morning patrols were something katsuki hated with a passion. as his break finally rolled around after a day as dead as ever, he slumped onto a random bench.
his peace lasted approximately five minutes until a group of fans came around, phones 'discreetly’ out and pointing towards him, though the flashlight gave away that they were recording. as the one scrambled to turn it off, another spoke up.
“dynamight? no way! i thought you'd be like– going crazy after seeing the rankings that dropped today.”
a record scratched in his head, his head tilted slightly as his eyebrows raised. “i don't think my patrolling is the problem.”
“yeah, it's probably your temper or something!” another one said, finger raised in the air. he didn't have time to be offended, as they then shoved a phone in his face, showing his ranking.
fifteen. not bad for how many people he'd cursed out recently. all he could do was scoff. “'s not horrible.”
“yeah! but she's totally beating you!”
his eyebrows scrunched inwards, his expression incredulous. “..she?”
“your wife! she's in the top ten!”
his eyes widened again, though this time, it was accompanied by a smirk on his lips. one that only grew alongside his pupils at the sight of you in your hero costume, a golden number eight right next to you.
“i guess she is.”
“you're not like.. upset?” they asked, not expecting at all this reaction from the guy who yelled just as much, if not more, at the people that he would actively save.
“nah, she deserves it.” a beat paused, and he looked up thoughtfully. until his fist slammed down onto the palm of his hand. “actually no, my wife deserves better. she's a damn good hero.”
he spaced out slightly, the words they spoke to him going through one ear and out the other as he though about the few missions he'd taken with you.
your mannerisms, the way your personality would bleed into your interactions with others. you had an undoubted professionalism about you. hiding the twitch of your eye with a smile, using your quirk masterfully even in your early career. your face, your body-
he closed his eyes, only after signing the shirts of those fans that had already left, and leaned against the uncomfortable recycled plastic of the bench.
you really did deserve it, and more. he'd have to tell you that..
well, he tried to. but he was beaten by his own words, seeing as the video those fans took of him praising you was trending pretty much everywhere.
as you laid on his chest and scrolled on your phone, a smile on your face as you showed him the screen.
“look, you went up a ranking. maybe you should talk about me more often, huh?”
he couldn't help but laugh. “be careful what you wish for. i could talk about you for hours.”
so now, you actually become an avoided topic for reporters. not unless they want the press conference to last an extra hour just on you.

Recycled Plastics Market is Anticipated to Reach US$30.2 Bn by the End of 2026
Growing consumer preference for recycled plastic products, fast-developing plastic waste management infrastructure, and stronger public-private commitments to curb plastic pollution have positioned the global recycled plastics market on a steep growth trajectory. Today, consumers, manufacturers, and policy makers are rapidly advancing towards more sustainable practices in waste management. Seeing the hazardous environmental effects of untreated industrial waste, illegal dumping of plastics in landfills, uncontrolled disposal of plastics in oceans, and rampant use of virgin plastic in virtually every product, corporates and governments across the world have accelerated their drive to robust plastic recycling initiatives.
Over the coming decade, global revenues from plastics recycling are expected to increase by about 30% annually. Driven by favorable regulations and demand for recycled plastic products, the global recycled plastics market is set to be worth US$30.2 Bn in 2026, rising from a value of US$19.5 Bn in 2019.

Packaging, Automotive, Electronics: Key Segment in Terms of End-Use Industry
During the forecast period, the packaging industry will account for over 60% of the total market share of the global recycled plastics market. This is primarily due to the growing emphasis on sustainable packaging and the circular economy model. Within packaging, the food and beverages sector is the key growth drive. In recent years, technological developments have made recycled resins suitable for use in food applications – a factor that is fueling the demand for recycled plastics in the food and beverages sector. Consequently, leading food and beverages companies have pledged to significantly increase the usage of recycled plastics and compostable packaging in their supply chains and facilities. Other industries witnessing an increased demand for recycled plastics include the automotive industry and the electrical & electronics industry. These industries are poised to observe a surge in demand for auto parts, electric and electronic equipment, ICT products, and auto components made from recycled plastics. Moreover, robust green initiatives and investments in R&D are projected to aid partnerships across the business landscape of the global recycled plastics market.
Despite the sound growth opportunities in the recycled plastics market, concerns around cost and strict competition with first-use plastics in terms of performance are expected to be major obstacles hampering growth across the market. Moreover, improper waste management infrastructure, coupled with the ban on the import of certain waste plastic material in some economies, can further restrict rapid market growth in the near future.
North America to Emerge as the Regional Market Leader Across the Recycled Plastics Market
The fastest-growing region in the global recycled plastic market is North America due to robust plastic recycling programs, relentless green innovation, and presence of global corporations in this region. By 2026, Asia Pacific will hold more than half of the demand for recycled plastics due to the consistent demand for recycled plastics in the packaging, construction, and textile industries of China, India, and Southeast Asia. Further, innovation and greater consumer awareness are expected to substantially improve the plastic recycling rates in the EU by 2030. Prominent market players include Custom Polymers, Clear Path Recycling, Plastipak Holdings, Veolia, KW Plastics, Suez, B. Schoenberg & Co., Green Line Polymers, B&B Plastics, and Jayplas.

