One has zero concern, has been through this at least a dozen times and always manages to evade it. The other one is in a state of shock, has no idea what's going on or why he's here, and is one hard stare away from crying.

Hello 2024 Hetalia fandom. I want to talk about schizophrenic Arthur Kirkland.

Background: I myself is someone with psychosis, along with experience with schizophrenic family members. I'm not talking completely out of my ass. But not do I obviously speak for every mental ill person ever. Moreover, I am pulling on the way being a nation would affect his relationship with being schizophrenic.

I am extremely new to the fandom, but my best friend who has been here for a decade has talked with me about how the idea was handled in the past. I want to give this headcanon a genuine and sincere look at it, because I think it's interesting and I want to project onto Arthur a little.

One of the reasons he's a terrible cook is actually because of his schizophrenia. Disordered thinking means he struggles to follow steps in a recipe. The impact on his motor skills makes him even worse. Please do not give this man a knife. He will cut himself.

I think because of his own experience with cooking, he is prone to food related paranoia, things like it being rotten or poisoned, sometimes affected by the era/current events. During times of famine he's gonna lean towards rotten, verse maybe some civil unrest leading to him thinking his food is poisoned. Disordered eating is a huge problem for him. (We found out partly where Alfred gets it from lol)

Continuing with the food theme, smelling rotten food is a common hallucination for him. Olfactory hallucinations just make sense for him to me, so the smell of fire and gas is a common one too. (This is partly the effect of the many London fires throughout the centuries).

In terms of visional hallucinations, I don't think he'd be very prone to it. Reality checks for them he'd have to rely on his British Isles brothers for them, due to being able to see actual mythical creatures. This is made hard by the fact he's often not on speaking terms with his brothers. This has resulted in an incident where Arthur had assumed a creature following him was a hallucination, that turned out to be real and was HIGHLY offended at being ignored for so long.

In terms of delusions, being a public figure makes discerning reality difficult at times. He is super prone to delusions about being hated by everyone, or being the most popular person ever. This can be hard to reality check because well, he is famous, and sometimes the public does hate him, and people have tried to kill him. My poor man's ego can NOT handle being a public figure with schizophrenia.

In terms of disordered movement, he would get slapped with that very 'childish' label. Arthur holds himself and moves in a way that looks weird to others. He moves way too much, everything has more motion and steps than necessary, overly fluid. It often leads to people getting accidentally hit by a stray hand from Arthur.

Arthur is NOTORIOUS for his word salad. I feel like Francis over the years has adjusted to understand a lot of Arthur's word salad but still sometimes it's like

Antonio: uhhh what did he say?

Francis: Don't look at me, this is even beyond my understanding of England.

Alfred is the worst of the native English speaking countries when it comes to understanding Arthur's word salad. Like Ludwig is better at guess what Arthur meant than Alfred is.

I mean there are plenty of fics where he isn't the main antagonist, where there's no antagonist at all (ML has a lot of fluff), but I'm assuming you mean fics where there IS a main antagonist but that antagonist isn't him, and probably a more epic sort of story with an antagonist on Gabriel's scale and not like, a high school bully kind of thing (not that there's a lot of those I'd rec anyway).

Her new 'friend' is definitely a handful, and suddenly Paris has a supervillain and two brand new superheroes! Alya finds herself balancing a lot of things, trying to live up to her ideals and those of her icons.

And then reality seems to contradict itself.

As time progresses it seems to happen more often. Becoming a hero, battling villains, staying alive, working through friendships. Something is lurking, tweaking events at times, changing them, and no one seems aware. Alya will need all her wits to get to the bottom of this. Her investigative mind can only get her so far though, and then she needs to rely on her friends. This is not a foe you can beat head on.

I betaed this entire fic, it’s really good! I adore the focus on Alya’s philosophy here, her determination to be a hero, to help people and defeat evil - and that defeating evil means trying to reform the people doing bad things when possible, to try to save EVERYONE, even the “villain”. I thought it was really clever the ways Alya would redirect Chloe and subtly encourage her to be a better person, while also trying to get the people around her to give her a second chance and keep an open mind. 

Also Alya and Chloe are an adorable sapphic couple XD.

When tragedy sends Adrien Agreste racing back to Paris to run his father’s fashion house, Marinette doesn’t expect much from her very new, very rich boss. At least not until she is set up on a blind date with a very familiar face.

Much to her surprise, Adrien Agreste was hiding far more secrets behind his stoic business-like mask of temporary CEO. Maybe as many secrets as she had been trying to hide for years.

As they grow closer, Marinette fears her mask isn’t nearly as foolproof. Day after day, it gets harder for her to keep all her secrets well hidden from the surprisingly sweet man who insisted on staying by her side as often as possible.

Only she couldn’t afford to fail. Not when her biggest secret could spell the end of the job she’d dreamed about for years.

They might not be superheroes in this universe, but secret identities are still active here. Both Marinette and Adrien used to be involved with the Ladybug and Chat Noir movies, and both kept that a secret - Adrien especially, since if his father found out about it, there could be some bad repercussions, as he voiced Chat Noir without Gabriel’s permission. Marinette, meanwhile, is well known for making cosplay (calling herself “Ladybug” after the movie), and has been in contact with “Chat Noir” for quite some time before the story starts - not that she knows he’s the actual VA.

It’s mostly an Adrienette fic with the two of them getting to know each other after their unusual “first” meeting, where Marinette pretended to be Kagami in order to scupper the date with Adrien and get Tomoe off her back, with some intrigue and drama thrown in. Lila’s skulking around causing problems for the people around her, but she’s honestly not the main focus here.

Kwami Magi Homura Magica by Crossoverpairinglover

After eighty-four loops in time, Homura Akemi takes a new path to Paris to save her friends.

The sixty-third loop after that, Homura arrived at the Agreste Mansion.

After clash after clash with the heroes of Paris and its greatest menace, events have reached a tipping point.

Ladybug faces someone verging on a second wish, a wish that endangers space and time to save a friend.

This was an absolutely AMAZING story that crossoverpairinglover dropped out of NOWHERE. Seriously, if you like Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Miraculous Ladybug, this is a real treat - but be prepared to sit down and binge, because it’s over 100,000 words and only has three chapters. 

Anyway, I adore the care that’s taken with going through Homura’s mindset here, she gets a lot of character focus. And the lore! There’s some good explanations here for the history behind kwamis and Incubators’ interactions, and the Order of the Guardians normally treats Magical Girls, and why the Incubators are wrong in their assessment of the universe needing more energy to stave off entropy (hint: it involves Plagg), and just... there was a lot of love put into this.

And the action! Most Miraculous fics don’t have much in the way of fight scenes, and what they do have is mostly just functional. This is one of the rare exceptions. There’s some really long, detailed fight scenes in this (roughly the entire second half of the second chapter has one between Ladybug and Homura), which are a treat to read! 

