I feel like nobody talks that much about the greek class' homelife or backstory, etc etc that much? I don't see anything about Francis' mother giving birth to him young and how people often mistake them as siblings, the fact that Camilla and Charles fought over a tape measure because their uncle felt bad for them (and also their grandparents and their real parents!? nobody says anything !!!), the fact that Henry's mother cared for him so much (maybe there were posts about it, but i've only seen one so far, briefly mentioned), how Bun has 4 brothers and how his dad made all of them fend for themselves (and also how because Bun had 4 brothers, he could easily pinpoint people's insecurities and weaknesses, and irritate them. also since he's more social due to his family, he knows how to befriend others and isnt isolated like most of the greek class !!), and also that RICHARD. The character telling the whole thing, has been abused by his dad and neglected by his mum??

This isn't a complaint, I just seriously want to see those long ahh paragraphs about their homelives and shortcomings and how that effects them and stuff !! I. AM. INTERESTED.

Listen, I know we're all exhausted, but we gotta get better about adding image descriptions to disability related stuff. Everyone should be IDing everything anyways, but there's a particularly cruel irony in disability related stuff not being accessible to folks with low/no vision.

#well!#this is my first attempt at uhh oil painting animation and I think it's pretty good for the first time!#I see a lot of things that I can improve next time #yes - this was made with tlt in mind because I am very interested in experimenting with visuals of necromancy and stuff #but I don't know if i should tag it... because it doesn't look too connected yet?#animation #my art #btw these 5 seconds have almost 50 frames. I think I've spent around eight hours painting and four editing #I just took pictures with my phone so light and perspective were changing. it's FAR from perfect. but it works to just try out a technique #my animation

May I ask what were the best transformers media you ever saw/read?

Well Transformers Prime, Transformers 1986 and IDW comics are having the first place that’s for sure

And then the second place is kind of shared by Fall of Cybertron, Exodus, Prime wars trilogy, Robots in disguise(2001) and Transformers One.

The third place goes to G1, Animated, Earthspark, Armada, War for Cybertron Netflix series, Aligned Robots in disguise, Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts and Cyberverse because I only liked some little parts of them.

And then I also saw some of the Bay movies, Victory and Headmasters and didn’t like them at all.

Separate first place for J-Decker. It is not exactly Transformers but it is a show about giant robots and I loved it

#call me weird for placing cheap ugly shows above Earthspark and Animated #but the thing is #I have when the whole narrative revolves around human kids #*hate #I’m allergic to them #Prime wars trilogy had one of the worst face rigs I ever saw #but it also had Overlord teaming up with evil Rodimus and Megatron being funniest mf alive #Armada is straight up infuriating imma be honest #Armada is like #Au where all the weapons work only once and then just create some glitter #I actually have SO many thoughts on Armada. like. as a writer #the way they keep reusing the same plot 3000 times is borderline impressive #OH War for Cybertron from Netflix was such an experience!#It was so painfully boring and stupid sometimes #but the other times. ooooouuufff. The scene where some nameless decepticon gives Megatron a little tour to show him how him and his friends #-work so hard for the cause??? THAT SHIT HIT HARD #….also I pretty much only like the Quintesson apocalypse arc from the entire Cyberverse #Transformers Victory is fun until you actually hear them speaking #the concept of Star Saber adopting a human child and raising him and then #going to human school as his legal guardian being like ‘yeah sure I can sign all your tiny ass documents’#it’s hilarious but unfortunately all the writers of that anime were snorting cocaine because WHY all the characters talk like that #Animated was fun for me only near the end. Idk what to say. I’m not a fan of any drama centered around humans #things got interesting when Cybertronian government got involved #Earthspark is WHOLE giant topic ahahah. I liked Twitch. sometimes. I also liked Grimlock while he had voice lines. Prowl was fun.#everything else needs and essay haha I don’t wanna annoy anyone #OH I also watching Tf Cybertron right now and this shit is UGLY. they have NO RIGS. THEY HAVE ONE EXPRESSION EACH #but for some fucked up reason I love it. they got the guy named Landmine who only can have (-_-) face.#their Megatron actually respects Starscream so far and regularly gives him positive reinforcement??? #poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #lan wangji #jin guangyao #qin su #The parallels to the mulderskully comic were genuine scripting coincidences that I kept in for the irony.#wwx and mulder both have a strong need to show their beloved (investigation) partner the cool thing they just found.#Much to their chagrin and concern.#For as much of a mess the plot gets in The Untamed...one of the things it does probably the best of all adaptions is setting up JGY.#specifically how we spend time getting to know him as a *Regular Guy* around our deuteragonists' age.#I love how he's present in the cloud recess arc! I was rooting for him as a character! The twist villain reveal felt so heartbreaking!#Here in the audio drama (for as much as it does well) we pretty much get 2 scenes tops with this guy before he's villain monologuing.#before this we know him as 1) the guy NMJ yelled at a lot 2) a suspect 3) leader guy Jin Ling was partially raised by.#The elements are there but but not with any particular depth to make him...interesting (in this version).#Sure we get to learn more after the fact but it just falls so flat in comparison B*/#ohhhh noooo the guy we are pretty sure killed a guy is gaslighting his wife and has a secret torture chamber. And he's a politician.#not much of a mystery to it all innit.#Feel free to disagree or bring up differing points btw; I love media analysis convos and this truly is just my opinion.

