I did a thing because I'm already obsessed with this song lmao.
Now, its not the full song. Please be aware of that. I had to cut parts out that the vocals just... couldn't capture. u.u
But for the most part, he's doing okay with this.
I just imagine Dio getting done with a court session, being Passione's lawyer, and then that night having to do his side gig of being a rockstar by night lmao.

Behind the Mask (PB! Dio x Reader
One-Shot | This Bizarre World)
A/n: IT'S BEEN MONTHS SINCE I'VE UPDATED THIS. HERE, HAVE SOME PHANTOM BLOOD DIO WHILE IT GET BACK IN THE GROOVE :)
I worked as an apprentice for Wang Chang in the slums of the city. I was very young, only in my early teens. It was a small shop where I made enough money to buy food and keep the house I lived in. The job wasn’t that bad. The officers usually stayed away and we got wealthy customers. I didn’t only clean up, or tend to buyers, but I also helped create my own poisons. I hoped that one day I would become known for my poisons. I worked on a new experiment at the counter, crushing up the ingredients. This poison was disguised as medicine. Take a bit of it and you die within weeks. The symptoms were chest pains, swollen fingers, and coughing. It was deadly indeed.
The front entrance bell ran and the door opened. A masked man entered and closed the door behind him. I put down the vial I had in my hand. I eyed the man. One reason I was hired was because I could figure out what the customer wanted in a matter of moments. I was good at deducing things. He was around my age, maybe even older. His crimson eyes examined the area. From the look of it, this man wanted something to take out someone he despised. He ran his fingers around a bottle. A red mark on the side of his face meant he had been struck earlier. It was a fresh wound. His blonde hair had been messily combed back. He was in a rush, I suspect. What really caught my eye were the three moles on his ears. Mr. Chang once told me there was a man from his homeland who had similar moles. They meant good luck. This customer would prosper in life.
“You there,” I said. He turned around. “What are you specifically looking for?” I asked. He put the bottle back on the shelf.
“Do you have anything that can kill a man in a matter of days?” he asked. I smiled slyly.
“Indeed I do,” I replied. I motioned him over. “This powder may seem like medicine, but it’s a poison that can kill someone with just one dose.” I carefully lifted the bowl which the poison was in so the customer could see. “I haven’t had the chance to test it yet, but it should work.” I grinned. “How about we make a deal?” I asked. “You test this poison out on whoever it is you want to kill and you bring me back the results. If it doesn’t work, I will get you a better poison.”
“How much does it cost?” the man asked. He reached in his pocket. I shook my head.
“It’s free for you,” I answered with a grin. The man cleared his throat. Under his mask I could see a bit of red. I grabbed a pouch and poured the powder into it. I grabbed the man’s hand and placed the pouch in his grip. “Come back once the deed has been done.”
“Thank you,” he said, turning on his heel to leave.
“Before you go,” I said, “I have a little something for you.” The man turned back. I pulled out a sharp knife from my pocket. “I’m not going to kill you with this, but rather, give it to you.” I reached my hand out. The man grabbed the knife. The blade was curved, good for concealing. The man ran his finger down the handle.
“This is a good gift,” he said. “But I don’t need it. Keep it for yourself.” He handed me back the knife. He turned to leave. “I shall return once my father is dead.”
“Bye bye,” I said with a grin. Just as he was out, I whispered, “Go out there and take this useless world for all you can get.”
A few weeks passed by. Mr. Chang was out in the back dealing out some poisons I wasn’t allowed to sell with some special customers. I restocked the shelves, standing one my toes to reach the high shelf. The door opened again. I turned around. The masked man was back. I smiled. “Welcome back,” I said. “Did it work?”
“It did,” he answered. “My father has died.” So that’s who he wanted to kill. The slapped cheek must’ve come from the mentioned father.
“So now what?” I asked.  “Where will you go?” I was intrigued by this situation. This customer was going to go places I couldn’t go to. He was lucky.
“My father is owed a debt,” he replied. “I will go live with the Joestars. I will become a rich man by any means necessary and no one will stop me.” I smirked.
“Seems you have a plan,” I said. The man swallowed the lump in his throat. He was slightly red and sweating. “What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue?” I asked. The man’s fingers reached for his mask and he took it off. I cleared my throat. He was handsome, that was true. I felt my face heat up.
“I was just wondering if you would join me by my side,” he said. “It’s because of you, I’m closer to becoming powerful.” He ran his fingers through his hair. “Would you join me?” he asked. I smiled and took his hands.
“Sir, where you’re going, I cannot follow,” I answered. “This is your destiny, not mine.” The man lowered his head. He exhaled slowly.
“May I at least get your name?” he asked. I smiled.
“Yes, it’s Y/n L/n,” I replied. The man looked up and our eyes met.
“My name is Dio Brando,” he said.
