Times that the chain forgot Wolfie is Twilight (Fluff for day 3 of Febuwhump)
Here's some fluff to soothe the soul.
Wind
Was super tired that day
Saw Wolfie laying down and flopped on top of the wolf
Sailor was asleep as soon as his head was resting on Wolfies side
Twilight didn't mind, but he definitely doesn't prefer it
It becomes a regular occurrence later, much to his chagrin
(he doesn't really mind that much, he's just keeping up appearances)
Warriors
Wakes up from a nightmare
Ends up cuddling with Wolfie
Maybe cries a little bit
Twilight politely doesn't bring it up the next morning
He does keep a careful eye on Wars the next day and offers silent support
Four
He doesn't forget as often as the others might
But every so often he finds himself idly scratching Wolfies ears
Red does it most out of the colors
But they all do it
Twilight doesn't mind
He low-key enjoys it from time to time
Hyrule
Rulie sometimes forgets Twilight is Wolfie
And that Wolfie is a nice wolf
He has startled in a sleepy state and drawn his sword on Wolfie before
Twilight takes note to approach slower as Wolfie
Or just transform back to his hylian form
He would never hold it against Rulie, he understands that wolves are not the nicest
Time
He lives on a ranch
He for sure has been around farm dogs
When he's super focused/distracted he’ll give Wolfie commands
The one that got the most laughs was when Wolfie/Twi was trying to snap Time out of his own head
And Time on impulse told Wolfie “No bite.”
Neither lived that down for a while
Legend
He also wakes from a nightmare
Lege decides that he needs a walk and Wolfie goes with
He ends up venting at some point
Twilight never mentions the stuff Legend said that night
But makes sure that Wolfie is there to supervise more late night walks as they seem to help
Sky
Completely forgets that Twilight is Wolfie
Baby talk
Skritches
Treats
Praise
The whole nine yards
Twilight learns to appreciate it, despite the others teasing
It's kind of nice to get praise just for existing sometime
Wild
Wild almost never forgets
However, if injured or really out of it, he completely forgets
Wolfie becomes like his companion in his era
Subject to all the cuddles and silly questions and weepy venting
Wild has admitted to Wolfie his fear of disappointing Twilight
Twi always makes sure to reassure Wild when he's more aware of reality

Chain w/ free cuddles reader part 2:
A/N:Sorry this took so long, my mental health took a downward spiral but now I’ve got a new cat so I mean, I got that out of the deal. Sorry for being away. It has literally been one of those ao3 author update moments👁️👁️.
Legend:
Legend is the least likely to take advantage of the fact you’re available anytime anywhere for comfort. He doesn’t think he needs it(spoiler alert, he does.)
he’s the most likely to deny it and least likely to take advantage. And, if by chance you can get him in your arms, he’ll pout….
But he’s not moving…. He’s not moving, not saying anything….
And finally.. he leans into you. But only if no one else is around. He leans into you and sighs and his face and ears are BRIGHT RED.
If someone’s around, he’ll shove you off, but if you try again he’ll be more inclined to just accept it.
If you’re in a relationship, yeah he’ll let you. Don’t expect much in return tho unless you’re alone
Four:
Also not as inclined to take advantage of it, but it’s more bc he’s always working on something
Doesn’t mind if you come up behind him and hug him tho while he’s working, as long as it doesn’t hinder him or cause you any potential danger
He works himself over his limit constantly, PLEASE pull him away and make him rest
He needs it desperately.
Doesn’t mind to hold or be held, has no preference
Just don’t treat him like a baby if you’re holding him.
Looooves when you play with his hair too, it’s relaxing(all the colors agree on this)
Hyrule:
Rulie will def take advantage of this! He loves hugs.
But if you make mention you’re proud of him or he’s been working hard/doing well, he might cry
(Let him. He needs it.)
He likes to lay with you a lot. It’s relaxing and he likes getting quiet, gentle moments with you when everyone is out doing some odd job or chore the old man tasked them with.
It’s so different from the chaos of his Hyrule, and he takes all of it in that he can.
(He’s so down bad for you, seriously man.)
He really likes laying on your lap and hugging your waist and just looking up at you with the dopiest smile while you talk about whatever you want. He could listen to you talk for hours.
Once again I’m so so so sorry this took so long, I hope you like it. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things😅 hope y’all can forgive me

Hi bois! Rank the bae ™️ Cheating at chess!
We all know that Warriors is the Actual chess player in the home. Strategy games in general are his preference, and he's nearly unbeatable. But all of the Links come with a natural competitive streak. So which of the boys resort to more nefarious methods of play in order to gain the upper hand?
Legend - He's the most likely to engage Wars in a game of chess with just the right amount of cajoling. He is, unfortunately, not very good at chess. The second one of his plans goes awry, his temper wins out over his wit. Leg holds the record for greatest number of upturned chess boards upon rage quitting.
Hyrule - Rulie is incredibly smart and good at many things, but chess is a bit out of his wheelhouse. It takes a lot of time and thought for him to play, and Wars gets a bit impatient waiting for him to make his moves. His method of 'cheating' includes making illegal moves and hoping that Warriors takes pity on him. Perhaps a less mentally-demanding game would be better for them to play, like Chinese checkers.
Four - Although he doesn't like to play often, Four does hold his own pretty well. He plays as though he's actually studied the game, too, unlike the other denizens of the townhouse. He's the one Warriors enjoys playing against the most, and he's lost a game or two to Four in their time playing together.
Twilight - He tried to play once or twice, but he finds the game incredibly frustrating. (Sacred Grove Guardian statue puzzle? Anyone?? Anyone????) He also couldn't actually cheat even if his life depended on it. Twi is much better suited for lawn games like horseshoes and cornhole. Get that boy some sunshine and a beer and he's perfectly happy.
