That was such a funny scene to write! Especially since the payoff on the joke is like three chapters later.

The joke being that she thinks Jason is being unreasonable so maybe Jason even believes her when she complains, but then everyone in the Batfamily agrees with Jason and Martha just has to live with that.

On sent que le chemin a été éprouvant et pour éviter de tomber sur d'autres soldats, elle se fait passer pour un homme. Et comme ça, elle apprend que la guerre est terminé, comme ça sans qu'elle ait pu voir quoi que ce soit. Elle s'était battue pour cette guerre, a perdu son unité pour au final l'apprendre de la bouche des soldats, c'est une cruelle ironie. Surtout que même les soldats se demandent pourquoi ils se sont battus, ils essaient de se réconforter en disant qu'ils ont fait ça pour leurs maisons et leurs familles mais on sent qu'ils sont fatigués par ce qu'ils ont vécu. Paul est gentil avec lui et propose de l'épouser mais refuse car son coeur appartient à quelqu'un d'autre. Et comprend parfaitement mais au final, il n'a pas tenu le coup, je me dis que c'est un peut être un peu too much quand même. Je veux dire, sa conviction de plus vouloir perdre quoi que ce soit, ça c'est retourné contre elle, son unité a été décimée la laissant que pour seule survivante et maintenant ça. Elle va avoir le coeur brisé en voyant qu'Henry a épousé quelqu'un d'autre.

And he understands perfectly, but in the end, he just couldn't make it, so I'm thinking it might be a little too much. I mean, her conviction that she didn't want to lose anything turned against her, her unit was decimated, leaving her as the sole survivor, and now this. She's going to be heartbroken when she finds out Henry has married someone else.

Clark really does love Martha and Phillip really loves Elizabeth. But then Clark isn’t needed any more and there’s just Phillip, and how does he feel about Martha? And Elizabeth doesn’t love Phillip and Clark marries Martha, but then Elizabeth does love Phillip and Phillip isn’t married to her. And Elizabeth is Clark’s sister and she’s watching her not-husband marry Martha. And Elizabeth is married to Phillip and Clark doesn’t exist and where will Martha go?

Dan came from the Flashpoint timeline, which was destroyed. Well, mostly destroyed. There were a few things that slipped through, which would be concerning if it was anything else. Honestly Danny has no clue what to think about the murder-grandpa Batman ghost, but honestly, he’s happy to get proper training and- holy fuck the murder-batman just oneshot Vlad away this is his new favorite person.

I admit I was also expecting a known character and/or one related to the main plot being the owner of the cottage house but I am not disappointed by the reveal of Mrs. Anabel.

Not for the first time in this story, we were shown that being on different side of the war does not mean you need to be enemies. People can utimately chose peace and forgiveness, if given the opportunity.

Mrs. Anabel could have easily left Martha to die but she chose not to, because she didn't want someone else to lose a daughter.

Just like Twillight spared Franky when they first met, because he saw that this enemy was actually just a guy trying to survive.

In the end, they are all humans under the same night sky.
