It's definitely not The Day the Earth Stood Still meets The Doom Patrol, but, before anything really happens, Erik of Aunti Zero's Coffee Collective thinks it could be described that way.

Narrowly rejected alternative titles: Phage goes to Portland, A Sunspot Pember in America, and How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Nanites

Authors' bio (my system):

Born in the mid '70s, the Inmara are the daughters of a couple of printers living in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. They used to work as a graphic designer and are intersex, ace, autistic, biromantic, polyamorous, trigender, trans, and a plural system with a high therian count. They've wanted to write novels since they were 14, but ended up making a webcomic titled Harmless Free Radicals in their early 20s. In 2015, while outlining the closure of that comic, they discovered that they were trans and plural, and quickly worked out they were autistic shortly after that. And that's when the novels started pouring out. They've written and self published most of the Sunspot Chronicles, a web series about plurality, gender, and familial relations on an alien generational starship. With the Tunnel Apparati Diaries they hope to craft a new entry point into the series that can also work as a sequel, and maybe to bring the story down a little closer to Earth. When not writing books, they live in an apartment with two of their girlfriends, a teenager, a cat named Tuck, a paralysis demon named Phage, and a computer with the latest version of Blender on it.

also portland by bowling shoes and this one is bc my girlfriend showed me this song and we got to talking about where we would want to live when we graduated and we settled on moving to oregon and even though we ultimately said not portland exactly this song is still tied to that

get you the moon by kina as well and this is gonna sound dumb but somebody got a clip of me sitting on top of a building when i was out spider-manning and made one of those stupid sad bart simpson edits with that clip to this song 😭

2 - what does my house look like, who do i live with, n what's my fav part of my house?

so since it's just my cr but better i wil admit it's a boring cookie cutter house,, i could talk about my room ig tho? i don't have a bed i opted for a hammock bc i like feeling cocooned while i sleep lol. i have two desks one is for my spiderman stuff like my suit and my web-shooters and any upgrades i do (i also made doc ock's tentacles that i give to my cousin so we can have the dopest costumes😋) and the other desk for my pc and streaming stuff. i have a bookshelf full of all the spiderman comics as well as some engineering textbooks n fashion magazines n stuff, i live with my parents, brother, and eventually my little sister (she isn't born until a year after I shift) and my fav part of my house is the rood bc nobody else can get up there yk? i put blankets and pillows up there and stuff, it's nice lol

Oh I do, actually, ty for asking!

First one is Kaiki, who was going to be the protagonist for my Ein wip, but now I'm rebooting it so I think he'll ✨️shine✨️ the most as a supporting character.

He is trans, black, and Brazilian, and ace too. He dyed his hair so now it's blond instead of black, and he wears it in pigtails. He aso has two younger sisters (Luna and Stella) and an older one (Tatiana). His parents are divorced and he lives with his sisters and his aunt. I had such a haaard time figuring him out, because he originally was just a blank slot in the place of a protagonist but now he's fleshed out I'm taking him from the spotlight lol. But it's good since he's so fleshed out! He's very sex-repulsed but he can kinda stand romance. - About the story, he is an ambue (non-magic person living in the normal, living world) that gains magic someway (i decided it was going to be x way but since i also changed the magic system ill have to see) and gets recruited into Onemia, one of the multiple hidden magical countries in a secret web of nations. The story revolves around he and the main cast trying to avoid a war between Onemia and other hidde countries (also now the story makes much more sense bc with the protagonist i chose they have much more on the line if a war starts so it drives the plot better~).

Then I have ✨️Megan✨️. He's another trans man from a different story, Totsuka and Megan. He is from a completely magical world but can't learn magic because his guardians won't let him and nobody wants to teach him coz he got a magical condition (still figuring this one out, again remaking the magic system lol) so when a traveler, Totsuka arrives on his town, looking for a partner, he offers himself in exchange of being taught magic by her. The story is about them two going traveling together and saving some different people and nations :). Now, I like Megan a lot, he is also aroace (I really should make more aroallo ocs) and I didn't have that much of a hard time with him in general but boy his design was a pain to figure out. I think I changed it like three times in a row once. He is kind of the more grounded person between him and Totsuka because she is pretty hotheaded and stubborn while he is the most pragmatic out of the two. I'm still fleshing out their exact dinamic, but one thing I'm very fond of is that they have complementary personalities, AND despiste their designs not completely paraleling each other, their main colors are also complementary to each other :3 Totsuka's hair is v long, blue, and a main part of her design. Megan's shirt is bright orange and most of his design is also some tone of brown or toned down nude, so it revolves around that orange. He also is pretty disphoric, unlike Kaiki.

Next up is Lucy, also from Ein (same wip as Kai). She greycupioaro and a trans girl. Unlike the rest of the cast, she is actually USAmerican and white. She is also ambue and gnc, and one of the which I had the easiest time with. Her hair is blond and short and her favorite color to wear is light blue. Her full name (i had so much fun with this one!) is Lucy Diana Portland. Diana because of the marvel hero. BUT there is a special arc im planning where she goes missing and loses her memory, to join a group of the special forces of another magical country. In that arc she adopts the name of Fennice White -> i have lots of characters for this special force but not very detailed yet

•Leviathan lives with his Uncle(by marriage), Barbatos!

•Earth 1.1508(or 1.15 since that's shorter to say) has unfortunately been the subject of extreme flooding. Causing Levi's home of Portland, Maine to more closely resemble our Earth's Italy. Most transport is via waterways or walking.

After having lost his father and uncle in a fishing accident and his mother being unable to care for him.

•Leviathan was bitten during a school trip to a science lab, more akin to Spider-Man(2017)

•He created his own web-shooters and webbing! Designing it to be more rigid so it works just aswell underwater as it does on land

•His suit and tech has been more adapted for aquatics aswell, most of them being waterproof if not entirely hydrophobic. Though this is more to the adaptions of his Earth's technology more than anything Levi himself has done

•Levi's knowledge of comics and video games allows him to make us of hammerspace that some of the other Sins cannot! (Namely Asmo, Belphie and Satan) while the others can make use of it is to a far less ridiculous extent than Levi.

His silly swimshorts are a Mary Poppins bag of web reloads, first aid supplies, tools to repair his things and general teenage needs(cell phone, house keys etc)

•His suit has more of wetsuit material than a traditional heroes costume, as well having "grip" pads on the palms and fingers
