Subway to Stardew - Passenger Events - Saloon Part 2

This plays after you see the first saloon event (submas having lunch with Elliott!) and visit on a Friday after reaching 3 hearts with Elesa.

Did you notice the sprites? No? Great! I finally stopped procrastinating and recolored their spritesheets so now they don't share the same brown outline and match vanilla style a bit more!

Sprite-wise... they're over 80. Emmet's in his 90's.

So many sprites.....

Also... Elesa's back! We have a basic outline for what would happen in Elesa's events, but we haven't written anything for her yet... She has plans though! She's rounding up all the artists for it. Meanwhile, submas are still struggling with passenger relations.

Elesa's storyline is going to be fun to plan out but one of her B plots is making sure Ingo and Emmet take their breaks!

Elesa's fun. She's a bit awkward herself (girl can NOT keep a secret for the life of her) but she's doing things. Nimbasa trio share a braincell and they pass it around throughout this event.

We wanted to show a little more insight into their life in the valley and how others feel about them. This time, you're catching them on a bad day. One of my favorite things about Stardew is how everyone is very much flawed in some way and everyone is an unreliable narrator. I love how it just presents life in a run-down town as is and it's up to you to interpret whatever glimpses you get.

Trying to merge the two different media's in terms of tone and seriousness is a bit complex. Pokémon - as a franchise - is at the end of a the day; kid friendly. Stardew Valley, while may look happy go lucky and cute touches upon some really heavy topics.

We are basically skirting the lines here and there with the themes and even trying to make it in character for the Pokémon characters as well.

Taking a kid friendly characters and just trying to touch upon tough subjects while also trying not to seem OOC or off - is tough. So creative liberties it is.

Not everyone gets along in Stardew. I tried to emphasize that in Sebastian's distaste for submas. He would hate being their neighbor. He's cranky because he can't sleep in until 10:00 AM anymore because they're already at work before it turns 6:00 in the morning. Extreme opposites with their problems.

Sebastian and Submas DO NOT get along... They may tolerate each other at the end of the story but they just do not mix well.

I also think that Sebastian would just project a lot of his personal problems onto them... He already does that with Maru. He's not the best taking out his frustrations in the right direction. Haven't finished Maru's passenger event yet (another battle event...) but submas would be decently close with her since she has an interest in Pokemon and Sebastian would take that as "siding" against him. They are also decently aquainted with Demetrius which isn't the best for Sebastian's dad issues. He's not fond of the invasive species they brought in but they do appreciate infodumping to each other about mechanics and such.

Oh, Demetrius... I'm going to have fun with world building info-dumps with him. Ya'll like world building? Well, talk to the villagers, they may have a glimpse into things.

I do headcanon Demetrius (pretty much painfully canon...), Maru, and Sebastian as autistic themselves just like the Nimbasa trio. Unfortunately, that does not necessarily mean that they'll always have solidarity. For one, Sebastian's sensitivity to loud noises puts him at odds with Ingo. Submas fare better with the more infodumpy types.

Sibling relations are a sore subject for all of them so submas are horrified at even the thought of splitting tracks and hating each other because they have codependency issues; Sebastian has an inferiority complex and hates how they make him feel like even more of a failure because he doesn't like Maru. Neither parties are exactly healthy, but you can pick between who you're going for! (I was curious as to what the deal was with Sebastian so he was the first bachelor I married... I think you can tell that I divorced him.)

Sebastian has his issues... He was also going to be my first bachelor but uhh, I went with Harvey. I still love Sebastian as a character tho, he is really complex especially family dynamic wise. I do feel bad for him....

He does. I do appreciate how messy his family dynamic is, but I'm a little biased against him since I appreciate Maru and Demetrius more (sorry). I really like how he doesn't handle his issues healthily (I mean... look at Emmet.) and it's interesting to compare him to the other characters.

Like Sam! Sam's a good kid (college age 20 something year old...) and actually really emotionally mature even if he's a bit childish at times. Abigail... isn't quite all there yet but she has a strong sense of what's right and wrong. She's less hesitant than Sam when it comes to things, but Sam serves a bit as damage control here. I headcanon Sam and Abigail to have ADHD so they kind of have an idea about submas being autistic and what that entails, but it's not at the forefront of their mind. It doesn't help that their autism manifests in verrrrry different ways and they don't really know them all that well in the first place. It's a bit awkward between them but they're okay with each other.

We had a bit of fun determining the heart point changes between each route. Personally, I think friendship decreases are hilarious. Also if you don't back up anyone in this situation then... 🤨

I don't see friendship decreases as characters getting angry at you per se. It can always just be them feeling awkward and wanting to distance themselves from you for a bit. For example, if you reject Ingo in his 8 heart event, you get knocked down two hearts just so you can get more friendly-but-not-too-friendly dialogue before it stagnates again at 8 hearts.

The "true ending" is Sam and Abigail's route since they're fairly neutral picks. You should stand up for them! Sebastian would agree that him lashing out was wrong, but he just doesn't want to talk to you about it. Why would he? You would just lecture him or something.

Bad ending is not siding with anybody like a coward. Sebastian's being a bit of a bully here (mainly to a grown man a whole head taller than him, but still, his friends got caught in the crossfire) and if you're wishy-washy then that's just odd of you as the town's farmer and supposed protagonist that goes out of their way to befriend everyone. Not a good look.

Sebastian's route is a bit of a jab at how his romance plays out. A few people have mentioned Emmet and Sebastian being friends with each other under the reasoning that they're lonely autists (but mostly just being favorites, which I get) buuuut... Not sure why you would go for Sebastian when submas is right there. Pick one or the other. They're enemies here. I can't quite see them getting along past that surface-level analysis. Smoking alone is a hard No. from Emmet since birds are super sensitive to airborne toxins (so much so, you can't even have non-stick pans around them!) and he's protective over his defeatist of an Archeops.

Ingo's route is more for fun than anything. If you really want Ingo, you do get the most points with him for mentioning him, but he's confused as to why you're trying to win him over now of all times. He's concerned about Emmet first and foremost!

Emmet has trust issues so even the slightest red flag puts a quite a bit of distance between you. He has low point increases because it's hard to win his trust. In this situation, a point increase mostly just means you didn't do anything wrong. If you side with him, that's what you're supposed to do since he's the side against Sebastian. He may be getting picked on, but he's a bit of an instigator himself. His own route aside, Ingo would be most pleased to see you speak up for his brother. Ingo's route is only has the highest point increases for him because it's well, his.

As for the bar fight... It was a bit difficult to figure out how to make it play out believably and interestingly despite it being three New Yorkers against some grocery store owner. Ingo is more focused on defense, de-escalation, and protecting his passengers (in this case, the college kids). He can take a hit and doesn't want to resort to making any attacks unless absolutely necessary, so he was blocking for the most part. Had Ingo not been the designated grocery shopper, Pierre and Emmet probably would have already killed each other. Emmet doesn't have the patience to deal with Pierre. He thinks Reshiram will smite him for upcharging them and will take it upon himself to deliver the justice of truth. Emmet's swinging at Pierre. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the best defense nor balance when he's kicking and punching. Pierre's too drunk to talk about it, but even sober he suspects that submas are working with Joja because as far as he knows, he saw Morris walk away from the Railroad when they first arrived.

Ah yes. Joja stuff. *Realigns stacks of papers* Lets touch upon Joja here for a moment and Pierre's view of things. When Submas first came around. Pierre was already suspicious of them - more confused if anything - why are two major city boys who also- mind you- come from a foreign region and bring along Pokémon. Take interest in a small town? With an abandon railroad? Right off the bat he does not have a great view; he is worried about his store, his income, and family and this is stemmed all due to Joja Mart.

Now Pierre spots Morris heading towards the railroad - of course Pierre does not know what the interactions between Submas and Morris are. In his mind it's Submas making a deal to work with them or is already with them! Pierre already hates Morris as it is.

That is why he is so passive aggressive to Ingo and Emmet. Just this time around - Pierre is drunk... and Abigail's friend is being "annoyed" by them.

Well... outright agressive in this event haha. I don't quite remember how the idea was finalized, but we decided that they would get into a barfight when doing another "showing passenger relations at the Saloon" event.

As for Joja itself. I most definitely headcannon them in this whole crossover universe as the typical "bad guy" Pokémon team. However they have already won/succeeded (Pokémon are no longer in The Ferngill Republic....) However things are now being shaken up and changing.

