nearly blunt force injured myself so i could play totk on the big screen this better be worth it
#speak friend and enter#i usually don't plug my switch into the tv bc the adapter is so huge and i don't wanna fuck w the power strip my parents have for the tv#but i wanted to play it on the big screen so i freed up space on the power strip for my switch#but i'd already plugged the hdmi cord into the tv so when i pulled on the ac adapter the dock fell off the shelf and hit me in the shoulder#which scared my dog which in turn scared my cat and so while they fled the room i was crouched tornado style on the ground#so after $70 plus tax and that little impromptu slapstick routine if this game isn't good im gonna start biting

mildly amused at how a common review for power supplies is apparently "didnt explode" or "hasnt destroyed my pc".
#tütensuppe#did what i wanted it to. works fine.#also i didnt order a drive yet bc i was anticipating my dad to ask me for present ideas#which he did! so heres an idea. ssd drive!#so whats left is a power supply with the correct plug for the graphics card (also an efficiency rating would be cool)#plus a sata-pata adapter and a sata cable so i can connect it

Plug and Play: Choosing the Best Multi-Plug Adapter for Every Need
Conquer Charger Chaos: Multi-Plug Adapter for Every Need
Multi-plug adapters simplify workspace organization by consolidating outlets. But beneath the convenience lies a world of electrical specifications and safety features crucial for businesses. This technical guide dives into the nitty-gritty of multi-plug adapters, empowering you to make informed choices for your work environment.
Electrical Specifications: Understanding the Numbers
AC Voltage and amperage (A): Multi-plug adapters are designed for specific AC (Alternating Current) voltage ranges, typically 110V-250V. Amperage determines the current an adapter can handle safely. Look for adapters with a rating exceeding the total amperage of all devices you intend to connect.
Wattage (W): This is the product of voltage and amperage (V x A = W). Ensure the adapter's total wattage capacity caters to the combined wattage requirements of your devices. Exceeding wattage limits can overload the adapter and pose safety risks.
Plug and Outlet Configurations:
Input Plug: This is the plug that connects the adapter to the wall outlet. Common configurations include two-prong (North American) and three-prong (grounded) plugs.
Output Outlets: These are the outlets where you connect your devices. The number of outlets varies, and configurations include standard AC outlets and USB charging ports. Consider adapters with a mix of outlet types to accommodate various equipment.
For more information: https://overseas220volts.com/
Safety Features: Protecting Your Devices and Your Business
Surge Protection: Look for adapters with Joule ratings (measured in Joules). Higher Joule ratings indicate better surge protection capability. This safeguards your devices from damaging voltage spikes.
Overload Protection: Essential for preventing electrical fires, overload protection automatically cuts power if the current draw exceeds the adapter's capacity.
Circuit Breakers: Some adapters have built-in circuit breakers that reset after a temporary overload, allowing you to resume operation without replacing a fuse.
Advanced Features for Modern Businesses
USB Charging Ports: These integrated ports provide convenient charging for smartphones, tablets, and other devices. Look for adapters with features like fast charging and compatibility with various USB standards (USB-A, USB-C).
Power Indicator Lights: Illuminated outlets provide a quick visual cue to identify active outlets and prevent overloading.
Smart Power Strips: For advanced control, consider smart power strips. These allow you to remotely switch on/off power to specific outlets or schedule power delivery for energy-saving measures.

even though in practice the gameplay is a total slog some part of me is missing Gravity Rush so hard
theres this atmosphere so distinct and unique about the games of the early psvita era
#i cannot for the life of me find a psvita wall charger the ones on amazon all come with a power supply that doesnt work for vita#it was always really weird about needing a specific wall plug on top of the proprietary adapter#also gravity daze is a way cooler name but i think rush suits it better#because nothing about the game is dazzling but you DO constantly hear the rush of wind as you fall sideways at 100mph

