Essentials You Need to Become a Web Developer
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Mastery
Text Editor/Integrated Development Environment (IDE): Popular choices include Visual Studio Code, Sublime Text.
Version Control/Git: Platforms like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket allow you to track changes, collaborate with others, and contribute to open-source projects.
Responsive Web Design Skills: Learn CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Flexbox and master media queries
Understanding of Web Browsers: Familiarize yourself with browser developer tools for debugging and testing your code.
Front-End Frameworks: for example : React, Angular, or Vue.js are powerful tools for building dynamic and interactive web applications.
Back-End Development Skills: Understanding server-side programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby , php) and databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
Web Hosting and Deployment Knowledge: Platforms like Heroku, Vercel , Netlify, or AWS can help simplify this process.
Basic DevOps and CI/CD Understanding
Soft Skills and Problem-Solving: Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Confidence in Yourself: Confidence is a powerful asset. Believe in your abilities, and don't be afraid to take on challenging projects. The more you trust yourself, the more you'll be able to tackle complex coding tasks and overcome obstacles with determination.

I come across a great site to learn coding, I don’t see a lot of people talking about it tho. (There is an app too!)
This site has python 101 for free (and many another, tho course from 102 and up aren’t free)
Its has a cute design and great at explaining the small details that some teachers don’t explain ✨
There is also many exercises in each chapter of the lessons.
You can check more about it from there official site ✨
Happy coding you all 🫶🏻

Due to recent experiences, I am feeling an urge to make an anti-drug-style PSA except it's warning impressionable machine-learning-curious teens to never, ever try a thing called "Huggingface transformers Trainer"
Not. Even. Once.
#and don't even get me started on “unsloth”#this week i learned what “unsloth” actually does when you import it and... man.#i thought i'd seen the worst of “hacky brittle 'it-just-works' (by doing the most cursed shit imaginable) ML python code” but no.#no. unsloth was Worse#and huggingface Trainer is bad enough by itself#did you know it has 131 (one hundred and thirty one!) config arguments and yet it cannot log *more than one loss number at once*#(for like multitask training or whatever)#i don't just mean it's hard to do - i mean its logging mechanism is built from the ground up on the assumption you would never do this.#you'd have to rewrite a bunch of internals to get it working - i.e. basically write a new nontrivial feature on HF's behalf#and just writing your own damn training loop is easier than that lol#it's not that hard kids. take it from me. dataset + dataloader + model(*args) + loss.backward() + opt.step() + opt.zero_grad(). that's it#it'll take you 30 minutes and save you a billion hours down the road#i do not understand computers#(is a category tag)

Coding resource!
exercism.org
A free website where you get specific problems to methodically learn small concepts of a programming language. Do 10 minutes to 1 hour every day, and then you will keep practicing every day, and you will be able to use the skills you learn in your real projects. They walk you through the problem all the way, and it's a super good way to learn!

#rowlet#welcome to the seventh generation. the things i do for you all. i just had to learn the structure of the code of collada files#so that i could stop making these bitches too shiny to see their eyes so that i could continue doing this#because i am a developer and not a 3d modeler#so it's easier for me to edit the code than it is for me to learn how to use fuckin blender#so i'm probably gonna write up a little script in python to Un-Shinify any models that i get to make it easier for me#but anyway! now that that's out of the way. this is probably one of my least favorite starters#just being honest. i like popplio a LOT and litten more than this at least#it's not that i dislike it‚ i just find that it's a little……… less. than the other two starters of this region#it's still cute and i like the sounds it makes. it is definitely a circle#and like that's awesome. but i like litten and popplio more :/ sorry to that one anon who hated all the water starters but also not sorry#they killed me like twenty billion times so i'm gonna like whatever water starters i want

November 8th Journal
Looking through my to-do lists this month, I'm realizing that part of the reason why I'm not able to cross things off my list so easily is because the points I add to my list are fairly ambiguous and don't have a clear finish point. For instance, when I would write "learn binary trees on Python"; well what does that mean? Having actual actionable and completable items on my to-do list helps to better set daily goals for myself as well as to actually complete those goals. It often get intimidated seeing such large tasks that I didn't know how to approach so breaking those down for myself has made a world's difference. Yes, yes I'm a yapper.
To-do: 🪶Data course 4.3 🪶Data course 4.4 🪶Data course assignment 1 - unit 3 🪶Data course assignment 2 - unit 4 🪶Type out the rest of my notes 🪶Add visuals to my notes 🪶Finish text-based slot machine game 🪶Latin level 2 🪶Some data tasks for work

I'm currently learning React and I'm taking a 13-hour course. I can't keep this website to myself because it's truly amazing. It's perfect, it's free, and there are other courses out there with much less interaction and smoothness that make you pay a lot.
The website I'm talking about is Scrimba. I highly recommend it for anyone starting their front-end journey. I'm confident that no one will disagree with me on this.
Have a great day! <3

Augmented assignment operators in python
Augmented assignment operators in Python combine addition and assignment in one statement. Instead of writing a = a + 1, you can write a += 1. This can make your code more concise and readable.
There are many augmented assignment operators in Python, including:
+= (addition)
-= (subtraction)
*= (multiplication)
/= (division)
//= (floor division)
%= (modulus)
**= (exponentiation)
&= (bitwise AND)
|= (bitwise OR)
^= (bitwise XOR)
<<= (bitwise left shift)
>>= (bitwise right shift)
Augmented assignment operators can be used with any Python variable, including numbers, strings, lists, and dictionaries.
Here are some examples of how to use augmented assignment operators in Python:
Python
# Add 1 to the variable a a = 1 a += 1 # Subtract 2 from the variable b b = 10 b -= 2 # Multiply 3 by the variable c c = 5 c *= 3 # Divide 4 by the variable d d = 10 d /= 4 # Floor divide 5 by the variable e e = 10 e //= 5 # Take the modulus of 6 by the variable f f = 10 f %= 6 # Raise 7 to the power of 2 g = 7 g **= 2 # Perform a bitwise AND operation on the variables h and i h = 10 i = 5 h &= i # Perform a bitwise OR operation on the variables j and k j = 10 k = 5 j |= k # Perform a bitwise XOR operation on the variables l and m l = 10 m = 5 l ^= m # Perform a bitwise left shift on the variable n by 1 bit n = 10 n <<= 1 # Perform a bitwise right shift on the variable o by 1 bit o = 10 o >>= 1
Augmented assignment operators can be a powerful tool for writing concise and readable Python code. They can be used with any Python variable, and they can be used to perform a variety of arithmetic and bitwise operations.
