Absolutely over the moon about this mask from @missmonstermel . Quality practically drips from every aspect of it, from the beautiful painting to the care taken in the placement of the padding (of which there's a generous amount too). It's so comfortable and fun to wear I just have to make a costume for it now!

There are certain websites that are checked every Monday in regards to ToA. Sometimes because A Thing is expected to show up at some point and other times it's gone down/had a section disappeared and it's a good way to keep an eye on if it's back again or not. Netflix's backgrounds are one of those but they've not rotated in ages... Anyway! One of these websites was the Production area of Fury Galluzzi that disappeared a ways back now. While still absent last week, there was a surprise lack of error message in the best way today.

None of the artwork there previously has returned, they are safe and sound mind, but three new orthographics from 3Below did! They are going to be split into separate posts so everybody gets the spotlight. Will always be part of a design path thing at some point pulling everything we know together.

Some ink experiments with a pentel brush pen, primarily inspired by @missmonstermel , who was making some ink drawings lately with one that looked super fun to do. I looked up the pen and ordered one right away when I realised it was actually pretty cheap. It's so much nicer to 'draw' with than a standard brush.

The first was just on a piece of random cardboard I had to hand at the time. Went well until I smudged the eye at the last minute. The second I got out my old watercolour pads for.

My little Kobold is all finished! What a cutie!! I put so much love into this and I am so proud of how it all came together. Sculpted by hand with @monsterclayusa and cast in urethane. Somehow ended up being airbrush day today for these noggins. Still a bit more painting to go before that phase is done though. The Chophound (green one) only took me literally 6 years to get around and finish oops.

I just broke down crying at a sculpting video by @missmonstermel. Their work is so incredible, and so detailed, and I am so, so angry at my parents for discouraging my interest in costuming, puppetry, and art in general. I was told over and over and OVER again that I wouldn't make any money doing that (from my dad, who is a failed professional artist).

And now I feel like too much time has gone by, and my hands are now too unsteady, my mental and physical health too poor (from decades of directionless depression), that it's not worth starting over.

I turn 40 next year.

It's finally time for the last member of the Zeron Brotherhood, Zeron Omega! It's hard to pick a favourite though they inch out Alpha just a smidge for me. Unlike the rest they do not have a paint online making this the best reference we've ever had.

This orthographic is of course by Fury Galluzzi and the OG character designer is @missmonstermel!

The design thread for the Zeron's is mostly ready to go, just want to hold off a bit just in case Fruiz uploads anything regarding them. There's one piece that is currently only in miniature that would be fantastic to see in full view. Watch this space?

I have many collections. Some are old, some are ongoing. My first ever collections were Pokemon cards and figures, for example! These days, a friend of mine got me into pin collecting, but normally I'm more of an anime/game figure collector. The most impressive figure in my collection is the 27" limited edition real color version Devilman Crybaby statue. I can't remember what number mine is, but it's out of a hundred. The next most impressive is probably the FF16 Ifrit and Phoenix statue, but I still have that one in the box. I still collect plushies, often custom. I have a plush of Ranga from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime from etsy along with a shiny Lycanroc (Pokemon) plush. The Lycanroc is huge; at least three feet tall.

I'll collect anything art like I deem pretty. I have tarot cards partially for the art. I have art prints I bought at Disney. I have commissions that were shipped to me.

I have a strong desire to collect patches, but I don't have anything to put them on! I'd also like to add figures of my own characters to my collection, but that involves finding both sculptors and painters. It's so difficult to find the quality I want.

Oh, and I collect Halloween decorations that tickle my fancy. The first was back in high school, a surprisingly anatomically correct three headed dog. Yes, you read that correctly. My cerberus decoration is an in tact male. I've got a lamp post. Not sure if the radio is mine, but I did select it. A candelabra. But really, some partial costumes. A canine skull mask with a moving jaw and led eyes. An animatronic bone tail with remote control. I freaked people out with this get up one year and let me tell you, I am freaking proud. I also have one of missmonstermel's Anubot masks, but I don't have anything to complete the ensemble, so it has to wait. Most of my old theatrical grade costumes don't fit me anymore, but I have like... a hoard of costumes. And stories.

I have a bad habit of changing my collections often but recently I've been really into View-Masters, you know that plastic headset that showed you 3D images. I'm working on a site where I'm putting all my research (https://gruber.travel/) and buddy of mine made a special reel scanner that I'm getting next week. I'm really excited about it.