Sky - This boy does NOT find chess to be even mildly engaging. Wars has gone so far as to take him to the coffee shop or the park on a nice day to try and keep him interested, but without fail, Sky... will start to yawn..... and eventually....... drift........off.........
Wild - Wild's blissfully unaware, airheaded nature belies how skilled he is in chess. Wild will sit cross-legged on the opposite end of the board with a big bowl of snacks or something soft and huggable in his lap, chatting away animatedly while he and Wars both systematically clear the board of the other's pieces. Warriors swears he sees flashes of Champion in Wild's eyes now and then during a particularly intense game. Is it really cheating if it's your former self who knows the game?
Wind - He's played chess against the CPU for so long that he thinks he knows what to do, but playing against AI for years means that his strategies are pretty rote. Wind is one to challenge Warriors over and over again and lose repeatedly, to his mounting frustration. His 'cheats' are debatably-legal moves that set off a ten-minute argument between him and Wars until he either folds or walks away in a huff, forfeiting the game.
Time - He's a decent player, but no match for Warriors's cunning. But cheating is beneath him. He will lose the old-fashioned way, thank you very much.
And, for our oft-requested bonus round:
Malon - Sure, she knows how to play, but it's not really her preference. She and Wars might start a game together but as their mugs of tea are filled and refilled, their time spent together is more focused on chatting and hot goss than it is playing chess.
Shadow - Like Four, Shadow is also an excellent contender when it comes to chess. His strategies, however, are harder for Warriors to outsmart. Shadow knows the rules of the game but none of the strategies. One part his intelligent, conniving nature plus one part beginner's luck makes him a formidable opponent, no cheating necessary here.
Dark - Eats the pieces. While Warriors is watching. With an audible, unsettling crunch. The cost of the dental work is worth it for the look on pretty boy's face.

Hunters - Creatures Gang
Some hours ago they all ended up running in a group of hylians, normally the ones who are more familiarized with them will make sure to get them away from the rest.
Sadly their luck had other plans.
They suddenly appeared and tried to take down first the bigger ones, Warriors being one of the principal objectives. Hunters? It’s very likely as they are walking through Legend’s era.
Their second main victim for some reason was Hyrule. They all knew that being a fairy is hard just for the fact that they’re small and vulnerable, but he was never a worry when they found themself attacked.
The hylians had tried to keep the fairy of the group inside a bottle, the rest keeping all of them away. If it wasn’t for Sky and using his wings to distract them, Hyrule will be trapped there for who knows what amount of time.
After getting them all away and finally scaring them with one of Wild’s bombs—They all were sure that it wasn’t only to threaten them— The little fairy was already on top of a tree, hidden in some empty nest inside the wood.
This is why he stays away from hylians! He doesn’t understand why some of their group swear that they’re friendly. They don’t understand being hunted just for own benefit your whole life.
“Hyrule! They’re gone! you can get down now!” That was Four, the mouse kept his distance with hylians, but not for the same reasons. Still, he was one of his closest supports.
But, right now? He prefers staying there.
“Rulie! Just get down, we need to keep going!” That was Legend, he was already wondering where the rabbit went when the hunters appeared. “I doubt that Wind will be able to get there without hitting himself with the tree four times.”
He should get down, this wasn’t the big deal. They’re gone and it is not probable that there are more of them waiting for him. But if he gets down they would come back, they were so determinate to keep him in that bottle, maybe-
“I’ll ask Sky to get me up there if you don’t come here!”
“Okay okay! I’ll go” Legend wasn’t fond of getting close to the bigger ones, and he doesn’t want to make him uncomfortable. He flew out of the nest and in a flash of light he was already next to the bunny and the mouse. “We can go now.”
Legend frowned, got closer and put his head lower. “Get on, you can stay here”
The fairy looked at him a little confused, he used to stay on top of his head a lot for low energy, but now he was so much better! He doesn't need this.
“Four can stay with you” Before the mouse said something he pushed him, making him nod in response.
He wasn’t tired, he could fly without problem the next few hours, but if Legend was offering… He flew and sat on top of the rabbit’s head, a little later the mouse getting there for himself.
They got back with the rest of the group, and even where he sat it wasn’t impossible to miss how Legend ignored how all of them saw them. This was a little unusual with their rabbit, but everyone was polite enough to not point it out.
Hyrule grabbed some of the pink fluff, testing if it bothers Legend, and when not seeing a response he just let himself sink in the furr. Four stayed next to him and started chatting with himself and giving random facts to keep the silence away.
The hunters now were the last of the things inside his mind, his wings were less tense than before—When did he tensed them?— and Four’s company is really nice to have now.
The rest of their trip continued without interference and they all got safely to Legend’s home, and Legend had to get help from Wild and Four to take a sleepy fairy off of his head.
---
I told you there was gonna be more of Hyrule!

Dangerous Blood
Hyrule peeked around the boulder they were positioned behind and promptly drew his head back, an arrow whizzing past him.
“Are you trying to get hit?” Legend hissed from his side, but his words carried no real heat – the vet himself was also attempting to get a look at their foe from the other side of the boulder. Another arrow forced him to give up on the ordeal, and he cursed.
“How many do you think we’re dealing with?” Hyrule asked.
“Hard to say,” Legend grumbled. “At least two since they’ve been able to pin us down like this. But hopefully not much more than that.”
A horn sounded not long from their current position. Legend sighed.
“And, of course, things are about to get a lot more complicated. Typical.”
“What do you think the chances are that the others heard that?”
“With our luck? Close to zero.”
They had been on patrol when the monsters came out of nowhere. The others were in the middle of setting up camp not far from here, blissfully unaware of the two heroes’ less-than-ideal predicament.
“We gotta get out of here before those monsters arrive.”
“I’m open to suggestions,” Legend replied.
“Any long-range weapons?”
