“are we doing family costumes this year?” art asked you. halloween was in a week and surprisingly spirit halloween still had a few costumes. “no, she said she’s too old for that now. she wants to be a zombie.” you told art, picking up one of the zombie makeup kits. art made a confused face. not many eight year old girls wanna be zombies for halloween. “why a zombie?”

you dropped the making up kit into the shopping basket. “patrick’s been binging the walking dead with the girls when he watches them.” you reveal, having only found out a while ago yourself. “remind me to have a conversation with him about that later.” art mumbled.

“can we trick or treat at lily’s house? her neighborhood has better candy.” your daughter spoke, interrupting you trying to do her makeup for the hundredth time. “yes, we can if you stop talking and let me finish this.” you told her and she immediately straighten up and closed her mouth. but because she was an antsy eight year old that only lasted a minute until she was back to squirming in her seat and asking you random questions.

you put the final touches on her zombie makeup before picking up the mirror flipping it towards her. “alright girly, take a look.” you watched as her eyes and her smile grew wider. “mommy, i look so good!” she took the mirror from you to examine her face up closer. “let’s go show daddy.”

you and art stood in the kitchen while your daughter hide behind the wall. “both of you cover your eyes and i’ll count to three.” she order the two of you. “but i’ve already seen your outfit.” you said. she stuck her little arm out and pointed a finger at you. “both. eyes. closed.” she demanded with a bossy attitude you liked to pretend she totally didn’t get from you.

after peeking around the corner and seeing that both yours and art’s eyes were closed she walked out to stand in front of you. “ok, open your eyes in three …two…. one.” you and art tore your hands away from your eyes. “look daddy, i’m you but as a zombie!” she beamed.

“you look amazing! oh my god.” art smiled at his daughter who stood dress up in an all white tennis outfit that had little dirt and blood stains and her hand holding a bloody tennis racket. “we used the picture from when you and uncle patrick won the doubles as a reference.” she said. “i can see that.” art moved to pick her up, an action that was getting a little strenuous given how big she was now but he hasn’t throw his back out yet so he supposes it’s still ok. “you found my old hat and everything. and look at this makeup, mommy did very good.” he turned to you giving you a smile. “how did you come up with such a costume?”

your daughter took a deep breath getting ready to explain. “well, first i was just gonna be a plain zombie but there was gonna be hundreds of zombies tonight and i thought that was too boring. so i decided to combine my two favorite things, you and zombies.” she said with a zombieish groan at the end snapping her teeth at art. you laughed at their antics before clapping your hands together. “ok, time for pictures so we can go.” art let her down to the ground and she ran off to get her tennis ball looking trick or treat basket before posing up a storm for you.

“whoa, zombie art donaldson. awesome costume kid.” patrick greeted the three of you in front of the zweig house before high-fiving your daughter. tashi and lily soon came out of the house. “who are supposed to be.” you asked lily. “spider gwen from into the spiderverse. see mommy let me put in pink clip ins.” she showed off the curly pink clips that blended in with her hair. “nice.” you gave her a nod of approval.

more pictures were taken of the girls in their costumes standing in front of tashi and patrick’s halloween decorations.

“candy candy candy.” lily and your daughter chanted, their arms hooked together as they skipped ahead of you and tashi. art and patrick hung a little further back. “hey, patrick can i take to you.” patrick hummed. “could you maybe not watch the walking dead with two eight year olds.” art suggested. patrick scoffed. “oh come on. we just got to season three things are getting good i can’t leave the girls hanging. plus i cover their eyes at any inappropriate part so don’t worry.” patrick patted art’s back. art shook his head mumbling an “ok.”

the girls circled the block at least three times to get as much candy before heading back to tashi and patrick’s house where they traded back and forth until they crashed on the couch.

art carried his daughter out to the car bidding good night to tashi and patrick. once at home and inside your held your arms out so art could pass your daughter off to you to get her ready for bed but art said that he would do it.

“sorry, we didn’t do family costumes. i know you wanted to.” she sleepily mumbled. she had her teeth brushed and pajamas on, face clean of all the makeup that art gently wiped off. “you don’t need to apologize i’m fine with it. plus your costume was way better anyway.” art pincher her sides lightly. she let out light giggles. “thanks. good night, daddy.”

“good night.” art tucked her in tight and placed one last kiss on her forehead before shutting off her lamp and leaving.”

