I will always stand firm that Bugsy is the hardest bug type gym leader..

I have always had this curse, where no matter how many times I attempt to take on Bugsy. He will always win the first few times.

Started in soul silver, where he swept my team, and I was forced to evolve bb (my only flying type, who was a pidgey) in order to stand a chance against his ace

Anytime, I played gold or silver Upstate, even if I chose the firestarter, what would happen is he would slam me into the ground the first 2 to 3 times

And God help you if you are fighting him in Pokémon tower defense 2. Having to take on an army of spinrack, his Metapod, Ariados & Scyther all at once, oh, I feel the pain of those who lost to him because I just took him on and lost-

I've been tapering off one set of medications and onto new, different ones with a lot of side effects, both of these things can fuck you up quite a lot, but I've also been getting really into Pokémon so my brain has just been flicking a switch up and down between 'SUFFERING AND TERROR' and 'haha pigerchu'

So, Pokémon Masters has this little thing called “Strength”.

A number calculator that tells us the combination of all stat multipliers on a unit or team (Level, move level, (no) EX, etc).

Well, I was curious: Which units absolutely suck and which ones are the BEST according to this number?

I did the math, so here we go:

If Bugsy’s on a team by himself then it’s the lowest possible strength out of any non-eggmon unit.

Likewise, Lisia has 910 base strength at level 1, 1/5, no EX.

Using SS Kris as the main master fair used for these calculations, she has 735 base strength at level 1, 2/5, no EX.

Not to mention that SS Kris has less strength than Lisia at level 150, and with both EX’d.

Using this information, it appears that Lisia has the highest base strength number in the game, surpassing that of master fair units.

(now, the strength number means absolutely nothing in this game lmao, but it’s still interesting that Lisia is the strongest unit according to the code. in practice? not so much.)

So, statistically, Bugsy is the weakest unit in the game while Lisia is the strongest unit in the game at 0% investment.