We also get some glimpses into a variety of other universes here, other timelines, alternate ways things could have gone down - I’m especially partial to the rather detailed view we get of one where Homura sent a message asking for help to the Ladyblog on her third time loop, and how things progressed from there. 

The ending I also thought was really good, a happy ending that generally made sense and dealt with the issue of the Incubators. 

If you can’t tell I’m really happy with this fic, it was incredible and unexpected. The length of the individual chapters can be daunting, but if you’re up for the task, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

Dreams had long been his only escape. Dreams of Ladybug, the girl who had always been there for him.

If only in his dreams. And only while she was also sleeping.

Because with the first rays of sunshine gliding over her skin, with the first fluttering of her eyelashes, from the moment she opened her eyes in the morning, memories of Adrien would vanish from her mind.

She would go on living her life.

He would always be the only one who remembered.

At least until they meet in the real world and fall in love all over again, something that would’ve been easier to do if Adrien wasn't a prisoner in his own home.

Chocoluckchipz has some of the most beautifully executed lovesquare fics I’ve read, and this is no exception. Most of the fic is dedicated to Adrien wooing Marinette, spending time with her, with her own dream self acting as his wingman, giving her tips on how to get her to fall for him, all the while frustrated that she can’t share memories with her waking self, and that she and Adrien can’t share as much information as they’d like while asleep, due to limitations of the “curse” that allows Adrien to share dreams with his soulmate. 

It’s not all cute Adrienette fluff though. There’s a threat in the background waiting to erupt, as the weirdness of Gabriel’s ultimatum to Adrien about finding Ladybug or else being forced to marry Lila keeps on gnawing at him - and with good reason. This is a world with magic and kwamis still, and that fact makes itself very relevant in the last third of the story. 

It’s a well-written tale and very much worth a read!

Azrael and Reader met Francis when they were on earth, the poor dude just so happen to bump into them lmao and a very weird friendship happened.

Francis, a lower ranked virtue angel. Same height as Husk. Azrael is literally looming over him. Slightly tanned skin but not enough to be considered like brown, just a little bit. Dark brown hair with hints of black, wolfcut hairstyle. Black eyes. Wears a white t-shirt with a knitted dark brown sweater on top and some black pants. Late ask, but just wtf is Sanremo? All I can tell it's something Catholic and has to do with a Saint, but based on the chaos I saw in your reblogs, it also isn't?? The Italian part of me needs to know, mainly because it makes sense for a festival about a Saint to be insane, seeing as many stories about them are pretty insane (read in a children's book on St. Francis of Aussi that when he accepted God's call he stripped naked and strolled out of town, while heard St. Patrick once cursed a group of people being jerks to be werewolves (he asked God to help him out and God was like "Yeah I'll grant you a solid my dude")

Nono it's not something Catholic, it's called Sanremo because it takes place in Sanremo, a city in Liguria.

Sanremo it's the "Festival of the italian song" (people can only sing in Italian, that's one of the rules)

But, basically, it's a musical competition where we decide who's gonna represent Italy in Eurovision. Sanremo is way older than Eurovision toh, at first it was just a competition on its own but then they decided to use it for Eurovision too.

The reason why it looks so chaotic it's because IT IS CHAOTIC XD at least it has been for the past 4 years, it became so much fun to watch. So many funny things happened.

We once had this guy, Morgan, who changed his lyric to insult the guy who was gonna sing with him, Bugo. And this poor guy just straight up left the stage and DISAPPEARED for the rest of the night 💀

Okay, this isn't exactly an hour after you posted (grad school is KICKING MY ASS) but I am here to scream in your ask box! With probably greater than 50% of the fic quoted XD

The rush of fondness that came was unconscious, automatic and as human as they ever felt. "Holy Christ," He pinched limbs snaking around his neck and flung them off, gripping the slender creature giving him the world's most gentle, affectionate mauling and holding him at arm's length.

I don't know what I'm more in love with- Matthew feeling secure enough to immediately bear hug Alasdair, or Alasdair's mood instantly improving when he realizes Matt's there. It's just so sweet.

"The bosun said he would tell father I've done well. Would you speak to him? And tell father? Please? If it's not a bother."

Sobbing The poor baby is so worried about proving that he did what he was told. My heart.

"Christ almighty, I'm going to clap your father into a stockade," Alasdair muttered as he gently tried to sponge the raw skin clean of salt. "What was he thinking?"

I would very much like to see that. I know it's not "that bad" by the standards of the day and Alasdair's mainly expressing sympathy, but I'm going to imagine a world where Arthur steps off his own boat and immediately gets locked in a stockade for a while for being a dick. I think many things would be improved if that happened.

Alasdair snorted. "And the beanpole. Honestly, did they forget to feed you?" "Only sometimes!" Matt said chipperly, blowing at the suds and shaping peaks like merengue out of the bubbles. It was strange, sometimes, that even after a century and a half, children remained like their physical age.

FUCKING OW. JUST STAB ME NEXT TIME, IT'D BE KINDER.

It's the "chipperly" that really murdered me. This poor baby. Alasdair's asking rhetorically because surely they didn't actually forget to feed the boy... and Matt's just happily playing with bubbles while he explains that yep, they did, because he was all alone. The fact that it doesn't even register as a problem for him is just... ow.

"Matthew." Alasdair repositioned himself to the side of the tub instead of the back. The lad was still slight for his age and dwarfed by all the suds in the tub long enough for Alasdair to stretch out. For a bizarre moment, he recalled Arthur, even younger, even smaller, with terrified eyes in the waters at Aqua Sulis when he'd been playing and lost track of their mother. "Grapes or apples? Or there are some plums if you'd like those. Won't do to have you keeling over of scurvy on land."

I've said it before, Arthur being the youngest adds something very bittersweet to these relationships and you know exactly how to use it to twist the knife. Alasdair's currently trying to repair some of the damage the bastard's done, but he can't help but remember when that bastard was such a little kid.

Also, that last line... Alasdair's being affectionate and a good caretaker and all, but it broke my heart because Matt absolutely has keeled over from scurvy on dry land. Poor neglected snowpile.

A long, inefficient pause. Not inefficient, Alasdair thought, but nervous.

I loved this because it's that little jump from "his first reaction" to "what does this mean in the context of Matt's personality" that Arthur never seems to make. Alasdair cares enough to stop and actually think about his reaction and what Matt's like rather than just immediately getting annoyed.

He thumbed Francis' curls off a sharp face that was too like Arthur's as a boy, with eyes as large as they were clever. It was strange how a child made of so much of the two great sources of disquiet in Alasdair's life could be so endearing.

