Here’s a thing I want. Killjoys, but as...
Oooh! Pree and Magnus hanging out? Hell yes! One more thing I didn’t know I needed and that I now want very much :D
Yeeeah. Everything about Pree makes me want to see him interact with Magnus, tbh. *^*
I’d want them to just sit, drink a lot and bitch about their boys. Magnus/Alec/Jace and Pree/Gared/Johnny. Double the OT3. Johnny and Jace all the while are competing, while Gared is being a good host and Alec honestly mainly just wants to go home??

Killjoys has only 2 episodes left and the thought makes me wanna tear up every time. I made this poster to show appreciation to this underrated show. Over the course of 5 years this show evolved and kept getting better and better!
I’m gonna miss Team Awesome Force so godsdamn much, especially Dutch and Pree! These characters are fun as hells and I’m gonna miss their unbreakable bond, crazy missions and loud banters.
To this day I’m very grateful and surprised that this show lasted 5 seasons on SyFy, a network not known for its shows’s longevity. (I’m still not over Dark Matter, Incorporated, Blood Drive, Deadly Class and thank gods Prime Video saved The Expanse.)
Get this here.

Killjoys 5.01 (spoilers)
Sooooooo... who left Dutch the box?
Because by process of elimination there’s only two possibilities I can see. It’s not Johnny, D’av, Pree, Gared or Zeph because they don’t remember. It’s not the Lady because this is distinctly AGAINST her plans. It’s not Khlyen because he’s a prisoner (also, what is UP with that?).
So it was either a setup by Jaq and Kendry and that’s why Jaq thought they’d get visit in the middle of whatever the hell they were doing; or it was Aneela.
And I’m going back and forth on which one.
But back to the episode. I thought it was pretty great. I definitely enjoyed everyone acting all.... weird and not themselves, while still SOUNDING like themselves.
(though Pree and Gared broke my heart and I need that fixed ASAP. They were happy and cute and married and now they get turned into an affair? So: *no, no, no, you come fix that.gif*)
Zeph was great and hilarious and I love that she managed to question her entire reality without being first triggered by a real memory. Because of COURSE she did. She’s Zeph.
Also Delle Seyah’s a badass. Which I obviously already knew but this is the first time they’ve shown her as ‘killing three men in a few seconds’ specific type of badass. And... I’m a bit torn on it? It feels like it came a bit out of nowhere on the one hand. But on the other hand she IS Qreshi royalty and I imagine she’d have probably gotten a background in this too and just prefers her usual methods when possible (which are now unavailable because The Lady’s too much of a threat to show their hand by politicking and backroom subterfuge).
Now. The Dutch and Johnny thing.
*sigh* I knew it was coming but I still rolled my eyes at Dutch feeling things were wrong because of the kiss. I’m sorry but that’s just... i know the reasons they never went there in their real lives and those reasons were pretty clearly a case of ‘I love you too much to take that risk’ situation and not a ‘I’m completely and totally platonic about you’ situation. Case in point: 4.01 specifically and the whole show otherwise.
(still interesting how Johnny decidedly did not feel anything was wrong by that kiss)
Anyways. Still ship it. Can’t stop me.
Also loved the ending and Dutch ALMOST getting her boys back it really was a very effective scene (plus we got to hear Pree sing again and I loved that).
And in conclusion: GO SAVE ZEPH, DUTCH!!!

