One of the reasons I really do not think I'll watch the new Lilo and Stitch movie is because Agent Wendy Pleakey was rendered so badly that I knew from the get-go they were gonna remove the fact that he dresses up in women's clothes. That was probably one of my favorite part of the movie (Even though then I didn't exactly know what transgender meant, or how gender roles could have been different.) and now they legit made that part of him so obsolete for what, corporate values?

If I was younger and the hear me out culture came now, I think he'd been on mines.

Anyways, I have no real interest in it.

What's sad is that Dean was harassed for not including a dress for Pleakley as well as dressing him in drag until he release his concept art proving that Yeah, he did TRIED to convince Disney to allow it to happened but Disney chose not to.

Now, I doubt it's because Disney was worried about the anti-wokes and donald trump; rather, I think Disney assumed that trans and the drag queen community would be offended by it because back then, they would dress their male characters in drag for comedic purposes and not to show how progressive they were. I mean, if they were progressive back then they would've included that Lilo and Stitch deleted scene in their movie where it tackled racism and obnoxious tourists too.

But then again, it is clear that a lot of trans people like myself really wanted to see Pleakey wearing drag or dressing like a girl rather than using advance alien technology to transform into a human so if Disney IS progressive and care for the LGBTQ+ community, you would of think that Disney would listen to the trans folks and included him in drag.. I have to admit, i never watched the Lilo and stitch movies but I did watch the tv series. But anyhow, Disney does not really care for the LGBTQ+ community and they only care if it brings them money so I honestly hope to god that the Lilo and Stitch live action film fails and no, I'm not insulting the animators or concept artists that work on the movie because obviously they needed the work to be able to afford living and eating, I'm just praying for Disney's movie to fail to hopefully they take a hint and realize that no one wants to see live action remakes of their movies, they want to see actual animated films. And before you bring up Wish, that movie ONLY failed because it looked rushed, the plot wasn't great, the trailers weren't good either and it just looks like a uninspired corporate film rather than a movie that had obvious time and work put to it like movies like Puss in Boots: the last wish? (i think it's called), The Wild Robot and Flow. It also looks like Disney was trying to copy the artstyle of The Last Wish but failed. So, I'm brazilian.

My mom was watching something yesterday and I had no context of what it was, all I know is that I was hearing Garnet giving a mission to shaggy and for some reason Kira from death note was also there.

Apparently she was watching the live action of Lilo and Stitch. I checked and yep:

Pleakey's voice actor in Brazil is Mckeidy Lisita, voice of shaggy since 2013.

The tall blue alien lady is voiced by Marcia Coutinho, who voices Garnet.

And Jumba is voiced by José Leonardo, voice of Kira

he knew he gained attention from the way he dramatically exclaimed at the sight of the man who dared to try and kill a mosquito that was flying around his head, but pleakley didn't care. he needed to protect the insect that he was determined to protect. i think of him as a gay dude who looooves crossdressing but i think most hcs of him are swag and valid. i can't see him being w a woman but that's literally just me so take that w a grain of salt

Also let's appreciate the story efficiency in this scene. It's showing Lilo's frustrations with the state of her home, it's showing her intelligence, it's getting to bond with Stitch through being Good Scary together, it's ecalating Jumba and Pleakey's perceived stakes for catching Stitch, and it all cumulates with Bubbles seeing Lilo causing trouble and Lilo realising, which is a microcosm of the whole film's conflict where Lilo's natural reactions to a deeply unfair situation put her at risk of being taken away and neither Lilo nor Bubbles are comfortable with that, but they don't know how to stop it.

Lilo & Stitch is a fantastically crafted film.

Alright, I watched the Stitch movie today.

So, spoilers are below

YES PLEAKEY DOESN'T EVER WEAR DRESSES OR MAKEUP OR HIS FUCK ASS BOB!

But we do get a bath scene with Jumba jn the room, and him wearing a frilly flower tank top and black bell bottoms.

Words have lost meaning. Like people will just threw the word Nazi or Woke to anything these days. Like if Lilo and Stitch was made today and was just like the OG, people would cry about Pleakey.

I am spoiling the live action Lilo & Stitch. And I am doing it up front and plainly.

Do not fucking see this movie. Do not waste your money on this. Period.

They made Nani give Lilo up to the American government. They made Nani LEAVE Hawaii and pursue being a marine biologist. They made a native Hawaiian character give up her sibling to pursue a dream that she originally did not have. This is imperialist propaganda at its FINEST.

The original fucking movie is about family staying together. It's about indigenous people being able to stay with each other and stay in their home and be together! That's the whole fucking point! Nani is Lilo's last living relative on her homeland—it is jarring, it is disgusting and disturbing that Nani would not only leave her last blood relative alone, give her up to the very government that is harming native Hawaiians TODAY, but also travel to the "mainland" for her dream!

Not to mention, Nani's actress isn't fucking Hawaiian. She's much paler in photos and real life. They fucking darkened her for this movie.

Don't even get me started on the transgender subtext of Pleakley's "human" disguise from the original movie being completely erased in favor of him being played by a regular ass white man. Jumba doesn't have his accent, they made him more villainous, and his "human" disguise is a non-fat white man—which part of his original joke, I know, is that he was bigger and was more clumsy in the movie because of his size, but to have the main shape of his character completely removed is also fucking weird.

This live action movie is a desecration to the original. I encourage you to not see it, please. Don't give Disney any of your money on this one. Just watch the original. Please just watch the original.

The new message in the live action movie is disturbing and gross.