I could go on and on about Joja and how I view them... but I think that will be a separate post (if people want to know)

The fight was a pain to debug. For one, Pierre kept running off into the void like a coward. Ingo's lines about staying behind the yellow line were made in the debugging phase because I got fed up with him for doing that.

Worse yet. 1.6 broke the Pokemon animations so now I have to go back into every event and redo everything (RIP green bean X-Scissor). The old method I was using no longer worked; before, I was using the addObject command. Now they show up as error signs because the sprites that were previously on the sheet called from were removed as they are not valid objects.

I ended up having to figure out the temporarySprites command to replace the "using a Pokeball" animation. There are no instances of it being used in vanilla. Nobody seemed to figure it out either, so I had to make a mini-event just to test its usage and figure it out.

I eventually did. Thanks to the help of my emotional support Emmet.

Ah yes... 1.6 has broken some events. Small things. (events are still playable) But we will definitely be revisiting some events to improve or make better. Or to just fix.

I have so much backtracking to do 😭😭😭😭😭 Oh well... I thought events were safe to work on since barely anything about them changed in 1.6... I was wrong.

The ending had quite a bit of revising for concision and tone. It was much more lighthearted in Kade's drafts, but I figured that Emmet is low on steam and probably would have gone nonverbal after everything. Too much passenger interaction for the day. He just wants to depart back to his home station.

Yeah there was a lot of dialog and exposition cut. (Hmm no wonder why it's only 13 minutes long. lol)

Only 13 minutes... Still a lot considering that most vanilla events are around the 1-3 minute mark...

Poor Emmet.. and Ingo. I won't lie, when first seeing the event I burst out laughing during the fistfight. Just somthing about Ingo suddenly collapsing due to Pierre. BUT THEY'RE OKAY - ISH.

It's a bit comical! I had fun ragdolling them. Emmet was going to be much more swingy in his attacks but I ended up not keeping it in since it just didn't look right when used as an animation frame.

We at least kept one of the rag-doll sprite as a "knock back" from Pierre. Which transitions well with his passed out sprite.

Gengar - Should you feel yourself attacked by a sudden chill, it is evidence of an approaching Gengar. There is no escaping it. Give up.

Koffing - If Koffing becomes agitated, it raises the toxicity of its internal gases and jets them out from all over its body. This Pokémon may also overinflate its round body, then explode.

Salandit - It burns its bodily fluids to create a poisonous gas. When its enemies become disoriented from inhaling the gas, it attacks them. The males will do whatever the females tell them. They give the females most of their food. Due to malnutrition, the males can’t evolve.

Ariados - It attaches silk to its prey and sets it free. Later, it tracks the silk to the prey and its friends.

Parasect - Parasect is controlled by a mushroom that has grown larger than its host's body. The Pokémon scatters poisonous spores.

Pawniard - It follows Bisharp’s orders to a tee when it attacks enemies. After slashing an opponent, Pawniard clangs both of its blades together.

Details:

Due to the character’s coloration, the gas stored in its respiratory system, and its attempt to create a cult, I wanted a lot of Poison-Type Pokemon. Gengar, Koffing, Salandit, and Ariados were all thus selected to fit into this theme. Parasect has access to a 100% accurate sleep-inducing move and is puppeted by a parasite. Finally, Pawniard for an obedient Dark-Type.

It was still raining outside. The ambient glow of the television lit up the room as you, Sam and Seb, were huddled under a blanket. Your arms around Sam's torso and Sebastian curled around you. You felt safe and warm...and also very, very drunk.

"How long has it been...?" Sebastian looks up at you both, groggily rubbing his eyes.

Sam picks up his phone from the sofa arm next to him, checking the time. "It's 11pm, Seb. Crap! I need to get back. Mum's gonna freak."

You, in your drunken state, wrapped your arms tighter around the blonde, halting his escape. "I don't think so, Samson." You scold, jokingly. "Stay here and keep us warm." You nuzzle into his chest, smelling the musky cologne once again.

Sebastian groans. "Yeah, it's too damn dark now. And it's raining."

Sam sighs at you both, smiling as he does so. "I guess so then, but you can deal with mum's wrath in the morning."

"Yeah, Sebastian can. I'm too drunk." You laugh to yourself, hiccuping as you do so.

"We can tell." Both boys say simultaneously. They both laugh as they realise how in sync they are.

The theme of the Pokémon movie plays as the credits roll up the screen. You pull the blanket up to your chin and look up at Sam.

"Sammy..." You whine. "I still can't get warm..."

"Yeah, that's cause you live in an old farmhouse with crap insulation."

Sebastian, also tipsy after sharing a fridge full of beer and cider with Sam, snaps up. "Oi, you nitwit. My mum built this house!" He whines, punching Sam's arm.

Sam laughs heartily, smiling down at both you and Seb. "I know, I know. It's just a joke, Seb."

A faint, muffled snore can be heard as you fall asleep on Sam's chest. Sebastian slowly lifts up from your lap and begins stroking your soft hair.

"Isn't she beautiful, Sam..." Sebastian looks at you with pure adoration. It's clear to see how much you mean to him.

Sam sighs. "Mmm...yeah she is..." Sam warmly smiles at Seb and rubs his thumb on your cheek. "Should we take her to bed? I mean, it's late and I know she's still gonna get up at 6am no matter what..."

Sebastian nods, whispering. "Yeah, I think that's a good idea." He slowly stands up, being sure not to wake you from your deep, drunken, slumber. Placing an arm under your legs and one around your torso, he begins to carry you up to bed.

"Night, Seb. Sleep well." Sam smiles, looking slightly pained.

Seb stops in his tracks, looking back at his once best friend, now boyfriend. "What are you doing, Sam?" He mumbles sleepily. "Lets go to bed..."

Hesitantly, Sam arises from the sofa and begins following the both of you upstairs to your kingsize bed. "Its been a while since I've been in here." Sam chuckles.

"Yeah..." Sebastian laughs quietly, laying you down in the middle of the bed.

You begin stirring due to the sudden change of temperature and softness. "Cold..." You whine.

"Want us to warm you up, honey...?" Sebastian sits on the edge of the bed, pressing a gentle kiss to you forehead.

"Mmm..." You sleepily nod.

Sebastian strips down to his boxers, climbing into bed next to you. Sam removes his shirt, climbing in on the other side. Sebastian moves over, your back to his chest, as he begins to spoon you. Sam shifts closer, laying on his back. He moves your head onto his chest. You could feel both men's warmth begin to thaw out the icey coldness you had been feeling. You were content. At peace. You finally had Sebastian back home and had sorted out any conflict with your best friend. Everything was as it should be. You felt yourself fall back into a deep sleep as the alcohol and warmth of your best friend and husband enveloped you.

The next morning, you woke up to both men on either side of you, arms wrapped around you and hands touching each other. Sam's thumb rubbing at Sebastian's knuckles soothingly. You couldn't help but feel your heart beating faster. To be honest, you were so drunk and tired from the alcohol and rush of emotions that you had no idea Sam would be in bed with the both of you. Especially topless. You examined them both. Sebastian's raven hair pushed up and out of his face. His lips slightly parted as he deeply inhaled and exhaled. Sam now laying on his side, spooning you, his face nuzzled into the nape of your neck. His warm breath tickles you with every exhale. The warmth of both men is almost overwhelming. You couldn't help but feel emotions rush over you once more. However, this time, they were different.

Hey does anyone actually use Pokémon Sleep? I do. It's kinda a situation where I should've been using a sleep tracking app for a while but a cute Pokémon themed one gave me the motivation to go for it.

My sleep has actually improved a lil even though the app still assigns me as a Freak™ lmao. That's what I get for combined ADHD and insomnia.

I also finally get to hear whatever I mumble in my sleep. According to my friend @/savashroom, I do it often. I do dream very vividly and also deal with night terrors and sleep paralysis so they've been... Interesting to listen to.

The app also gets very confused (but still works) because I toss, turn, and flip like a burger in my sleep. Assigned Freak by Game Freak ♥️

Ok I got you my man, here’s some trainer themes I’ve connected w some of the buddies. This is something I love to do, and I had fun doing it on characters aside from my own for once! Really got the gears rolling. Also did this just bc I am experiencing extreme pokemon brainrot rn so anything slightly Pokémon related is making me go feral. Included my thought process bc I did not choose these at random for the most part!

