According to the Russian News Agency, in an interview, Putin's presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev claims Russia helped Trump win the Presidential election and makes a veiled threat that Trump must now deliver the agreed-upon quid pro quo.

His exact words: "To achieve success in the election, Donald Trump relied on certain forces to which he has corresponding obligations. As a responsible person, he will be obliged to fulfill them."

No mainstream media source or U.S. elected official has addressed this interview as of yet (Nov. 11, 2024).

This all comes after a Russian TV network aired nude photos from Melania Trump’s modeling days seemingly as a way of showing Trump who’s pulling the strings.

Putin offers Brazil new term at BRICS bank

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed on Thursday (Oct. 24) that he has proposed extending Brazil’s leadership of the BRICS bank for another five-year term, with Dilma Rousseff remaining at the helm of the bloc’s key financial institution. Rousseff’s current term is set to end in July 2025.

“Russia has proposed extending Brazil's presidency of the BRICS bank, along with Mrs. Rousseff's term as its president. Considering that Brazil chairs the G20 this year, it will take over the BRICS leadership from us next year,” said the President of the Russian Federation.

According to the rules of the New Development Bank (NDB), each BRICS member country appoints the institution's president for a five-year term. Under the current rotation, Russia is set to nominate the next president of the NDB.

In the vid above from France 24 we see how Ukraine re-engineered an agricultural drone to hit Russian targets with heavier payloads than similar drones. They are relatively short range but highly effective.

Because they are only used at night and rely on thermal imaging they are called Vampire drones.

Putin and the head of NDB, Dilma Rousseff discuss Global South development at the BRICS Summit

The 16th BRICS Summit began Tuesday (22) with new members; this edition has the most extensive number of leaders present

The 16th BRICS Summit officially began on Tuesday (22), bringing together the largest number of leaders of any previous edition. This marks the first summit in the group's expanded format, including new members from Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. 

The first day features intense bilateral meetings, with Russian President Vladimir Putin meeting New BRICS Development Bank (NDB) President Dilma Rousseff and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the meeting, Rousseff stressed that the expansion of the group and the development of projects between the countries of the Global South are priority themes for the New BRICS Development Bank. 

“I hope that we can have a greater expansion of the BRIC countries to the countries of the Global South and that we can define the new paths that we should take in the coming years,” she said. 

Vladimir Putin, for his part, said that increasing payments in the national currencies of the BRICS countries will boost the independence of the  members and help reduce geopolitical risks. 

"Increased payments in local currencies make it possible to reduce debt service payments, increase the independence of the BRICS member countries and minimize geopolitical risks and, as far as possible in today's world, free economic development from politics," Putin noted.