Coming out of my hole to tell you someone in my Art Club made a Crochet Frisk shawl for Halloween. She was making it in one of our "Free Days" this week. Absolutely amazing <3

Me and my friends people-watched a lot this Halloween. It was really fun. Saw a lot of fun costumes, some were super funny like Ratatouille or cute like with Wall-e and Eva. I saw a Dr. Nefario from Despicable Me and I burst out laughing. I was a Care-Bear because I love dressing up in pink 🩷.

Finally finished this, for anyone wondering about their splashtags, I'll copy the text I added on my wip about it under the cut.

Edit: forget to mention the bg is hastily edited concept art from the Tellius Recollection books. Spoilers for the Tellius games are in, just a warning.

For weapons, every weapon here has the Kraken Royale special in Splatoon 3, and someone agessss ago tagged my first inkling Kurthnaga suggesting he could turn inot the Kraken, and I thought that was fun.

Kurthnaga: He has a roller purely based on the fact my brain thinks he'd use one. Don't ask why it's just vibes I guess.

"Promising Ruler" is a reference to the end of Radiant Dawn, and the number 3108 is a reference to 31/08 or Halloween, because of his Heroes debut. He has the lvl 999 Tableturf badge because I think he'd enjoy playing it, the gold Kraken badge because weapon reasons, the bronze Grizzco badge because I imagine Almedha ropes him in to joining her on shifts sometimes.

Almedha: She has a splatling because I think it looks cool, and does a lot of damage from a far just like a certain dragon laser beam.

"Restless Sister" is because she left Goldoa before the Tellius games and inadvertently helped set events in motion. 2202 is 22/02/07 and is Radiant Dawn's Japanese Release date.

I also think she has some tendency towards violence since in canon she had a child with Ashnard of all people, and I doubt he was ever non violent. So she has Salmon Run badges, the flyfish is because I hate them and anyone with that badge is automatically cool to me.

Ena: She gets the Gal because usually it's pink and so is she, I also think she'd find tricky ways to use the Splash wall it comes with.

"Fortunate Tactician" in this au Rajaion doesn't die(if I make any tragedy it'll be reversible because this is funny squid game au and I like happy endings), and she's still good tactically. 2004 is 20/04/05 and is Path of Radiance's Japanese release date.

She has the Kraken badge like Kurth because of her weapon, X Rank badge because she takes battling as a tactical challenge, and the gold Tableturf badge because I think she'd also enjoy it, but play it less than Kurth.

Rajaion: He gets the charger because I was running out of weapons with the Kraken, so he gets an Elitre because I think they look cool, even if I hate fighting them. Also the spawn in pose is cool as hell.

"Revived King" He gets to live in this au, and not die. With Dheginsea being retired from whatever his role ends up as, Rajaion is technically in charge now. 1004 is 10/04/07 and is Radiant Dawn's Australian release date.

He also gets a matching bg style with Ena.

All his badges reference his luck in not being dead in this AU. The gachapon badge is basically gambling, so luck based, Cuttlefish got revived in Splatoon 3's story, and the wavebreaker is used as a revival device a lot in Salmon Run!

okay so i personally love pink, whites, browns, cream colours and just general neutrals-pastels in the autumn, but you can adjust this to ur personal aesthetic and however you see fit!

the first thing i think of when i think autumn is layering. layer layer layer layer. tops and sweaters, cardigans, jumpers, leg warmers, tights; to keep you warm and pretty ♡

pay attention 2 fabrics! knitted, cashmere, fleece, flannel, all the cosy sorts are perfect for the autumn months ♡

patterns like stripes, leopard print, chevron, argle and plaid are so cute and simple, esp in october / november ♡

neutral colours, like beige, white, brown, cream, grey, black, and pale variants of colours too i think work so well esp in the autumn ♡

anything fur lined is absolutely adorable i rest my case

MASSIVE COATS. i have this big trenchcoat my mum had since i was a baby and i wear it EVERYWHERE in autumn ♡

boots are THE autumn shoes, bonus points if they're fur-lined. they just look so so cute ajdhfjsfjhsjf♡

knit hats and small hair accessories, bonus points if they're in the pretty autumn colours ♡

“oh c’mon jack, you know this is my favourite time of year.” you whine as you follow him up the stairs, his footsteps making the creaky floorboards groan. he rolls his eyes once he reaches the top. “and what do you want me to do about that, huh?” he placed his hands on his hips, his gaze turning into a slight glare.