I just wanted to pause and appreciate this. Arthur and Francis are pains in the ass, but at least Alasdair got his favorite family member out of their bullshit.

"No one will ever give you up if I have a say in it," Alasdair said, closing his eyes against the dampness suddenly there. History had taken his mother and all the sweetness Arthur ever had. He kissed Matthew’s forehead. "I can promise you that. You have my name." "It's just… I had Lord Bonnefoy's too." Matthew said very quietly. "I was part of New France. Now I'm… Not."

Sobbing much harder The comparison of "Arthur growing into who he is today" to their mother dying is... I'm gonna need a minute. Again, you're just so damn good at writing/exploring those relationships.

And the pain from both of them. Alasdair's thinking that he's already lost so much of his family one way or another, he can't bear to lose his nephew. And Matt's lost one father already, he can't quite believe that he won't be given up again. It hurts so much.

Alasdair exhaled the urge to smash Francis' face into one of mother's standing stones and thumbed Matthew's face. "I stood as your godfather when you were born. Did you know that?" Matthew shook his head. "You were too little to remember." Alasdair held him tighter. "But I am. And François… He's always had the gentler climate. Fair weather. Do you understand what I mean?"

I have been sitting for 20 minutes trying to process this one section and I just cannot. Just... feelings. Emotion. Something about responding to Matt's insecurity with "I stood as your godfather when you were born" is so... I think it's the humanity? Matt's been tossed around and abandoned because of who they are as nations, and Alasdair's saying "I'm not just another part of the empire, and you're not a colony to me. I'm your godfather, we're related as people."

Also, you've said someone "exhaled [an emotion]" in a couple of fics and I love it. It's such an evocative line. You have such fantastic ideas and you execute them in ways that give me chills every time. (Also also, Alasdair specifically wanting to smash Francis's face into "mother's standing stones" when his mother has been on his mind, and thinking about the fic where he asks her for help with Matt... again, I can't describe it but it's a lot.)

"That I'm too cold." Matthew shivered, and Alasdair rubbed a circle in his back like he had when the lad was tiny, not that he was much larger now.

Okay, Alasdair probably should've seen that one coming. The poor baby is so insecure about his climate.

"No. That he can be a fair weather friend. We Scots are made of sterner stuff. You and I." He thumbed an idle curl, pondering the boy. Matthew glanced up, eyes wide and watery. Alasdair looked him in the eye, in what little light was left and repeated himself for emphasis. "You and I, both."

Sobbing so hard Nobody in Matt's life is amazing at parenting, but Alasdair does try very hard and love him very much.

Your headcanons about Frain 🥺🥺🥺

Oh, hi!

I'm sorry for taking soooo long to answer T_T I was very busy, plus, I didn't really know what to answer D: I either have no headcanons at all or they are too many and too specific, I needed time to clear my mind. I wrote so much I devided the answer in two parts, hope you don't mind. And I'm sorry if my answer is not what you're looking for, or if my hcs are too complex and/or repetitive, feel free to ask me anything, and sorry again for the long long wait :( Oh, and mind this is all kind of... from a Spanish perspective, I guess. In case you find it too "hispanocentric" or whatever, that's because I don't know French culture or history in enough depth to talk much about it.

Here we go :)

Most of the time they speak their own languages when they are together. Antonio has almost a native knowledge of French language, but he still struggles a bit with modern pronunciation of French, so he is embarrassed to speak it lest they think he comes from the 12th century XD (he learnt it in Medieval times, so it is old French pronunciation he learned, plus Medieval pronunciation was easier for Iberian Romance language speakers). France, having a somewhat lower level of Spanish, does however a really good job at mimicking Castilian accent, but he is too proud of his language to drop his thick French accent (he is perfectly capable of hiding his frenchness when interested, though XD). They also used to speak in Occitan (mostly during the Middle Ages), and they still do it from time to time, but not very often.  This is a language from southern France, but it has the same roots as other Spanish languages like Catalan and/or Valencian (and pronunciation wise is closer to Castilian and other Spanish and even Italian languages than it is to modern French). Actually, Occitan is also spoken in Spain in the Val d’Aran (Valle de Arán). Sometimes, though, they speak Latin.  It is not planned, it just happens, Latin is their "native" language after all.

Francis likes suits, dresses, and to keep up with fashion and I imagine he likes to see Antonio wearing the best suits (and take them off later), so he does buy him lot of clothing.  Antonio does like it and appreciate Francis' efforts, but at times he feels Francis over does it. He prefers to dress more simple and informal. He will spend a considerable amount of time taking care of his looks, but his style is just not as elaborate. He does have a good fashion sense when it comes to dates, important meetings, or work, but on the day to day basis, he just favours comfort over aesthetics (also, he's handsome enought to look good in a rubbish bag, so who cares XD). All in all, while at times slightly bothered by Francis messing with his wardrobe, Antonio actually likes it. I feel Francis also enjoys buying “other” types of clothing (maybe even female dresses, for either himself or Antonio) for… scientific research 👀. Carnival is probably Francis favourite time of the year, so many costumes to design, so many characters to portray, and so many kinky situations to enact XD

Francis really likes to cook and indulge Antonio, so he would be the one to cook more often, but from time to time Antonio likes to take over the kitchen, and Francis does certainly not complain. When they have guests, however, they both like to cook together. Francis also likes to treat Antonio to nice breakfast, but he particularly likes Spanish toasts with tomatoes and ham, so when he’s particularly feeling down or depressed it will be Antonio’s time to indulge him with breakfast in bed.

They visit each other a whole lot. They cannot really live together the whole year because, well, they are countries, so they have to stick to their territory most of the time, but they visit each other very frequently. They also tend to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve together, though it is not always possible. Christmas would most probably be at Francis’ semi-luxurious apartment in Paris, having a calm dinner on Christmas eve and a nice lunch on Christmas day, chatting and softly making out in front of the chimney, while New Year’s eve would be at Antonio’s simpler but centric apartment in Madrid, so they can go out to Puerta del Sol and eat the 12 grapes and enjoy Madrid's nightlife.

They both have quite a handful of residence across their respective countries, but I imagine Francis to have this nice rustic home in the countryside where they often go for a couple of weeks in the springtime, before the weather gets too hot, to enjoy nature and the tranquillity it offers (here are quite a few images of what I imagine the aestehtic to be like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). Whenever they have “family meetings” (I mean, Latin countries, with Portugal, Romania, Italy, etc.) in France specifically, they go to this place, to have lunch and dinner outside in the garden; enjoy the night talking about old times, telling anecdotes, playing card games, bickering about who has the best food, the best cheese (shaming France because half his people use butter instead of olive oil, roquefort vs cabrales competitions XD),art, etc., and just having a good time together. On the other hand, Antonio would have either some type of renovated cortijo (similar to this one in the video) in either Northern Andalucía or somewhere in Extremadura or Castilla la Mancha, with mountains nearby, natural pools, lakes, and/or rivers (here I made a post with some photos 😊) or some sort of Catalan masía (1 & 2). I think these are very nice and enchanting, almost romantic places to spend the warmest days of springtime before the heat waves hit hard. They do enjoy going to the beach during the warmest months of summer, so they definitely have a house in a rather secluded, not very well known spot to enjoy some privacy in either Valencia or the Balearic Island (though I think they are old enough to have visited pretty much all nice beaches in both countries XD).