Pinepaw- Vs. Rival (ORAS)

Energetic, lively, maybe a dash of possible troublemaker. I honestly don’t know what to write for this really, Pine was the hardest one for me aside from Daff to connect to a theme. Wally’s battle theme was a close second, bc it was slow but confident, but I don’t know if the guitars were fitting for him.

Cormorantpaw- Vs. Piers (SWSH)

An edgy theme that’s not too over the top but also screams powerful. I feel like this man needs guitars in his theme and this was the most fitting one. Misunderstood emo edgelord guy who probably needs to sleep, god please go to bed. Was gonna choose Gladion (SM) at first bc the emo kid running away (?) from home/parent kinda thing they both got going on, but I didn’t feel like it was fitting. I dunno.

Asphodelpaw- Vs. Penny (SV)

Starts out VERY hardcore and intense but has these very “heroic” or lighter sounding parts too. I know not too much is out about Asphodel yet, but she definitely seems like the type so far to come off as really intense and snarky, just to have a hidden, more caring/sensitive interior, I think this theme reflects that nicely. Also both her and Penny have a thing for cute Pokémon. It’s funny.

Daffodilpaw- Lillie Encounter Theme 2 (SM)

It was hard to place a theme for her, I wanted something confident, but not insanely powerful since she’s not a great battler. Lillies second theme definitely has that sense of confidence as in game it’s after she changes her outfit it’s to break away from the way her mom has tried to make her be for all of her life, down to how she dresses. It’s light, but confident. At first I was gonna use Hop’s theme from SWSH bc he canonically is god awful at battling but I didn’t think it fit her.

Slugpelt- Vs. Zinnia (ORAS)

She gets my favorite theme of all time. Zinnias theme is honestly kind of like, sad and almost mournful, but also very intense. Also kinda mysterious. Zinnia in game is feeling grief over a lost loved one, if my memory serves me right. Obviously that connects somewhat to Slugpelt and the disappearance/loss of her mother and brother, and overall Slugpelt just seems like a very sad but also intense when needed be individual.

Rainhaze- Vs. N Final Battle (BW)

I honestly am not sure about this one, part of me just chose it bc of the whole Rainhaze having a Zorua thing, and N has a Zorua/Zoroark. Also chose it bc of the whole mysterious vibe of the theme, as well as the ticking of the clock heard at various points in the track. Kinda makes me think like, either time is running out for him to be found, or a lot of time had passed since he has disappeared (and possibly has changed him.)

Deepdark- Vs. Team Magma/Aqua leader (ORAS)

You CANNOT tell me this wouldn’t fit him. I didn’t want a theme that sounded almost like,, godly for him (like Ghetsis, which I considered for a minute), but still something that screamed I AM THE BOSS, YOU’RE DOOMED. And you know what screams that? The godforsaken amount of trumpets in this theme. But no fr jokes aside this theme is super powerful and hardcore and it deserves to be assigned to him.

I already dmed you the brendan one lol but I also sketched a Maxie (magma leader) inspired deepdark bc of the theme, I was gonna do it for all of em but I decided against it bc like. Too much work. But I have to show this bc the image of deepdark in a turtleneck is extremely funny to me. Also sorry I don’t draw deer a lot lol.

We need more SMT+!Yuu

I need more SMT+!Yuu. There’s two things that come to mind. A Yuu that works by P5 rules and can go into the collective unconsciousness to change peoples distortions or a Yuu which has a merry band of demons following them around and that listens to them like servants while also having distinct personalities and unfathomable abilities. Yuu’s like a Pokémon trainer except with gods…

Now image P5 Yuu in the twst universe. They go in there pretty normal and are still considered magic-less but the students talk about them having glow eyes. Turns out their just using whatever ability they have that highlights things and lets them see confidant/social link ranks. But the kicker would be in a overblot fight where they go into whatever NRC’s collective unconsciousness is and beat the shit out of the dorm heads shadows while their friends fight them on the outside. It would make the whole tragic backstory dump feel less shoe horned in.

Now what about Yuu who has a bunch of demon servants/summons. They have either a device that stores them or their all inside of Yuu’s brain talking to them and being released whenever. Ramshackle would be so much more lively

I wanna give Yuu some “default demons” that I feel fit the vibe.

Jack and Black Frost. Mainly because Jack Frost is Atlus’s mascot and black frost seems like the overblotted version of him and is equally iconic.

Alice! Another Iconic smt demon who fits into the twst world perfectly! Image NRC’s reaction to her, “Die for Me :)” perfect.

Idun. I don’t know she would fit very well into chapter 5. A apple themed idol goddess who heals, just a perfect counter to Vil’s OB and hey maybe they even get in on the VDC action and teach Yuu how to dance!

Mephisto. He fits very well into the twst world as well and gives me slight Crowley vibes.

Yoshitsune. All these high level demons for Yuu! Yoshitsune is a must have if Yuu’s gonna “I’ve done the hero’s journey before motherfucker.” Their way through this!

Continuing on that train, Trumpeter, Metatron, and Titania. Titania actually has a theme for twst though. Diasomnia in particular. Since Titanias the Queen of fairies and has that whole sleep theme to her.

They probably have more stored somewhere (idk man..) but those seems like the most important.

Notes: Finishing up the week with some smut! Lavandula stoechas or Spanish Lavender is an aphrodisiac plant, so...

“What kind of flower is this? It’s so beautiful.”

The gasp seemed justified. The flower has yet to bloom, still bundled together holding the secrets of its form, but Juliana, in her trips up and down Paldea, has never seen pedals so deep in colour or such thick black horns going all the way down the stem.

The girl leans in closer to inspect the vibrant violet petals. Even as only a button, it still looked amazingly beautiful, and she wonders if she can have one of her Pokémon to make it open faster. Even as their journey after the Hierba Mistica came to a close, there is still plenty of wonderous plant life in the country yet to be discovered, after all.

She would not want another disaster on her hands.

However, as time went on and she spent basically all of her free time around him, her guilty concern became a sort of desire. Desire to be close to him, to feel the warmth of him and have him tell her of the things running around in his mind. She is interested in his research and his observations, but also, she just really loved the sound of his voice and how lovely it sounded in her ears.

While she is not sure how Arven felt for her in return, and the fact he does not make her life any easier, his welcoming to her and her words were enough to tell her that he did at least enjoy her company.

Well by the way, they're eventually asking the star children to help them with finding a mysterious quest which is guarded by Dr. Waterfield Jr., Satan and Lord Aytien, so miraculously, at that bright moment, they're met at the Planet Madson base by the Bogo Matassalai, who obtains them some superpowers, so that they can become hero-brave, famous and fabulous, but however, from the star children, January and co. learns that they are in danger from Dr. Waterfield Jr., Satan and Lord Aytien, who now rules the nearby 'Satan's Kingdom', after corruption by a weevil, by whom they have a dude named Kyoobur9000. Besides, at that case, January and co. are eventually getting it going, cause they're eventually setting off to break the pre-historic spell and save the entire universe, so without further ado, January and co., reflecting the most famous superhero namesake, draw a sacred sword from its recess and uses it to protect the citizens of Planet Madson from those evil forces' soldiers; whereupon Captain Longstocking (also known as Mr. Longstocking) sends January and co. to Satan's Kingdom, but however, en route, they're attacked on two occasions by those evil forces' soldiers, and upon arrival at Satan's Kingdom, Sessy kisses January, making him as her friendly playmate and potential successor, and confronts Dr. Waterfield Jr., Satan and Lord Aytien alone, but when Dr. Waterfield Jr. learns that she has already kissed January and thus can no longer give him her powers and cure his corruption, he imprisons January and co., who discover the dystopian form of Olsson. So now, thereafter, January and co. are seriously managing to escape with Olsson, so they gotta make it just in time, cause we're right now having it enough with the chit-chat, so we gotta get busy right now.