Killjoys 5x01 - Run, Yala, Run
My non-spoiler-y thoughts: I loved this episode. It was an excellent start to the season and I’m very excited to see where things go from here. Spoilers under the cut.
-I loved how thirsty everyone was for Dutch in this episode because...relatable.
-The Kendry and Jaq mother-son team up: Excellent. Kendry in that outfit: yes please!
-I love that Zeph knows something is wrong even though she’s not awake yet and I loved all her scenes with Dutch. I did NOT love that she got shot, but I have faith that Dutch’ll get her fixed up.
-D’av and John just instantly annoying each other was perfect.
-Gared and Pree! Their secret romance is sweet, but also sad. Don’t deny your what’s in your hearts, guys. You know you belong together.
-So the Lady brought Khylen back with her from the green? How does that work? Is he no longer dead? Did the green revive him or is he a zombie now? I have a LOT of issues with Khylen, especially when it comes to his parenting, but I did enjoy him warning the Lady not to underestimate Dutch.
-No Aneela was disappointing but I didn’t expect to see her this early in the season. And I had a feeling the kiss from the trailer was actually going to be Kendry/Dutch and not Aneela/Kendry but I liked the reasoning for it. (Also, Dutch apparently calls her Kendry now, too? I dig it.)
Now onto the one disappointment I had with this episode:
-Dutch & Johnny. I had a feeling when the show introduced their “marriage” in the season 4 finale that it would go this way. They kissed and Dutch immediately knew something was wrong because their relationship isn’t romantic/sexual.
To which I say: bullshit. No, their relationship has never been sexual. (And still isn’t, due to them fighting in the alt-verse. Which I’m happy about because it wouldn’t exactly be consensual what with them having false memories of their life together.) HOWEVER, their relationship IS romantic. There have been romantic undertones to their dynamic from the very beginning. (4x01 was basically dedicated to that side of their relationship. I mean, Johnny straight-up proposed at the end of that episode!) Yet now, it seems like the writers are telling us their love for one another is strictly platonic. And that’s just...not true. I’m fine with the show saying their relationship isn’t sexual but to imply it’s not romantic...is just wrong.
This will likely be addressed as the season unfolds and maybe it’ll end in a different way, but right now I’m disappointed with where the writers seem to be taking this storyline.

Some Predictions for Killjoys Season 5
*spoilers for season 4*
Anyone following me might remember I said OH and me were gonna play a little drinking game when season 4 came on, a shot for each time a previous guest character came back, and a beer for every time D’avin took his shirt off. Well, none of my predictions came true. The only returning guest character was Manos, and D’av only puts a shirt ON. Who saw that coming? Reader, I remain tragically sober. So this time around I’m gonna er on the side of ‘the writers are crazy geniuses and the thing you least expect will happen’, Mkay? What follows is my analysis of the season 5 teaser that aired immediately after the finale, screenshot by screenshot.
First off, this little gem.
Tumblr media
Credit: @PromosTVNetwork https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6u2p0p
On the one hand, it’ll please all the the Johnny/Dutch fans out there, of which there are many, but on the other hand, the show-runners did state explicitly that they will never ever sleep together. So what about that darling waking up scene at the end of ‘Sporemageddon’, then? Either they sleep in the same bed and kiss occasionally, but don’t have sex, or that woman is not Dutch. Yep, I’m putting actual money on the probability that the woman who has been sleeping with Johnny (though probably not, take heart dear green-queens) and running the Royale is in fact, da-da-dum, Aneela. Think about it. She has all of Dutch’s memories. She knows there’s attraction there, but she doesn’t know what to do with it. Having lost her memory, she reverts to the most prominent personality in that brain-jumble... Yala. Which leads me on to the next pic:
Tumblr media
Credit: @PromosTVNetwork https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6u2p0p
That, pretty people, is not Dutch. THAT is Aneela. Watch her for long enough and it’s easy to tell the difference. The mannerisms, the expressions, makeup and hair, general behaviour. Then how do we explain her attraction to D’avin in the street outside the Royale? Easy. He’s the father of her child. She chose him. She is fascinated by him, and we can see that in ‘The Lion the Witch and the Warlord’, and the way she gets all touch-feely preparing to go into the green. She may not be attracted to him in that way, but she knows him.
Further evidence:

Tumblr media
Credit: @PromosTVNetwork https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6u2p0p
See, I think Dutch emerged somewhere else. She’s already proved she can go into the green and come out pretty much anywhere in the galaxy. What if Aneela came out with the boys, Lady in tow, and Dutch came out far far away? And who’s prisoner is she? Must be someone organised. That looks a lot like a uniform, and both of those scenes are in an environment we haven’t explored yet. Narratively, it also makes sense to separate the boys from their True North. We got to see them interact with Aneela briefly in season 4, but I’m sure the writers won’t squander the opportunity to explore that dynamic.
Next:
Tumblr media
Credit: @PromosTVNetwork https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6u2p0p
D’avin is D’avin-ing. Nothing new there. But that looks a lot like Fancy behind him. Could it be that they’ve teamed up? The Designated Ass-hole who said he’d never work in a team? Is in a team? Along side the Legolas to his Gimli (vice/versa)? Whaaat? We didn’t get to see what happened to Amnesiac!Fancy at the end of season 4, so could this be a delicious treat for the fans? And who are they aiming at? That looks like the Royale interior, so possibly Yala | Aneela, when they discover who she really is.
Then this one:
Tumblr media
Credit: @PromosTVNetwork https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6u2p0p
Zeph in pain. But why? Is that the Royale memory wipe scene? Or a totally different scenario?
And this one:
Tumblr media
Credit: @PromosTVNetwork https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6u2p0p
Kendry going full Ripley. This clearly takes place in Red19 where she is hiding Jaq. I can just imagine her protecting her offspring and saying “Get away from him, you bitch!” Rocking the new hair y’all. I can totally see the writers taking her to new heights in the new season. We haven’t even seen what she’s fully capable of yet.
And this is probably the most worrying scene of all:
Tumblr media
Credit: @PromosTVNetwork https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6u2p0p
Don’t know who she is, but she’s on the Armada, so Hullen? Also, it might just be me, but she looks a bit pregnant. Two reasons why this is concerning. The Hullen keep calling Jaq the ‘Firstborn’, so that means there are/will be others, right? Also, she could be Brynn, Aneela’s maid, and I distinctly remember Gander saying, “it’s a shame, we had such plans for you.” When you IVF someone, you don’t just make one embryo, you spread your bets. Fans of Orphan black will remember the arc with Helena and the cryo-canister. The brains behind it? Killjoy’s own Karen Troubetzkoy and Andrew De Angelis are both Clone Club alumni. Now, I’m not saying they had anything to do with it, but knowing writers, there will be a canister of embryos somewhere, if not at least one more kid. That is the last thing anyone expects. So the producers are probably like, let’s just mess with everyone’s heads, let’s mess with D’avin some more. How can we further traumatise him?
Which brings me to my last and favourite scene:
Tumblr media
Credit: @PromosTVNetwork https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6u2p0p
My first instinct was to say “Eh? A new enemy? Allies?” But then I remembered a behind the scenes pic posted on twitter a couple months ago showing Team Awesome Force in army fatigues in the desert with another unidentified woman, and a soldier standing guard with a really nice futuristic weapon. (I will post a link here when I’ve found it!) The figure at the front has a really nice insignia/medal and clearly has a female silhouette - an officer? So I think that’s the army. The army of the United Republic. They’ve noticed what’s been going on, probably due to the Quad’s Yttrium supply drying up. The Lady has everyone working in a Green factory on Westerley, remember, they’re not mining any more. Also, we know they’ve probably had a plan to tackle the Hullen problem for a while. That’s what all the experiments D’avin was part of were about, and that’s why IMUR were investigating Red17 when they sent the Aegir to the area. So if they’re gonna win this war, they’re gonna have to buckle up and submit to a real godsdamn runaway queen.
So, in conclusion, we can’t be sure what any of these images mean, because the show is just so damn turbulent. But we can predict that season 5 will give us new and more challenging environments, problems and team dynamics.
Can’t wait!