When they have to organize some sort of party with many other nations as guests, Francis likes to do so in some of his modern and very luxurious palace, like the Château de Fontainebleau, the Château de Chambord, and on very special occasions even in the Château de Versailles. On the other hand, Antonio prefers either Galician pazos (1, 2 & 3), or medieval castles, which tend to be not has huge as modern royal palaces and a bit less voluptuous. I’m thinking of places such as the Castillo de Jarandilla de la Vera, Castillo de la Arguijuela, Castillo de Seguras or Castillo de Ampudias (some pictures here). Problem is, these old castles are where he keeps all his old stuff, not the paintings and jewels of the Spanish Monarchs, but his own, personal items and old sort of belongings from the days of yore, so he sometimes gets emotional about the past and Francis ends up having to comfort him about whatever got to him this time.

Going back to the ship XD While Antonio dislikes Francis’ arrogance, almost disdain, Francis dislikes Antonio’ stubbornness and the sulry behaviour he has at times. However, weirdly enough, both those things become a massive turn on when it comes to certain activities 👀. What they probably aren’t fully aware of is that Antonio also does come off as arrogant at times, and Francis can be pretty stubborn himself when things don’t go his way.

They enjoy each other company the most, so they don’t really need to do any specific activity to pass the time, just chatting while touching each other’s hands or shoulders from time to time makes them happy. However, they like to go out to dine quite often. They would usually also go out to cafés, take long walks in parks, and go to the theatre (for whatever reason, I think they really enjoy theatre, more so than watching films on tv or going to the cinema, maybe because the format reminds them of the good old days, plus Francis is very dramatic, so theatre kind of suits him, right? XD). They also enjoy reading, more so chivalric epic novels or romances, and sometimes one of them will read out loud while the other rests and enjoys the storytelling.

They LOVE practicing fencing. They are both pretty good at it (coughspainsbettercough), and it is probably the sport they enjoy the most (and the only sport Francis likes, other than horse riding lol).

Speaking of horses, Antonio was always pretty good with horses (since ancient times), so in the old days (they can't do it that often any more) they used to go horse riding in the forest, either just to entertain themselves with the ride, or to go somewhere private. During the Pactos de Familia they would have done this very very often. It was romantic, intimate and one of Antonio's favourite passtimes and a way for him to relax and forget his worries for a while.

If they were ever to live together they would definitely have a Great Pyrenees as a pet.

This is actually kind of canon. Spain really enjoys old things, particularly ships, maps AND weapons like swords, daggers, and so on. He does have a nice collection of those, but of course, so does France. From time to time, on very special occasions, Francis lets Antonio choose one weapon from his own personal collection, or maybe gift him a new exotic one, the fancier the merrier.

Francis does call Spain mon lapin. I know, I know, in the fandom it is usually England who gets called that way, but like, Spain supposedly means land of the rabbits. It really doesn't, the most accepted theory is that it mens "(is)land of the metalsmiths" or "(is)land where metals are forged", but for a long time they thought island abundant in rabbits was the real meaning. Probably the Romans thought so too, since in Roman coins we often find Spain being portrayed as a yong woman with a rabbit at her feet. Plus, it gives way to a lot of kinky jokes and pervert ideas, and Francis would definitely revel in the thought of Antonio as a bunny XD

Maybe a little bit out of topic, but for the Napoleon wars I always imagined their soundtrack to be Treachery from Bleach (seriously, the lyrics are... just perfect from Spain pov, they really are spot on, you can even infer there was an intimate relationship prior the treason, I just love this song, it would play in the moment of Antonio's realisation that Francis is... no good and he means no good treacherously XD). For this exact same historical period, from Antonio pov, I also like the song Le Bien qui fait Mal from the musical Mozart l'Opéra Rock 👀. And for like... every other time they were at war or betrayed each other (which almost became a constant in the modern era, tbh) I like the songs of Friend or Foe by t.A.T.u and Six Pieds Sous Terre from the musical Mozart l'Opéra Rock too (here the lyrics of the last song in English, though there's a mistake, it says "your vanity is not worth war", it does suit them, more so in the 18th and 19th century with the whole God is dead, but Antonio being still pretty religious). From Francis' perspective on the Napoelon wars, from the raise of the French Empire and its expansionism, to the moment everything starts to crumble and he finally realises Antonio really doesn't want to be with him (these guys really thought they were being nice, saving Spanish people from whatever, and that Spaniards would comply and submit to them, jajajaja XD) I really like the song Ego by Willy William. And sorry for bringing up the Peninsular war, couldn't help it, Madrid conmemorated a battle of the war of Independence just the past weekend XD

Last but not least 😉Love between nations is not easy. First, they have to put their people’s feelings and well-being first, and if the two nations are at war, or simply there’s no interest in a political union, a romantic relationship can be seen as dangerous or just unwanted. Thus, privacy is important. So there’s this street in Rhodes (Greece) called “The Street of the Knights”, in which there are seven inns where the knights of the Order of St. John would accomodate when in town. The inn of Provence (a French region now, back in the day it was a bit more complex, but still pretty much linked to the French nation) is connected by an arch bridge to the Inn of Spain, on the other side of the street. I guess these two thought the Inn of France was too big and too public (the headmaster of the Order was French, so it was the biggest one), and found it usefull and discreet to be able to meet "in secret" and go from one room to another without being seen (as if an arch bridge wasn't telling enough), so they put the Inn of Provence to good use.

Ups, editting because I forgot what is probably the most important hc (just kidding). Antonio 100% calls Francis “gabacho”. He sometimes will also call him Francisco, or just Paco, only because he knows it annoys the living hell out of Francis. The reason to call him gabacho is not to bother him, though, it just comes natural to him to call Francis that way XD Of course, he doesn’t always call him that, but sometimes? Yes, he does. And yes, gabacho is a derogatory term for French people, but like all derogatory terms, you will only use it openly with people you are very familiar with, and feel confortable with. To be perfectly honest, that term is now more familiar and affectionate, rather than derogatory, but it of course depends on how you say it and the context in which you use it. Any way, affectionate or not, there’s just no way Antonio does not call Francis gabacho from time to time.