also I've spent the last couple weeks reading some older historical romance novels, and my made up, wholly unverified hypothesis that in the 2000s romance authors finally grasped that the old-fashioned "no, don't! stop, you brute" etc. scenes were not really landing with audiences anymore. So they faced a conundrum about the future of the genre. Ultimately, I think they chose to quietly stop writing those heroes, and switch them out for a more sensitive model. Still dark and brooding! But with limits, often a Heart of Gold, and more general emotional intelligence.

Still, somewhere out there is a parallel universe where these authors decided to take the opposite approach---to write heroines as unhinged, cruel, impulsive, and emotionally ignorant as their heroes. I don't know if I want to live there, but I wouldn't mind a trip to their library sometime.

#I read a whole novel about how a man married a woman and then proceeded to abuse her #(in pretty horrific ways I'm not going to lie. there was no romance in that romance novel.)#and because she's so pure and stoic and virtuous she just....cries privately. thinks about killing him. does nothing.#and then at the end they're in love.#where is my novel where she does unhinged insane things to punish him? tries to kill him and he chuckles?#thinks dreamily about how she must be planning her next attack; is in raptures purely because she hates him so much.#that might not be love but it's the closest thing he recognizes.#meanwhile his otherwise virtuous retiring wife who's spent her whole life taking care of her family #is hunched in the corner planning how to add arsenic to his food at a dinner party because socially he will be compelled to eat it.#seducing the blacksmith so he maybe doesn't shoe his lordship's horse correctly.#befriending his mistress and quietly suggesting that if he were out of the way...maybe....it could work for both of them?#freak4freak regency would be so much more interesting than Two Featureless Dolls With Correct Politics #and I wouldn't be forced to conclude that this duke abused and stockholm syndromed his way into marriage.#from the bookshelf

The first time Sonic went Super in Road Trip wasn't exactly as stunning to Tails as other au's and stories.

Tails is like maybe 5 here (I'm not actually that organized on the timeline for this au yet, I'm getting there though, things are getting in order.) and he wasn't forced to grow up and be a hero in this au. So he's a bit more childish than canon Tails because he doesn't feel as pressured to mature and grow up fast. Plus, he genuinely thinks Sonic is going to die and this is the last time he see's him, so tears are bound to come down.

This isn't Sonic putting himself first-#-but him trying to comfort Tails because even if it's cheesy- Tails will only feel okay if Sonic is okay.#Apparently it calms children down if they listen to their parents heartbeat (melts my heart when I remember that) so Sonic put-#-Tails close to him not only so he could hear that Sonic is alive- but also to try calming him down a little more.#Small thing I started incorporating way too late- Sonic will call Tails Big Guy if the kit is smaller than him and-#-Little Guy if the kit is larger than him.#Sonic changed his pattern color to be blue like Tails' eyes after he points out that they are both yellow (it's not colored here-#- but you probably remember that Super Sonic has golden fur.)#Sonic is constantly rubbing a thumb on Tails' hand as a comforting gesture.#That's my ramble- I know it's just pretty bare bone stuff that anyone reading might get but I freaking love explaining stuff (I gotta stop)
