In discord rp shenanigans and sometimes on here, Shino somehow always ends up becoming an accidental fanservice by getting his clothes ripped off of him, or he gets sexually harassed by anons, or gets cursed very questionably by magic anons, etc...

Either way, he's always ending up in very questionable situations and it's rather funny.

you know, in the "you always laugh at things that aren't funny" scene, i always thought tatiana was responding "i like you", not "like you?". then i saw all the gifsets and posts showing she says the latter

just to confirm, i checked the subtitles and sure enough, it was "like you?". i was ready to accept that i was wrong and move on but then i watched the show in german with my mom (since she doesn't speak english) and in the german dub, she does say "i like you".

so i don't know if it's a subtitle error or a translation error but i really think the "i like you" makes it so much gut-wrenching with how villanelle reacts - the way she lights up and says yes.

a mothers most important job is to love their child. and oksana being relieved and overly happy to just hear that tatiana likes her. that speaks volumes.

Letters From Watson Liveblog - Apr. 28

The Stockbroker's Clerk, Part 1 of 2

A neat reversal to begin the story; instead of Watson coming over to Sherlock's at Baker Street, it's Sherlock going over to Watson's in the Paddington District. It's a bit of a shame that Sherlock evidently doesn't really come by that much, judging by what Watson said.

But regardless of how they see each other again, they always fall back to their pleasant routine of deduction, surprise, explanation, and Watson going all "why it's simplicity itself" at the end.

Sherlock seems a tad upset that Watson isn't nearly as impressed after the explanation, but isn't that how these conversations usually go, with Watson's surprise at the simplicity?

I think the fact they haven't seen each other in a while made Sherlock jump at the chance to explain his reasoning, so maybe there wasn't as much time for him to take in Watson's awe and wonder as he would have liked.

Mary's in this! Or should I say Watson's wife, since in these stories that's how she's always referred to as. And she's just upstairs, doing whatever it is she's doing. Probably communing with her dead mother or preparing for some mystery adventure of her own we'll never see.

It's appreciated that there is no attempt at a phonetic spelling of Mr. Pycroft's dialogue, what with him being cockney and all.

This case so far is fairly banal. Young guy got laid off, got a new gig, and is now getting a mysteriously better offer. I guess it should be expected of a story with the riveting title of "The Stockbroker's Clerk," though I'm sure Sherlock is ecstatic by how mundane it all appears to be.

Mr. Pycroft's tune changed rather quickly, but £100 in 1893 is apparently £16,440.36 today, or $20,589.66 if Google is correct, so I honestly can't blame him.

You know, for someone who rightly had initial doubts about Mr. Pinner and his too-good-to-be-true offer, Pycroft is oddly willing to just believe everything he's being told. But then again, £100 was a lot of money back then, so it's understandable.

I assume "hugging myself" is a euphemism for being generally really happy, but it's much more fun to take it literally and imagine him wrapped in his own arms with a big smile on his face for hours and hours.

Abnormally high pay, now an odd lack of facilities and strangely trite busywork? It feels like a real Red-Headed League type scenario going on here. Perhaps Mr. Pycroft lives near a bank or other wealthy institution.

Well now, this case just got much more weird. I don't know what Pinner's plan is, so I assume the double identity is to help sell the illusion of a bigger company than is in reality. And the fact there are no other people suggests that whatever Pinner's after, he wants it just for himself. But who can say? Maybe they really are a pair of identical twin brothers and one of them lost their tooth, so the other yanked theirs out in solidarity.

And also our dear Watson. I'm curious why this case, out of the numerous ones Sherlock has likely been brought these past few months, was the one he went to Watson with. Was he simply in the area, so he might as well ask if Watson's available? Or did he think that whatever the truth underneath it all was so interesting that he just had to show Watson? Either way, it's nice of him to bring along his friend.
