he used the little ‘f’ fools, so ik he’s not talking about his faction.. but damn -> do you think Aha tried to recruit one once? And Sampo was sent to deliver the invitation?

or at the very least, was he sent to bring them to this tavern? i’m pretty sure all his stories are rooted in his experiences [which makes the ‘you can stay if you’re entertaining’ line extra interesting]

i wouldn’t be surprised if this ‘tavern’ was where Aha indoctrinated his Fools

This strip was actually somewhat difficult to draw. Ironically, putting this moment down as honestly as possible did trigger a smidge of my imposter syndrome. It felt like bragging, but I literally checked with MULTIPLE people who had been in the room, and while I didn't win, my name got an audible and excited pop when said. A few folks described it as if I had won the wet T-Shirt contest of the night. lol In that moment, all of the anxiety of the months leading up to all of this just... evaporated. Like the world's biggest sign, it just vanished from my stomach, and I felt amazing. Not winning did absolutely nothing to alter my elation in that moment and, as of writing this post 2 and a half weeks later, it honestly HASN'T really left yet.

Okay so something very different for me.

What if: Cat Noir/Adrien spent just a little longer gazing into Marinette's eyes. Instead of her being akumatized first, the butterfly went right for André. Marinette is stuck being Marinette when they are attacked, but with her ingenuity and Cat Noir's prowess they take down Glaciator, cataclysming the akuma. There's not too much damage, mostly just ice cream mess.

The use of cataclysm here is a lovely inversion of Cat Blanc for the audience.

Being attacked for their love actually makes both of them want to try all the harder. It's their little piece of happiness and they will fight for it.

I like to think about the silly connection I made between TMA’s Stranger, LOTM’s Fool Pathway, and HSR’s Path of Elation. Uncannily faceless people and monsters who laugh at misery and tragedy. My auto TMA sense when starting LOTM was like, oh yes, Klein is an avatar of the Stranger, and now that I’ve completed it, it became more like “Nikola Orsinov is a Sequence 4 Bizzaro Sorcerer”, “Sparkle is a Sequence 6 Faceless and an avatar of the Stranger.” also the fact that both The Unknowing and Klein’s apotheosis ritual made people in the vicinity 90% stupider. Except one is “we and the skinless puppets rave so hard the fear god descends” and the other is a bunch of gods fighting in some poor guy’s living room so loudly that he wakes up.

Ok, Sampo is a character that caught my eye in the beginning of hrs, and I would love to write something about him, but he was so mysterious that I did not want to jump into conclusions. I believed ( like a lot of theorists) that he was a follower of Aha the Aeon of Elation, but I am pretty sure that that will be confirmed in 2.0 ( again i am just guessing) after seeing the trailer. For me, he stand out as a character, his unique personality, his odd nature, it would be very interesting.