His brother winced. “A bow, a boomerang. My hookshot’s back at camp. But as long as we’re perched behind this rock, I can’t hit anything. You?”
“Same,” he said. “My weapons aren’t ideal for this either.”
Hyrule desperately missed Warriors who always had a plan. But the captain was back at camp, so he’d have to come up with something himself.
Fact 1: They were pinned down behind a boulder, and there was no reason to think any of their brothers were on their way to help them.
Fact 2: There was reason to think even more monsters were on their way, so Hyrule would really prefer to deal with these archers as soon as possible.
Fact 3: Their weapons were no good for this situation.
What would Warriors gather from that, if he were with them?
That we’re fucked, was Hyrule’s first thought, but he quickly shook it away. That wasn’t very helpful.
Perhaps Warriors would move away from thinking of weapons altogether and try for another approach. Did Hyrule or Legend have any other skills or items which could be useful?
The thought struck Hyrule like lightning strikes a tree. He had magic.
“I have a plan,” he said. “Get down.”
Legend pressed himself close to the boulder, and Hyrule concentrated on the small bubble of magic in his chest. It swelled with power, expanding gleefully, but he kept it in check, unwilling to release its full potential.
The air crackled with electricity. Above them, the sky was rapidly darkening, black and purple clouds drawing together in front of the sun. They rumbled with thunder, and lightning bolts jumped between the clouds, though Hyrule didn’t let the storm loose.
The sound of the monsters came closer. He strained himself to keep the spell contained. Just a few seconds more…
The monsters gave a chorus of excited grunts as they stepped into range, and Hyrule let go of his control.
With an ear-shattering boom, the first bolt of lightning struck the ground. More followed it, and Hyrule pressed himself close to Legend, the two brothers clinging to each other. The veteran’s hand gripped his so tightly it almost hurt, and Hyrule closed his eyes. Flashes of white danced behind his closed eyelids, and the screams of the monsters mixed horrifically with the rumbling thunder.
Slowly, the pauses between the bolts of lightning became longer, and Hyrule finally dared to open his eyes. The ground in front of them was singed, and the trees were destroyed, several of them having fallen when the lightning struck their trunks. The world looked vastly different from how it had been before he cast the spell. The smell of something burnt filled his nose.
“I think it’s over,” he said.
Legend cautiously opened his own eyes. They widened at the sight of the destruction before him.
“Holy shit, Rulie. You could do that the entire time?!”
Hyrule shrugged, a little embarrassed by the awestruck note in his brother’s voice. He could feel his cheeks darkening.
“Let’s get out of here,” he said and rose to his feet.
“Yeah, sure,” Legend said, still looking at him like he was seeing him for the first time. The traveler extended a hand to his predecessor.
An arrow embedded itself in his arm.
For a moment, all Hyrule could do was stare at the projectile, dumbfounded. Then he raised his eyes to the bokoblin with the bow. The poor thing looked almost traumatized, he thought absentmindedly. The bow shook in its hands.
Quicker than anyone could comprehend, Legend stood and threw his boomerang. It hit its target right in the head, and the monster sank to the ground, dissolving a moment later.
Legend rummaged through his pouch, muttering something about how often they were missing potions when they needed them, but Hyrule could hardly hear him over the thunder in his ears. He was bleeding.
Hyrule was bleeding.
He grabbed the arrow around the shaft. Legend frowned.
“You should let the arrow stay until-”
Hyrule yanked it out with steady hands, and Legend’s words cut off with a horrified sound when he clasped his hand over the wound and burnt it.
“Hyrule!”
For the first time since Hyrule had met him, Legend seemed at a complete loss for words. He just stared at him, eyes wide and mouth open.
“What? We didn’t have a potion, and my magic was too depleted to heal it.”
“That’s not – why – camp isn’t far, you could have gotten a potion there!”
“But I was bleeding?”
“Well, yeah, but – hang on, do you do this every time you bleed?!”
Hyrule curled a little in on himself, certain he had done something wrong, but not sure what.
“I didn’t want to leave a blood trail,” he defended himself. “Monsters like my blood.”
Legend put a warm hand on his shoulder and made a visible effort to calm down.
“Rulie, do you have any idea how alarming that statement is? How alarming this whole conversation is?”
Hyrule looked away, and Legend’s voice turned softer.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to be that blunt. But … what did you mean by ‘monsters like my blood’?”
“It’s – well, it has magical properties,” Hyrule admitted. “There’s a reason I have so much magic. I’m part fairy.”
He took a deep breath. No sense in beating around the bush.
“In my own era, I’m constantly hunted because of it. The monsters believe my blood can be used to bring back Ganon.”
Hyrule sneaked a glance at his brother. Legend’s face had turned a very funny color, and his facial muscles seemed to be frozen in a look of bafflement.
“They believe … it can be used … to bring back Ganon?” Legend asked, very slowly.
“Mhm.”
“And can it?”
Hyrule shrugged. “Well, I can’t say I’ve tried. But … yes, I think so.”
“Your blood,” Legend said, and leaned back against the boulder like his legs couldn’t properly support his weight, “can bring back Ganon.”
“Yeah.”
“From the dead.”
“Yup.”
“As in, we’d have to defeat him again if that happened.”
“Uh-huh.”
Legend covered his face with his hand.
“I need a minute,” he mumbled.
Hyrule watched nervously while his brother stood there, still as a statue. He didn’t fully understand what the big deal was. Obviously, Ganon’s return would be a huge deal. But Ganon hadn’t returned, and Hyrule was determined to keep it that way. He had cauterized the wound because he was aware of the curse on his blood. He was dealing with it. Hylia, they had all dealt with monsters and curses and weird magic in one way or another during their adventures. There was nothing inherently special about Hyrule’s problems.
“Does any of the others know about this?” Legend asked. His voice was slightly muffled by his hand.
“No…”
The veteran straightened up and looked properly at the other hero. He had regained most of his composure, but Hyrule still thought he looked a little pale.