Hello, Ninjago fandom, while we impatiently wait for the second half of Crystalized to be released, may I interest you in some good old nostalgic shows with familiar Canadian voice actors to pass the time. Ironically, Sam Vincent (Lloyd’s VA) is in every single one of my suggested shows and in 3 of the 4, he’s got a lead role. XD

Also, I need more people to revive some of these old fandoms! Please hear me out while I info dump! The options get better as we go along since I firmly believe in saving the best for last. I hope you like my long ramble.

First off, we have Slugterra:

This show had a pretty good run with multiple seasons and specials. It’s a good action show and enjoyable for passing the time. I binge watched it while reading through my driver’s training stuff. A solid Saturday morning-esque show.

As far as notable characters and voice actors go, we’ve got:

Eli Shane voiced by Sam Vincent (Lloyd’s VA): he’s the main guy and very comparable to Lloyd since he’s got daddy issues. Poor guy spends forever trying to locate his dad while at the same time filling the role as hero and protector of the Caverns. Also, he’s the reason this show got so many female viewers. Those simps.

Dr. Thaddeus Blakk voiced by Mark Oliver (Garmadon’s VA): he’s the typical big bad villain type. A bit bland but it’s hilarious to listen to if you’re a Ninjago fan because all you end up hearing is Lloyd vs. Garmadon half the time.

Kord Zane voiced by Andrew Francis (Morro’s VA): he’s a troll and the muscle and mechanic of the main group. Not much to say about him. He’s a sweet, protective dude. Also, I just like that he’s got the name Kord Zane since I’m a huge Zane fan.

Trixie Sting voiced by Shannon Chan-Kent (Racer Seven’s VA): she’s neat and seems to be the second in command to Eli. She’s you’re typical strong female character type. Good news is that there’s no annoying trope that she is in love with the main guy though.

Pronto voiced by Lee Tockar (Borg’s VA): he fits the comedic relief trope really well. Unfortunately, he’s borderline annoying for me. I don’t have anything really notable to say about him. You just gotta tolerate him. Occasionally he has his uses.

Junjie voiced by Vincent Tong (Kai’s VA): he’s not a main character but I really love him and the Asian influence the show goes through when he’s around. Cool dude that also has so much trauma packed into him when you think about all he went through. You’ll understand if you watch.

Burpy is the iconic slug of the series. A 10/10 character. Loyal as ever and super adorable. Sassy when he wants to be.

Pros of this show:

Adorable side character slugs with awesome powers

Elemental slugs!!

a whole arc about trying to free a place from an evil emperor (sound familiar?)

Teaches against animal cruelty.

Shadow creatures that for once aren’t evil villains.

So many other familiar side characters with Ninjago VA’s. It’s honestly just fun to see how many familiar voices you can pick out.

Interesting concept, lore, and world building if you dig deep enough and overanalyze everything.

Cool fights and slug shootouts.

Action with a side of found family is always a plus.

Solid team dynamics and brotherly teasing.

A bonus is that there’s very little romance in this show. Very refreshing to see.

Next we have a forgotten classic, Class of the Titans:

This show had two seasons and had a decent ending. It definitely deserved more run time because there really aren’t that many animated shows about Greek Mythology that are kid friendly. A big main crew with a few familiar Ninjago voice actors sprinkled in for the fun of it. Another Saturday morning-esque show but with a better feel of having an overarching plot than Slugterra did in my opinion.

They have so many character tropes that create the whole main crew so I’m going to try to go through them quickly.

Jay voiced by Kirby Morrow (Cole’s VA): the level-headed leader. Very similar to how Cole started out as team leader. Also, it’s just funny for Ninjago fans to see a character named Jay be voiced by Cole’s voice actor.

Theresa voiced by Kelly Sheridan (Gayle Gossip’s VA or better known for playing Barbie): a psychic seer who is Jay’s love interest (reminds me of Barbie and the Nutcracker solely bc of the voice actors). I wish I liked her more, especially since she’s a seer like Zane. Honestly, neither girl characters really stand out to me but they’re nice to have around.

Atlanta voiced by Meghan Black in season one: the action archer girl who has super speed. She’s neat and very strong-willed. (Side note: I find it funny that every main character girl I’ve mentioned so far are all redheads.)

Odie voiced by Doron Bell Jr. (Griffin’s VA): the smart tech guy. He has his uses and sassy moments. It’s also funny to see what was considered high tech back in the mid 2000s.

Herry voiced by Ty Olsson: your typical strong, protective, big brother guy trope. He’s got a really awesome, scrappy grandma.

Neil voiced by Ted Cole: the self-absorbed guy who serves as comedic relief a good portion of the time. Some might find him annoying but he has his high points and is genuinely funny. He’s not a fighter at all and is dubbed “the lucky one.” And boy, is he lucky indeed.

Archie voiced by Sam Vincent (Lloyd’s VA): my personal favorite. He’s an occasional jerk but he’s genuinely an adorkable guy. I relate to his whole “wonky ankle” thing, but he’s a great warrior regardless (and the second fastest on the team? How?). He’s got a huge crush on Atlanta which is amusing and sometimes cringy to watch.

Cronus voiced by David Kaye: the main villain of the show. Typical wicked guy who wants to end the kids who are prophesied to defeat him. I know there’s a good number of simps for him. It’s hilarious how much this god loathes this group of kids but is also genuinely terrified of them, especially Jay.

Pros:

If you’re missing Cole’s voice actor, this is the show to watch.

The entire show is free on YouTube Very imaginative spin on some of the Greek gods like Dionysius to make it kid friendly. And wait til you see Hades.

Still, they aren’t afraid to show the gods can be petty and vengeful.

Greek mythology! What more could you want?

I personally love the way they showcase so many Greek characters and creatures. Is it sometimes off? Yes. Is it still enjoyable to watch? YES!

Interesting battles and solutions.

Will show death and the occasional bloody injury. (Not overtly graphic though so don’t worry.)

The poor kids, similar to Lloyd, are prophecy bound to defeat the evil villain and thus have their lives turned upside to become heroes fighting monsters. Theresa eventually throws a somewhat justified hissy fit over this.

Enjoyable characters and team dynamics. So much sibling teasing between everyone and it’s so relatable to watch.

Also, they’re just teens being teens so they do stupid stuff sometimes and that just makes it all the more fun to watch.

A bonus, there’s two girls on the team rather than your stereotypical one main girl trope.

A big favorite of mine, Storm Hawks:

Oh look, another red head character with green eyes. And he’s the lead character voiced by Sam Vincent! XD Here me out though, this show is actually great. If you can get past the funky character designs and animation, it’s a genuinely fun show. It’s so imaginative and for me, it ticks all the right tropes. I would like to say that if you’re a Ninjago fan, you just might be able to like Storm Hawks. It’s a show that I rewatch again and again and still enjoy it. Fans of it will say it ended to soon with only two seasons and an open conclusion that leaves room for more adventures. I wish there was more. The flow was good and I felt it followed a decent overarching plot with quirky filler episodes thrown in to establish the characters more.