The Spotify Wrapped wank has died off, but I'm going to revive it for a second because the mechanisms of the wank itself are still bugging me.
The wanksters believed they had identifieed a problem in the aggregate, and decided to tackle it by addressing the individual.
They thought that if one analyzed all the wrapped lists, it would reveal that listeners avoid Black artists (they were working off of an idle assumption and had no numbers to back it, but this ask is about how they addressed the problem they thought existed; how to not freak out over made up bullshit would be another post).
So then to address what they believed to be a widespread cultural bias, they asked individual Spotify users to examine the trends in their own year-end lists, and use shame and guilt to get them to change their habits. And then the wank in your ask box was about how the end-of-year list doesn't actually show what they think it shows and that the initial hypothesis failed to account for factors like non-mainstream music and artists who are neither Black nor White and the fact that Spotify users often listen to music in more than one way.
But what's bugging me is that you got tons of people who did examine the bias in their end-of-year lists and were dismissed for it.
The one that stuck out to me was the anon who said there were tons of Black artists on their list because they listen to Jazz.
The wankers asked them to look at the list and feel shame and guilt for not having enough Black artists. They did as requested, they looked at the list and found too many Black artist to feel the requested emotions.
And then one of the wankers bit back with "Jazz is the least popular genre among Gen Z".
But that's not what they were asked to show, they were asked to examine bias in their *own* musical tastes. The wank was at odds with itself.
If the hypothesis was "certain Black-lead genres are losing popularity among Gen Z", an examination of Gen Z Spotify user's data could support that hypothesis, and the Jazzy anon would be either a tiny blip on the graph or would be too old to be included in the data.
But if the hypothesis is "you, personally, exibit bias in your our own musical taste" then you have to let someone say "I examined it and it's fine".
You also can't cherry pick only the data that does support your hypothesis. You have to actually count the Gen Z kids who love Jazz and see how few there actually are, you can't just chuck them out of your dataset because someone else's data tells you they're low on the graph.
It's like the "climate change is your fault because you chucked that one plastic bottle in the trash instead of the recycling" thing.
--
It's the usual thing where people are raging at systems they can't reach and decide to fight the other crabs in the bucket.

See now: Water Mother Nature. Water has been around as long as the planet has been. She will be here long after we are all gone. She is has seen it all and will witness everything that is to come. She is the depths of the Marianas trench, she has been the shallows of a back-yard creek.
On to the eco-tips!
1. A lot of phone cases are made of plastic. Even ones made of recycled plastic are well... plastic. But worry not friends! Some phone case companies take old cases and recycle them for you! Castify is one of them, and one that I regularly send my old cases to! To get an address to send the old cases to, email them on their website. Pack those old cases up, and ship them off to be reused! They even offer a discount on orders for sending them the old cases, and they take any brand!
2. Speaking of phone cases, Pela is a phone case company that makes compostable phone cases! They are made from plant material and are actually pretty cute. They are a bit pricey, so they're not for everyone. Other companies have similar cases that are made of plants, made from recycled plastics, or made in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner! Re-Castify is castify's version of this, ecoblvd also makes phone cases, and otterbox has a series called Core. And of course, keeping one phone case for a long time and reusing it over and over is always great!
3. Phone cases usually go on phones, so lets talk about those little guys! It feels like every year, the phone you just got is slowing down, dying faster, and is rapidly collecting more and more issues. Technology is always advancing, which is great! But a lot of the components in electronics end up being tossed in the trash. If you have things like old phones or tablets laying around, and you're unsure what to do with them, worry not! Research your options! Some places like zoos, tech shops, or second hand shops might have tech recycling programs. And of course, selling to a shop that refurbishes and sells tech is always an option. A lot of phone companies and providers have started offering trade ins! Don't feel guilty for upgrading, trade in, sell, or recycle your old phones, tablets, and other electronics!
4. Moving on from tech, lets talk about paper! Did you know you can make your own paper? It was a pretty popular trend in 2020-2022. You do need some supplies, like a blender, a picture frame, some sort of netting, and usually glue or tacks of some kind. But I've done it before, and it's actually pretty fun! You can even sprinkle seeds into it to make a card that you can plant! Google and youtube have some very handy and easy to follow tutorials!
5. Talk to people! Online, in person, over the phone. Everywhere! Share eco-tips (like we're doing here), talk about legislation, organize groups, everything! Keep each other moving and keep spreading information and helping others. It is so important to involve your friends, family, and community in eco-friendly living! We all share the planet, friends!