“You’ll have to tell them at some point,” Legend said gently. “I understand what it’s like to have stuff you’d rather keep to yourself, and normally I’d say ‘go ahead. You don’t have to share anything you don’t want to.’ But this is a dangerous secret. And the others need to know so that they can accommodate it, even if you’re unconscious or something.”
“I know,” Hyrule said miserably. “I just don’t know how. It’s not exactly something you share over dinner.”
Especially not since most of the Chain had spent years making sure Ganon couldn’t terrorize the people of Hyrule. Telling them that they were one unlucky battle away from their efforts having been in vain? Not exactly a fun conversation.
“I’ll help you figure it out,” Legend promised. “It’s not your fault your blood can resurrect the king of evil. Besides, that fairy blood can’t be all bad. I can’t count all the times your healing has saved our asses.”
Hyrule smiled a little, and Legend slung an arm across his shoulders. The vet smiled back at him, then turned solemn.
“But seriously. No more burning yourself to cauterize wounds.”
“But-”
“No,” Legend interjected. “We’ll find another way. Maybe we can make sure you always have a potion on you or something like that. I don’t know, we can brainstorm later. But no more burning yourself. Got it?”
Legend’s clever, violet eyes stared him down with a startling intensity. They were filled with worry and fondness. Legend was worried about him. Something warm settled in Hyrule’s chest.
“Got it,” he said.
“Good. Now, let’s get back to camp so you can get a potion for that arm,” Legend said. They started walking, the vet’s arm still slung over Hyrule’s shoulders.
“So, part fairy, huh? Healing and thunder magic. Anything else you forgot to mention?”
Hyrule’s grin grew. “There might be a few things…”

I have not been able to write a whole ton recently, which I feel really bad about, so I’ve decided to share a small snippet of a chapter I’m working on for a fic I’ve been writing
Now, this snippet isn’t part of the next chapter to be posted, but I’ve had it written for so long and I’m honestly pretty happy with it despite how short it is
The chapter that this snippet does go in probably won’t be posted for a while (I’m writing chapter 11, but this’ll probably happen closer to chapter 20 or something of the sort), but it doesn’t really seem to spoil a whole lot of what I have planned, so I think I can share it
“Legend, we have to go.”
“No, not yet. I’m sure I can find something in here that’s still edible.”
“Legend, please. We’re gonna get in trouble again, and there’s no one to bail us out of it this time.”
“Come on, ‘Rulie, have a little faith in me.”
“Legend, I’m serious. Legend.”
Legend paid his little brother no mind. Instead, he kept digging through the dumpster they found behind a grocery store. While he would much rather prefer to eat an actual meal and not something that had been thrown out who knows how long ago, it was the only choice they had.
“Legend,” Hyrule tried again. “Legend, someone’s coming. Someone who looks very much like some sort of officer is coming.”
“Dang it, I can’t find anything!”
“Legend, we need to leave now!”
Here’s the link to the fic if anyone wants to catch up on what’s been happening before this point
Summary: It’s been a few months since Twilight had to enter the foster care system and was placed with Time and Malon, and he’s beginning to like living with them. One day, another kid needs to be fostered by them, and slowly but surely, they somehow end up becoming a family of ten.

...that his Hyruleans actively prefer him and are discomfited by the rest of the Chain, especially Sky I'm assuming, possibly Legend because he's Fable's brother or Rulie cuz of the "I've got the whole triforce" thing...this is a Very Big Brain Idea that gives me LIFE.
Oh It's Sky all right. No wonder he's so uncomfortable around Wild. They're about as far apart from each other as they could get. I know others have the triforce but in this case that isn't the issue.
Glad you like it!

Rest in Peace Big Hero 6 AU (2023-2023)
@isasan347
Okay so basically. I was watching Big Hero 6 one day and then I decided to make a Linked Universe AU about it. Hold up I have to find all my old posts about it
Okay I found them
Alrighty
Characters
Wind was Hiro. As the de facto leader of the group, he used the theories of Aerodynamics and wind-related stuff to fly around and fight, and was Rulie’s main handler (gosh i hate using that term but what else was i supposed to call it? his owner? that sounds like slavery) and best friend, and laid claim to Hiro’s impulsivity and nerdiness.
Four originally split Hiro's role with Wind, but I ended up changing that later. He preferred to stay behind while the others do their fighting and backed them up remotely, giving them updates from the ground and aiding them with inventions of his. He also built the minishbots (like the microbots in the canon movie). He and Wind used to do Bot Fighting together- Four would build the bots and Wind would enter and control them. They were best friends and inseparable. (Four is 2 years older.)
Wars was Tadashi (yeah sorry he died) and Wind's biological older brother (it was an au i could do what i wanted). When he was Wind’s age, he was also into Bot Fighting, so he understood Wind's obession with it a little more than Canon Tadashi, but he still didn't approve (because of the violence he saw in the competitors). He was studying to enter the army as a military nurse, and, sharing Wind's mechanical genius, built Hyrule (short for Hyrule Medical Droid) to be a field nurse to avoid endangering the lives of human medics. Rulie was his prototype.
Rulie was Baymax, chosen because of his penchant for healing magic. In this AU, he was an android built by Wars before his death, designed as the prototype for a line of Robotic Army Field Nurses made to reduce the risk of sending human medics onto battlefields. He was more human-looking than Baymax, but wind upgraded him with extra human-y features (like silicone skin and fiberglass eyes) so that Malon wouldn't get suspicious. He and Four were able to convince her that Rulie was a friend from school who needed a place to stay as he was from out of town. Wind was not his “pilot” per se, like Hiro is to Baymax in canon, rather they fought in conjunction in some way. I was orking on it but then I abandoned the AU, so.
