...Flappy Bob was an orphaned clown that the Pixies used in a "37 year plan" to take over Fairy World.

Flappy Bob was raised and manipulated in an attempt to corrupt his sense of fun. When the Pixies are defeated, though -

"Sanderson: Oh, smoof.

Timmy: Yknow, you probably shouldn't've sent him to law school.

H.P.: You might've thwarted us this time, Turner, but mark my words, our next 37-year plan will not fail. When you're 47, you'll pay."

(...I don't think we're at 37 years past the original series, but. Maybe the Head Pixie learned how to speed up the process ? It'd be a fun way to bring both Pixies and Timmy back for sure...)

But anyway. I know Flappy Bob went away with his parents at the end of the special. And Timmy obviously gets his memories altered...

...you think Flappy Bob ever reached back out to the kid that helped bring him back to his parents? Even getting a scholarship to Harvard law? Or just a good word in?

You think that Timmy remembers just a little bit of Flappy Bob? That he thinks that summer break wasn't that drastic, just that everyone was rowdy, went to the Learn-atorium, Timmy led a riot, and convinced the head honcho that being too safe was no good?

That seeing Flappy Bob arguing with his "business partners" over the contract stuck in Timmy's mind enough that he looked into law school himself?

The Pixies need to be villains in A New Wish just so that Hazel, canonical lover of paperwork and the predictable monotony of places it is done like the DMV (*cough*, autism, *cough*), to have so much fun with them that it makes them have a breakdown because they're not meant to be fun! They're meant to be boredom incarnate! They rob kids of joy, they don't give it to them! Who is this child? What is going on here?

In the VERY hypothetical situation where dev is taken to fairy world would his hair change from orange to purple?

Very likely it'd be as green as Peri's father, Cosmo!!! Something something dominate traits...

The Pixies would love him no matter the color of hair he has. Although knowing Dev, he'd just dye it black or blue to match the rest of them.

touching on the fey — newborns and babies

reproduction/childhood, biology and social hierarchy/dynamics i think are the most changed aspects of my au. here are some notes on newborns (anti-wanda, juandissimo, and sanderson pictured)

anti-fairies are born after just 3 months, small with large wings and ears- not cubed but foop/irep has a genetic mutation. they all have pointed ears and claws. they instinctively grab, cling and latch and have poor eyesight, capable of loosely mimicking parents' speech. it is not uncommon for them to have teeth.

they rapidly become more independent over the following months, and go from teeny helpless little bundles wrapped up in their own wings to scrabbly, hungry, vocal little creatures. they're curious little buggers and inherent lovers of chaos.

common mutations are ear shapes, devil tails, horns and hooves (hooves are cherub descent). anti-wanda was born with black hair that lightened with age.

fairies are born after several years(still not sure just how long)- large with small wings and only their primary and neural cores active. i will write about the core system later. they are not round but are chubby little guys, having drained a lot of magic to develop and be able to function independently. they're big in proportion to their parents, definitely two arms needed to carry for the average small fairy. there are several subspecies and fairies are from the branch of True Fey.

they are open-eyed and more cognizant than human newborns, able to lift their heads, grab for things (poorly) and follow movement. they make noises but no words, and are capable of smiling. they will learn to scoot around rather quickly, but their magic cores develop first, so while they might be able to move around and interact/understand their parents their speech and mental growth is extremely delayed. it is not uncommon for them to have full heads of hair.

common mutations are cherubism, four wings, butterfly wings and pointed ears.

pixies are additionally born after several years (though not as long as a fairy), large, open-eyed and more cognizant than a fairy baby. while they're sleepy and non-emotive, they are very good with motor functions and enjoy repetitive behaviors.

like fairies, they only have their primary and neural cores active, but pick up learning language and physical advancement far faster than their fairy cousins- pixies take longer to pick up magic instead. they're intelligent, dexterous and quickly become independent- i want you to imagine a toddler in a suit calmly making themself a bowl of cereal, utilizing a stool.

pixies do not show much genetic diversity. most pixies reproduce extremely rarely (with the exception of One) due to biological and social limits. all pixies are born with straight black hair, rounded ears and unusually dull eyes for a magic being- a pixie and a fairy will almost always make another pixie; their genes are very dominant.

I still think about the "Au Pairs are Pixies" theory sometimes. One thing is for certain: Dale would not put up with the Pixie's normally drab wardrobe. He has an image to keep.

I have a feeling Timmy now Gets pixie customs more than when he was human. As in to an outsider, it might look like Timmy is just dressed like a proper pixie. To any actual pixie, Timmy's dressed up in a dead on Sanderson impersonation

Due to prolonged exposure with the Pixies, Timmy is more culturally a pixie than a fairy! It doesn't help that he had to go to boarding school for several years. Although Timmy prefers being with Fairies, he does exhibit quite a few Pixie traits.

Only HP can tell them apart in this state- and only because Timmy's vocals is slightly an octave off.

Sanderson doesn't know how to feel about that.
