A Golden Treasury for the Children of God
by Carl Heinrich von Bogatzky
Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean, wash me and I shall he whiter than snow. - Psalms 51:7
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities; - Psalms 51:2
Though your sins, be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. - Isaiah 1:18
I have blotted out as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and as a cloud thy sins. Return unto me, for I have redeemed thee. - Isaiah 44:22
We must not keep away from Christ on account of our stumblings and manifold faults, if we will not come under the law again; but by humbling ourselves directly, we are to crave pardon in his blood, By delaying this, our case will be worse. But the sooner it is done, the sooner we shall be forgiven. The Lord not imputing those sins to us, which are sincerely repented of, our soul returns to its rest again. And instead of falling into carnal security (as some may think) it will rather strengthen our faith and make us more confident. Hasten, therefore, and come as soon and as well as thou canst. He will receive thee, if thou couldst but creep.
O Lord, I fall before thy face My only refuge is thy grace; No bleeding beast, nor flood, nor sea Can wash the dismal stain away.
Jesus, my God, thy blood alone, Has power sufficient to atone: Thy blood can make me white as snow; No Jewish types could cleanse me so.

~O~John 16:33~O~
"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have troubles. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Everything isn't going to be all good, all the time. God's word tells us that we will have troubles.
But God is still good! He loves us all so much and He created each one of us with a purpose.
God created humans to have free will and to be able to make our own decisions for ourselves; He doesn't want to force us to do anything. And because of that free will, sadly, the world is filled with sin, depression, anxiety, etc.
Angels had free will as well; and because of that, Lucifer wanted to be like, or even higher, than God. Lucifer had to be kicked out of heaven, and sadly, many angels left/fell with him. Now Lucifer is Satan, and he and his demons (the fallen angels) are trying to make the world filled with anxiety, depression, troubles, problems, etc., and they're trying to pull people away from God.
These things that are happening in the world are NOT of God; they are of the devil, and God doesn't want these things on you. You just have to come to Him and ask Him to help you, and He will.
Having troubles in this world doesn't mean that God isn't good. We aren't perfect; but God can MAKE us perfect.
Psalm 51:7 "Take away my sin, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow."
(I don't know who needs to hear this rn, but I feel like someone needs to hear this message.)

The Three R's For Staying Happy: Repent, Refresh, Renew!

Developing a Heart that Fears God
Cultivating the Fear of God as a Lifestyle This past Sunday I had the privilege of teaching a class on the fear of God. This was my third session of about 8 in the class. Today’s assignment for me as a teacher was “how do we cultivate a life that demonstrates a fear of God?” That is a great question to ask. If the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, how could it not be wise to ask that…

struggling with Lust?
1. Recognize Lust as a sin. (Matthew 5:27-28)
2. Avoid triggers (Psalm 101:3)
3. Establish Accountability partners (James 5:16)
4. Move away from sin and move toward God. (Galatians 5:16-17)
5. Study Purity in the Bible (1 Peter 1:14-16)
6. Pray (James 5:16)
7. Seek God’s forgiveness (Psalm 51:1)
It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God.
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

THOUGHTS:
======================
Many of us think we are the ones who take care of our own lives or that we have ourselves to thank for why we are in the position we are in our lives. Some of the wealthiest people in the world will thank themselves or their parents but will never thank God for placing them where they are.
I remember just going through my life and doing whatever I wanted. As I gave my life to Christ, he made me see some of the things I was doing were foolish and that how I acted was foolish. At the time, I didn’t see it as foolish; I had just seen it as my life, but I felt loneliness, sadness, bitterness, and anger. To escape those feelings, I would smoke weed and drink to run away from the pain. As I did this, yes, it felt like I was getting released from it.
Still, I didn’t realize what it was doing to me.we must understand that God watches over our life even if we aren’t his; he loves us so much and desires to keep us safe. Still, if we are doing whatever we want, sometimes he might let us do what we want to do so we can have our way; I know countless people who would say if it weren’t for God, I wouldn’t be here, and I'm one to say this.
Psalm 91:9-12 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up on their hands lest you strike your foot against a stone.
When we make God our safeguard and tower from the enemy and other things, he won't allow anything to befall us. Nothing will enter into our life unless he wills it. He will even have angels to guard our every step; many of us are so busy worried about other people and what they are doing that we aren’t looking at what God is doing in our life or could do. We must take our time, get under the shadows of the wings of God, and stay protected, not doing anything that will cause us any danger but safely waiting on God's commands.
Proverbs 12:21 No ill befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble
Nothing will come into our lives when we are the righteous. That’s why we must live a righteous life; we need to pray, read our word, and make sure we live a life of holiness because it benefits us in serving the lord with all our hearts and souls. Some of us wait until we are in trouble and ask God to help us, or we wait until we use all our resources to serve the lord when we need to do it now while we are well in our bodies; God isn’t asking for a whole lot he’s asking for us to be loyal to him like he's loyal to us he's asking for us to love as he does and to do it in a holy way.
Deuteronomy 31:6: Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you
We don’t have to fear over anyone because God goes with us; we can go in courage, and we don’t have fear either; he will never leave us or forsake us, and the lord will protect us from what comes our way lot of times we worry, and we hide from things that could happen I remember people use to be afraid of Covid no one wanted to get it. People were so scared, and I wasn’t because whatever was meant for me was meant for me, and if I got it, that was what the lord willed for me. And of course, I was being careful and protecting myself, but I didn’t worry about it because God had it for me; we can’t live our lives in fear.
Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me
Even though we are in trouble, God preserves our life; he uses his hand to block whatever the enemy has against us; the enemy can want anything to come against us, but if the lord says no, he won’t allow it to happen, we can’t be afraid my friends God got us in his precious arms we must trust that he does and that he won’t harm us at all.
Fear is the number one thing that the enemy uses against us so that we can be afraid and won’t move or we won’t do what the lord commands us because we are filled with fear; the enemy uses this, and when he does, he has us trapped but if we ignore what the enemy is doing and we place our trust in God we won’t fear the little things the enemy wants to do! Always trust your every step in the Lord's hand; the lord is our creator and provider; he will never leave us in a place of fear and will never bring on fear.
2 Samuel 22:3-4 My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies
God is our steady foundation and our shield; he’s worthy of praise because we are limited to do just one thing, but he’s not; he’s our stronghold, salvation, and refuge; what we can’t do, he can ,we can take every weapon and try to protect ourselves, but he doesn’t need that all we needs is his power some of us has forgotten who it is that we serve. We serve a God that can do the impossible, and we serve a God that can take on and defeat anything; don’t allow people and things to tell you any different.
*** Today, we learned about how great God is and how he can do precisely what we can’t, but he gives us the power to be strong and trust God has every way to give us to be strong, but do we have every intention in believing he is who he says he is! I have been afraid, and I have been so afraid that I couldn’t see my way out of that fear, but when I believed, and I held on to my word, I realized that it’s nothing to fear because God is my refuge in a time of danger, he’s my strong hand against the enemy he’s everything and more.
Psalm 121:7-8 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep you going out, and you're coming in from this time forth and forevermore
It might seem like the enemy has you blocked in or that the enemy has the upper hand, but the lord will keep our life from destruction. He will keep our lives from danger. All we must do is trust in him and know that he has the way he has the key to our life. He has our life already planned over, but we must trust that whatever he has planned is in our best interest and that nothing will harm us because he’s our Father and loves us. Believe in and trust him today. If you don’t trust him, ask him to give you more time to trust him. Ask him to show you how you can trust him today.