January and co. are eventually traversing a lot of different levels to reach Lord Aytien's dark planet, which has too much strange dystopia of grotesque darkness. Well by the way, after defeating those suspicious infernal imps at the green base, the magic power sources stitches the green base to the red base, and after defeating those suspicious scary-bugs, January and co. and the star children finds the magic power sources that stitches the red base and the blue base together, but meanwhile, back in Planet Madson, a group of hunters are working for Conrad Cupmann (who had respectively been the main antagonist of "Amazon Jack" and "Amazon Jack 2: The Movie Star") inside the military station, and however, Conrad Cupmann notices that one of Planet Madson's citizens and Planet JCtn's citizens, being made out of dystopia, looks a little strange, but he ignores this, so however, with the unexpectly sudden, the wicked devil witch and the wicked devil sorcerer, hiding behind some boxes, continues to develop more dystopian enemies with their magic, and however, the wicked devil witch and the devil sorcerer cackles, saying that Planet Madson will be their soon enough, although they confesses that they're not sure what to do with it, so they gotta continue their conquest, and however, in the process, as regardless, they're suddenly capturing Conrad Cupmann and Captain Longstocking, by turning them into mind-controlled opponents for January and co. and the star children, and with another unexpected surprise, the wicked devil witch and the wicked devil sorcerer ambushes Captain Longstocking, by placing them under their control, and begins to take over Planet Madson in January and co.'s absence, but miraculously, January and co., with the help of the star children, are forced to fight the possessed Conrad Cupmann and the possessed Captain Longstocking after they ambush them in another planet called Planet JCtn, and then, thus with that, January and co. are luckily rescuing Conrad Cupmann and Captain Longstocking, by returning them back to normal. Later, after defeating those suspicious scary-bug alliances, January and co. finds the magic power sources that stitches the blue base to the yellow base, and after they defeat those annoying tic controllosa creatures, the magic power sources stitches the yellow base to the purple base, but however, back at Planet Madson, the wicked devil witch, the wicked devil sorcerer, and their tic controllosa impostors captures a lot of real citizens of Planet Madson and Planet JCtn and corner Conrad Cupmann, and however, before he can defend himself, they attack and tie him up, as the wicked devil witch and the wicked devil sorcerer comes out and uses their devil spear to suck Conrad Cupmann away into dystopia, by transforming him into dystopia. Well eventually, while he wanders the purple base, he sees January and co. and starts to run over, but a puppeteer's device comes in from out of nowhere and knocks him unconscious, then takes control of this body, and then, afterwards, he therefore gets defeated, as he miraculously removes the dystopia, by returning back to his normal self again, thus being rescued by January and co., and then, when January and co. had rescued Conrad Cupmann, he returns back to normal and the magic power sources from the puppeteer's device is relinquished, as it stitches the purple base to the violet base. But however, once again, back at Planet Madson, while roaming the skies on the JCtn battleship, Captain Longstocking notices some changes in Planet Madson's landscape, and however, the wicked devil witch and the wicked devil sorcerer are suddenly crashing onto the deck and they suck him into dystopia, but eitherway, as hero-bravely, when January and co. and the star children finds him guarding the violet base's magic yarn, his eyes flash between yellow and purple, as he is under the wicked devil witch and the wicked devil sorcerer's possession, so now luckily, as January and co. defeats him, he is freed, as he constantly returns back to normal, and he promptly disappears...

Emmet hates being apart. He always tries to sit on your shoulder, no matter what it is your doing. Despite his clinginess, Emmet is actually very independent. He likes to be a provider, in what ways he can. He wants to cook for you, to do work and get money, though his size makes it difficult. He wants to follow you to work and do tasks to earn pay, and then spend that money to take care of you and himself and the Pokémon. Or he'll find a job elsewhere, and work hard to provide for you both

Guzma:

A little shit. He's fond of pranks and tricks and scaring you. He'll hide and jump out at you. Teach your Pokémon creepy tricks to scare you. He'll bring bug Pokémon into the house because he thinks they'll make you squeal (they don't, which he pouts and sulks over for a while before growing a little warm at the fact his favorite type doesn't scare you). He doesn't mean anything harmful, he's just a little shit, and means everything in good fun. Prank him back, and he'll shout at you between barely suppressed cackles

Guzma likes resting on your chest, plush or otherwise. He'll lay over your heart and take a nap, snoring away. Rub his stomach or his head and watch him smile all sweet in his sleep. He'll get embarrassed if you bring it up while he's awake, though, and deny everything you claim. While you sleep, however, Guzma is surprisingly soft. He lies near your face, listening to you breathe as he watches your eyelashes flutter. He touches your cheek, kisses your nose, and lies as close as he can, grateful to be here with you

Rides your Pokémon around. Doesn't matter if you're home or out in public, he's a modern day cowboy wreaking havoc wherever he goes. He prefers riding Ariados, because she can climb walls and such, but he'll also ride Masquerain because she can fly. Don't let him get away though he will disappear into the clouds never to be seen again (until night falls and he gets nervous over the Zubats and Murkrows

R!Jaehyun - Nightmares

Jaehyun didn't like mornings very much. Yes, the sunshine was nice and the birds sang pretty songs, but that didn't mean he wanted to sacrifice his precious sleep. Especially after a rough nights sleep, filled with nightmares. He had plummeted into his headspace after the second bad dream and crawled into Yuta's bed to camp with him for the rest of the night. Now it was morning, and like a little angel Jaehyun was bundled underneath his friends blankets, eyes closed and slightly puffy from crying.

The sun had risen many hours ago, giving Yuta's room a refreshing glow, but Jaehyun continued to sleep away. He was just a worn out little guy. Yuta watched affectionately from the doorway before stepping in to wake him up. Jaehyun needed to eat and Johnny was going to show up soon to spend the rest of the day with him. There's no way he would willingly miss out on that opportunity.

Yuta sat beside Jaehyun on the edge of the mattress. There was something so precious about the way he slept that made all of the boys melt. His bed head was a main part of it, along with the fact he always had his baby blanket with him. Even if he wasn't regressed, the worn quilted square would be tucked snugly against his head. He tried to hide it when they all first shared a living space, but it was a lost cause with so many people. That and they were often in pairs to share rooms at hotels. None of the boys judged him for it, though. They understood his strong emotional attachment to the blanket.

"Jaehyun-ah..." Yuta dragged out, pulling the blanket part way off the other boy.

"Hmp-" Jaehyun grunted. He was on the thin line between sleep and consciousness.

"It's time to get up, baby. Your Johnny hyung is coming to see you, soon"

"My Johnny?" He grumbled, rubbing his eyes and forcing himself to sit up.

"Yup." Yuta nodded. He let Jaehyun get his bearings now that he was awake, and lifted him out of his bed.

"Dreamed about scary things." Jaehyun said anxiously. The frightening images flashed through his memory, as he was lead out to the kitchen.

"I know, sweetheart. None of them were real, though, and you were so brave for coming to my room for help." Yuta said gently. He was about to round the corner, but felt Jaehyun stop in his tracks.

"Don' like em..." The upset little whimpered. His eyes glistened with tears, as he broke off into small cries. He looked so vulnerable, holding his blankie to his face to hide himself.

Yuta was caught off guard, to say the least. Jaehyun hardly ever cried over minor things like that. Before he could comfort him, Mark popped right out of his bedroom and into the scene.

"What's the matter?" He asked worriedly, putting his hand on Jaehyun's back.

"Nightmares. I found him in my bed at like 3 am." Yuta stated.

"Again? Aw, I'm sorry buddy. It's okay." Mark said caringly, enveloping Jaehyun in a hug.

"I wan' a-appa!" Jaehyun cried.

Yuta and Mark looked at one another over Jaehyun's shoulder with concern. It was rare for him to use nicknames like that and if he did then it meant he felt very little and vulnerable. Mark could count on one hand the few instances he had heard his friend use a caregiver nickname. One that jumped out at him was when they were on tour, finishing up in america.

Jaehyun was holding himself together with a thread and snapped in a hotel hallway, bursting into tears when Haechan claimed Johnny as his roommate. He had slumped against the wall, sliding to the ground and sobbing for 'appa'. The memory honestly made Mark shudder a little. It was a nerve wracking scene to witness.

"We've got you, little guy. Let's go get cozy on the couch and you can have the cereal you like." Mark soothed, squishing his cheek on Jaehyun's head.

Yuta waited for them to start making their way to the living room and ducked away to the kitchen to grab breakfast for Jaehyun. He heard the familiar tune of the pokémon theme song playing in the other room and smiled to himself. Jaehyun loved watching that show with Johnny and Mark to watch them sing the opening.

After getting a dry bowl of the slightly sugary cereal Jaehyun liked, Yuta made his way to the couch and sat next to the little. He gave the bowl to Jaehyun and watched him balance it meticulously on his his knees that were pulled up to his chest. Thank god for plastic or they'd have no dishes left with the rate he dropped them. Jaehyun was still teary, as he picked at the cereal shapes, but he had settled down comfortably against Mark.