Killjoys 5 x 01 “Run, Yala, Run”
Yay, Killjoys are back! I delayed watching because I was scared I was too excited. (I know, it doesn’t make sense – or it does? I’ve been disappointed by too many shows. But not this one, not yet.)
Anyway, we picked up where we left of in S4. The Lady managed to get out and is now keeping everyone on Westerly in thrall and their memories hostage via mass-hallucination, maintain the effect by twice-daily ‘decontaminating’ showers.
She’s also hunting down Jaq by using D’avin’s killjoy skills. A+ for the irony on that, show.
Nevertheless, Dutch got locked in her room with a red box (Dutch thought Zeph might have put it there and locked up, but it might have been someone else? IDK, it wasn’t clear or I’d have to rewatch) with Khlyen’s weapon and no access to a shower to ‘decontaminate’ in time and remembered everything.
Zeph, on the other hand, does not remember, but since she is a smart cookie, she used her brain to work out that things are very wrong on Westerly, staring with twice-daily rain in semi-arid climate and she also figured they are newly terraforming Westerly (for the Lady’s tadpole thingies.)
Jaq and Delle Seyah are badass geniuses with a plan of their own, which we don’t know what it is, but I’m sure it will be revealed soon.
Dutch, Johnny, and D’avin found them, but they got away.
Lucy’ still ‘alive’, although the Lady sent people to delete her files, but Johnny’s cloud backup wasn’t found. She tried to make Johnny remember, but failed.
But then Dutch with Zeph’s help coined up a plan to make the others remember, too – basically one needs to be shocked by a memory and then not shower in time – but when she jogged Johnny, D’avin, and Pree’s memories, they ran out into the rain in shock. (Why not lock the door, Dutch?!)
Zeph figured out that the rain is the Lady’s fail-safe should people refuse to shower/not shower in time, ran to warn Dutch but was too late and was shot (but hasn’t died, yet (and she’d better not!)) by either D’avin or Pree when they were re-brainwashed.
Oh, the brainwashed Pree is RAC commander on Westerly, has an affair (or something?) with Gared, but Gared is ‘cheating’/dating some other chick.
And the Lady has Khlyen – or at least his consciousnesss – on hand to try to pump him for info, which isn’t working very well for her, because his girls aren’t to be underestimated.
All in all, a good episode.
I liked Dutch and Zeph being the first to remember and working together the most.
Dutch and Johnny’s failing quasi marriage was what I liked the least. But I liked that it didn’t feel right to Dutch.
Also, there was enough of this-show-typical humour to make the episode fun.
So, nine more episodes. Bring them on, I’m ready!

Favorite couple? Did you mean Alvis x Dutch. I also like Delle Sayah and Aneela, that’s a true power couple. I’m not quite sure how I feel about Dutch and D'avin yet. Oh and of course best BROTP Dutch and Johnny
Oh and Pree x Gared can’t forget the boys.

Finale Thoughts/Season 5 Predictions
First and foremost, can we all agree that Michelle was wrong for making us think something bad was gonna happen to Pree? I was so ready to fight the second Gared noticed something was off about him.
On that note, I’ve yet to see a single person who doesn’t love Turin, but I believe Turin will die in ep 9 of the last season and it will absolutely wreck me.
If the Lady used the children as a vector for her memory-wiping virus, then I wonder how long it took for the virus to spread from Westerly to the rest of the Quad. We all know it spreads fast but I think it had to have been a couple months before the Lady had total control over the four moons at least so I’m expecting a serious time-jump at the start of season 5.
While some part of me is happy that #WarriorThief is together in some kind of way, it’s pretty clear they aren’t going to be canon unfortunately so I’m trying not to get too attached to AU Johnny x Dutch even though they’re a far better ship/make more sense for the characters than D’av x Dutch. That scene with John and Pawter? I was never her biggest fan but omg Aaron’s voice when he said “Don’t let me turn around.” My HEART. I really wasn’t ready for those emotions, he’s so lonely and that scene really broke me.
He deserves so much better.
Also, I think everyone’s right to speculate that Jaq is immune to the Lady’s mind game and she’s using D’av as a proxy to get to him. But I don’t think Jaq is also trying to find D’av, I’m guessing something more along the lines of him trying to find Aneela since she’s obv still alive and she’s Team Awesome Force’s only hope right now.
My current theory as to how she’s still alive is that Khlyen was up to something during their fight with the Lady. That box he gave her was never explained, what did the fruit mean? Was it hinting a contingency plan in case the Lady got out? I don’t think the Green is all gone, Khlyen probably hid aneela in there somewhere and Jaq has to get her out before D’av (i.e. the Lady) finds him.
Can we give a round of applause for Mayko Nguyen please? 10/10 acting and the tension between her and Hannah John-Kamen was GOLD. I so can’t wait for Delle and Aneela’s reunion. Killjoys isn’t the type of show to kill off its lesbians so I’m not worried for either of them.
Finally, when we saw Dutch in prison in the preview for next season my theory is that it’s because she’s starting to remember who she really is. Since she herself is from the Green, I believe she might be able to resist the Lady’s mind games after a while as her source, Aneela, is still stuck there and sending her memories of her past self.