Plug and Play: Choosing the Best Multi-Plug Adapter for Every Need
A multi-plug adapter, also known as a power strip or extension cord, is an electrical device that allows you to connect multiple electronic devices to a single wall outlet. It essentially expands your available outlets, providing a convenient way to power up all your gadgets simultaneously.
Types of Multi-Plug Adapters:
There's not a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to multi-plug adapters. Here's a breakdown of the different types available:
Basic Multi-Plug: This is the simplest type, offering several outlets (typically 3 to 6) on a single bar. They're perfect for basic needs like powering lamps, phone chargers, and other low-wattage devices.
Surge Protector: This multi-plug offers an added layer of protection against sudden voltage spikes and power surges that can damage your delicate electronics. Ideal for computers, TVs, and other expensive equipment.
USB Charging Multi-Plug: This innovative type integrates USB charging ports alongside standard outlets. Perfect for charging smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices without needing separate chargers.
Travel Adapters: These compact multi-plugs adapt your plug type to be compatible with outlets in different countries. Essential for international travelers who need to power their devices on the go.
Additional Features to Consider:
Length of Power Cord: Choose a cord length that reaches comfortably from the outlet to your devices.
Number and Type of Outlets: Select a multi-plug with enough outlets to meet your needs, considering both standard plugs and USB ports.
Safety Features: Look for features like overload protection, surge protection, and fire-resistant materials for added peace of mind.
Mounting Options: Some multi-plugs offer wall-mountable options for a neat and organized setup, especially useful for cluttered desks or entertainment centers.
Individual Switches: This convenient feature allows you to turn off power to specific outlets when not in use, saving energy and preventing phantom power draw.

Mech Pregnancy and Protoform Development of Gestating Sparklings
Here is what I have compiled on Cybertronian "reproduction" from More Than Meets the Eye, specifically the Holiday Special and Volume 5:
Holiday Special:
So this would be the protoform development for a forged sparkling and it lends support to that, if Cybertronians gave birth to their own Sparklings, then they would likely be an egg-like form (yes, I know it's not actually a sparkling, but can we all agree that Swerve is strangely well-informed on protoform development for forged Cybertronians?)
So what would slide out from the gestation tank has no discernable features yet and still needs hours if not days before the protoform resembles an adult Cybertronian, but I still don't have an answer for the size of this thing - at what point does it reach its full size? Cybertronians before the war went to academies, so what point does the protoform receive an education instead of having relevant information jammed into its brain module right before deployment like a MTO cold construct?
(More under cut)
But, let's be honest, I am going out of order here. Let's go to Volume 5 where we encounter a hot spot of re-ignited sparks on the moon:
So this is being constructed cold.
And this is forged - as well as the official story for how cold constructed bots were made, which apparently differs from the truth. Here is the truth for how cold constructed sparks were actually formed:
So all cold constructs were made from the matrix - but what if they did come from igniting healthy sparks to make new ones?
What if you used the energy of two sparks to create an entirely new one and that sparkling attached itself to a parent spark for some time before it dropped to a gestation tank (this is common in fanfiction and I love it so much, it makes the most sense)? As these two orbs of immense power and life resonate with one another, creating waves of energy that can be interpreted as pleasurable for the interfacing bots, excess energy could gather itself into a separate orb that borrows the life code from both parents, becomes randomized, and this creates a new life code for a separate entity. It stays in the spark chamber for a period of time - I don't know, decoding or storing energy or something, I am very bad with electronics - before dropping down to an artificial gestation tank.
And this is where the valve/plug comes into play if you so desire because now we have the issue of, where is the spark going to go? It needs a protoform. It needs the materials to make a protoform. It also needs liquids.
Cybertronians seem to live off energon and anything you can make from energon, but there have been references and images in the comics of Cybertronians have oil as a waste product, so they need a separate compartment for oil away from their energon tank and they also are said to have (in fanfiction, at least): oral solvents, lubricant, transfluid, optic fluid, etc... All those will require their own compartments and they will all have either been diluted from the energon or will have an origin in a separate liquid that isn't mentioned. Let's keep in mind that they will also need some sort of oil for their hinges and their nanites for upkeep.
So I believe these gestation tanks are where the Sparklings develop their egg-like protoform with all these liquids that they themselves can't make yet, and I think they get what they need from nanite colonies as there is no umbilical cord (not unless you want the bots to have belly buttons). I like to think of them as nannyites - nanites that, once a protoform hits the gestation tank, have latent codes that becomes active and now have protoform-related tasks versus whatever tasks they did beforehand. The nannyites will likely take these resources from the carrying parent, everything from fluids to energon stores to living metal that the nannyites will adapt or make compatible for the sparkling.
So this carrying parent suddenly has fewer nanites colonies themselves, a thinner layer of living metal, and depleted storages of fluids.
Hear me out, hear me out: Valveplug interfacing helps the carrying parent because transfluid will contain necessary materials for the protoform.
I am going to take it a step further and say that it is that first shot of transfluid into the gestation tank during spark and valveplug interfacing creates input that electronically signals to the receiving parent to gather the excess energy from the spark play via centripetal force like a satellite and that force signals the excess energy to turn on life codes it recycled from both parents and create its own life code. That transfluid inside of the gestation tank also turns on those latent codes for the nannyites to get the compartment prepared. It's that first dose of necessary materials and every dose of transfluid after that is stored in the gestation tank for the protoform.
Which brings me to the idea that I have seen on AO3 where bots go into heat:
What if a mech goes into heat as a way to store transfluid from their partner?
I am largely talking out of my ass here because I don't know anything about how machines work, but I know there are a lot of hormones and signals and work that goes into human pregnancy.
The downside of this is that, if all bots were once forged and now they are, let's say, "birthed", then these constructs would be artificial: the gestation tank and the fertile centripetal force with its satellite sparkling and the interface array with its gestational passage and the nannyites and the transfluid. These would have to be constructed cold and surgically added, and you would have to create codes that turn on these cascading or stacking protocols (I don't know the correct computer term for when one event triggers another event triggers another event and so on) and you would have to manufacture filters and tanks and lines for the creation of gestational lubricant and transfluid.
This is just me rambling because I can't stop thinking about all this, but I am not ready to write a mechpreg story.
Please talk to me about Cybertronian reproduction, I am not normal about this.