After an episode and a half of pokémon, Mark alerted Yuta that Johnny was on his way up. Jaehyun perked up at the words and started craning his neck to try and see if he was at the door yet. It may have lead to some cereal toppling out of the bowl and onto the floor, but he didn't care.

When he saw the door knob jostle he sprung up from the couch and scampered to the door. It opened to reveal Johnny, who Jaehyun ran straight into and wrapped his arms around. Johnny dropped the bag he had in his hand and lifted Jaehyun up into a big hug.

"Hey, you cute little monster. How's it going?" He asked, placing him back on the floor. Jaehyun kept his arms around Johnny and hid his face in his chest.

"He had a rough night." Yuta peeped, appearing around the corner. Johnny gave him a quizzical stare and then looked down at Jaehyun.

"You didn't sleep well? Nightmares?" He asked. Jaehyun nodded against his body.

"He came to my room all worked up after the first one and then had a couple more. It's probably just from stress." Yuta continued. "I let him sleep in."

"Ah, I see." Johnny said, turning Jaehyun around and leading him to the living room.

He encouraged him to sit on the couch again and plopped down next to him. Jaehyun climbed onto Johnny's lap and wrapped himself around him in a big bear hug, rubbing his cheek on his shoulder. Johnny simply held him and conversed quietly with Mark. The weight of Jaehyun sitting on him was rather familiar and always brought out the parental side of himself.

"Were you watching pokémon?" Johnny asked, running his hand up and down Jaehyun's back.

"Yeah...I wanna get a piplup plushie." Jaehyun mumbled, thinking about the cute character and how nice it would be to have his own.

"Don't you have one?"

"No~ I have Oshawott! Pip-Piplup is a penguin an' Oshawott is like a otter." Jaehyun explained, stumbling over his words a little bit.

"Ohh, you see, there's just so many that look similar, I can't keep track of them all." Johnny smiled when Jaehyun lifted his head up to look at him.

"I'll teach you! Look, that one's Togepi and Misty is holding him. He's cute like a egg." He beamed, pointing to the paused tv screen. He glanced back at Johnny to make sure he was paying attention.

"He kinda looks like Renjun." The taller chuckled. Jaehyun shook his head while smiling and brought his quilted baby blanket up to his nose.

He snuggled up closer to Johnny and sighed cutely, requesting to resume his show. It blinked to life when Yuta grabbed the abandoned tv remote. He joined the others on the couch and pet Jaehyun's hair. Moments like these made them really feel like a family. One big huge platonic family that took care of the little ones together. Someone was always around the corner, ready to give advice, hugs, reassurance, or whatever was in need to someone else. Their uniquely special bond was something Johnny would fight a war to keep.

Some soft 1a headcannons

Here’s my first time trying this so please be nice !

Aoyama Yuuga:

• loves fancy snack foods whic include cheese, crackers, dried fruits, and posh chocolates.

•he’s a huge snob when it comes to hair care products, and when he found that Midoriya was using one of those three in one shampoos, he actually tried staging an intervention

•ever since he improved his naval laser, as a prank, he would carve random movie quotes on the walls and trees in UA. He hasn’t been caught yet

Ashido Mina

•has a huge lipstick collection of every color under the rainbow. One of her life goals is to get every boy in class 1a to wear her lipstick at least once. Only Bakugo remains. Tokoyami was spared due to his lack of lips

•breakdancing and hip hop are her favorite dance forms, but she also knows how to walts and ballroom dance. Aoyama makes a great practice partner

•she has to wear an acid resistant face maskwhen she has colds, and has tissues made strong enough to withstand most acids

Tsuyu Asui:

•she has at least 50+ pictures of her siblings on her phone and will call them every other evening.

•she loved fish and has a huge aquarium at home. They would help her go to sleep, but she couldn’t take it into the dorms. When the other girls of 1a found out they found her a fish themed lava lamp to put by her bedside.

•Asui is the best at braiding and styling hair. She really enjoys it and plans to keep her hair long her whole life.

Iida Tenya:

•due to orange juice powering his engines, he has a mini fridge in his room filled with nothing but orange juice. He prefers no pulp, the pulp can clog his engines over time

• on his birthday, an anonymous class member (kirishima) got him the ugliest pair of running shoes (I’m talking tye dye and cat faces). Not wanting to hurt kiri’s feelings, he started wearing them regularly and the shoes actually grew on him.

•after kirishimas present, iida bought starry night vans with matching glasses. He thinks it’s the coolest thing ever

Uraraka Ochako:

•because she didn’t have very good control over her quirk as a kid, her parents would make her wear gloves. They also taught her how to sew, write, and type with half her fingers on both hands. She’s ambidextrous.

•uraraka laughs very easily and will spit out whatever she’s drinking or chewing. Sero and kaminari constantly try to make her laugh when she’s drinking anything.

•she helps Aizawa budget for groceries every week. She’s a master at couponing

Ojiro Mashirao:

•before he got into martial arts, his mom would take him to Zumba classes with her. He’s really good at dancing because of this, but is too shy to show it off.

•he’s a creature of habit and has had the same breakfast for about 5 years now: scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese on top and a banana on the side. If he has anything different he feels off for the whole day

•ojiro has a great memory when it comes to dates. He know everyone’s birthdays and is usually to one to start organizing the parties

Kaminari Denki:

•he loves video games, especially fighting games, and is super competitive. His super smash bro’s main is princess peach and the only one to beat him so far is ojiro

•he’s also a compulsive snacker. When he got into the hero course, he switched his usual cheese puff for pomegranate seeds in a moment of health consciousness

•he’s color blind but doesn’t realize it

Kirishima Eijirou:

•hes great at barbecue. His family are big on outdoor vacations, so he learned young. His favorites are steak and mushroom skewers.

•kirishimas love language is definitely gift giving. He spends days finding his friends the perfect gift, and it’s always something real unusual or personalized. He has a secret Pinterest folder for each friend so he can keep track of thier favorite things

• he also picks people up and swings them around when he’s really excited. Shouji hates this. Satou loves it

Kouda Kouji

•he loved pastel colors, mint green is his favorite. All his school supplies are pastel, and he even has a cute mint green jar with bunnies on it to keep his pencils in

•when the dorms are quiet, kouda lets his bunny roam around. Everyone is super gentle with it, and it is considered the class mascot.

•he’s the best listener in class 1A. He knows everyone’s secrets, crushes, and insecurities. If the teachers are worrying about any of the students, they go to kouda first

Satou Rikidou

•he stress bakes when he can’t sleep. Anytime he makes extra, he’ll take it to the teachers and other classes. He’s very popular because of this

•satou is a very tactile person and loves to be touched and cuddled. His favorite time is movie night because he gets to be squished between a bunch of friends on the couch

•the only baking he spent like is lemon stuff. He cannot stand lemon bars and lemon pound cake. He loves lemonade though

Shouji mezou

•he has a very sensitive head and hates it when people touch him there. Because of this, he never puts his hair back

•shouji has the best sense of smell and taste. If you give him a smoothie, he’ll be able to tell you all the ingredients.

