honestly starting to believe that people who think vets are being sponsored by pet food companies to sell you kibble and "know that kibble is actually terrible for your pet!11!!1!" but "care more about money than proper nutrition" shouldn't own pets

#tell me you know nothing about vet school and veterinarians without telling me #vet students have to go through SO many nutrition classes #im not even a fucking prevet student and i have to go through them too. prevet students get like 4x as many as that :sob:#if youre majoring in any field that works with animals you learn nutrition as part of your degree program #you reading doggy mommy blogs where sharon said that kibble is the devil and bad for dogs because it looks like kibble is not education #KIBBLE IS GOOD FOR YOUR DOG #obviously some brands of kibble are atrocious and no one should feed it to their dogs #but balanced kibbles with good ingredients (ie a lot of kibbles sold by purina) should genuinely be most if not all of your dogs diet #adding a bunch of stuff on top of kibble can be worse for your dog than just...giving them the kibble #anyways specifically about the 'vets are being sponsored by dog food companies' thing #thats like saying teachers are being sponsored by antifa to make your kid gay or some shit #vets arent getting paid enough (or at all by said dog food companies) to try to sell you a specific brand of pet food #just to 'make a profit'#simon says
