There are many interesting architectural and decorative styles used in Final Fantasy XV and on a recent visit to Pitioss Ruins I became fascinated with this tile pattern on the inside the giant yellow rotating globe.
The colours and textures remind me of ancient carpets or tapestries but the surface reflects the light of Noctis's flashlight. The symbolism is strong with two masked faces with halos, one light and one dark, mirror images of each other, surrounded by flowers and other patterns. I have no idea what they represent but the pattern is beautiful. All images copyright Square Enix Co Ltd.

TBH I had to check some tutorials online cos I was STUCK for hours. I tried my best to do it on my own but hell. Man. This dungeon was a trip. Whoever made and designed this is an evil genius. I still love you FFXV. Always.

A little clip from when I managed to land to Regalia by Pitioss Ruins (it was then followed by me spending two hours tackling the dungeon)

Oh, you just didn't have royal. That's all on console. I thought you meant there were some differences in dialogue, etc. I've never played windows, so I wouldn't know. I've played console three times--once og and twice royal.
Anyway either just before or when windows came out they put out royal. It has the expanded Insomnia with the Glaive presence and the copy of the Regalia plus the wall and cerberus (which was a much needed addition imo but that's not why we're here)
They fucked ravus and gladio over imo just. In general. But gralea especially. But that's a post for another day.
And of course your insight is very good.
Ok- I must issue a small apology to the ffxv writers for all my bitching about Gladio’s arc and how he needs a scene where he gets to Be A Shield that mirrors Ravus shoving Gladio into the Regalia
I hadn’t yet gotten to the citadel in windows edition, I didn’t know Gladio gets a little moment with The Fierce Guardian
(Do I still think that it would’ve been best to have him go against Ardyn or Ravus instead? Yes. Yes I do. Am I a little pissy that it doesn’t exist on console? Yes. But credit must be given where it’s due and this is the exact type of scene I wanted to cap off Gladio’s arc)

I’ve been reading one too many time travel fix its in between tackling Pitioss Ruins and I’m about to make it everyone’s problem. Pitioss asks you to venture alone into the darkness, into a labyrinth of Sisyphean puzzles. It asks you to persist when you fail, time and time and time again. It asks you to backtrack, to circle around, to pass through the same door thrice from new angles. Pitioss demands you commit to your choices, to face the darkness and the myriad deaths with unwavering resolve. It is the only way you will make forward progress. Pitioss makes you leap blindly across chasms because you know you will be caught and it makes you topple larger than life effigies to forge a new path. One that, after an immeasurable amount of time in darkness (even if broken up by frustration and quitting and turning back) ends in returning to the surface and seeing the sun
Pitioss is a dungeon you can only access when you go back. When you do it all again.
I think in a way, it speaks to how the past story is altered by the present. How maybe Noctis could change the past with his knowledge. Yes. He’d have to come back, again and again and again. Yes. He’d have to fail, still have to commit to his choices knowing he’d fail. He’d have to tread fine lines and confusing paths and leap into the darkness and trust that he’d be caught. He’d have to walk on the shoulders of giants and topple gods to open new doors. He’d have to cross through the same scene thrice from new angles to find new ways forwards.
And after he completes the labyrinth of solving the past, he can be greeted by the future. By the sun.

I am going crazy
Why did Square Enix decided to make the Regalia type F with such controls?!
THAT'S WAY TOO HARD TO USE?
I can't land the regalia for god's sake just because I'm trying to reach Pitioss Ruins?!
I always crash, I try to slow down but IT DOESN'T SLOW DOWN AND WHEN I AM NEAR THE LAND, I CRASH AND I DIE
Can someone help me with advice of I don't know, I'm goinf CRAZY

Obviously doesn't help it's Japanese but the Crestholm Channels guide in the Final Fantasy Ultimania is so complicated. Especially compared to a lot of the other dungeons. Truly a hell dungeon XD

@hamelin-born @raven-6-10
The Wise One's children are children, and they'll be treated like such. The difference comes when they're old enough to complete the First Hunt. If they do and they do it the Horwalt way, they'll get treated the same way as Kraja. With cautious reverence and a whole lot of respect. If the child earns another Clan Name, they'll be treated like a member of that Clan. Though maybe with a bit more healthy respect because Kraja is still their mother.
So yeah, the general vibe is Respect the Kids.
(Crowe is a special case because she's Nameless, which is percieved as a huge stigma against her, even though it isn't her fault.)
***
Now I have a scene in my head where Regis set up a meeting between himself and Crowe (and Nyx and Libertus. They got dragged along without their say) in the family wing of the Citadel. Which got the Glaahkari lightly freaked out, because why are they meeting the King in the family wing of the Citadel???
Regis is trying very hard not to stare at his sister. Libertus is at once in protective big brother mode. Nyx is bristling like a cat about to pounce in the background. From the way Regis looks at her (and from what they've heard about his enquiries into her beforehand), Libs and Nyx think he might try to crowbar her into a marriage.
None are prepared for Regis's questions about her parentage.
Neither are they prepared for him to bring out the bloodwork. Because by the Spirits, this is actually legit. At least one of the trio will have a mental breakdown at the thought of Mors Lucis Caelum having fucked Kraja Horwalt.
That's just
Wow
He died shortly after? No surprise there. Well, it all depends on what kind of deal he made with the Wise One. And she'll never tell what it was.
At this point Crowe kicks Libertus and Nyx out of the room because they're not conductive to this meeting anymore. Regis is now having flashbacks of Mors doing something similar.
Then Crowe sits back down across from Regis, legs crossed and casually leaning back. She raises an imperious eyebrow and asks Regis what he wants to do about this.
Regis whips out the legitimisation paperwork at once. Because Bahamut's Bladed Wings, this woman is so Lucis Caelum. How come nobody ever noticed?
Crowe thinks about accepting simply to get rid of the Altius part of her name she got slapped with by the Lucian immigration office.
How many people know who is Crowe's mother? If Regis asked discreetly about any daughter Kraja might have had, would people know who he was talking about or would they be confused because since when the Witch of Galahd has kids?
Everyone in the Altius Clan but the children know. Nyx and Libertus know, obviously. As does Murus and some of Libertus's closer relatives.
(Murus doesn't like Crowe because she's Nameless, but he would never dare to actively do something against her for fear of retribution from the Wise One.)
Basically everyone in the Glaive knows and some other people who figured it out on their own. There's also quite the number who suspect but don't ask because they Don't Need to Know, Thanks.
So it's kind of an open secret no one talks about.
Everyone but maybe Crowe herself, Nyx, Libertus and (only when really preassured) Aerugo Altius, would admit to it, when asked directly.
So yeah, if Regis were to make decrete enquiries through a third party, he would hit a road block real fucking fast.