•besides Midoriya, shouji can lift the most out of anyone in class. His goal is to be able to bench press everyone in class before he becomes a pro

Jirou Kyouka

•her favorite kinds of music are rock, 80’s, and jazz. She can tolerate folk but hates country with a passion

•she’s also really good at poker. Only Midoriya realized it was because she could hear thier heart beats. He promised not to tell as long as she answered some of his questions about her quirk

•she also has the best eyelashes out of all the girls. She blew away any competition after momo shared her favorite mascara brand

Sero Hanta

•he loves board games. Not because he’s good at them, he just loves the drama. Nothing is more entertaining then watching the meltdowns during monopoly

•sero also has a huge collection of Pokémon cards. A lot of them were passed down from older siblings and cousins. He always buys a new pack each month

•sero always keeps a pocket knife to help cut his tape. He can do some pretty cool party tricks with it. That’s how he became friends with Bakugo

Tokoyami Fumikage

•he likes horror movies and was actually in theatre before he entered UA. He was part of stage crew and would use dark shadow to help with special effects

•he also would help make the props. He’s very good at crafts and even saves all his molted feathers for future projects. He made a dream catcher for all of his classmates

•he always wanted a pet, but if he did get one, it would never be a bird. That would be super uncomfortable and dark shadow would get jealous

Todoroki Shouto

•he’s a heathan who will put ketchup on most nice foods. This is one of the main reasons why Bakugo fights with him

•Todoroki is also a huge gossip. Every now and then, he gets together with Hagakure and Aoyama and they’ll exchange information. He’s tried getting secrets from kouda but kouda is way too loyal

•his favorite past time is people watching. He’ll usually find a nice spot at the park, and settle down with a book and lunch

Hagakure Tooru

•she loves small and cute animals, and is koudas bunny’s biggest fan. She took enough pictures of the bunny to make a calendar

•she’s a good photographer, and she’ll do family sessions and senior pictures when she needs money. Her room is filled with her own work

•she’s easily the chattiest person in 1A. When she’s stressed she’ll go to kouda and just ramble about anything until she calms down

Bakugou Katsuki

•Bakugo is a huge perfectionist in most areas including his diet. This will leak onto the people he cares about, and he’ll end up violently mother henning them around meal times. His cooking is pretty good though

•because of the nitroglycerin he’s constantly sweating, he needs to soak his clothes in a solution before he washes them. He also has to clean his room pretty often

•kaminari got the whole bakusquad animal crossing games, and now he’s hooked. It’s his favorite down time activity. He especially likes hitting the ugly villagers with his net

Midoriya Izuku

•Midoriya cries a lot and has really bad hay fever. It makes his eyes really red and watery witch makes crying a lot easier. Spring is a bad time for him

•he also has an office supply addiction. He’s constantly buying new notebooks and has dozens of unused ones piled up somewhere

•he uses his notebooks for way more than just quirk analysis. He has books for recipes, class notes, phone contacts and addresses, funny stories, life hacks, and one purely dedicated to all mights favorite foods

Mineta Minoru

•it’s funny how short he is, because his mom is actually really tall. He thinks he might have dwarfism but in the world of quirks it doesn’t really matter

•he has a bookcase in his room filled with manga. Everyone assumes it’s hentai but it’s actually every issue of dragon ball Z. Only kaminari knows

•mineta has the best math score in the class. He can calculate when and where things will fall. That’s how his traps were successful enough to get him into the hero course

Yaoyorozu Momo

•she absolutely loves hair ties, and is always ordering new ones. Her scrunchie collection is insane

•she also has the biggest appetite of the class. No one has been able to beat her in an eating contest. Kirishima really wants to test her against fatgum. Momo knows that it will only end in pain

•momo also has the best handwriting in class. When she tutors, if she can’t read what her classmates wrote, she makes them rewrite it. She also taught everyone how to write in cursive

Listen I always plan on doing them I just get distracted but right now I’m procrastinating on my final projects and also this gives me a chance to scream about my current hyperfixations so here we go tagged by @supergeekytoon lov u also I’ve included links in case you wanna listen but don’t wanna exert effort (aka me)

1. Pokémon Sword and Shield - vs Gym Leader

I’d love to tell you who composed this but unfortunately Bulbapedia is still lacking in specifics outside of “The game's music was primarily composed by Gō Ichinose and Minako Adachi. Additional music was composed by Keita Okamoto and Toby Fox, the latter of which only composed one track.” I don’t know how trustworthy the credits in the description of this video are either. ANYWAY this gym leader theme is a fucking BOP and I live for the cheering crowd it just makes it feel so real!

2. Pokémon Sword and Shield - vs Hop

I haven’t gushed about Hop on this blog yet but trust me I’m getting ready to. He’s now the second rival I’ve adopted and ugh I just love him. He doesn’t deserve all the shit this game is putting him through and he CERTAINLY doesn’t deserve all y’all’s hate just because he’s the Tutorial Boy like have you looked at his smile just leave him alone already! Also his themes have them Latinx vibes and it’s to die for. And yes, I did say themes, which leads us to...

3. Pokémon Sword and Shield - vs Hop (v2)

HAVE YOU NOTICED A PATTERN YET listen I just really love Hop ok. In unrelated new I’m gonna kill Bede with my own two hands and I hope Opal makes him cry himself to sleep every night because that little fucker deserves it. This theme has them dance vibes, but I’m not well versed enough in dance to tell if it’s salsa or tango or flamenco or what. Also it makes me wish I’d done Latin dance one semester instead of swing. It also has the return of the cheering crowd! I know they’re saying “woah” but it’s fun to pretend they’re saying “Hop”.

4. Pokémon Masters - Battle! Barry

Again, I tragically can’t seem to figure out composer information, but Bulbapedia gives music credits to Haruki Yamada and Shota Kageyama. Anyway Barry was my first rival son, and this is the first official remake of his theme from D/P/Pt we’ve ever gotten, and LORD does it do him credit. It’s unbearably hype and full of so much energy, and it’s still recognizable as his theme even though it also adds loads of new motifs, and it just works so well. 10/10 would get fined and then bubble beamed into another dimension again.

5. Together — あきよしふみえ (Fumie Akiyoshi)

What, you thought I was done with Pokémon? SURPRISE, I’M NOT! This is the first opening for the original Japanese version of the Diamond and Pearl anime, which I’ve been watching religiously because my aforementioned son Barry appears in it. Tragically he doesn’t show up until the 101st episode, which is why I’ve been trying to tear my way through the first part of the series. (If you’ve seen my Discord status, it’s literally just a countdown to Barry’s debut. I’ve still got a long way to go.) As a result of this I’ve now got this theme ingrained into my brain matter. At least it’s v good and you bet I catch feels over “Fog Clear the sad feelings” every time.

6.  ルマ (Ruma) — かいりきベア (Kairiki Bear)

Away from the Pokémon now, we have the NEWEST track from my favorite Vocaloid producer, Kairiki Bear! He’s normally not great at tuning Miku, but this one is actually really good. Definitely his finest Miku work yet. It’s also got that crazy guitar Kairiki is known for, and the subtle animations in the video are as good as ever. It’s also got super catchy repetition and just. Well. Every Kairiki song is a gift and as usual I’m hooked on this one even though I can’t explain it really well. ROAR!

7. ゴキブリの味 (The Taste of Cockroach) — MARETU

THE TRIUMPHANT RETURN OF MARETU TO VOCALOID AFTER OVER A YEAR OF NOTHING BUT ONE OUT OF THE BLUE INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM! Basically MARETU ended up in a bit of a scandal where he was caught cheating on his girlfriend with a minor with an undisclosed mental disability. (It’s important to note that the minor was over the age of consent, but below 20, thus still considered a minor in Japan...at least as far as I have been led to believe.) He did the whole public apology thing and then disappeared. Now it seems like he’s back! While I definitely have mixed feelings on him as a person now, I can’t deny that he’s a hecking great producer and one of the absolute masters of Miku tuning. You’ll notice in this song alone he’s tuning her in three different styles. The mastery. Anyway, all of MARETU’s songs are edgy as fuck, and this one is no different, this time tackling bullying in Japanese schools. The questions throughout the video fucked me up, man.

8. エイリアンエイリアン (Alien Alien) — ナユタン星人 (Nayutalien)

My favorite song of this quirky little alien series, Alien Alien has the cutest little dance and I’m super excited to see it in the next Project Diva game, even though it’s getting a dance pv instead of a story one. At least it fits with the original pv for once (stares at Sea Lily Deep Sea Tale). Anyway the story of a little telepathic alien who doesn’t quite understand human emotion falling in love with a human and realizing that not even impending oblivion can negate this feeling is just so sweet. I hope they’re happy.

9. ハウトゥー世界征服 (World Domination How-To)  — Neru

I was obsessed with this song a while ago, got out of it, and now I’m back into it again. Just when I think I’m used to what Neru has to offer, he goes and sucker punches me with a song like this. I don’t even know how to explain it. The hopelessness of the pre-chorus compared to the sheer power of the chorus. The concept of looking at your past, present, and future selves and trying to decide where you stand and where you want to stand. The “let’s promise no matter what from now on that we’ll tear off the price tags on our backs”  — a motif from the earlier Abstract Nonsense of being priced and labeled. It’s just so good. Definitely worthy of being the title track of its album.