Seven years after Dio left to live with his new family, I had become business partners with Mr. Chang. Because of me, business was booming. We were famous in the blackmarket. Speaking of the blackmarket,  Mr. Chang was off at a convention while I stayed to tend to the shop. Unfortunately for me, the son of Mr. Joestar, Jonathan, and his friend had found out that I sold Dio the poison used to kill his father. Apparently, he had given the same poison to George Joestar. Now his son wanted to save him. I didn’t give up without a fight. I was overpowered and lost. I had to give away the antidote I had created soon after Dio’s departure. I was dragged away against my will to the mansion. I was forced to confess my story and was cuffed by the police. I sat in the darkness as Jonathan waited for Dio. A storm was about to rage outside.
“So how is it that you came under these dreadful circumstances?” he asked. I narrowed my eyes at him and kept my mouth shut. I snorted some snot off onto Jonathan’s shoe. I did not like him one bit. If I could, I would use my knife to stab him and get out. Jonathan gave an exasperated sigh and walked away. The front door opened without a loud sounding creak. Dio was back.
“Butler!” his voice called out. “Why is there no light?” My lips softly parted at his voice. It’d been a while since I last saw him. I knew he was just a customer, but I was drawn to him. Amazed by him, I guess I could say. I cupped my hand over my ear, trying to drop in on Jonathan’s and Dio’s conversation.
“Get up,” an officer said. He lifted me up by my collar and dragged me behind a curtain. I was closer to conversation now. Jonathan’s friend was talking now. I held my breath. What was to happen next? I clenched my hands. I felt sick. I felt vulnerable here. I reached into my pocket and grabbed my knife. I had a good grip on the handle. I was ready to stab anyone.
“This face is familiar to you, isn’t it?” I was grabbed by my collar again and thrown out in the front. I grunted and nearly tripped. Dio gasped. His eyes widened in horror as he looked at me. I kept a serious face.
“This person has testified that they sold you the poison,” Jonathan explained. Dio was sweating. His teeth were clenched tightly. Mr. Joestar entered the room with the rest of the officers. I kept my eyes on Dio. He was furious. His eyes twitched and he was bound to break his teeth the way he gritted them. Dio sighed and closed his eyes, holding his head down low. He rose from the chair he was sitting in.
“So this is the end?” he asked. I scoffed.
“They won’t catch him,” I whispered softly to myself. “That face and three moles on his ear means he was born with the devil’s own luck.” I braced myself for what would happen next. The officers grabbed my shoulders and dragged me away. “Gah, let me go!” I scowled. “I want to stay.” The officers agreed. I turned around.
“Jojo, I want you to be the one to handcuff me,” Dio said, holding his hands up. “For our years together.”
“All right,” Jonathan replied. I smirked. The constable handed Jojo the handcuffs.
“Be careful, Jonathan!” his friend said. Jojo approached Dio.
“Jojo, being human means having limits,” Dio said, with a sad look on his face. “I’ve learned something. The more carefully you scheme, the more unexpected events come along.” Dio glanced at me and smiled. “As long as you are human.”
“What do you mean?” Jojo asked. Dio’s smile turned into a sinister grin.
“I’m throwing away my humanity, Jojo!” he yelled. I grinned widely. I pushed aside the officers and pulled out my knife.
“Dio, catch!” I shouted. I tried to throw it at him, but with my chained hands it was hard. Luckily Dio caught it. He thrusted it towards Jonathan, hitting Mr. Joestar who took the hit. Dio took the splattered blood and painted it on a mask he held onto. He placed it over his face and laughed maniacally. I covered my face from the bright light. When I removed my hands, Dio’s body had been shot at. He laid outside in the rain. But I knew this wasn’t the end of him. He wouldn’t be the same man behind the mask  I met years ago.
He would be back stronger then he was before.
The World would be his and I would be right beside him.

A very underrated part of Phantom Blood is when Dio tearfully pleads that his abused and impoverished upbringing is to blame for his villainy and he only lost sight of what it meant to be good as a result of his alcoholic father, then Speedwagon, a man we can infer has a very similar origin story, emerges from the shadows out if nowhere and says "Nah dude you just fucking suck."

Araki listed Dio's gender as "⚨" on his updated Character History form, differentiating him from Kira and Valentine who Araki listed as "♂." Basically, Araki confirming that DIO transcends not just humanity but also gender.
Top graphic via Jojo_wiki's twitter (my added highlight), lower scan from Hirohiko Araki's New Manga Techniques. The original text reads "性別" (gender/sex).

🧛‍♀️Happy Halloween! I wanted to draw Giorno in costume but couldn't choose between a vampire and a ladybug, thus this idea was made.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have a modern day AU where Dio and Jonathan have joint custody of their sons, but they have very different ideas on how to raise them well 😅 Giorno already starts with blond hair, and he actually cries cuz he's raised by 1 good dad who taught him how to express himself 🥹 Erina and Jonathan are married and Dio and Pucci are a thing cuz Dio doesn't believe in the institution of marriage and Pucci will bend the rules of pre-marital affairs for a man he loves the way he loves God 🙏