I have finished binge-watching Killjoys and I have some thoughts:
I’m glad I watched this show because of the main plot, most of the characters, Delle Seyah x Aneela, Pree x Gared, and the brotps of the show. It really is a fun campy sci-fi show.
Now let’s talk about the main flaws of the show:
Dutch x D’avin went from ‘I don’t ship this’ in season 1 to NOTP over the course of the show (the more characters they killed because they had better chemistry with Dutch or D’avin the more of a notp it became). Which leads me to the second main flaw of the show
Killing way too many characters of color and women. I don’t know how many it was exactly but, I know it was way too many because whenever I saw a new character of color or woman in the show my first thought was ‘they are going to die’... and most of the time they did
The show would have been much better if they hadn’t had a thing for killing women/characters of color and if they had made Dutch and D’avin platonic or if Dutch and Johnny had gotten together instead.
Honestly Lovretta’s obsession with Dutch x D’avin makes me kind of glad she left Lost Girl because I feel like she would have made DyBo endgame and would have killed off Lauren that’s just the vibes she gives me
In conclusion, Delle Seyah x Aneela and Pree x Gared deserved way more screentime and Dutch x D’avin deserved no screentime

So what are we calling the character's new Westerley personas? Brainwashed!Turin Rainwashed!Gared Rain!Pree TheLadyfied!D'avin TL!Johnny Decon!Fancy NotGreen!Zeph (or NuGreen? That factory ain't belching clear smoke) I'm leaning towards Rainwashed!X for phonaesthetic reasons, but just Rain!X is nice and short. TL!X should probably be used for direct TL possession. Honestly, though, I want to call them all curse personas because this is basically OuaT lmao Westerley is Storybrooke now. Like, literally they've become "can't make the right decisions" versions of themselves!

Killjoys 4 x 10 “Sporemageddon”
OMG, what a mind-fuckery was this?! But well worth it.
So, the rescued kids were carrying a virus, infecting everyone they came in contact with. Qresh eould be happy to wipe the entire Westerly from the existence to stop it from spreading, but Turin managed to convince them to hold off until Zeph found the cure. Alas, when cured, people lost their memories. Courtesy of the Lady, because memory is how she controls people.
(And, apparently, memory and imagination are something the Lady’s race don’t possess, hence her obsession and stealing.)
Meanwhile, Aneela took D’avin and Johnny into the green – but D’avin left the spores-weapon with Turin as insurance.
The plan was for D’avin to incapacitate the Lady long enough that they all got out and then destroyed the green with the Lady in it.
It didn’t quite work out, with the Lady making Aneela offers of having her family back – and I would have been so pissed if Aneela had fallen for it and betrayed them, but she didn’t.
Instead she stalled the Lady by faking accepting her offer to give Dutch the opportunity to get the spores from Yalena again – because the green is a universal hold of all memory so inside it you can recreate any memory – and I loved how it worked into Dutch being Aneela’s family, OMG.
So, Dutch destroyed the green from within.
But unfortunately, the Lady overpowered Aneela and assumed her image, tricking the trio and getting out of the green before it died.
And then everyone woke up in a weird alternative world where they are ‘owned’ by the Lady (as per her own words), Johnny and Dutch are married (LOL) and apparently have a kid (?), they don’t know D’avin, Turin is a beggar (?), and Gared fights with Johnny in (illegal, I assume) fights. I think.
Fascinating.
Anyway, I guess the next season our heroes will figure out there is something majorly wrong with their alt-lives and find a way to get out of the Lady’s clutches.
And I really hope Aneela is alive and didn’t die with the green. Maybe since the Lady got out and as it appears now controls everyone’s memories, like herself being a kind of universal memory, Aneela is somewhere there, too, and can be brought back as well.
(Who’d think a season ago, I’d grow so attached to Aneela.)
Or maybe Aneela will be the one to save them or at least start the process – it could be a nice way to fully redeem her (they began this season, but for a lot of people, like Pree and Turin, she would have to do a lot more to get there, I guess.)
Anyway, looking forward to the great finish. Although this is going to be a loooong wait for the next year.

