BURSA (İGFA) – Prijepolje Belediye Genel Kurulu’nun 4. Oturumunda, Sırbistan Cumhuriyeti’nin 10. Fahri Konsolosu ve RUMELİSİAD Başkanı Zarif Alp’e, yerel yönetimin gelişimine olağanüstü katkılarından dolayı ‘Onur Ödülü’ verildi.
Bu kapsamda Zarif Alp, Prijepolje şehrine giderek, Sırbistan Meclisi Başkan Vekili Edin Derlek’in elinden ödülü teslim aldı.
Organizasyonda konuşan Prijepolje Belediye Başkanı Drago Popadiç, Zarif Alp’in Fahri Konsolos olarak ve RUMELİSİAD çatısı altında bölgede gerçekleştirdiği projeler ve yerel yönetim üzerindeki pozitif etkilerine vurgu yaptı.

Heavy rain was blamed for at least two deaths in Western Balkan countries, while in some towns transportation was affected as local roads and bridges were damaged by flooding.
Due to the bad weather, high waves drowned one youngster in Montenegro’s coastal town of Herceg Novi, one body was found in the Raska River in Serbia and two persons remain missing.
In Montenegro, heavy rain in the towns of Pljevlja, Mojkovac and Rozaje blocked roads due to rising water levels and landslides. The Interior Ministry said its Protection and Rescue Office was in constant communication with local authorities, adding that the army is on standby if the situation worsens.
The situation was worst in Mojkovac, where floods damaged roads and bridges in several locations, while the River Cehotina flooded some districts in Pljevlja. Floods also hit southern parts of the country but didn’t cause significant damage.
In Serbia, a state of emergency was declared in the southwestern towns of Prijepolje, Sjenica, Novi Pazar and Tutin, in the central towns of Brus and Kursumlija and in Prokuplje in southern Serbia.
In Raska, southern Serbia, schools and kindergartens were closed because of floods. Serbia’s public broadcaster RTS reported on Friday that a body was recovered from the Raska River in Novi Pazar, but Interior Ministry did not confirm this.
Serbia’s Interior Minister, Bratislav Gasic, said on Thursday that six special rescue teams were searching for two missing persons and that by Thursday evening there were 84 evacuations in Novi Pazar, Sjenica, Prijepolje, Priboj and Brus.
In Kosovo, the Hydrometeorological Institute said on Friday that the most serious situation was in the western, northwestern, and northern parts of the country.
The government on Thursday evening said the situation was stabilizing in the towns of Istog/Istok, Mitrovica and Skenderaj/Srbica but remains difficult in Klina.
Four villages of Podujeve/Podujevo, Drenas/Glogovac were also affected, as the floods damaged roads and caused power cuts, the pollution of drinking water and evacuations of people. Schools in Klina and Skenderaj/Srbica did not work on Friday due to the flooding.
In Bosnia, the situation was critical in the eastern town of Rudo on the border with Serbia. Rising levels in the Drina threatened several villages in the Podrinje area, while defensive measures were declared in the areas along the Sava River, close to the northeastern town of Bijeljina. No victims were reported.
In northern Albania, thousand hectares of land have been affected by the heavy rain. Some schools were temporarily closed while the electric energy was disconnected in some villages because of the floods.
