Vote 2024: The polls have closed and after nine months of what is pretty much the longest season of the voting tournament, the moment we all have been waiting for and when all the votes are counted, we can project that Moon Tobin from The Great North will be elected the 12th Champion of the Battle of the Week Voting Tournament. The Great North is once again champions with Moon Tobin taking the crown, defeating Jolyne Cujoh from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and for the second time, The Great North has silenced the doubters over at the cartoon community. A huge congrats for the JoJo's camp for making things competitive going into this year. And the biggest congrats to them all for The Great North and now Champion-Elect Moon Tobin.

boy, did this one take a while!! whenever i got very stuck on a part, i made myself close the file and go do another study to get over the wall, so this was done on and off over a few weeks. the timelapse for this one is long, and inelegant, but if i just showed you the stuff that came together in a 'pretty' way i'd be doing the both of us a disservice

there's a part very near the end of the timelapse where it looks like nothing is happening. it is, it's just very zoomed in. i hand drew the marquis outlines on the shards

the thing is that yes ofc paul gross/benton fraser is objectively an attractive human being to many many people and that that is a running joke both in general and on this show specifically but

david marciano as ray vecchio is like. peak to me. s1 ray vecchio with his flashy shirts and ties, s2 vecchio with his understated but tasteful turtlenecks and open shirts, the fact that he's hairy, the whole "oh I'll drive you around/pay for things/make sure you take care of yourself" energy, his cute bedroom eyes, his biteable nose, the fact that he's much bigger in s2 than he lets on with some of those silly oversized jackets he wears, the fact that he lets himself be mostly bald in s2 good stuff gooood stuff

like. i get it. i get that the show will make jokes about how ray has no idea how fraser keeps having all these people swooning over him (i think it's even more to do with old-school charm and a naive veneer vs ray's abrasive nature) but the thing is, this is why it's so easy for me to imagine fraser swooning over him in one way or another, because he reserves all his charm and wit and softness for him and like... i think he's hot

my beautiful boy is so obsessed with why people keep falling for fraser, he doesn't realise fraser knows he's the best catch in chicago

Vote 2024: After a long two weeks and a few additional days, we have finally have the results in the first match of the Semifinals in the 2024 Battle of the Week Voting Tournament and when all the votes are counted, for the second time in two years, The Great North is heading back to the Finals. Moon Tobin is the 2024 Battle of the Week Voting Tournament. Winning the nomination and denying Louise Belcher a trip back to the Finals, thus dethroning her. And for the twelfth consecutive year, we will have a new champion come December. Moon Tobin defeats Louise Belcher at the polls 35-34 and advances to the Final Round and will await either Jolyne Cujoh or Rin Okumura on December 1.

Binah encourages you, silently, during difficult work. she knows how diligent you are. she's seen you working hour after hour, late, late, late, for nights on end. the other agents tend to retire after dinner. not you, always at your desk organizing documents or filling out papers. there's never nothing to be done in such a facility. it's a bit lonely being in such an empty room, the only light shining over your spot as your pen scratches away at the parchment. perhaps it is necessary, loneliness. why else would you still be working, instead of spending time with your coworkers. you try not to think about it. the building is already cold enough. no room left for those types of thoughts clogging up your head.

the Sephirah of Extraction watches you quietly, the gold of her earring glinting as she barely tilts her head. her footsteps are nearly silent, yet you can still hear them. anyone worth their salt in Extraction knows the sound of Binah's footsteps. don't they? perhaps not, after all. you've seen your coworkers jump in alarm when you stayed perfectly at ease. she stands next to you, calmly examining what you've done with a critical eye before nodding. you won't get a verbal word of praise. she's not quite soft enough for that yet, her heart tangled up in sharp thorns that you're slowly picking apart. but her hand briefly comes up to rest on your head before pulling away, and it's like she's just given you the fondest compliment.
