leaving a three hour lab be like:
what time is it? why is it dark outside? where did the sun go?
I'm starving.
I'm never doing that again (literally has the same lab scheduled the following week).

So, I have organic chem 1 and 2 to take next year along with biochemistry, genetics, pathology, zoology, and my virology classes.
I am taking multiple classes now that I’m a full time student so I’m studying a lot and it’s becoming surreal how I’m literally going into my senior year! 😩😢❤️
I know I’ll do great. I know I’ll complete what I need to in order to graduate. I know I’ll get into vet school. I know I’ll be an amazing veterinarian.. but can I tell you how much imposter syndrome is kicking in now?
It’s so crazy how close I am and I’m so afraid but ready for it. I am so ready to do surgeries and do what I love!! It’s so crazy and I am thankful for this. 😩❤️🐾🤟🏽

If I do get pet care lead, I will have a little more power over whether or not I sell an animal to someone, but nobody knows what's fucking going on with that, still, and I don't even want that fucking position anymore, I want a better job. I'd really like to work in animal care in any other capacity.

Me, at the beginning of the school year: *worried that I won't like my classes and that I've made a mistake while choosing my major*

honestly starting to believe that people who think vets are being sponsored by pet food companies to sell you kibble and "know that kibble is actually terrible for your pet!11!!1!" but "care more about money than proper nutrition" shouldn't own pets

Silent Guardians Of Pure Water: The Fascinating Hose Clamps
Water purifiers rely on a complex network of hoses to function properly. But there are silent guardians at work – hose clamps! These clamps act like a security team, ensuring everything stays leak-free and keeps your water clean.
Keeping Connections Tight: The first line of defense is at the water source and the purified water tap. Clamps here make sure the hoses connecting to the untreated water supply and the outlet are sealed tight. Leaks at these points could contaminate the clean water or waste treated water.
Tumblr media
Protecting the Filter Cartridges: Many water purifiers use replaceable filter cartridges. Clamps secure the hoses going in and out of these filter housings. This prevents leaks that could bypass the filtration process, allowing unfiltered water to mix with the treated water.
Internal Leak Prevention: Depending on the design, some purifiers have internal hoses connecting different parts like filters or membranes. Clamps ensure these internal connections are watertight, maintaining the effectiveness of the purification process.
High-Pressure Champions: Reverse osmosis (RO) systems use high water pressure to push water through a special membrane. Here, specially designed clamps are crucial. They secure the high-pressure lines, preventing leaks that could waste water or even damage the system due to uncontrolled pressure spikes.
Choosing the Right Clamp: The material of the clamp depends on where it’s used and the water pressure. Stainless steel or plastic are common choices, with RO systems needing stronger, high-pressure clamps.
The Importance of Leak Prevention: Keeps everything sealed tight, hose clamps play a vital role in: Ensures the filtration process works effectively Prevents contamination of your purified water Avoids water damage in your home
These small, but mighty hose clamps are the unsung heroes behind clean drinking water. They guarantee a safe and efficient water purification process for your home. These underrated pieces of equipment can make or break your purification systems, investment in quality hose clamps is imperative.

A complete manual on seconal sodium
Tumblr media
Secobarbital sodium is a medication in the barbiturate drug class that goes by the brand name Seconal sodium. It is a CNS depressant used as a sedative or hypnotic to treat anxiety, insomnia, and some types of seizures. Seconal sodium works by reducing brain and nervous system activity, which promotes relaxation and sleepiness. But when used frequently or in high doses, it is a highly addictive substance that can cause dependence and withdrawal symptoms.
Firstly, short-acting barbiturates like seconal sodium are used to treat certain types of seizures, insomnia, and anxiety. When other medications and non-drug treatments have failed to bring relief, it is typically used as a last resort.
Again, to reduce the risk of side effects and dependence, seconal sodium is typically prescribed in a low dose and taken orally in the form of capsules or tablets. But some people might become tolerant to the medication over time, requiring higher doses to have the same therapeutic effect.
Also, seconal sodium is a Schedule II controlled substance under the US Controlled Substances Act because of its high potential for abuse and addiction. When the drug is stopped abruptly or tapered off too quickly, withdrawal symptoms may appear. It can also lead to physical and psychological dependence.
Furthermore, a number of adverse reactions to seconal sodium have been reported, including drowsiness, dizziness, headaches, nausea, vomiting, confusion, and poor coordination. Taking it in high doses or when combined with other drugs or alcohol can also result in more severe side effects, such as respiratory depression, low blood pressure, and coma.
Lastly, seconal sodium should only be used under the close supervision of a healthcare provider due to its propensity for abuse and addiction. It shouldn't be given to others or taken for a longer period of time than recommended. It's critical to get professional assistance as soon as you can if you or someone you know is struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction, whether to seconal sodium or to another substance.
