haters. âMy mam will text me, have you seen Debbieâs been going off on someone!â It is interesting that all four talk frequently about their mums throughout our chat, and yet there is no mention of fathers. While their mums often appear on Instagram, a sighting of Perrieâs dad on her 23rd birthday was extremely rare. Perhaps the Little Mix dadsâ absence in the narrative is because the four girls were predominantly raised by their mothers (all of their parents separated when they were younger), and another reason the groupâs bond is so tight. Little Mix are each otherâs wall of arms, their own personal bodyguards. Jesy, they unanimously agree, is Scary Mix (although I find her a delight), which is interesting given her own inability to bat off other peopleâs words. âWhen itâs you on your own dealing with something personally,â Jesy says, âItâs completely different. You feel so vulnerable alone, but we are a force when weâre together.â Itâs not hard to see, in todayâs social-media obsessed society where there is little retribution for cruelty, why four attractive, successful young women, with attractive, successful young boyfriends (two footballers â Perrie dates Liverpoolâs Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Leigh-Anne is engaged to Watfordâs Andre Gray â while Jade is with Rizzle Kicks singer Jordan Stephens and Jesy is going out with Our Girl actor Sean Sagar), who seem to be living a dream life have found themselves at the heart of a whirlwind of vitriol. There was the infamous spat with Piers Morgan, in which he mocked them for posing naked but for the insults that have been hurled at them painted on their bodies. He accused them of using sex to sell records and called them âfoul-mouthed, talentless, clothes-allergic little dimwitsâ, which is not how I find them to be. âI take Piers with a pinch of salt,â Jesy says, rolling her eyes. âHe does it to cause drama, so I take no notice. When we won The X Factor, we didnât look like a generic girl band: weâre all different shapes and sizes, we didnât dress sexy, so immediately everyone was, âWhatâs this?ââ âUsually, when you see a girl band, theyâre perfection, they have six-packs â and we didnât,â continues Jesy. âPeople saw us as kids, so even though weâre now women, people still think of us that way, so when we come out on stage in leotards, they think, âThatâs disgusting!ââ âOne Direction didnât get the s**t we get, because theyâre men,â states Leigh-Anne. âItâs like, âTheyâre four girls, letâs come at themâ. As soon as itâs girls, they think, âOh you slag.ââ âWhen itâs men, itâs celebrated, but the minute women sexualise themselves and feel powerful doing it, weâre told to rein it in,â adds Jade. âWeâre conditioned to think that women are there to be these innocent and pure beings and the minute you step out of that, itâs carnage.â Little Mix, however, are not scared of embracing that carnage and of sparking a debate. For their show The Search, Jade describes how it was important for them to set the tone on respect when each new person auditioned. âBecause we are small women, itâs important to show people that they need to respect us, that we know what weâre talking about and we need to be listened to,â she says. âThereâs no nastiness,â continues Jesy about the show, which has been praised for modernising and freshening up the age-old TV format. âThereâs no making anyone feel uncomfortable for entertainment.â They also insisted a large part of their budget be dedicated to looking after the contestantsâ mental health, understanding, first hand, the pitfalls of talent shows. The Search is not their first attempt at diversifying their talent. As a group, they have LMX make-up line and also a perfume, Style By Little Mix. Subsequently, they have become expert businesswomen, refusing to make the mistakes of pop groups past, so often left completely penniless at the end of their careers. âI remember walking into an early label meeting and saying, âThis is who we want to be, this is the campaign we want, this is the imagery we want,ââ says Jade. âWe knew our brand from the get go and we very much steered that ship.â Itâs a long way from their (as Jesy puts it) âworking-class backgroundsâ. Since joining the band, each one has bought their mum a house and, while their tale is not entirely rags to riches, the jump from Primark to Prada in recent years has certainly been significant. When it comes to business, Perrie describes herself and Leigh-Anne as the ones who will often seek a compromise in difficult situations, while they send Jesy and Jade in when deals need to be made. âJesyâs the badass,â Perrie laughs. âWhenever Iâm scared, Iâll stand behind her. Sheâs the one who puts her foot down in a boardroom full of men and says, âItâs going to be this way.â But we pick our battles. We donât just argue about every decision â itâs when we feel we have to.â âNobody could say that we are difficult, and if they do, theyâre lying,â says Leigh-Anne adamantly. Adds Jesy: âWe know what we want, and we know what kids want.â Little Mix have lived over a third of their lives in the spotlight. Theyâve seen how things work, how things donât, and theyâve learnt how to cope with it all. The lows may have been spectacularly low, but the highs have surpassed any of their expectations. Their story is not your classic fairytale, but itâs one they have learnt they can write their own ending for. If the Little Mix I meet today is anything to go by, I wouldnât expect that ending to come any time soon. Little Mixâs new album Confetti is out now. Their movie LM5: The Tour Film will be in cinemas nationwide on 21 and 22 November.

If I missed one let me know, Iâll find it.

Legend of the Six (AO3 Link)
The Six are a legendary group of warriors who have one goal in mind - usurp the Glorious King Henry VIII. This - for better or for worse - is their story, told by the survivors and friends who knew of them.

Phantoms Canât Help Me More Than You
They wouldnât care, she convinces herself. Itâll be fine. She looked down at the not-busy street; barely anyone was on it. It was as if the world was frozen for the moment, and it was just her. Or, at least, it would have been, if it wasnât for a woman in gold.
Under Stars We Both Can See
âOh, hi, Jane.â Katherine perks up immediately and sits up on the couch, leaning against the backrest as she stares over it to look at Catherine Parr, who was currently on the phone with whom she can only assume is one person. âHowâs Greece?â