Malon was Aunt Cass. She was married to Time (who… has more information below) and was kinda FURIOUS when she found out that her husband wasn’t actually dead and that he was the dangerous criminal who threatened to tear Central Hyrule apart (and, also, you know, that he let one of their nephews die but moving on). It actually put their marriage in jeopardy for a time, so there was actually a post-canon plan for a slowburn lovers to enemies to reluctant allies to friends to lovers again side arc for them. She was also not as oblivious as Canon Aunt Cass to her nephews’ and their friends’ secret identities and knew that something was going on. However, she was in the dark about Rulie being an android.
Twi was Wasabi. He couldn't turn into a wolf in this AU but his science field was the study of Twilit Matter (sorta like… a magic version of real-world dark matter), and he had built devices that allowed him to manipulate the Twilit Matter around him, usually into blades. Twi had always seemed like the most lawful good of all the Links and while rewatching the movie that made me think he’d line up well with Wasabi’s slightly neurotic personality (which i can relate to, being a lawful good myself). I said earlier that he couldn’t turn into a wolf, but he loved dogs, and another one of his favorite Twilit Matter manipulations was a giant wolf that he used to attack from range.
Legend was Go Go. His special area of science was the study of taking archaic technologies and trying to update them for modern usage, and his favorite project was a reinterpretation of Pegasus Boots. The parallel for this might be kinda obvious because both Legend and Go Go were the snarky, sarcastic ones of their respective teams, but I also wanted to keep in mind that Legend has a special friendship with Wars and Rulie (albeit in different ways) and so in this AU he actually helped Wars build and design Rulie, giving tips on medical assets based on the ancient healing magic of fairies. He was the human that Rulie is closest to outside of Wind and Wars.
Sky was Honey Lemon, because they’re both sweet mom friends. The main difference was that Sky was a Biochemist instead of a Chemical Engineer. So instead of throwing balls that produce a tangible chemical reaction, Sky’s actually synthesized hormones that affected his targets on a neurological level. But he had to be careful about his precision because the hormones could end up affecting him or his team if he wasn’t, so he also had several small mechanical Loftwings that homed in on his target by reading their chemical signature.
Wild was Fred. He studied Ancient Sheikah technology- sort of like Legend but on a narrower spectrum- and ended up successfully building himself a freaking Ancient Sheikah Mech Suit, to pair with Fred’s in-canon dragon-mascot suit. Also because Fred’s main thing is fire and we all like to joke about Wild being an arsonist :P As for the whole “Fred is secretly dirty freaking rich” thing, Wild was currently living with his best friend Flora, who was the daughter of the Mayor of Central Hyrule (by the way, even though i am a zelinker until i die, in this au, he and Flora were cousins and there was no romance between them ever).
Time was the equivalent of professor Callaghan, trying to save his young cousin, Navi, from the trans-dimensional portal where she was trapped. He was actually Malon’s husband and therefore the uncle of Wars and Wind, and was the favorite teacher of Twi, Legend, Sky and Wild when he taught at Central Hyrule Technological Institute. UNLIKE in BH6 canon, he had no idea that Wars ran into the burning school to try to save him and felt incredibly guilty over his death, because even if I started him off as a villain he was still my favorite Link and I wasn't gonna turn him into some psychopath who let his nephew DIE on PURPOSE. Anyway, during his villain arc he wore the Fierce Deity mask, which was how he was able to control Four’s minishbots. In this AU, however, after his villain arc he (reluctantly, and i didn't figure out how the others started to trust him again) ended up joining forces with the boys and trying to fix his marriage with Malon. He never quite got over losing Navi AND Wars and ended up becoming quite overprotective of the boys once he did join them.
I will also link the original draft of the first chapter, back from when Wind and Four still shared a role as Hiro. It was a really cool concept in my opinion but I just. Ran out of steam for it.

Are you still doing the 5+ headcanon thing? If yes, what about an AU of LU where Legend can hear other's thoughts, if he wants to or not?
oh yeah his (game kinda) canon telepathic abilities! they don’t get enough use, making them involuntary though, v interesting...
1- Legend is used to being alone. His uncle and he lived alone, away from the castle or town for a reason- his abilities. After his uncle’s death, Legend adventured alone whenever possible. (note: normally i don’t love using the tfh dopples and dont consider that version to be canon, not least because its just really funny if ‘adventuring with two other individual heroes named link’ was just another part of the lu thing that Legend’s been there, done that. but here he used dopples and was happy for it, due to not having a crowded mind.)
2- But that’s not an option here! Legend goes through a portal and is suddenly accosted by thoughts, all confused, and he's very quiet through the meeting and explanation because his head hurts enough as it is, filtering through so many thoughts. He quickly gets a reputation for being a quieter one, preferring to be at the edge of the group but also for being better at reading people.
3- Legend once asked his uncle if he should tell people about his ability, since it didn't seem fair to invade the privacy of their mind without giving them a chance to back away and prevent it. His uncle told him to keep it secret, thinking he would either be disbelieved or distrusted. Legend was about to tell the others in the chain, since he knows they'd believe and trust him anyway, but as he was trying to think about how, Wild had a memory resurface and Twilight, staying with him, was brooding about Time's Shade. Legend decided to let it stay secret again here, then, to allow the others the comfort of having secrets- or thinking they did, anyway
4- Legend DOES use it to his advantage though. He cheated on the bet with Wars, because he had already heard Time thinking about his wife, very much calling her Malon and not Zelda in his head. He's known about Wolfie and Four from the beginning. He has a suspicion about Hyrule's blood curse, though not all of it because Rulie doesn't like to think about it when he's on such a better adventure now. He particularly likes to use it when sparring with the others, to their consternation, and he's been able to beat everyone so far with it except Sky (still too fast and hard to track thoughts in battle) and Time (doesn't spar.)
