Little Joey Oscar trying to squeeze his way into the front pocket of a hoodie anytime anyone is wearing one. And everyone getting really concerned about him because he is determined to force his way in. Until someone has a light bulb moment of him being a Joey and his momma would have had a pouch.

Then Lewis sewing up a fluffy little pouch whilst Oscsr looks on bouncing up and down because he's so excited to finally be able to curl up in a pouch like his instincts are telling him to do. 🥺

Oscar whining and trying unsuccessfully to wiggle into sweater pockets and seeming so sad when he doesn't fit!

Everyone js a little worried for the joey until someone realises what Osc is trying to do! Lewis sewing the pouch while Oscar is jumping around so excited! Lewis putting it on his lap and instsntly he has the little kangaroo crawling in and cuddling up! He is so cosy and purring as he wiggles further into the poucha

this post is gonna be a mess but i really want to talk about the roy/kennedy parallels because i think about them a Lot

chappaquiddick/nobody is ever missing

so, the chappaquiddick incident. in july 1969, ted kennedy left a party with mary jo kopechne, who had helped during bobby kennedy's presidential run the year earlier. around midnight, kennedy crashed his car into poucha pond. he survived, kopechne didn't. he maintained that he tried to save her but couldn't, and his failure to report the accident immediately resulted in him getting his license suspended and a suspended jail sentence. this is basically beat for beat what happens with kendall and the waiter, save the outside manipulation by logan.

joe jr/connor

joseph kennedy jr was the firstborn son of joseph sr and rose kennedy. he was set up as the son to take over the family before his early death in 1944, leaving the position to fall to his younger brother john. it seemed like, at least before kendall, roman and shiv came along, logan took more of an interest in connor as the only child present to take over the company

john f kennedy and lem billings/kendall and stewy

john and lem met in school in their early teens and remained very close friends up until john's death. lem had his own room in the white house, and was one of john's confidants. jackie kennedy was quoted as saying something to the effect of not having a weekend in her marriage where lem wasn't present. lem was gay, albeit not openly because it was the 60s, and their relationship has been the source of a lot of speculation in regards to john's sexuality also. kendall and stewy met in school, they both went to harvard (kennedy's alma mater) and they've maintained that relationship since. stewy is who kendall has turned to multiple times through the show when he needed advice. ditto with the questions about sexuality.

there are probably things to be said re: jfk/kendall, joe sr/logan, shiv, roman, etc. etc. etc. might add them when i get my thoughts in order

oh someones definitely commented on this before but kendalls manslaughter is reminiscent of the chappaquiddick incident; on july 19, 1969, edward kennedy and mary jo kopechne were heading to katama, with kennedy driving. (he did not usually drive this car, he requested the keys from his chauffeur.) the car skidded off into poucha pond, killing kopechne. according to kennedy, he tried to save her, having swam back down 7 to 8 times and calling her name, but ultimately failed and left the scene of the accident. he did not report it until the next morning, but if he had, he could've saved kopechne's life. obviously, kendall and dodds were planning on going to see his contact, kendall drove bc dodds was too high to do it himself (though kendall was Also drunk iirc, but dodds could barely walk), then dodds took control of the vehicle and crashed the car into the river. kendall attempted to save him, swimming back into the river, but didnt report it until it was discovered the next morning. its not one-to-one, but its pretty similar. just thought i'd mention it -- succession has a tendency to add analogies/references to real-world politics and events, especially those that fly under the radar, e.g. "no real person involved"

日本語ラップ紹介ライブ。今回は大阪城野音にて。周りの情報量が多くてひぃ〜〜〜〜ってなったけど、それがあってもめちゃくちゃ楽しかった。あれやね、バンドと比べてヒップホップ耐性がマジでないのでこういうので知るたびにど直球で“ぐわっっっっっ（やられた）”ってなれるのマジで楽しいね。ありがと、くりぴちゃん。ほんとにありがと。口からメロディメーカー、天性の声質、それさえあればバイブスは問答無用にアガる（pouchas！！！）775ちゃんのやばさ。レペゼン住之江、ヒップホップやっとる兄ちゃんってこうよな！というイメージ通りのブリンブリンな見た目と家族想いのハートの熱さにほろっときたTYSONのやばさ。ステージに出てきた瞬間の身震いするような貫禄と関西弁でラップを始めたときの人懐っこさ、安心感、現場力の格の違いを見せつけたSHINGOさんのやばさ。まじすごかったな〜。楽しかったな〜。三者共、間髪入れずにメドレーみたいに美味しいとこだけかいつまんでいく感じがたまらんかったです。ずっとサビみたいな感じ。休むとこなし。この感じ、もっと知りたいぜ〜〜〜。