Killjoys 4 x 06 “Baby, Face Killer”
Highlights below the cut.
Zeph found the spider from the green melded with Pippin’s brain she can’t get it out without killing Pippin, but she fried its connection to Pippin via sonic frequency, so it can’t control him, at least. Alas, the spiders don’t survive long outside the green, so Pip is going to die soon anyway. :( (Maybe she’ll figure something out at the last moment.)
Delle Seyah gave her kid a name, finally, Ozzman after her father, and Kin Rit, which was Annela’s family name. Then she left for Qresh to take over the ruling – or so she told the team, but went somewhere else (to look for Aneela, I assume.)
The kid has some ‘supernatural’ senses, as he just ‘knows’ certain things.
Dutch and Johnny visited a memory-retrieval .bloke to find the ‘she’ assassin from Khlyen’s story, which in turn brought an assassin after them to protect his ‘colleague’ – Dutch surmised that both of them work for the Lady.
(Also, I saw someone speculate the female assassin might be Aneela’s/Dutch’s mom – and OMG, yes, please?)
Auntie Dutch was also tasked with teaching D’avin’s kid self-defence, which was nice and fun, but then she was going to teach him less savoury things when she proceeded to interrogate the male assassin, but D’avin put a stop to it, calling Khlyen’s parenting methods a spade for what they were: abuse.
Well fucking done, show! I love that they remember these things, that even though they flipped the story and Khylen turned out to be on the right side and for all his intentions were good, what he did to Dutch was still wrong and no kid should go through that.
And D’avin was a perfect person for spelling it out. This is going to be my second favourite moment of the show after Sabine’s episode.
And I love how they write the relationship between D’avin and Dutch, where even though he loves her and respects her, he isn’t afraid to tell her how it is.
And Dutch’s reaction, defending Khlyen for doing what he ‘had to do’, and being hurt by D’avin calling it abuse was perfect, so very real-life like.
This show. See, that’s why I like it.
Sure, this season has been a bit whacky (well, all of them were)/different (?) and the show overall isn’t without its issues, but in comparison to other shows, it’s still one of the best ones I’ve ever watched, especially with jewels like that.
(Although, the fandom seems to be getting smaller and smaller/near extinct this season. (Apparently it’s also hard to watch legally even in the US. WTF.) I might have to start giffing it myself again.)
Anyway, D’avin also looks quite good at being a dad, he’s had nice bonding moments with junior, who at the end, as per his earlier advice, chose his own name, Jaqobis, Jaq for short. And then they left, we shall see where to.
And we also got Pree and Fancy trying to find Gared and the kids and setting up a trap for the Hullen hunters with the intention for Pree to be caught and taken, so Fancy could find via out a hidden camera where they took everyone – which was the RAC, as we already knew, I think.

Killjoys 5 x 08 “Don’t Stop Beweaving”
I was too lazy to proofread, so forgive my typos. Although nobody reads these anyway, but if I’d done it for five seasons I might as well for the last episodes.
Johnny was high on Lucy being back. I love seeing him so happy.
Dutch and co. enlisted the Warden and the prisoners to help them fight the Lady, but they first needed to train the prisoners to work together via capture-the-flag teambuilding therapy, lol. Alas, there were glitches with a rogue prisoner and even more with the ‘good’ Psych Doc deciding that these ‘monsters’ can’t be unleashed and just trying to kill everyone – which did force the prisoners to work together, so goal accomplished in another way.
D’avin was trying to find a ‘date’ for Johnny, asking Warden and Calvert if they are single, lol. In the end they made a deal D’avin can pick a movie, but Pree will pick his date. .
Turin was captured by Khlyen and the Lady’s goons – Khlyen promised him a quick death if he talks because he owes Dutch that much but Turin made a counter offer that if Dutch is dead he should kill the Lady.
He tried to do it when the Lady’s body was failing and she needed his help to heal her, but she caught him and manipulated him into not doing it because she wants to be loved – I guess she figured that what Khlyen really wants is his daughters and their love and decided to exploit that ‘weakness’ to offer herself as a substitute. And she’ll give him a galaxy, too! And it’s working, since he believes Dutch is dead. Damn it, Khlyen! I really hope that when he learns Dutch and Aneela are alive he turns on the Lady. But this newest twist makes me think he won’t survive the season.
While we are at survival, no sight of Pree, Gared, Aneela, and Delle Seyah this episode. I hope they are all all right and I need them all and Turin to survive, too.
We learned Zeph’s ancestors used to be the leading scientist in the J but when the leaders used the knowledge to profit and pollute, they rejected science. So, when Zeph discovered the grain was moldy using science (and then burned it), they wanted to punish her by marrying her off to her second cousin, so she ran away. But her family still owns a holo-tapestry with all the scientific data, which should include that about the Lady’s race, so Zeph wanted to steal it to find the Lady and her hatchling’s weakness.
So Zeph and Lucy went to Leith, were caught, drugged, put in the pit, then escaped via Zeph’s brain AND brawn, had a talk about sisters and Aneela and were all in all amazing. And they got the Tapestry, which Lucy will try to decipher.
And in the end, they all had a nice family Leith harvest dinner.
Oh, Fancy loves to read, history books in particularly. And he cooks! Who IS fancy?