10. シティー・ボーイ (City Boy)  — Mitchie M

This last song was really hard to pick, because I’ve really only been listening to the first eight songs on this list over and over, occasionally throwing in World Dominaiton How-To, and outside of that everything else is mostly just listen-once-when-I’m randomly-in-the-mood-then-back-to-repeating-the-others. But of the rest of the songs in my giant music library, this one has been randomly played more often than anything else. It’s extra strange because it’s actually a cover that was done for a New Wave Vocaloid album, but Mitchie stuck it on one of his albums and then I was hooked. Mitchie is another master of Miku tuning, though you’ll notice that his specialty is making Miku sound ungodly realistic, whereas MARETU specializes in using her voice in unique ways. I would have liked to talk about Seraphim on the Ring or Assassin Princess here instead, since they’re way newer and also Mitchie’s original work, but that just wouldn’t have been truthful to my current music tastes. Sorry, Mitchie.

Taari, Reginald, Kaitlyn, Mika and Elena are on their way towards Ursidae Town to claim their fourth badge and participate in the third contest of La Huerta. Tagging along is Blight and Vishakha. During the night of their journey, they stop in their tracks and set up camp to bond and rest. Taari, Reginald and Elena are seated with Blight, while Kaitlyn and Mika are seated with Vishakha. Everyone’s Pokémon are called out to have their share of dinner.

Blight: So, what made you guys decide to join the Pokémon League?

Elena points at Blight.

Elena: You know damn well sure, Uncle Blight! I want to beat you. In fact, everyone in Aryndelle wants to.

Blight: Well... that’s some solid motivation and determination there, Elena...

Meanwhile, Reginald thinks for a brief moment and gives his answer.

Reginald: Actually... at first I joined the League just so I could surpass my father and completely reject him. But now... after what happened in the Pokélympics, I share the same dream with Taari.

Reginald looks at Taari and smiles, while the Vaanti boy looks up and raises his fist.

Taari: To be the very best like no one ever was!

Everyone else smiles at what Taari said and continues.

Everyone else: To catch them is my real test. To train them is my cause.

The group continues to sing the rest of the Pokémon Theme Song. Meanwhile, something spherical among the trees is watching them. After the sing-along, Kaitlyn and Mika are then asked by Vishakha.

Vishakha: What about you guys? What made you decide to be contestants? 

Kaitlyn and Mika look at each other then back at Vishakha.

Kaitlyn: Well, we both decided to be contestants at the same time and for the same reason.

Mika: We watched you and your amazing performances since you started pursuing the position of Contest Queen last year.

Vishakha is surprised by their reason and smiles.

Vishakha: I never knew I was a role model.

Vishakha then pulls the two girls into a tight hug. Kaitlyn and Mika then hugs her back while resting their heads on her shoulders. 

Kaitlyn & Mika: We will be Contest Queens, Vishakha.

Vishakha proudly smiles at their determination. Blight joins the conversation.

Blight: How did you guys meet?

Kaitlyn and Mika look at Blight who sits beside Vishakha. The others tag along.

Kaitlyn: We met two years ago during the Pokémon League tournament.

Mika: Kaitlyn helped me find my first Pokémon, which was my Shinx.

[FLASHBACK]

Recommended Music: Whispered Farewell (ES)

Two years ago, in the La Huerta League Tournament, Kaitlyn is seated in the Elite Four booth, along with her parents, Jake and Taylor McKenzie. Suddenly, her stomach growls. She turns to Taylor.

Kaitlyn: Mama, I’m hungry.

Taylor smiles and looks at Jake.

Taylor: I’m gonna head outside the booth and buy Kaitlyn some food.

Jake: Sure thing. Get some for me too, Princess.

Taylor and Kaitlyn leave the booth and make their way towards a hot dog stand. While Taylor is ordering their food, Kaitlyn spots a worried girl looking around for something. She approaches the girl.

Kaitlyn: Is there something wrong?

The girl clasps Kaitlyn’s hands, begging for help.

Girl: My Shinx! He’s missing!!

Kaitlyn: Don’t worry. I’ll help you find him.

Girl: Oh, thank you so much!

Taylor eavesdrop on their conversation and looks for the girl’s Shinx as well. She feels a small paw on her feet. She then crouches down and finds Shinx under the hot dog stand, scared and lonely. While the girl looks around, Kaitlyn approaches her mother, confused.

Kaitlyn: What is it, Mama?

Taylor smiles and points towards Shinx. Kaitlyn crouches down and spots him. She smiles as she opens her arms towards him.

Kaitlyn: It’s okay. I’m not gonna hurt you. I’m a friend.

Shinx cautiously approach Kaitlyn and paws her hands. When the girl smiles, the Flash Pokémon smiles back. He leaps in her arms and starts licking her face.

Kaitlyn: Hey!

Kaitlyn chuckles and Taylor smiles as she takes and pays for her order.

Taylor: Alright, dear. I’ll be going back to the booth. Get back to us soon after helping that girl, so you could eat.

Kaitlyn: Okay, Mama!

While Taylor makes her way back to the Elite Four Booth, Kaitlyn returns to the girl.

Kaitlyn: Hey. I found him!

The girl cries tears of joy and humbly takes Shinx from Kaitlyn. She hugs him tightly while the Pokémon nuzzles her cheek.

Girl: I though I lost you...

Kaitlyn smiles and joins their hug. After pulling away, the girl and Kaitlyn introduce themselves.

Mika: My name is Mika.

Kaitlyn: I’m Kaitlyn McKenzie.

Mika startles.

Mika: McKenzie?! Like you’re related to THE Jacob McKenzie?!

Kaitlyn: Mhm! I’m his daughter.

Mika squeals and shakes her hand.

Mika: I can’t believe I’m acquaintances with an Elite Four member’s daughter!

Kaitlyn: Acquaintances? Why not Best Friends?

Mika: Really?...

Kaitlyn: Yeah. Let’s be Best Friends, Mika.

[END OF FLASHBACK]

Mika: And on that day forward, we were inseparable.

The two best friends pull each other into a loving hug, while everyone cries tears of joy after hearing such a beautiful story.

The group continue to bond with each other, friendships becoming more closer. Late in the night, the group decides to skip sleep and travel instead so they could reach Ursidae Town at dawn.

Blight: Alright, is everyone settled?

The rest of the group nod at Blight as he puts on his backpack.

Blight: Great! Let’s g--

Recommended Music: Whatchoo Lookin’ At?! (Choices)

Suddenly, something spherical and pink falls from a branch above Blight and lands on his arms.

Blight: What the...?

He looks down and sees a Jigglypuff.

Jigglypuff: Jiggly!

Everyone becomes startled as they know what kind of chaos a Jigglypuff can bring. 

Everyone: Uh-oh...

Immediately, Jigglypuff begins to sing. The soothing melody quickly tires everyone around her as they fall to the ground and drift off to sleep. Once Jigglypuff finishes, she looks around to see everyone asleep. She puffs her cheeks in anger and walks towards Reginald’s backpack. She finds a marker inside it and commences her prank. 

After a few minutes of sleep, everyone wakes from their slumber. They turn to look at each other and started laughing at what Jigglypuff drew on their faces. After a moment of laughs and jokes, they come across a river and wash off the marks on their faces before continuing on to their journey.

Recommended Music: You Tryna Start Somethin’?! (Choices)

As they walk on the path towards Ursidae Town, Taari spots a pebble and just kicks it towards a boulder on the side of the path just for the heck of it. When the pebble hits the boulder, a metallic sound is heard. Everyone notices this and tilts their heads in confusion.

Reginald: That’s highly unusual. Rocks don’t produce a metallic sound when they are struck with an object. Unless...

Elena: It’s not a rock at all.

They all approach the boulder and run their hands on it. The boulder does not feel rough like how it should be. Instead, it feels smooth like steel. Blight speculates.

Blight: This “boulder” is probably a cover for something.

Blight puts on his goggles and activates a heads-up display, showing the details on the “boulder”.

Taari: What is it, Mister Blight?

Blight: The “boulder” is a door to a hidden underground facility.

Vishakha: Can you open it?

Blight: Unfortunately, no. The security program in this hunk of metal beyond me. Only Zahra can bypass through it.

Blight thinks for a minute and turns to Kaitlyn and Mika.

Blight: Kaitlyn, I need you to bring out Lucario. Mika, you bring out Absol.

Kaitlyn: Huh?

Mika: What for?

Blight: Lucario can use Fire Punch and engulf Absol’s horn with flames. Absol will then harness these flames and use Megahorn to slice the door open.

The two girls hush at Blight’s idea and does exactly what he said. They call out their respective partners.