Now as far as main characters go, we have a good mix of interesting ones. Yes, they fall into stereotypical archetypes but for some reason, I really like them:

Aerrow voiced by Sam Vincent (Lloyd’s VA: the young, ambitious Sky Knight of the Storm Hawks. He’s your typical, altruistic hero/leader/chosen one. I love how you can really see how much he cares for his team. He’s got a big legacy to live up to and you know what, he’s absolutely demolishing everyone’s limited expectations of him. This boy survived multiple fights with the supposedly deadliest warrior in the world.

Piper voiced by Chiara Zanni: she’s the intelligent one of the bunch and typically possesses the one brain cell they all share. She’s the navigator, crystal expert, and the second in command. In short, she’s an adorable nerd and my favorite despite having some out of character moments. I also like the little something something she’s got going on with Aerrow. Yes, it’s cliché but it’s open enough that you can interpret it romantically or platonically. And honestly, the way Piper is written, you could almost say she’s bi. But holy cow, that finale with her and Aerrow was everything! Love it.

Junko voiced by Colin Murdock (Ed’s VA aka Jay’s dad): the stereotypical gentle giant type. He’s sweet and strong but constantly doubts his ability because he was bullied. He’s similar to Kord from Slugterra in that he’s got muscle but also serves as the airship’s mechanic. He has a couple of spotlight episodes that do his character justice.

Finn voiced by Matt Hill (Hyper-Sonic’s VA aka that random disco head racer from Prime Empire): on the outside, when paired with Junko, they typically serve as the meat headed comic relief. However, when it comes down to it, Finn is selfless and will make the right choice as episodes have shown. He can get annoying but I highly appreciate that he knows how to buckle down and get a job done and he truly is a great sharpshooter.

Stork voiced by Scott McNeil (VA for many villains in Ninjago): one of the fan favorites for his doom and gloom sort of attitude. He’s the pilot and gives off emo vibes to me. A very relatable character for most pessimists. He’s the oldest of the crew full of kids but he sticks it out through all their wild adventures even if he is completely terrified while trying to survive. Still, he’s got a beserk button so don’t you ever think of touch his precious ship, the Condor. He can and will take out a complete armada.

Radarr voiced by Asaph Fipke: he’s Aerrow’s co-pilot and animal companion of the show. He’s very scrappy and has good intuition. A valuable member of the Storm Hawks. He even gets a couple of his own episodes to shine in.

Now, I gotta mention the villains too since there is a quirky handful of them:

Cyclonis voiced by Lenore Zann: she’s the lead villain and ruler of her kingdom at just 14 years old. She’s very powerful and very intimidating when she wants to be since she’s got a bunch of wacky crystal powers like Piper. I find her interesting just because she’s a young girl who serves as the main big bad villain versus previous shows where it’s a broad-shouldered middle aged guy in a black suit. I wish they showed more on her backstory but a decent villain nonetheless. Comparable to Harumi in that she’s a female kid villain who is deep down broken and lonely and in desperate need of therapy and a friend.

Dark Ace voiced by Sam Vincent (Lloyd’s VA): is the second in command to Cyclonis and is extremely loyal to her. He’s constantly getting beat by Aerrow and can never manage to exterminate him much to his annoyance. It’s hilarious watching their fights because it’s just Sam Vincent alternating between tones. He’s got cool red eyes and I do believe he also has a bit of a following among the female fans.

Ravess voiced by Cathy Weseluck (Patty Keys VA aka that random sales lady): she’s an archer who has a penchant for the violin. I love her leitmotif whenever she comes onscreen. Ambitious but still scared to turn on her 14 year old boss. She does play a helpful role I towards the finale.

Snipe voiced by Colin Murdock (Ed’s VA): he’s the brother of Ravess and serves as the big dumb muscle guy. I don’t really care for him but his sibling interactions with Ravess are funny.

Raptors voiced by a bunch of familiar VAs: I just had to mention this reptilian group because they are reminiscent of the Serpentine from Ninjago.

Pros:

Great side characters and fun episodes.

Good action and adventure vibes

The whole show is free on YouTube.

Again, world building and lore is very imaginative. It deserved a larger budget and more seasons.

Has your typical chosen/prophesied one narrative that we’ve all come to either love or hate.

Crystal magic (kinda like how we’re now on the season Crystalized)

Adorable main cast who all get a chance in the spotlight, and even the annoying ones do have their high points like I mentioned.

Ninjago VA’s are everywhere in this show too. And with the limited voices they have, they really make the most of it but it’s hilarious to see VA’s essentially talking to themselves onscreen.

And once again, there’s top notch team dynamics in this show with good sibling-like interactions between characters. They squabble but still make up and really care for each other’s wellbeing.

Found family trope is in this and it’s great and I’m a sucker for it. It’s heavily implied the three human kid heroes are orphans so there’s that lovely dose of angst I always love.

Something about Aerrow being a leader just hits right. He’s a great one even if he is just 14 years old.

Good balance between high stakes and humor. The main characters are kids and heroes and it shows with all the shenanigans they manage to throw themselves into.

Great finale. Trust me. The show gets better as you continue to watch it and the episodes get less disjointed.

Friends to lovers or just really close friends trope between Aerrow and Piper. I cannot stop gushing about how natural their dynamic feels and how they play off each other’s energy beautifully. They communicate openly and really well with each other. And if romance isn’t your thing, their bond can totally be seen as platonic.

Cyclonis is a curious villain character that is different from your stereotypical guy cartoon villain. I like her and her powers.

Huge bonus that Ninjago has struggled with doing well, love triangles. Storm Hawks has no place for that. In fact, it subverts that trope entirely! Piper does not act all jealous whenever there is another girl character around and this is a huge breath of fresh air from the pettiness many shows contain. Aerrow occasionally acts wary and annoyed when Piper gushes over stuck up guys, but it’s proven justified and he isn’t overprotective or obnoxious about it. Just cautious and comforting when things do go south.

And lastly, this underrated masterpiece, The Deep:

Great news, this show is still ongoing and recently released their 4th season. It’s got a decent overarching narrative of searching for a lost underwater city Lemuria. There are many filler episodes, but trust me, they are fun. Not gonna lie, I’m a huge sucker for any ocean animated shows. This one is just so funny and relatable. It’s got great family dynamics with many familiar Ninjago voice actors. The adventures and creatures are all so cool! It ties myth, mystery, and science all into one great show. The sci-fi fantasy vibe is amazing. But basically, my liking of this show is hugely centered on not just the creativity of it but the strong family dynamics that glues the entire show together. Unlike most shows where parents are absent or there’s only one, this cartoon portrays a lovely married couple and their kids. Seriously, how often does the chosen one/protagonist of the show actually get a decent childhood with loving parents?!