Killjoys 5 x 07 “Cherchez La Bitch”
OMG, this fucking show! I love it.
Lucy is back, bitches! I knew there had to be an offline backup somewhere, woo-hoo! *throws confetti*
We got Zeph and Turin hugs!
And D’avin and Fancy hug!
And I’m getting ahead of myself. But I’m writing this after two days so I don’t forget everything that I haven’t yet forgotten.
Dutch contemplated leaving the war to the others and just disappearing now that the Lady believes them dead, but no, that’s not her – D’avin said next time.
They figured that to find the Lady’s real body to kill her permanently, Johnny had to upload Newcy into the Armada’s main frame, but they needed a direct line – figuring a Leith military base would be the easiest to get to for it.
The Warden lent them a pod and the wannabe assassin prisoner who used to be military personnel from the base on Leith where they would do the hacking from.
The usual complications followed, including D’avin and Dutch having to play tour guides (because Qreshi’s underfunding forces Leith to have the base double as entertainment park to get the monies), a bit of betrayal, capture & escape shenanigans, etc. but Johnny managed to upload Newcy.
Fancy was meanwhile being kept prisoner and tortured on the Lady’s ship, but he escaped and then made it off with Lucy and arrived just in time to save/pick up TAF & one remorseful ex wannabe assassin on Leith.
Cue D’avin hugging Fancy. Lol. But yay!
Meanwhile, Zeph and Pree ran off to Turin’s safe tent in Badlands and were joined by Turin (more hugs!) who stole one of the Lady’s hatchlings for Zeph to study to learn how to defeat her.
Zeph remembered she saw a similar creature somewhere, but they had to go back to Old Town to get to her files.
Pree went to get Gared; they had a fight because Gared was awake and didn’t tell him right away and because Pree was treating him as too delicate, but then they made up.
Turin reassured Zeph he’s hard on everyone and being hard on her doesn’t mean he hates her. We learned a bit more about Zeph – that her family didn’t believe in girls’ education because it made them not hear god, but she ran away and joined a scarback monastery to get education besides self-learning and then she found a new family. Aww.
They faced the Lady’s kill squad, Zeph prayed when she was afraid and looking at her pendant remembered where she saw the hatchling-like creatures before,
then she was saved by Fancy while Turn went to look for Pree and Gared.
The Lady gloated over Khlyen who was completely down and mourning. I wonder about her quip about him not caring not that Dutch is ‘dead’ – maybe Khlyen will do the right thing and try to fight the Lady even if there isn’t anything in it for him? We’ll see.
But. But, the best of the best: Newcy found the offline back-up of Lucy and she’s baaaaaaaack! She greeted him with fireworks on all screens and then insisted Newcy is their baby, lol.
Fancy told them where the Lady keeps her body and Zeph figured she knows who can tell them how to kill her.
This sci-fi stuff is as always a little confusing to me, but I think it’s just me and it’s mostly solid. I think I’ll rewatch the whole show sometime after it’s finished, though, to fully appreciate it. (Not that that would be a hardship.)
