by Amy Boucher Pye | When I moved to England, the American holiday of Thanksgiving became just another Thursday in November. Although I created a feast the weekend after, I longed to be with family and friends on the day. Yet I understood that my longings weren’t unique to me. We all yearn to be with people dear to us on special occasions and holidays...

It is better to live for love, than to die for pride
There is a saying that goes “it’s better to rule in hell, than to serve in Heaven.” I don’t think people really understand what hell is like if that’s something someone would proudly say. Hubris is a crazy thing and I’ve taken a few lumps because of it over the years. There is no ruler in hell, it was created for Satan and his angels for eternal punishment, The lake of fire is not a place you’d…

Psalms 19:13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.
What is great transgression? Presumptuous sins! So much for politics, social media and the news! A generation that thinks its so perfect that presumptuousness is a badge of honor.
What’s happen to our Courts, our FBI, the Presidency, for a man to think he is a woman? No boundary, to respect for personal rights or the division of Governmental powers.
Proverbs 30:12 There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, yet are not washed from their filthiness.

Question: “What does it mean to surrender to God?” Answer: This world is a battleground. Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:17-19), the world God created has been in conflict with Him (Romans 8:20-22). Satan is called the "god of this world" (2 Corinthians 4:4), and due to Adam’s sin, we are born on his team (Romans 5:12). John Bunyan pictured this conflict in his allegory The Holy War. Prince Emmanuel besieges the city of Mansoul to wrest it from the power of Diabolus. Unfortunately, the citizens of Mansoul are blindly committed to Diabolus and fight against Emmanuel, to their own detriment.
When we reach the age when we can make moral choices, we must choose whether to follow our own sinful inclinations or to seek God (see Joshua 24:15). God promises that when we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). When we find Him, we have a choice to make: do we continue following our own inclinations, or do we surrender to His will?
Surrender is a battle term. It implies giving up all rights to the conqueror. When an opposing army surrenders, they lay down their arms, and the winners take control from then on. Surrendering to God works the same way. God has a plan for our lives, and surrendering to Him means we set aside our own plans and eagerly seek His. The good news is that God’s plan for us is always in our best interest (Jeremiah 29:11), unlike our own plans that often lead to destruction (Proverbs 14:12). Our Lord is a wise and beneficent victor; He conquers us to bless us.
There are different levels of surrender, all of which affect our relationship with God. Initial surrender to the drawing of the Holy Spirit leads to salvation (John 6:44; Acts 2:21). When we let go of our own attempts to earn God’s favor and rely upon the finished work of Jesus Christ on our behalf, we become a child of God (John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 5:21). But there are times of greater surrender during a Christian’s life that bring deeper intimacy with God and greater power in service. The more areas of our lives we surrender to Him, the more room there is for the filling of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we exhibit traits of His character (Galatians 5:22). The more we surrender to God, the more our old self-worshiping nature is replaced with one that resembles Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Romans 6:13 says that God demands that we surrender the totality of our selves; He wants the whole, not a part: “Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.” Jesus said that His followers must deny themselves (Mark 8:34)—another call to surrender.
The goal of the Christian life can be summed up by Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Such a life of surrender is pleasing to God, results in the greatest human fulfillment, and will reap ultimate rewards in heaven (Luke 6:22-23).

Proverbs 2:10-22
10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

The Light of the Gospel
1 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. — 2 Corinthians 4 | New International Version (NIV) Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV® Copyright ©1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.® All rights reserved worldwide. Being Content In God

+ Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

SUBJECT: : Being Content In God
=========================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM SEEKING GOD DAY AND NIGHT
I AM KEEPING MYSELF FREE FROM MONEY
I AM BEAUTIFULLY, WONDERFULLY MADE
I AM FREE
********************************
THOUGHTS:
=======================
 There's so much in the world we can have. There's so much to buy; so many different things are coming out, and we talked a few weeks ago about being content. Still, we all find it hard to be content in a world that offers all these new things. Some of us have never had anything so expensive, and some of us have, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want more.
      Still, some of us realize that having less is better, and some of us haven't caught that idea of having less because we feel that if we have less, I'm poor, and that’s not true. That means you know the value of your time, and you know the value of what this stuff means, which is nothing. I have never been without anything, and I remember that one time briefly in my life when I needed help, no one wouldn’t help me. No one cared to, so I had to struggle by myself.
    I wasn’t a Christian at the time, but I felt and knew I needed him, but I was too stubborn to ask. I was too stubborn to go to him because I knew if I went to him, I couldn’t play this back-and-forth game with him; my dad said, Lui, don’t play games with God if you for him walk that line if your not for him, don’t do it. I always lived my life like that, but what I learned from not having those things I thought I needed ,that I didn’t need them that even in that part of my life, I realized he was there.
  God is going to be there for us. Regardless, some of us refuse to let him in; even though we DON’T let him in, we are still God's children. Some of us feel I have all these treasures, and I have all these things. Why do I need him???
 Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
   The word tells us not to lay our treasures on earth because things here will be destroyed or stolen. I used to have this violin. I spent $5,000 on it was #12 in the world. I named him Allan and bought this costly bow made of horsehair. I stopped playing, and my parent packed it up in a bin. And one day I went to get it out because I wanted to play with it, the bow was broken because it’s a type of bug that will get on the hairs of the bow and will destroy it and I forgot about that, that expensive bow is gone now I must get it restrung.
  Do you see, no matter what I did to protect it from blocking those bugs or trying to block anything from harming it, the things of this earth still got to it, and that’s what the lord is telling us today; it doesn’t matter how much you protect the things here, it doesn’t matter if you have security stand outside your house, or you put something in a safe to keep it from robbers it don’t matter what we do it still won’t last.
   Proverbs 11:4 Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
  The Lord is telling us today that riches won't do us any good in the day of wrath, it won't save us from hell, it won't help us with God, he doesn’t care what we have in our account. We must leave our riches behind and allow righteousness to save us from death. Walking a life free from the pride of life and the lust of the flesh is what we must do to enter heaven. We must live a life worthy of him and not what we want to do.
  Nothing will save us from what will happen, but God can protect us; he’s the only one who can keep us from spending eternity in hell; he’s the only one who can comfort us through our sorrow. He’s the only one who can give us what we need, but we shouldn’t expect wealth from God. We should expect , compassion, mercy, and grace because that’s what we need most of all; it would be nice to have a large sum of money, but where is your heart right now if we die? Where will we go?
  Ecclesiastes 5:10 Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This, too, is meaningless.
  Even if we have everything and all the money in the world, we won’t be content, look at famous movie stars; they aren’t happy they are just rich, and we have seen time and time again they are just happy not filled with joy they are just miserable and they are happy for a moment not for a life time what we can get from God can fill us with so much joy for a lifetime but if we think for one minute that money can save us, we are wrong.
 ***Today, we learned that we need God to save us and that Jesus' blood, which he shed in Calvary, is all we need. What saves us is believing in Jesus and knowing he loves us so much. The Holy Spirit wants us to understand that we can’t protect ourselves from the things in this life, but we can save ourselves by giving our lives to God.
   The enemy wants us to think we need everything to live and that money makes us happy and sure it will buy things we want, but that’s about it, but the things we buy can’t save us from hell, nor can they change us, and complete us ,when we see people that are about money and that’s all they talk about they have issues with this, and this is what we should avoid doing is becoming people that are about money because money can come and go but God love stays forever . ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

========================
Heavenly Father, we thank you for everything; we ask you to give us your love and strength; help us not look for money to complete us but look for you and your grace and mercy. Father, please remove the spirit of mammon away from our lives; help us to focus on you and not anything else; lord, forgive us of the sins we have done; help us to seek you day and night; lord, we love you and thank you. The gospel of Love
youtube
This song posted above highlights the gospel in a nutshell the world needs Jesus, and the world needs Jesus to wrap his loving arms around the world, and the arms of Jesus are the church.
Christians are ofen accused of spreading hate, we Christians need to start spreading the love and the good news message of the gospel of love, to the four corners of the earth, not just with words but also practically, the world needs more love and less hate.
By the way, if you are a Christian and you are spreading hate, you have missed the point of the Gospel.
Cool bible verses on the subject
John 3.16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
Galatians 6:9-10: And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Proverbs 19:17: Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have
Hebrews 13:16: It is more blessed to give than to receive
Hebrews 6:10: God is fair; he will not forget the work you did and the love you showed for him by helping his people
Proverbs 22:9: A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor
Romans 12:13: A true rule of charity, when we are no less touched with other men's wants than with our own, and having that feeling help them as much as we can
Our role model is Jesus
Philippians 2: 5-8 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus, Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!

We have to be very careful in these last days to watch over our hearts and pay attention to how we are responding to our sin - if the remorse we once felt is fading - or God forbid, gone - it we should immediately be on our face praying that God will turn our heart back toward Him and grant us repentance.
It is my experience that what I allow into my mind greatly affects my way of thinking - and how I am seeing sin.
The tv, the radio, the people we surround ourselves with - if that is not all coming in and we fail to meet with the Lord during the day -
we WILL fall.
We have to protect our ears and eyes from the brainwashing of this world.
Now more than ever.
The fear of God will keep us.
The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate. (Proverbs 3:18)
When all has been heard, the end of the matter is: fear God [worship Him with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is almighty God] and keep His commandments, for this applies to every person (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm. (Proverbs 19:23)

Holy, loving, faithful, gracious, compassionate, merciful, longsuffering God, is righteous, just and true, and so are all His judgments, in all the earth.
Thus says the Lord God: "I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain. On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell."
"And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it." (Ezekiel 17:22-24)
"Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested." (Revelation 15:3-4)