Outside of the Chain, he uses it to pick up on animal and monster thoughts, to give them warning of an attack - though he notices that black blooded monsters have muffled thoughts, and the shape shifting shadow is mostly thinking about overwhelming hatred whenever he listens.
5- on Koholint, Legend couldn’t hear anyone else’s thoughts. he should have known, then, that that was because he was dreaming.
#Wind doesn't like to play cards with Legend because he always catches him cheating#and he's too good at reading faces! he must be counting cards or something!#anon#pocket talks to people#ask game

Hello Echo! Time to begin our rant >:D!
To start, I'd love to see more of Legend's awesome items in Linked Universe. Like, the fire rod! Every hero is famous for arson. With all his numerous rods, fighting would be a lot easier. In fact, there's been little to no Legend fighting scenes at all (I'm very sad about that).
Another thing: A personal headcannon of mine is that Legend can sense the magic around him (Rulie can too, but that's a different topic entirely). For example, he can sense that Twilight has Twili magic, and that Wild has magic that seems to hide just under the surface. When writing, it makes the plot a lot more interesting, and also, it's yet another cool power to add to Legend's metaphorical mountain.
Finally (for today :D), where in Hyrule are the Quake, Bombos, and Ether Medallions? They're super OP in ALTTP, and I wonder where he buried them in his pouch. They would be super cool to see in action in Linked Universe, and I'm crossing my fingers that they might pop up at some point.
Can't wait to see some of your ideas, and hear you rant!
~Claire
Yaaaay hi Claire!!
Honestly, these are pretty on par with some of my recent thoughts too. I really REALLY want some crazy scene where everything seems to be going downhill so Legend just says "screw it," chases the others away and brings out some of his strongest things. Like, as you mentioned, the medallions.
Let him destroy the entire battle field with the insane destruction power from the medallions, obliterating everything in his path and then just- passing out at the end because that is a LOT of magic use.
Also, when Twilight had his incident, Legend let some of his caring side shine through. I would like to see a bit more of that in certain scenarios. I love his snarky behaviour but to have a moment where it's just him and someone else, where the other gets hurt in a fairly bad way, and he just kind of panics because "Not again!" And is quick to drop everything just to help them. Preferably with someone like Wild or Warriors since I don't think they've payed attention to that side of him all that much.
which I can see either one being paired with him during this dungeon arc of the story so... it could happen 👀

So thoughts have been floating through my head all day but I've mostly unable to grasp them to elaborate and/or remember them UNTIL.
WEREWOLF!PLAYER.
Maybe they can partially change/transform at will (though it's exhausting as hell), but the night of the new moon is when they're forced to. (New moon because moon-related trauma is usually full-moon-related so one would think the new moon is safe, right? WRONK! Also it's a way more terrifying thought to me to be unable to see a damn thing and know that whatever's chasing you either can see fine or doesn't need to.)
They don't want to be killed and locking them up will make it worse, so they tell the Chain to either LET THEM GO and DON'T FOLLOW, or LEAVE and DON'T LOOK BACK. Maybe they run off desperately into an unconventional maze of sorts, with long echoey hallways, lots of doors, and very little light.
This can go two ways:
-one, they retain their mind, but their instincts are heightened and they NEED to hunt and they will, whatever they have to do, however far they have to run.
-two, they don't retain their mind. What does that mean? It means one of the most terrifying things in werewolf horror applies: they, in their monstrous form and primal mentality, don't recognize the Chain. Maybe some ethics bleed over though, like they don't hurt pups, so Wind is safe, but he definitely can't stop them. Maybe if Rulie can catch them alone, he can share some knowledge that he would only know if he remembered Player, and they'll refuse to hurt him then and might try to make/find a spot/den to leave him and keep him safe with Wind wihile they hunt. Tough luck for the others who don't remember yet, though. Being locked in the maze offers lots of opportunity for (in my opinion) the other most terrifying thing in werewolf horror; running from what you think is a mindless beast until you hear the door unlock so it can keep chasing you.
Werewolf!Player retaining how to use weapons and tools either way (though they prefer their claws and teeth), so if there's something their claws aren't working against or it's dangerous (on fire or other elementals, for example), they steal an axe and wreck the enemy's entire ass.
Alternatively: their transformation is into a prey animal, as opposed to a wolf. (But like wolfos is to wolf, their form is to prey animal. Yeah they look kinda like a furry lol.) Imagine being hunted by a very cute, very large bunny (or capybara *shivers*) with teeth the size of massive knives. Legs that can stomp or kick right through an armored guy's torso. Legend will be having issues with his bunny form for entirely different reasons than before--opposite, even.
He's gonna use this opportunity to hurt them as much as he can. Maybe their healing is too much better, but they don't feel pain as acutely and they're focused intently on other things, so they don't notice as much. The Chain hurting them in self-defense/fear/assuming the worst and it not looking like they did any damage at all, really, like Player is tanking the hits no problem and just keeps coming, just getting more and more aggressive and vicious. But maybe when they shift back, they're absolutely covered in wounds and blood and look so much *smaller* and Rule exhausts himself trying frantically to heal them and refusing to lose them again and being terrified and feeling guilty, even though he tried and couldn't do anything to stop them from hurting the others unless the rest of the Chain remembered. Legend being intent on finishing them off, oothers disagreeing, but not all, all being wary and terrified. They're not gonna like learning that was still Player and they and the wolf aren't seperate entities.
Oh god what if they didn't know it was Player until they shifted back, near death?
-Cosmo
WEREWOLF!PLAYER LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You guys really be knowing a way to a person's heart.
I like to think at a true moon (Or maybe a blood moon??) they lose all control. Just pure primal instinct. Wind and Hyrule are safe because their bonds (and Player's moral compass to eave children alone) would go through the feral fog in their head.
The other boys better run though.