With characters, we have a small main cast with a handful of recurring side characters. This means, you gotta love the main characters:

Antaeus Nekton aka Ant voiced by Vincent Tong (Kai’s VA): he’s the excitable main protagonist child and chosen one of the family. He’s extremely curious and gets into trouble often, but fortunately for him, he’s got an intelligent engineering mind that helps him get out of trouble… most times. Fortunately for him though, he’s got a great family backing him up. I find him to be a likable character as far as protagonists go and good representation of annoying younger siblings.

Fontaine Nekton voiced by Ashleigh Ball (Sally’s VA aka that pink-haired girl from Crystalized): she’s the older sister character. Sometimes she acts as the only voice of reason onboard the ship. I find her extremely relatable. It’s clear that although Ant annoys her, she still very much loves him and will do anything to protect him and that is so wholesome. She’s got a crush on Finn who’s a slick teen pirate voiced by Sam Vincent (Lloyd’s VA) and most of the fandom really loves the flirty dynamic they have. I gotta admit, they are pretty cute together.

William Nekton aka Will voiced by Michael Dobson (VA for many Ninjago side characters): he is the dad and the muscle of the crew. Still, like everyone else, he’s smart. He’s super reasonable and a really great example of a good father and husband. He has his funny moments and craziness too though.

Kaiko Nekton voiced by Kathleen Barr (Misako’s VA): this woman is my personal favorite and I could gush on and on about how totally awesome she is. Unlike Misako, Kaiko is the most awesome mother ever to her kids and is fiercely protective of them. She has a wide skill set from being a submarine pilot, mechanic, and marine biologist. In short, she’s amazing and I’m a huge simp for her.

Jeffrey: he’s the adorable animal sidekick. He’s an intelligent, expressive fish and has helped saved the Nekton family on multiple occasions. Very relatable because he is cookie-motivated. Smarter than your average wannabe pirate.

Nereus voiced by Lee Tockar (Borg’s VA): he’s your typical mystical old dude with a long white beard. Essentially he’s the Wu of this show. Funny but infuriatingly cryptic at times.

Pros:

This show was based off comics so you can go read those. (Kaiko gets an awesome moment in those that I really wish they would have kept in the tv show.)

Vaguely based off the Incredibles.

Non-absent parents who are top notch and actually parent their kids fairly.

Submarines and marine life are always a plus in my book.

Family dynamics are on point. Seriously, this is top notch stuff right here. Also, sibling dynamics are so sweet.

Representation of a good solid marriage. Bonus points because it’s interracial, making their kids mixed. All-round good representation.

Good musical score. (Not as good as Ninjago’s but still pretty good.)

The whole family is smart and super skilled but it shows that they still make mistakes and are flawed humans just like everyone else. Even the parents aren’t shown to be completely infallible and land in their own sticky situations plenty of times and I find that super neat and good of the writers to do.

Great mind-boggling adventures.

The villains are wacky yet endearing sometimes.

There’s villain that is reminiscent of Morro. He’s even got the same voice actor and goes through the same arc of being all jealous of the chosen one.

”Have faith in the fish.” Jeffrey is great animal companion. Who knew you could actually make a fish work as a good character.

Just huge bonus overall with this show because of the solid family representation we’ve got going on here.

But despite everything they find themselves facing down, the ten years without each other taught them one thing: they’re better together than they are apart.

Rest

Something was wrong. Sure the meeting was still loud, with multiple fights breaking out, and very tired Ludwig losing his patience and called lunch early, but one thing was missing. Alfred had remained silent the entire two hours, not interjecting once with some wild scheme to solve whatever world issue they were discussing. He wasn’t even busily talking to those beside him. So when lunch was called and Alfred got up to go to the bathroom, Arthur decided to follow him and get to the bottom of it all. 

When he entered the bathroom, he could hear Alfred heaving. Arthur cringed at the sound. Eventually, it ended, Alfred slinking to the floor with a groan.

With a sigh, Arthur knocked on the stall door. “You shouldn’t be here,” he chastised. 

Alfred went to protest, but his stomach had other ideas. 

“Let me in,” Arthur demanded.

“No…”

“Alfred, we need to get you back to your hotel or something so you can rest.”

Alfred let out a strangled noise at that idea. “I-I don’t want to move,” he whispered.

Arthur let out a weary sigh. He couldn’t be annoyed when Alfred sounded so scared. Even after all these years, the poor boy was still terrified of being sick. Using his fingernail, he unlocked the door, finding Alfred slumped against the wall, sweaty and even paler than he was back in the conference room. With another sigh, Arthur headed over to the sink, grabbed a paper towel, and wet it. He ran the cool paper towel over Alfred’s burning skin, trying to get the younger nation’s fever down and clean him up a bit. 

Alfred gave an approving hum, leaning into the coolness. 

When Arthur deemed Alfred cleaner, he proposed that they start their trek up to Alfred’s room. Alfred still wasn’t keen on the idea. 

“You can’t just stay on this grimy floor all day,” Arthur snapped, “Plus, a comfortable bed is just what you need right now.”

Alfred pouted, but he couldn’t deny that just collapsing into his bed and passing out sounded really good right now. “Okay,” he groaned.

With Arthur’s help and a plastic bag from the receptionist, Alfred safely got to his room without much issue. “You should get into something more comfortable,” Arthur suggested, sitting Alfred on the bed. 

Alfred made a displeased noise. He didn’t feel like moving or doing anything at the moment less he disrupted his stomach again.

  Arthur tsked. Alfred was acting like a child, but he’d let it slide–just this once. Being sick wasn’t fun, and Alfred specifically had always had some anxiety surrounding it. Arthur went over to the closet, and sure enough, there was Alfred’s suitcase. He pulled out some jogging pants and a t-shirt and tossed them over to Alfred. “Put these on,” Arthur ordered, “I’ll be right back.”

He headed into the bathroom, collecting a plastic cup and a washcloth. As he filled the cup with water and wet the cloth, he dialed Francis. 

“Angleterre, where are you?” Francis cried when they picked up.

“In Al’s hotel room. Look, he’s sick, and I need you to pick up a few things for me.”

As Francis made a snide remark, Arthur heard Alfred heave again. Acting quickly, he rushed into the room, providing Alfred with the plastic bag just in time. 

“Is everything alright,” Francis asked. 

“Just peachy,” Arthur gritted, disposing of the bag. “Listen, I need you to get some things for Alfred. A bowl or bucket and maybe even some Gatorade while you’re at it. He’ll need the electrolytes.”

“Okay. I’ll be there soon.”

In the meantime, Arthur gave Alfred another bag and instructed him to use it.