Between the recent custom buttons post with the pipe bomb and the gamification post with the post -deleting boss fight I'm starting to get absolutely feral over the idea of you making a social media platform.
The companies that run the current options are cowards.
i would honestly love to give it a crack and were i younger and sillier i think i probably would. unfortunately by now i've become a bit too aware that creating a social media website is one of those nightmare projects that is guaranteed to be 500 times more work and trouble than you initially expect, and if i get into that i'd never have time for anything else. i'd also have to deal with hiring an actual team and be an actual company instead of just some guy who codes in his bedroom. and then let's say maybe the website takes off and we get a few thousands of active users. after a while our uptime becomes terrible; people can't log in, posts won't load. tech sites are starting to make fun of us. we have to grow, get bigger servers, hire more people. eventually i'd have to confront the fact that despite my cute take on monetization our social media isn't recouping the growing server expenses and our seed money is drying up and people at the office are starting to bang at my door to get paid. do i pull the plug and throw away everything we've built so far? likely not, even my own ego aside there's too many people's livelihoods on the line. other folks on the team are motivated to make this work, and a feedback loop forms where we start to ever-so-slightly readjust our values if it means we get to survive another quarter. i get more cynical; our ad slots are more and more intrusive, our monetization strategy gets shiftier and more aggressive. we accept funding from less and less savory entities. we start collecting user data beyond simple telemetry. if we've gotten big enough by that point, we may choose to restructure and begin taking on shareholders. this is a deal with the devil, and we now have a fiduciary duty to play nasty and treat our userbase like livestock in order to secure short-term profit. we can't just stop accepting new users; continued growth demands that we throw away what's left of our ethics to accommodate the gargantuan swaths of money that hundreds of thousands of database calls per second require. those of us who disagree with the new direction are gradually nudged away from positions of power. me, i've either been kicked out of my own project a while back or i've adapted to become someone i would've despised a few years prior. this is all assuming the website didn't crash and burn a few months after launch from either my technical shortcomings or my inexperience with management, or maybe just because our site ended up being too niche to really snowball. it is fun to think about tho!