May I request some Hyrule fluff where he accidentally confessed to someone in the chain about his raging crush on the reader and then that someone told the reader? Hyrule's all sad abt it and wants to disappear bc he thinks "what business would they want with a loser like me?" so reader has to reassure him that's not the case at all
A/n:if there’s one thing I’m an advocate for, it’s making Rulie feel better about himself. Y’all know my favs are Rulie, four and legend🩷I wrote this in one go while taking breaks to slap box my cat, he kept biting me.
Warnings:only the abuse of italics used for emphasis. When you’re reading, read the italicized words like you’re stressing it. Y’all know that tho ofc. Also, this ain’t proofread
Reassurance.
Hyrule x Reader
The traveler is an incredible person all around. Kind, fun, adventurous, thoughtful—and don’t even get me started on what an incredible hero he is… but he doesn’t see it that way. Imposter syndrome is one heck of a mindset, and boy is it something he’s got.. imposter syndrome is something that makes you downplay your abilities and accomplishments, and if you ever asked the traveler if he lived up to the hero name, or his friends’ heroic abilities—or even the spirit of courage he’d tell you he didn’t. He’d negate the idea and change the subject before you even had the chance to refute him on it. Such was the exact reason he hadn’t confessed to a soul his feelings for you—especially not to you. You were incredible in his eyes, a sight to behold and an even bigger honor to be friends with. Although, he figured next to someone like the captain, the champion or even the smith he figured he couldn’t compete. In his mind he wasn’t even in the competition, let alone a contender in this race. He was just a traveler, someone who’s heroics were that of a happenstance. Right place right time kind of thing. Though, this longing and hearing for you was making him sick, keeping it to himself, he felt like a grocery bag with too many heavy items in it—ready to break and spill out all the contents. The contents, of course, being the way he thought of you, the dreams he had at night of laying by you watching the stars and making up your own constellations, whispering and giggling at what one another said. He’d kill and die for you, if only for a fraction of your time in return. He had to tell someone.
And oh, poor unsuspecting Sky. Sweet thing, he only wanted to help.
“Sky can i talk to you?” The traveler asked as he walked up to the hero, who was whittling down some wood to make into a little figurine for the ever bored sailor, who’d spent far too long at camp without something to do(the vet was going to strangle him had someone not suggested the boy go out and find a lake to play in while sky made a toy for him).
Sky looked up with a soft smile and baby blues the traveler was sure you’d prefer to his own dark brown eyes; they didn’t shine like sky’s did. “Sure! What’s up?” He sat down his project(which would be much to the vet’s dismay when the sailor returned and it wasn’t finished) to give the traveler his full attention.
“I have a confession to make. It’s nothing bad but-…..actually yes it is.” He started, already feeling defeated as his shoulders slumped, not wanting to admit it but also wanting to get it off his chest at the very same time. “I’m afraid I’ve caught feelings for y/n—which normally wouldn’t be a problem—only, they’re y/n, and I’m unfortunately nobody they’d like..”
“Are you kidding??? Of course they like you!!! They’d be thrilled to know!!!” Sky got up and the traveler panicked.
“Sky, where are you going—“
“To tell y/n! It’s nonsense you think they won’t like you! Like I said they’ll be thrilled!”
“Sky, no, please that—please don’t…” he stopped following the young man, looking like a sad wet cat with how defeated he felt. He was sure this was the end of your friendship. Farore, strike him down now. It’s over for him. He could’ve swore he saw the events of his life flash before his eyes as he watched Sky make his way over to you. He said something the traveler couldn’t hear, but he assumed it was the song of his death March. His eulogy. ‘There lies Link, our dear sweet traveler, who despite everything he went through, who saved his Hyrule from true doom and despair, despite the efforts of everything that tried to stop him from doing so, died of a broken heart—‘
In his lamenting, you had made your way over to him with soft eyes and the saddest smile. “—Link.” Your voice broke through his thoughts and you were glad it had finally not fallen on deaf ears. His eyes widened when he noticed you standing in front of him and he suddenly felt his breakfast pushing at the top of his throat, wanting to escape the twisting and turning of the nervous butterflies the rushed the home it had made in his stomach.
“Hi.” You said exasperatedly in a laugh. “What’s this about you saying you’re ‘nobody I’d like’? Of course I like you?”
“But why?” He finally broke. “Why would you? I’m not—I’m not a real hero—and I’m not strong like the rancher or skilled and talented like the smith or suave like the captain and Hylia knows I can’t cook like the champion, and—“
You put a hand on his cheek and kissed him. His words died in his throat and he melted, every bit of tension, every single thought—it all melted away the moment your lips touched his. You pulled away with a smile, wiping away the tear caught on the edge of his eyelashes.
“You don’t have to be. Link I don’t care if you’re not strong or skilled and talented or suave or can cook—I wouldn’t care if you were. I wouldn’t even care if you weren’t a hero—because that’s not why I like you. Din—I love you, Link. I love you because you’re sweet, and thoughtful, and caring and you put yourself before others—granted it’s sometimes—heck, oftentimes to your own detriment but regardless! You’re amazing, and I love you…”
The traveler couldn’t speak. He was at a total loss for words.
“…Link..?”
“…thank you…” he pulled you into a tight hug and you smiled sadly, hugging him back.
“Of course…” you said and let him take his time and break away on his own. Once he did, you smiled sadly again as you watched him wipe his tears.
“So-…are-… are we…”
“Yes. We are.” You said definitively and smiled when he lit up. He pulled you in again and gave you a kiss that was broken shortly after when the veteran yelled at the sailor for following him around and asking him questions about his magical items. You then looked over to see sky, frantically whittling down the toy that was meant to be finished by the time the boy returned to camp.
“..whoops.” The traveler laughed nervously. “..we’re gonna not tell the vet I pulled sky away from his work… he’s not the best to be around when he’s mad…” he said and you covered your mouth to keep you from laughing. Though, even if the vet did come to drag your boyfriend away and tell him off, the both of you were sure it wouldn’t ruin your day. Not after the moment you two shared.

