WiP - Okarun Mask (Dandadan)

Sometimes a design just speaks to you and you have the urge to craft... this is exactly what happened here. I always had a thing for masks and those teeth remind me so much of Kaneki's mask :')

I had to. Follow my progress below.

As you see above I first made a papercraft mock up of the mask and then transfered the pattern onto EVA Foam, then I cut a bunch of teeth while the contact glue was waiting to be dry enough.

I added the nosebridge then, I didn't use a pattern here I just ... estimated how it should look like.

Testing how many teeth I need (spoiler: I cut too many), i went for a less straight design because I felt like it.

Glueing the teeth went faster than I thought. I filled some gaps before I attached some foam clay.

I wanted to have a more rough tattered structure for the mask, like it was the curse/spirit of Granny wavering around it.

I filled in some more gaps before I added more structure with my rotary tool, the foam clay is fun to work with but details get lost when it dries.

Favorite part next: PAINT.

Damn I love painting things bonus points when I am allowed to smudge paints to have a used/weathered look in the end.

As you can see I added some red to make it seem like the mask is organic and not just static.

Adding more depth with pastels and almost done, magnets left and painting the back.

You can say whatever you want about the slasher fandom, but they have some of the most diverse YN's out there.

I don't think I've ever encountered a fandom where you can just be fully certain that you'll be able to find any type of reader in existence.

Plus Size Reader x Very Popular character? Eeh, maybe ten fics, eight of which were written in all lower case and without punctuation, but shit like Billy Loomis x Wendigo reader? Sure, give me an hour, and I'll probably find at least three.