“Oh ma pauvre chérie,” Francis cooed. He felt Alfred’s forehead finding it warm. “My goodness, you’re burning up!"

“I’ll be fine Francis,” Alfred mumbled, cuddling further into his blankets. 

“Okay, so I brought the bowl and some Gatorade as asked, as well as some medicine to hopefully get that fever down.”

“You know medicine barely works on us,” Arthur criticized. 

“Well, every little bit helps,” Francis shot back. 

“Thank you,” Alfred said, “Both of you.”

Any potential argument was stopped right there. Francis let out a sigh. “I’ll head back then,” they said, “And I’ll let Ludwig know what’s going on. Are you going to stay too Arthur?”

“Yeah. Just to make sure he’s okay.”

Francis gave the Brit a knowing grin. “You always were a mother hen,” he chuckled as he left, “I’ll swing by later with some dinner for you and to check in with Alfred.”

Arthur scoffed at the French nation’s comment. He didn’t have time to dwell on it now though. He set up the bowl on the nightstand and encouraged Alfred to take a sip of the Gatorade. The young nation was surprisingly obedient, too tired to argue. 

“Just rest now,” Arthur said softly, grabbing the cloth he had wet a few minutes ago and placing it on Alfred’s forehead. 

With Alfred tended to and already on his way to sleep, Arthur headed over to the nearby chair with a book out of his bag. Just as he began reading, he heard the bed creak. 

“Thank you…” Alfred said softly. 

“Don’t mention it. We can’t have you collapse from exhaustion or getting sick all over the place.”

Alfred grimaced at that image. “Sorry,” Arthur added, forgetting how even the idea of vomiting made Alfred uncomfortable. “And you’re welcome. Now please rest.”

Alfred sighed and flipped back over. Arthur thought that was the end of it when he heard the bed creak again. And again. And again. Out of the corner of his eye, Arthur watched as Alfred tossed the comforter off before pulling it back over himself. He was restless, to say the least.

Unsure about what to do, Arthur just started humming. It was an old lullaby he had long forgotten the name of, but one he knew Dylan used to sing for him and that Arthur used to sing to Alfred when he was still under his care. Alfred must have recognized the tune as he seemed to settle slightly.

When Arthur finally looked over at him again, Alfred was fast asleep, cuddled up with a pillow. Arthur smiled softly, getting up and leaning down to adjust the cloth on Alfred’s head. He placed a light kiss on Alfred’s forehead. “Sleep well poppet," he whispered before returning to his book.

8. What happens if one of them gets sick?

Arthur, despite having the most bad habits (drinks a lot, has never fully given up smoking, has some idea of what a vegetable is but will only eat one if Francis disguises it), never gets sick.

If Francis gets sick, Alfred and Arthur basically have to sit on him or tie him to the bed to make him rest. Otherwise he will try to keep going about as normal.

If Alfred gets sick, he gets babied like nobody's business and he loves it.

11. Do [any of them] try to hide their emotions if upset? Can the other[s] still tell?

Arthur tries to hide his feelings, as is his way, but Francis can see right through him. Alfred is Francis' padawan >.> he's learning to see past Arthur's attempts to hide.

Francis doesn't bother trying to hide his emotions. He is very emotionally honest--he kind of has to be in order to counterbalance Arthur

Alfred, by nature of his position in the house, is not permitted to lie, but he does sometimes hide it if he's a little hurt by something Francis or Arthur have done, but he only does this if it's a minor issue, otherwise he is as emotionally honest as Francis and far more direct and poor Arthur because dear god now there's two of them!

19. How do they feel about PDA?

Francis is fine with it, but Alfred and Arthur are not. That said, both Francis and Arthur have no problem covertly molesting Alfred in public or even pulling him into some semi private place like a public restroom for a quickie... it's hard for them to keep their hands off of their pet >.>

26. What are their vices?

God, what aren't their vices? XD Alfred himself is Francis and Arthur's vice. As previously mentioned, Arthur drinks a fair bit and smokes occasionally. Alfred can get a little too into his video games. Francis likes spending Arthur's money >.> but it's okay because Arthur has plenty of it

38. Who is more sexually experimental? Who’s more vanilla?

They're all equally matched on this and, aside from the polyamory, they're actually pretty vanilla

51. What’s a non verbal way they say I love you?

Sex? XD Outside of that, Francis says it with cooking and kisses, Arthur often says it with gifts or, like a cat, just sitting in the same space as Alfred and/or Francis, quietly observing and appreciating them. Alfred says it with cuddles and blowjobs. LOL

I just realized I talk a lot less about my OCs than I thought I did, okay. XD

Luckily, my biggest current project has 5 mostly developed main characters, so I'll choose one for each, I suppose.

🍴 Go off about their eating habits.

For this one, I pick Phoebe. She bakes a lot, and has a big sweet tooth. She often makes like, an easy batch of cookies if she can, and likes to experiment with flavors and decoration and such. She does bake for the cafe she works at, but she definitely enjoys it, so she doesn't mind at all. Her favorite food is lemon cake with buttercream.

🕊 What colors and symbolism do you usually associate with the character?

Francis! Hello there, buddy! He's nice. His hair is a sort of shade of green, (he dyed it) and it was his favorite color for a while. I do see him as a green type of person, though because the original outfit I drew him with was a purple turtleneck, I also associate him with the color purple. As for symbolism, he reminds me of art in general, I think. Mostly the Mona Lisa, due to his original design.

🖋 Would you say they are a hero, a villain, or an anti-hero? Why?

Nelly, oh how I love you... Ah, so see... This is a superhero project, though the only real superhero is Oliver. She isn't a major major character, really, but let's see... She's good at heart, though she's a bit of a trickster. In general, she likes messing with people, usually because she conducts strange experiments on people. None are harmful, though. She gets bored. In fact, she hasn't spoken in public for almost a year and a half, at this point.

🤗 How many relationships are they in before their main ship? Or do they end up alone? How come?

Oliver, my silly protagonist... He doesn't really have an "endgame ship," since I'm a big ol' fandom homie. I thought, "Hey, if this becomes a real thing, I'd like to leave it open to interpretation." Much shipping potential, though. The two main characters he's always with are very much shippable in my eyes, even though as a superhero protagonist, he does have encounters with several female love interests. More in a meta, satirical matter, but still.

🌈 Are they LGBTQ+ In what ways? How do they feel about that?

SPENCER, MY BELOVEDD- Oh, the poor guy... He's very fruity. Like, soooooo fruity, God. Not really in general, it's more directed towards one guy, though he doesn't really think of it as such, and no one suspects otherwise. Not sure if he's into the ladies, since I had a VERY specific role in mind for him when I first created him. I feel bad for him, both because of this, and because of other reasons...