Linked Universe Big Hero 6 AU Notes
NOTE: This is based mainly on the Big Hero 6 MOVIE, with some references to the animated series and very few, if any at all, nods to the original comics. Thank you for understanding.
Wind and Four, in conjunction, are Hiro. Wind is the de facto leader of the group, using the theories of Aerodynamics and wind-related stuff to fly around and fight, and is Rulie’s main handler (gosh i hate using that term but what else am i supposed to call it? his owner? that sounds like slavery) and best friend, and he lays claim to Hiro’s impulsivity and nerdiness. Four, then, is the personification of Hiro’s mechanical genius. He prefers to stay behind while the others do their fighting and backs them up remotely, giving them updates from the ground and aiding them with inventions of his. He also built the microbots. He and Wind used to do Bot Fighting together- Four would build the bots and Wind would enter and control them. They’re best friends and inseparable. (Four is 2 years older.)
Wars was Tadashi. When he was Wind’s age, he was also into Bot Fighting, so he understands a little more than Canon Tadashi, but he still doesn’t approve (because of the violence he saw in the competitors). Before his death, Wars was very close with Wind. He was studying to enter the army as a military nurse, but he shared Four’s mechanical genius and thus built Hyrule (short for Hyrule Medical Droid) to be a field nurse to avoid endangering the lives of human medics. Rulie was his prototype.
Rulie is Baymax, chosen because of his penchant for healing magic. In this AU, he is a droid built by Wars before his death, designed as the prototype for a line of Robotic Army Field Nurses made to reduce the risk of sending human medics onto battlefields. He is more human-looking than Baymax, but Four upgrades him with extra human-y features (like silicone skin and fiberglass eyes) so that Malon won’t get suspicious. He and Wind are able to convince her that Rulie is a friend from school who needs a place to stay as he’s from out of town. Wind is not his “pilot” per se, like Hiro is to Baymax in canon, rather they fight in conjunction in some way. I’m working on it ok
Malon is Aunt Cass. She is married to Time (who… has more information below) and is kinda FURIOUS when she finds out that her husband wasn’t actually dead and that he was the dangerous criminal who threatened to tear Central Hyrule apart (and, also, you know, that he let one of their nephews die but moving on). It actually puts their marriage in jeopardy for a time and uh let me warn you that it’s gonna take a long time to repair that, so Malink shippers get ready for a slowburn lovers to enemies to reluctant allies to friends to lovers again side arc for them. She’s also not as oblivious as Canon Aunt Cass to her nephews’ and their friends’ secret identities and knows that something is going on. However she is in the dark about Rulie being an android.
Twi is Wasabi. Okay he can’t turn into a wolf in this AU but his science field is the study of Twilit Matter (sorta like… a magic version of real-world dark matter), and he has built devices that allow him to manipulate the Twilit Matter around him, usually into blades. Twi has always seemed like the most lawful good of all the Links and while rewatching the movie that made me think he’d line up well with Wasabi’s slightly neurotic personality (which i can relate to, being a lawful good myself). I said earlier that he can’t turn into a wolf, but he loves dogs and another one of his favorite Twilit Matter manipulations is a giant wolf that he uses to attack from range.
Legend is Go Go. His special area of science is the study of taking archaic technologies and trying to update them for modern usage, and his favorite project is the reinterpretation of Pegasus Boots. The parallel for this might be kinda obvious because both Legend and Go Go are the snarky, sarcastic ones of their respective teams, but I also wanted to keep in mind that Legend has a special friendship with Wars and Rulie (albeit in different ways) and so in this AU he actually helped Wars build and design Rulie, giving tips on medical assets based on the ancient healing magic of fairies. He is the human that Rulie is closest to outside of Wind and Four and Wars.
Sky is Honey Lemon, because they’re both sweet mom friends. BUT beyond that, I’m really not sure how to connect any of his traits to Honey Lemon’s in-canon ability. If you have any suggestions, please feel absolutely free to drop them off in my inbox! I’d really appreciate it.
Wild is Fred. He studies Ancient Sheikah technology- sort of like Legend but on a narrower spectrum- and ends up successfully building himself a freaking Ancient Sheikah Mech Suit, to pair with Fred’s in-canon dragon-mascot suit. Also because Fred’s main thing is fire and we all like to joke about Wild being an arsonist :P As for the whole “Fred is secretly dirty freaking rich” thing, Wild’s currently living with his best friend Flora, who is the daughter of the Mayor of Central Hyrule (since Wild is in love with Mipha in LU Canon, we’ll say that he and Flora are cousins in this AU and there was no romance between them ever).
Time is the equivalent of professor Callaghan, trying to save his young cousin, Navi, from the trans-dimensional portal where she was trapped. He is actually Malon’s husband and therefore the uncle of Wars, Four and Wind, and was the favorite teacher of Twi, Legend, Sky and Wild when he taught at Central Hyrule Technological Institute. UNLIKE in BH6 canon, he had no idea that Wars ran into the burning school to try to save him and feels incredibly guilty over his death, because even if I’m starting him off as a villain he’s still my favorite Link and I’m not gonna turn him into some psychopath who lets his nephew DIE on PURPOSE. Anyway, during his villain arc he wore the Fierce Deity mask, which was how he was able to control Four’s microbots. In this AU, however, after his villain arc he (reluctantly and I’ll have to figure out how the others start trusting him again) ends up joining forces with the boys and trying to fix his marriage with Malon. He never quite gets over losing Navi AND Wars and ends up becoming quite overprotective of the boys once he does join them.
Yeah so that’s all I have so far but when I figure stuff out with Sky I’ll end up posting that. I love Honey Lemon and I love Sky and I want to make him work but I need ideas for how so. Just. Help, if you can. Thanks for reading!
