My argument for the fact that Kremy sang Ma Belle Evangeline to himself when looking at Gideon:

While I appreciate a lot of the good intentions of people behind award shows, and sincere voting from peers and artists and people who do want things to be better (my experiences have been positive, i've even been a judge on an award show one year), we cant forget that a lot of this stems from performative kudos-giving while changing none of the underlaying factors of the job. Any sincere uplifting of the craft and peers come from the people in the industry who bring that energy to the award shows - but the original reason why they were made will always be a distraction. Celebrating is good, but dont let it distract or make you think that the surface gleam is worth keeping the status quo. anyway just a post to let people in on a lil history if they didnt know