PRAYER
=====================
Heavenly Father, thank you for everything for life, health, and strength; continue to love us and help us see you through everything, Lord; a lot of things that we go through, we are scared, and we don’t know what to do, but we know one thing we can do is hold onto your hand .Lord help us to hold onto you help us to seek you with our whole heart. We give you everything we give you our mind, body, and spirit. Show us how to trust you; show us how to lean on you. Lord we are sorry if we haven’t but take our fear and change it for your glory in Jesus' name, amen.

i decided to try something a little different. i often have these discussions in my head as i’m studying the Bible, but Apologetics can be heavy in text and hard to understand. so i thought.. well, i’m an artist. maybe i can make this more palatable. (the place they are at is my mindscape for prayer)
there are tons of places to go from here, and maybe i will in the future. but as someone who is coming out of a foundation of anxiety, this particular message is important to me. there is no condemnation for those that trust in the Lord and His work. He is capable of helping us and carrying us to the finish line 💙
transcript:
10: Y'know Lord, a lot of people read Matthew 7:21-23 and get scared. “Not everyone who calls out to Me, 'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Jesus: “On judgment day many will say to M, 'Lord! Lord! We prophesied in Your name and performed miracles in Your name!' But I will reply, 'I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who break God's laws.' “ Let's think about this. What are the “works” of God?
10: Uhm.. oh! John 6:29, “Jesus told them, 'This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the One He has sent.' “ So then, they didn't really believe in You? You said You don't know them.
Jesus: Now read Matthew 12:50.
10: “Anyone who does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother!”
Jesus: My family are those who have been adopted through the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:15-16 says, “You received God's Spirit when He adopted you as His children (…) For His Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children.” These are the ones that I “know.” As for My Father's will-
10: Oh, I know this one. John 6:40, “For it is My Father's will that all who see His Son and believe in Him shall have eternal life.” So essentially, the people saying “Lord, Lord” weren't believers because they trusted in their works to save them, instead of Your work on the cross. And You said You don't know them to prove they don't have the Holy Spirit.
Jesus: They are similar to the crowd I speak to in Revelation 3:15-21.
10: Ah, the dreaded Lukewarmers. “You say, 'I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing.' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.” Yikes.
Jesus: And what do I tell them to buy from Me in verse 18?
10: White garments, among other things..
Jesus: Psalm 51:7 says, “Purify me from my sins and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” And 1 John 1:7 says, “The blood of Jesus, (God's) Son, cleanses us from all sin.” You, for example, are already in possession of white garments. My blood through My sacrifice cleansed them when you believed.
10: So the Lukewarmers don't believe in You either, because they trust in their wealth and possessions instead of You. But they say they're Christians just because they do to Church, or because their families are Christian.
Jesus: Born Again believers with the Holy Spirit never have to fear rejection from Me or My Father. “And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of those He has given Me, but that I should raise them up on the last day.” (John 6:3) As John 14:23 states, We will never take the Holy Spirit away once He's been given.
10: Once “Born Again”, no “unborning again” happening later, ey?
Jesus: Hahah! “No, I will not abandon you as orphans- I will come to you.” (John 14:18)
Jesus: “When everything is ready, I will come and get you so that you will always be with Me where I am.” (John 14:3)