Concept: the Staff of Forbidden Spinjitzu doesn't whisper to Zane. Instead, its "whispers" take the form of popups along his HUD disguised as alerts or warnings. Things like "If you put me down now, your friends will never find you. [OK]” or “Killing these prisoners villagers will increase Vex’s approval and reinforce your reign. Proceed? [Y/N]”
(I like this particular flavor because it really leans into Zane's robotic nature: he can ignore whispers by turning off his auditory sensors or filtering noise, but he can't ignore system alerts.)
Also, the following scene has lived rent-free in my brain ever since I came up with the concept. (Italics are Zane's default OS. Everything else is the Staff.)
>IF YOU ARE GOING TO DESTROY ME, "ZANE" -Move File:"NeverrealmMemories" to Core Memory Functions-WARNING: Attempting to delete, move, or suppress File"NeverrealmMemories" after moving will cause total system failure. Proceed with move anyway? >[YES] -File transferred. -Permanently remove fatal combat safeguards? >[YES] -Safeguards removed. >THEN I WILL MAKE SURE YOU CAN NEVER FORGET WHAT YOU DID, SYSID:ICEEMPEROR
-Connection Terminated.
(I have a few more Ideas for the "Scroll Corruption looks like Computer Alert messages to Zane" idea-ones that really lean into Zanes Nindroid nature, as well as the tech-y appearance of the Dark Ice.) -The Staff did a lot more than just send alert messages: it slowly wormed its way into Zane's code like a computer virus, tweaking a few things. It took great care to remove Zane's combat safeguards, eventually deleting them entirely and ensuing he defaulted to lethal force. It never removed his core directive of "Protecting those who cannot protect themselves" since that was vital to his systems running, but it did reinterpret said directive as "Protect Dark Ice Network and everything connected to it, for it is fragile and cannot protect itself from outsiders". (It also couldn't delete his morality subroutines without causing a crash, so it instead made them a much lower priority and shoved them to the back of his digital mind.) -After 60+ years of being in the grasp of a mechanical being, the Staff now exclusively speaks in the manner of a computer, and cannot adapt to organic minds the way it used to. (The other Staff is not like this, as it's still attuned to organic brains.) -You know those Sci-Fi stories where people are plugged into computers and know every part of the ship/city simultaneously, and can send most of their awareness into certain parts of the network while still being aware of other locations? That's what's going on with the Never Realm during the Ice Emperor's Reign, with the Ice Emperor as the central guiding consciousness/core CPU of the Dark Ice Network. As such, he's not actually sleeping-rather, the Ice Emperor is always monitoring his domain through his Ice and leaving just enough of his consciousness in his body to be able to call the rest of himself back in case he's threatened. (The Staff is a combination of a computer virus and a wireless modem: it is corrupting, but it's also the main point of connection for the Dark Ice Network.) -Since the Ice Emperor can't recharge his power on his own in his current state, the Staff had to step in, tweaking the Dark Ice to drain the vitality of those imprisoned within. (You know wireless phone chargers, or Nikolai Tesla's idea to get electric power from the atmosphere? Similar concept, except with the power source being frozen people and the transmitter being Evil Magic Ice.) -Boreal is the Titanium Dragon, corrupted by the Staff's presence. It too is part of the Dark Ice Network, and serves as Ice Emperor's eyes and ears whenever the Dark Ice can't reach. (If the Ice network used computer program language, Boreal would be known as "Obj_DarkIceTitaniumDrake".) Killing Boreal caused a massive jolt to the Dark Ice Network that destabilized the Scroll's influence, and allowed an opening for Zane's Memory Defragmentation program to kick in. (It had started when Lloyd arrived in the throne room, but the Scroll had diverted that to a minor priority and was actively hiding that set of files until the word "Protect" slipped through, forcing Zane's systems to call up what had been defragmented.) -As a final act of spite for being broken, the Staff encoded Zane's memories of the Never realm to his Core Processing systems, meaning he cannot forget the Never Realm without completely frying his systems and rendering him a lifeless shell. (It might've also made a backup of itself amidst his various repressed memory files, but he doesn't need to know that. It's just sitting there, disguised as a normal .zip file, biding its time.) (I really like genre-blending Sci-Fi and Fantasy, and I thought the idea of "Magic Ice Computer Network" is rad as hell.)
(This song is a big part the inspiration for part of the "Dark Ice Network" idea, by the way. Granted, the Staff of Forbidden Spinjitzu doesn't assimilate Zane's psyche like Star Dream assimilates Haltmann's, but a lot of the ideas are still there-and the Staff does still integrate itself pretty deeply into the Nindroid's code as it slowly actualizes.)
I have no words for how absolutely awesome this is in every way. i just keep rereading this and being amazed. the "Dark Ice Network" idea is literally so cool, I particularly love the Ice Emperor being able to monitor the entire land while his body/the staff is the main 'hub' he has to protect. this is aweosme.
everyone look now please