Kaitlyn: Alright, Lucario, use Fire Punch to strengthen Absol’s horn with flames.

Mika: Absol, harness those flames then use Megahorn on that boulder.

Lucario and Absol nod and get to work. Flames engulf Lucario’s paw as he gently holds Absol’s horn. Absol then harnesses these flames as her horn glows lime-green and grows. She then tilts her head to the side and swings her horn at the “boulder”. The “boulder” splits in half and opens up a hatch that leads underground. Blight turns to everyone.

Blight: Get your game faces on. We might come across something dangerous.

Everyone nods, while Kaitlyn and Mika return their Pokémon. Afterwards, eveyone climbs down the hatch. Once reaching the bottom, they are in a hardly lit room.

Taari: It’s so dark...

Reginald: Well, that is the point of an underground facility.

Recommended Music: Partying Like Nothing’s Wrong (Choices)

As the group takes another step, the alarms go off. Gleaming red lights flood the room while sirens boom. Everyone covers their ears while Arachnid soldiers arrive to surround them.

Arachnid Soldier 1: Freeze!

Arachnid Soldier 2: Stay where you are. No funny tricks.

With the group still having their hands on their ears, Blight activates his goggles and emits a pulse. The pulse deactivates the alarms and also rendering most of the soldiers unconscious with a deafening sound wave. Those that are left are startled.

Arachnid Soldier 3: Damn it! It’s that guy who captured the spy we sent in the Pokélympics!

Arachnid Soldier 4: We have to stop him.

Meanwhile, the kids see a bunch of Pokémon in cages behind the remaining soldiers.

Kaitlyn: We have to save those Pokémon!

Mika: We have to split up! Some of us should stall them while the rest rescue the Pokémon.

Elena: Vishakha, Blight and I will fight them off. Go!

The kids begin to rush towards the trapped Pokémon but they are intercepted by a soldier.

Arachnid Soldier 2: Oh, no you do--

Before he could do anything, Vishakha leaps and kicks him in the face. He falls to the ground unconscious. The remaining three soldiers and the children are startled by her strength.

Taari: H-How are you THAT strong?!

Vishakha grins and faces the remaining soldiers with a pokéball in her hand.

Vishakha: Martial arts, black belt.

The children hush while Blight chuckles.

Blight: She was tough to put to sleep every night when she was young.

Reginald takes the cage keys on the unconscious soldier’s belt and rush towards the cages with the others. Blight and Elena pull out their pokéballs and so do the remaining soldiers, while the kids hurry to the cages. A battle commences.

Blight: Let’s go, Volcarona!

Vishakha: Dragonite, I choose you!

Elena: I’m counting on you, Umbreon!

Arachnid Soldier 1: On your feet, Machamp!

Arachnid Soldier 3: Ten hut, Conkeldurr!

Arachnid Soldier 4: Go, Poliwrath!

Recommended Music: Team Magma/Aqua (Pokémon)

As all six Pokémon come out of their pokéballs, Blight turns to Vishakha, surprised.

Blight: When did you get a Dragonite?!

Vishakha winks and grins as she shoots Blight with finger guns.

Vishakha: I won’t tell ya!

Blight: Alright, bet time! If I get to deal more damage than you, you tell me your story.

Vishakha: Alright, but if I get to deal more damage, you treat us pizza in Ursidae Town.

Blight: Deal!

Vishakha: Deal!

The two best friends nod at each other while Elena does a face palm. The Arachnid soldiers have had enough.

Arachnid Soldier 4: You two brats better get serio--

Blight and Vishakha glare at the soldiers.

Blight: DON’T CALL US BRATS!!

Vishakha: DON’T CALL US BRATS!!

Volcarona and Dragonite’s eyes gleam red as they await their commands.

Blight: Volcarona, use Rage Powder then Fiery Dance!

Vishakha: Dragonite, use Hurricane and Thunder Punch!

Volcarona flaps her wings and puffs of red powder scatter around the room, surrounding the soldiers’ Pokémon. She then spins and flaps her wings again, sending small embers floating towards the powder. Once the embers make contact, the powder reacts and explosions begin to surround the Fighting-type Pokémon.

Meanwhile, Dragonite clenches his fist and a small hurricane surrounds his arm. Soon after, electricity starts to surge through his arm, charging the hurricane. Dragonite then throws a punch towards his opponents, sending an electric-infused hurricane towards them.

The soldiers’ Pokémon wince in so much pain after receiving high amounts of damage from Volcarona and Dragonite, but they remain strong.

Arachnid Soldier 1: We’re not done yet! Machamp, use Thunder Punch!

Arachnid Soldier 3: Use Fire Punch, Conkeldurr

Arachnid Soldier 4: Ice Punch now, Poliwrath!

Machamp’s fist engulf in flames; Conkeldurr’s fist surge with electricity; and Poliwrath’s fist becomes encased in ice. The three then throw punches towards their opponents, sending three blasts of fire, thunder and ice. Elena interrupts.

Elena: Umbreon, use Psychic!

Umbreon’s eyes gleam blue as she uses telekinesis to control the oncoming blasts. The three soldiers and their Pokémon are startled.

Arachnid Soldiers: What?!

Umbreon then sends the blasts back to where they came from. The Ice Punch blast hits Conkeldurr, freezing him; the Fire Punch blast hits Machamp, bursting him into flames; and lastly, the Thunder Punch hits Poliwrath, shocking and causing him to faint. With only two Pokémon left that are close to fainting, Blight takes the opportunity.

Blight: Alright, Volcarona, finish it wi--

But before he could finish, Vishakha interrupts.

Vishakha: Use Dragon Rush and Flamethrower, Dragonite!

Dragonite flies towards Machamp and Conkeldurr, as he is cloaked with a blue aura that takes the shape of a dragon. He then breathes fire, empowering the dragon cloak with flames. He then hits his two opponents and explosion occurs, blowing away the Arachnid soldier. After the explosion and the smoke clears, Dragonite stands while Machamp and Conkeldurr are laid on the floor, fainted. Blight freaks out.

Blight: NOOOOO!!!

Vishakha: YEET!!

Elena proudly embraces her Umbreon; Vishakha celebrates with her Dragonite; and Blight rolls on the floor and despairs while Volcarona chuckles shyly. They eventually return their Pokémon and walk over to the soldiers to restrain them.

Blight: I can’t believe you got ahead of me...

Vishakha: Well, I’m just that awesome.

Blight: Yeah, yeah...

Recommended Music: The Victim... I Knew Him... (Choices)

Meanwhile, the kids reach the cages and start releasing the Pokémon. They come across different sized cages containing different Pokémon; Taari finds a trapped Shelgon; Reginald finds a trapped Sneasel; Kaitlyn finds a trapped Serperior; and Mika finds a trapped Vulpix. They all unlock the cages but the trapped Pokémon back away in fear. The kids then slowly approach them.

Taari: It’s alright...

Reginald: We won’t hurt you...

Kaitlyn: We’re all friends here...

Mika: We’re here to free you...

The Pokémon consider their words. Shelgon slowly approaches Taari and lets the Vaanti boy pat his head. Sneasel walks over to Reginald with her claw reaching out to him. Serperior gently slitherrs towards Kaitlyn and lets the girl caress her cheeks. Vulpix leaps into Mika’s arms and licks her face.

The kids take the freed Pokémon for their own as they tap their pokéballs on their heads. After freeing the rest of the Pokémon, they reunite with the others.

Blight: Great job freeing all those wild Pokémon.

Vishakha: Congrats on your new partners too!

The kids smile and thank them. 

Recommended Music: From the Shadows (ILITW)

Meanwhile, Elena looks at another door.

Elena: There’s still more to this facility.

Blight: We should check it out but watch yourselves.

Everyone nods as they make their way towards the next room. They open the door but there is only pure darkness inside it. They muster the courage to enter but as soon as they enter, they are greeted by a familiar and uneasy voice.

Voice: I’ve been alerted to your presence but the way you all defeated my soldiers and free the Pokémon so easily was an unexpected outcome...

A mechanical suit activates inside the room, barely illuminating the room with its neon lights.

Reginald: That voice... it... it can’t be...!!

The suit slowly makes its way towards the group. There seems to be someone walking right beside it, someone who hasn’t been seen in ten years...

Voice: It’s great to see all grown up... grandson...

Everyone’s expressions sink down to fear as the person shows himself.
