The JL keeps trying to stop Captain Marvel from talking to the media (and it’s not working)

The jl held a meeting about marvel’s conduct with cops bc he got a little too excited and suplexed a cop completely fucking forgetting he’s a 7ft buff ass man (the video goes viral for months) and the press is having a fucking field day with this bc ‘Captain Marvel Hates The Government!’ ‘Justice League Member, Captain Marvel, Shows His True Colors…?’ ‘Fawcett Superhero Attacks Civilian!’ ‘Captain Marvel Sends Police Officer to ICU!’ ‘Philadelphia Hero Puts Public Servant In Coma’ and shit like that is on the front page of every newspaper, magazine, and tabloid for the next eight months at least

so they’re like ‘hey you gotta say something! The people think you hate the us government esp the police!’ and he’s just sitting there confused before he says very slowly and clearly ‘But I do…I fucking despise them’

Barry and Hal are fucking losing it bc this is the guy that says ‘darn!’ in the heat of battle and has said on multiple occasions ‘Well, that’s not very nice, now is it?’ to opponents that destroy worlds for fun

A family Christmas Part II. 2024

Bejeweled masks are inspired by photographs by Paul Koudounaris.

As the clock struck midnight on Christmas Eve, a strange chill, deeper than the winter's bite, settled over the room. The air crackled with an unseen energy. One by one, her ghosts materialized, their dark cloaked figures emerging from the shadows. Each wore a creepy mask, a grotesque and beautiful reflection of their creator's inner world.

A hush fell over the room, then a low, melodic hum, the sound of an ancient music box, long forgotten, winding itself up. The ghosts, their masks illuminated by the soft glow of the giant Christmas tree, began to move, their movements a graceful, eerie dance.

The atmosphere was thick with a strange warmth, a feeling of belonging that she had never experienced before. Her ghosts, her creations, were celebrating with her. They exchanged gifts – a delicately sculpted skull, a haunting poem etched onto a crumbling piece of parchment, a melody whispered on the wind.

For the first time in a long time, she felt seen, truly seen. Not for her eccentricities, not for her art, but for the lonely, yearning heart that beat within her chest. In the company of her ghostly friends, surrounded by the eerie beauty of their celebration, she finally felt at home.