you returned his glare, causing his own to soften a little. “i want you to come to the party with me. that’s all i ask.” you held your hands behind your back, fidgeting with your fingers as you watched the vein on his forehead disappear. he sighs deeply, rubbing his temples as he thought about your request.

he met your stare once more, this time your eyes filled with more desperation than anything. with one last huff, he finally gave you the response that you’d been hoping for. “don’t expect to wear a costume or anything, alright? and if there isn’t good booze then i’m leaving.” it was the bare minimum, but you squealed, rushing up to him and wrapping your arms around his defined torso in a tight embrace.

he gently peeled you off of him, giving you a gentle pat on the cheek with his calloused hand before locking himself in the solace of his room. you glanced at the time. 7:42pm, meaning that you had just over an hour to get ready and there was still so much you had to do. you rushed to the bathroom, starting to work on your hair, makeup, and finding a costume that would make jack lose his mind.

you finished off in the bathroom, coming out looking the opposite of how you went in. you strolled over to your room, making your way to the mass of clothes in your closet. you wanted something that was simple but not forgettable. something that would turn all heads in your direction without making you seem like an attention seeker.

just as the clock struck 9, you heard his heavy footsteps echoing through the eerie halls, coming in your direction. he landed a few knocks on the door, his tone revealing his irritation. “are you goin’ to this thing or not?!” there was no response, allowing his voice to bounce off the walls. he banged on the door a few more times before you flung the door open.

“s-sorry, im here. let’s go.” you walked past him, but his jaw was on the floor. he was frozen in place, reeling over the sight he saw for only a fraction of a second. you were halfway down the hall, but he just continued to stare at what you were wearing.

you had on a short, tight black leather skirt with torn tights underneath, something you knew always made him weak in the knees. but your shirt is what surprised him the most. it was his well-known ultraviolence t-shirt, but you had tailored it into a skintight lacy bra that could barely hold itself together on your body.

you put on your shoes, feeling as he gawked at you. you looked in his direction, a pink flush covering his pale cheeks. “you coming?” you smiled at his teasingly as he blinked himself back to reality. he rubbed his eyes, muttering quietly under his breath. “y-yeah, just a sec…

he seemed to be in a daze the whole journey to the party. your hands were locked the entire time, but you felt him stealing occasional glances at you, his hands getting sweaty and his body trembling slightly. and best of all, it seemed like he was actually looking forward to the party, but you couldn’t be too sure. 

you and him quietly stepped into the host’s house, instantly being welcomed by the strong smell of beer. you lead jack inside, making him look like a lost puppy that was clinging onto you. you brought him to the kitchen, pouring some beer into a plastic red cup and handing it to him with a warm smile. 

“thanks for coming out with me tonight. i hope this isn’t too much for you.” he shakily took a sip from the cup, his eyes travelling down your cleavage. “no problem…” you picked up on the slight uncertainty in his voice, feeling the need to lighten the mood. “so you really didn’t dress up? you’re no fun.” you gave him a playful punch on the shoulder, making his body jerk.

you noticed his silence, starting to feel a twinge of remorse. you spoke again, but this time your voice was regretful. “y’know what? how about we just call it a night. this party wasn’t as good as i thou-” your speech was cut off when he grabbed your neck and pulled you into a hungry, desperate kiss.

his mouth stayed on your for the longest second of your life before he pulled away,, leaving your expression contorted from shock. he smiled sheepishly at you. “you know i’ve been looking for this shirt…” a dumb little smile crept onto your face as he snaked his arm around your waist, pulling you close. “yeah… i know.”

Could you write a fic on it being Halloween at Hogwarts, and reader is spending it with her besties Fred and George pulling pranks on everyone, and also causing trouble along the way as always? One evening, reader is in detention with Umbridge for calling her out on defending her father Remus, after Umbridge said he was a rubbish teacher and reader went ballistic, with everyone backing her up, when she's on her way back to the common room, looking at her arm where Umbridge marked her (even though she doesn't feel pain it annoys her and Umbridge gets more annoyed she doesn't seem to be affected by pain) , she bumps into the twins looking for her when she's heading back to the common room. Maybe Fred admits his feelings for reader when they sneak out after dark.

Leave it to Umbridge to ruin a perfectly good day. The first half of the day had been spent with your two besties, Fred and George Weasley, setting off Halloween pranks all over the school.

Then, you had Defense Against the Dark Arts with the Pink Toad. And of course, Umbridge decided today was a great day to insult your dad.
