or at the very least, was he sent to bring them to this tavern? i’m pretty sure all his stories are rooted in his experiences [which makes the ‘you can stay if you’re entertaining’ line extra interesting]

This strip was actually somewhat difficult to draw. Ironically, putting this moment down as honestly as possible did trigger a smidge of my imposter syndrome. It felt like bragging, but I literally checked with MULTIPLE people who had been in the room, and while I didn't win, my name got an audible and excited pop when said. A few folks described it as if I had won the wet T-Shirt contest of the night. lol In that moment, all of the anxiety of the months leading up to all of this just... evaporated. Like the world's biggest sign, it just vanished from my stomach, and I felt amazing. Not winning did absolutely nothing to alter my elation in that moment and, as of writing this post 2 and a half weeks later, it honestly HASN'T really left yet.

I like to think about the silly connection I made between TMA’s Stranger, LOTM’s Fool Pathway, and HSR’s Path of Elation. Uncannily faceless people and monsters who laugh at misery and tragedy. My auto TMA sense when starting LOTM was like, oh yes, Klein is an avatar of the Stranger, and now that I’ve completed it, it became more like “Nikola Orsinov is a Sequence 4 Bizzaro Sorcerer”, “Sparkle is a Sequence 6 Faceless and an avatar of the Stranger.” also the fact that both The Unknowing and Klein’s apotheosis ritual made people in the vicinity 90% stupider. Except one is “we and the skinless puppets rave so hard the fear god descends” and the other is a bunch of gods fighting in some poor guy’s living room so loudly that he wakes up.

Thoughts!

Ok, Sampo is a character that caught my eye in the beginning of hrs, and I would love to write something about him, but he was so mysterious that I did not want to jump into conclusions. I believed ( like a lot of theorists) that he was a follower of Aha the Aeon of Elation, but I am pretty sure that that will be confirmed in 2.0 ( again i am just guessing) after seeing the trailer. For me, he stand out as a character, his unique personality, his odd nature, it would be very interesting.

He was eighteen. It was two weeks after graduation. And Sirius Black had finally determined to see what it was like.

He'd left his flat one Friday evening, determined to make it happen, confident in his ability to make it so as he headed out into the night.

He knew what areas of London to go to. Although it took him some time to settle on the pub. He'd walked in, alone, breezed over to the bar and ordered a drink, fishing the Muggle money from his jacket pocket and slidding it across the bar.

He had taken a swig of his drink. He hated beer but without Lily to guide him he was pretty clueless as to what was best to order. He cast his eyes around and caught a tall, young man with red-brown hair watching him from the corner.

Sirius smiled flirtatiously in his direction and took another drink.

It was fumbled, heated, tasting like beer and the cigarettes the Muggle man had been smoking. Although it was undoubtedly different, Sirius felt the same thrill as he had with girls, pressed close in the toilet cubicle, the man's firm body against his.

Eventually, Sirius untangled himself from the man's arms, and as he tried to pull away he heard him whisper, hotly, "Come back to mine."

Sirius felt the temptation, the promise of what that invitation meant, the thrill of what might shift as a result. But, try as he might, he wasn't quite ready and he gave a crooked smile and said, roguishly, "Not tonight, hmm? You can have too much of a good thing."

Later, Sirius lay on his bed in the dark, turning the events of the evening over in his mind. It had finally confirmed a long held suspicion about his desire for men as well as for women. He felt exhilarated, transformed by all that had happened... and how different things could be as a result....

But there was something else too. At the back of his mind, whispering, replacing the elation with a gnawing in his stomach. Two amber eyes. That slow, cautious smile. The promise and the hesitation in the lightest touch upon his arm. There was the confirmation, too, of something else. Something he had tried to explain away for years. Which now, after his evening of experimentation, had a very different complexion indeed.

"Shit," Sirius groaned to himself, turning over in the bed and burying his head into his pillow.
